Hello and welcome everybody! After months of discussion and voting, we're finally at the point where we can begin playtesting CAP 29. To catch everyone up, Smogon's Create-A-Pokemon Project is in the final phases of building CAP 29, and this tournament is a part of that process. Our goal is to test the mon as thoroughly as possible in order to make informed final revisions and complete the process. For more on the CAP Project in general, click here. Unfortunately, at this point CAP 29 is not yet on the Pokemon Showdown server, however information about it can be found here, and you can access the mon on CAP's test server here. Once signups are finished and the tour begins, CAP 29 will be accessible on Pokemon Showdown.
It is important to note that this tournament offers an array of prizes for those who perform well. Points for CAP's 2021 Tournament Circuit will be awarded as per the point system below. At the end of the year, the 12 players with the most points will earn a spot in the 2021 CAP Championship, the prize for which being a custom avatar on Pokemon Showdown. Additionally, the CAP 29 Playtest winner will be awarded a custom banner on Smogon, as well as the option to have their name's color on Pokemon Showdown changed, as this is the Color Change CAP.
Rules:
- This is a standard [Gen 8] CAP tournament.
- The format is best of three, single elimination.
- Changing teams in between matches is allowed.
- You are required to post your replays.
- All Smogon tournament rules apply.
- Any change in tiering will not take effect until the following round.
- Matches must be played on Pokemon Showdown or Smogtours.
- Please use this guide while scheduling with your opponent.
