Much as I would have liked to see a Fire starter that wasn't bipedal, for what it's worth, Pip's design looks like the better choice overall in its own right. To me it looks much more recognizable as a MONSTER rather than an embellished animal, and I can forgive the "two legs better" look this time because of the mythical precedent of satyrs, which helps add meaning to it that I can appreciate.
