CAP 30 So Far

In this thread, you may post work-in-progress and final stat spreads for the community and the TLT's consideration, and make comments on other peoples' submissions. The Stats Leader, Lasen, will decide on a slate for voting based on the community's input. In the Stats Limits thread, the Stats Leader decided on the following limits:

Limits:
Physical Sweepiness: Limit is 135
Physical Tankiness: Limit is 115
Special Sweepiness: Limit is 110
Special Tankiness: Limit is 115

BSR: Limit is 550
Additionally,
  • T value must be 3 (T=3)
  • Hard limit of 120 Speed
  • If running Drill Peck (and not Brave Bird), an extra 5 BSR can be added
  • BST must match CAP30b's total of 540
  • OCAT cannot say "mixed" for either forme

BSR ABUSE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND WILL NOT BE SLATED!

BSR abuse is doing things like 150 HP and 70 Def/SpD to create a theoretical optimum with the limits that you have. The purpose of the stat rating limits is to restrict what submitters can do, not to give them a license to game the system. If you cannot justify your stats legitimately and have not proven that you aren't just making the best stats within the limits, you will not get slated.

A spreadsheet for calculating the ratings can be found here. To use it for yourself, create an editable copy with File > Make a copy. If you don't have a spreadsheet program, OpenOffice and Google Sheets are free. You must have the stat rating values listed correctly in your submission or it will be ignored for the slate.

When you are satisfied with your stat submission, mark it as finished using the following final submission post format:

I know what you are all thinking. "You're not Lasen." You would be correct. I will be proxyposting for Lasen since it is very late his time.

"With 30b's stats finalized, we move onto the item form, 30i! I am very happy overall with how the previous step of the stage went and I expect this part to go just as smoothly. Now, with Da Pizza Man's spread having won, this means that our BST is set to 540. This is a strict number we must adhere to when submitting stat spreads, meaning we cannot stray away from it by even one point. As CAP 30 is built around Giratina's item changing module, this means that we have the opportunity to submit spreads with the same base HP (in our case, base 85). However, this is mostly seen as a flavor aspect and will not affect the chances of your spread getting slated, just a neat thing to consider if you so wish. Similarly, base stats don't have to match 30b's numbers.

Onto more practical things, I must remind you to set your T value to 3, a guide which I'll be linking again here. PLEASE double check your values, as we had to disqualify 30b spreads because their limits were off. Even being above the limit by a few decimals means you can't be slated!

On the initial BSR calculator, go to the final page, the one labelled as "Turns value (T)"
1634943736645_0.png

You will be met with this page. You can double click on the big green box that reads "1.86611" and edit the value manually.
1634943736645-png.png

Once you have done so, it should look like this. Do not touch any other setting if you're not sure what you are doing.
1634943736645_2.PNG

On top of that, 30i spreads have the liberty of going up to 555 BSR if one wishes to run Drill Peck instead of Brave Bird. I believe this gives us even more creative freedom and I look forward to see if anyone chooses to use it. Now, I must remind you that I can veto any spread that tries to engage in "BSR abuse". We don't need to have a spread go to 549.42 and have access to every single coverage option, touch exactly upon our limit of base 120 Speed, and a boosting move as I will be disallowing said attempts to min-max. Be sure to provide as much competitive reasoning as you can in your stat submissions to avoid these things happening.

As a reminder, here's the defining moves list. Submissions must clearly indicate which Defining Moves were considered when developing the stat spread.

Required: At least one of (Gunk Shot / Poison Jab / Sludge Bomb), at least one of (Brave Bird / Drill Peck / Hurricane / Air Slash), at least one of (Roost / Recover), Body Press

Optional: Taunt, Knock Off, Rapid Spin, Thunder Wave, Toxic, Ice coverage (at least one of Triple Axel / Ice Punch / Ice Beam), Fire coverage (at least one of Flare Blitz / Blaze Kick / Fire Blast / Heat Wave), Swords Dance, Nasty Plot, Acid Armor, Coil"

I know that 120 Speed might not be too functionally different from Speeds in 110-119 range, but I've really wanted to see us commit to a CAP that's greater than or equal to 120 Speed. And well, 120 is the maximum allowed per stat limits.
The love for Swords Dance seems to have fallen off lately, so I'll pick up the slack here. Swords Dance at 110 Attack is a good place to be. The idea is that CAP30i should be pretty scary at +0, but it's going to fall short of certain KOs so that defensive counterplay isn't completely screwed. However, if it's able to get a Swords Dance off, it should be absolutely terrifying and break through defensive structures, especially if that defensive core has been chipped down.

Unboosted STABs hit pretty hard on its own, but +2 Brave Bird and Gunk Shot hit really hard. At one point, I thought that it would be good to force CAP30i to only have Brave Bird for its 120 BP STAB, but Gunk Shot really helps it act "utility wallbreaker" with its high poison chance. Additionally, 110 Attack is relatively low compared to some other spreads here, so the extra power of Gunk Shot will be useful for its unboosted damage.

It might seem excessive to have Swords Dance, 110 Attack, and Tinted Lens on one Pokemon. CAP30i's most spammable STAB Brave Bird is doing around 15-20% recoil from a 2HKO and upwards of 30%-40% recoil from an OHKO, and CAP30i cannot hold Heavy-Duty Boots. It should absolutely be able to dish out some hefty damage.

**All calcs have had Brave Bird and Gunk Shot modified to be 144 Base Power**

If you're wondering how much damage Swords Dance-boosted attacks will do, just multiply the rolls by 2. Including those calcs makes it too cluttered.

Sufficiently Pressure (unboosted 2HKO):
252 Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 220 Def Zapdos: 188-222 (49 - 57.9%) -- 98% chance to 2HKO
252 Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 198-234 (51.2 - 60.6%) -- 93.4% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Landorus-Therian: 229-270 (59.9 - 70.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Slowking-Galar: 252-297 (63.9 - 75.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Arghonaut: 312-368 (75.3 - 88.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (33.1 - 39% recoil damage)
  • you need 130 Attack to even have a chance to OHKO Arghonaut so the rolls from 110 Atk aren't really a dealbreaker for me
Can pivot around CAP30i (unboosted 3HKO):
252 Atk Crobat Brave Bird/Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 112-133 (36.8 - 43.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO (11.8 - 14.1% recoil damage)
252 Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 168+ Def Corviknight: 156-186 (39 - 46.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery (16.5 - 19.7% recoil damage)
252 Atk Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 142-168 (36 - 42.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Offensive Pokemon barely survive in a pinch:
252 Atk Crobat Brave Bird/Gunk vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Dragapult: 264-312 (83.2 - 98.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (28 - 33.1% recoil damage)
252 Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tapu Koko: 240-282 (85.4 - 100.3%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zeraora: 264-312 (83.2 - 98.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
85/85/85 bulk ensures that Zeraora and Tapu Koko can OHKO CAP30i with their STAB moves. It also means that Jumbao can't 2HKO CAP30i with Moonblast after Stealth Rock damage if CAP30i is healthy enough. It also means that any decently powered Future Sight is baically going to OHKO CAP30i, providing balance teams more avenues of counterplay. Honestly, if CAP30i is going to be incurring recoil from Brave Bird, I don't think the exact bulk matters that much, as long as it's not objectively bad.

252 SpA Tapu Koko Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat in Electric Terrain: 354-416 (113.8 - 133.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Zeraora Plasma Fists vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 338-398 (108.6 - 127.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Jumbao Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 86-102 (27.6 - 32.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
80 SpA Slowking-Galar Future Sight vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 348-410 (111.8 - 131.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 SpA Slowbro Future Sight vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 296-350 (95.1 - 112.5%) -- 75% chance to OHKO
A side note: I honestly think that this CAP30i spread would really appreciate Knock Off. However, I know there are concerns over Knock Off on CAP30b, and I don't want Knock Off to be a dealbreaker for my spread, so I'm willing to let that play out in movesets.

The idea behind this spread is that it makes CAP30i a true glass cannon, capable of taking the top off the enemy team. As a form of balancing, it can still be revenged by common speed control mons like Weavile, Dragapult, and Zeraora. I was going for a faster, frailer Kyurem, a mon that is exceedingly difficult both to switch into and to actually get on the field. For these calculations, I will be assuming an EV spread of 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe and a Jolly Nature. The optional moves I am using are Taunt, Rapid Spin, Knock Off, Thunder Wave, and Toxic. I am currently torn on Rapid Spin and Taunt as potential moves here, and it should probably be left up to the move stage.
I chose 110 speed for 2 very particular reasons: outspeeding Alolan Ninetales and Adamant Weavile. The former matchup makes CAP30i a threatening lead option into common Hail and HO archetypes, as it is easily able to OHKO Alolan Ninetales with Poison Jab. Adamant Weavile is forced out by this spread, as not even Adamant Life Orb Ice Shard is capable of OHKOing, though obviously at +2 it does. Other mons this spread notably outspeeds are Blacephalon (OHKOed by Brave Bird), Kartana, Garchomp, and Krilowatt. However, a few notable threats outspeed 110, namely Syclant, Weavile, Dragapult, and Tapu Koko.

122 Atk is simply monstrous. It has rolls to 2HKO Toxapex and Corviknight after Stealth Rock, but cannot 2HKO either without Stealth Rock up, giving the mon the ability to bowl through teams if the right chip conditions are met. 122 Attack also cleanly 2HKOes defensive Scizor. 122 Attack was particularly chosen to retain Ferrothorn as a check, as even after taking 1 layer of spikes, Ferrothorn is not 2HKOed and threatens CAP30i with a great deal of recoil and chip damage from Iron Barbs. Skarmory is almost never 2HKOed after Stealth Rock and can spam Roost, and Slowbro is never 2HKOed, and threatens with Scald and Slack Off.

More frail Pokemon are going to live in fear of Brave Bird from this spread. It OHKOes many mons with and without Stealth Rock up, including Dragapult, Tapu Lele, and Pajantom. It also has a nasty roll to OHKO Zeraora.

Hitting bulky mons:

252 Atk Poison Barb Crobat Poison Jab vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Ninetales-Alola: 380-450 (108.5 - 128.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 120-142 (39.4 - 46.7%) -- 35.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Sharp Beak Tinted Lens Crobat Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 168+ Def Corviknight: 168-198 (42.1 - 49.6%) -- 30.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

252 Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Ferrothorn: 135-159 (38.3 - 45.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after 1 layer of Spikes and Leftovers recovery

252 Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 172+ Def Scizor: 174-205 (50.7 - 59.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 153-180 (38.8 - 45.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252 Atk Sharp Beak Tinted Lens Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 126-150 (37.7 - 44.9%) -- 4.7% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Hitting frail mons:

252 Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Dragapult: 283-334 (89.2 - 105.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tapu Lele: 286-337 (101.7 - 119.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Pajantom: 298-352 (96.4 - 113.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Sharp Beak Tinted Lens Crobat Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zeraora: 286-336 (90.2 - 105.9%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO

The defensive highlight of this spread is 98 SpD, which was chosen to avoid the 2HKO from Specs Lele Moonblast, giving CAP30i the chance to fire off a Brave Bird or Roost back to full. The SpD is not enough to withstand Dragapult, as two Shadow Balls will kill and Draco Meteor will kill with Stealth Rock, keeping Dragapult alive as a sturdy check. A nice feature of this defensive spread is that Tornadus-T cannot 2HKO with Hurricane.

On the physical side, the low defense keeps Weavile, Syclant, and Zeraora as solid checks to CAP30i. Weavile and Syclant don't even have to rely on their innacurate moves! However, the defense is enough to switch into strong Knock Off users like Rillaboom.

252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Crobat: 166-196 (53.3 - 63%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Crobat: 268-316 (86.1 - 101.6%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO

0 SpA Tornadus-Therian Hurricane vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Crobat: 130-154 (41.8 - 49.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Crobat: 118-139 (37.9 - 44.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252 Atk Crobat Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Jumbao: 386-456 (118.7 - 140.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 252 Atk Weavile Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 374-444 (120.2 - 142.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Choice Band Syclant Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 272-324 (87.4 - 104.1%) -- 25% chance to OHKO

252 Atk Zeraora Plasma Fists vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 444-524 (142.7 - 168.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Rillaboom Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 171-202 (54.9 - 64.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Vision: Stealth Rock is going to be a huge limitation upon 30i, meaning that I wanted to make a spread that could get in, and stay in, in order to minimize that weakness. Coil is the main defining move for this spread, and pushes it into a hybrid wallbreaker/sweeper role akin to NP Tornadus-Therian. This also shores its matchup up vs ground types, giving you a way to not just die to them at 30% HP (aka you don't have to roost). I have balanced Coil out by specifically choosing a relatively low attack stat of 106, which cannot OHKO the faster electric types with Brave Bird while still reaching some relevant 2HKO thresholds. With a Coil this allows you to 2HKO Toxapex, but crucially you cannot KO Pex with a +1 into +0 BB. Bulk is chosen such that HP invested spreads can tank Pult SB, and speed is chosen to outrun 110s but still be slower than Astrolotl.

106 attack cannot OHKO Zeraora nor Tapu Koko with a Tlens BB. That said it can 2HKO stuff like Zapdos/Clef.

104 Spdef means you can invest in HP and live 2 pult sballs, which is funny.

112 speed is fast, but not that fast

80 Def is what crobat has.

85 HP is aesthetic, and I see no compelling reason to change it.

Defining Moves: Brave Bird, Gunk Shot, Coil, Roost, Defog, Thunder Wave.

The goal of this 30i set is to lean into the inherent split between outspeeding certain threats, and pressuring the bulkier walls of the tier with 2hko's. as such, this sets attack and speed are designed to allow 30i to swap between Jolly to beat fast opponents, or Adamant to rip through walls such as Corviknight. 30i's defenses are also built to both allow certain switch-ins and prevent others.

Speed: With full investment and a Jolly Nature, 104 Speed allows 30i to outpace pokemon such as Garchomp, Pajantom, Urshifu and Tapu Lele without a Scarf. However, neutral speed also isn't bad for this, as it allows 30i to still outpace any pokemon with 90 speed or less when fully invested.

WIP
Jolly Matchups
An important part of making sure a frailer 30i is successful is for it to have the ability to threaten the pokemon that are slower than it but can threaten it with a KO back. As such, 126 attack allows 30i to 2HKO the offensive Pokemon it outspeeds with a jolly nature, along with other important Pokemon such as Heatran and Arghonaut.

falling in line with its glass cannon roots, 30i's bulk is heavily lopsided towards the physical side, with its low special defense serving to balance its extreme offensive potential. It's physical defense, then, is used to help 30i avoid being KO'd by priority moves that threaten to finish it off too quickly, as well as allowing it switch-ins via physical attacks such as Knock Off.

NOTE: I would not feel comfortable giving 30i any methods of speed control with this spread, as the speed tier is very specifically chosen to be slower than Pokemon within our hard speed limit to have them serve as checks.

I built this spread around Coil, as it puts less stress on the raw stats to be able to break bulky Steel-types, which I find crucial to 30i's success in its concept. I decided to maximize the ST rating and tank the PT to give 30i a defined weakness in terms of struggling against strong physical attacks while also allowing 30i more switch-in opportunities on special attackers to set up on. 85 HP is the same as 30b and there was no good reason to change it. All calcs assume 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252+ Spe.
While this is meant to be the weak spot in 30i's stat line, this value does serve a specific purpose. 30i can come in on a banded Rillaboom Knock Off, Coil, then always live that incoming Knock Off. All of this assumes 30i is at full health, and this benchmark does not apply if 30i has taken damage from Stealth Rock, but hey, thems the breaks.

252+ Atk Choice Band Rillaboom Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 154-182 (49.5 - 58.5%) -- 98.8% chance to 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Rillaboom Knock Off vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 103-122 (33.1 - 39.2%) -- 99.9% chance to 3HKO
[Max damage is 97.7%]

The Defense isn't much good for any majorly strong neutral attack or any super-effective move worth its salt. With a boost, it becomes somewhat more usable, being able to at least have a chance of living certain attacks from full. It hardly makes 30i into an unkillable beast after a boost, though, especially considering the first two calculations require 30i to be at full.

This is where 30i shines. Its maxed out ST allows 30i to come in and set up on special attackers or generally be able to take hits without, and sometimes even through Stealth Rock.

Beginning with the speed tier, this was very specifically chosen to be able to outrun base 100s to get out of an awkward speed tier while remaining slower than 160+ Astrolotl. We speed tie with Garchomp, and Garchomp is why Astrolotl even runs at least 160+ to begin with! This allows Astrolotl to come in and burn us with relative safety, neutralizing 30i. I believed it to be important for 30i to have at least one way of dealing with it other than having a glass cannon like Zeraora or Weavile on the team, as well as to generally not be so fast that 30i can easily flat-out sweep teams. Notable Pokemon we do still outspeed include Lele, Kyurem, and Urshifu-Rapid. Transitioning into the Attack stat, it is worth noting that 30i cannot OHKO Astrolotl unboosted, and even does not have the best odds of OHKOing at +1.

252 Atk Crobat Brave Bird vs. 96 HP / 0 Def Astrolotl: 229-271 (60.1 - 71.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252 Atk Crobat Brave Bird vs. 96 HP / 0 Def Astrolotl: 343-405 (90 - 106.2%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO

Regarding those pesky Steel-types Tinted Lens is meant to bypass, 30i sure does its job! It is worth noting for Heatran and Melmetal that 30i may end up killing itself in the process if it just keeps clicking Brave Bird due to recoil, though. 30i also gets to severely cripple Landorus-Therian with Gunk Shot as a bonus.

Overall, my submission, while sometimes struggling to get in, is an absolute menace to bulky, slower teams once set up while also having the potential to scare faster Pokemon away with its sheer strength at +1. However, its speed tier is still low enough to where if a check is able to get in with the help of a slow pivot or simply replacing a destroyed mon, 30i can easily get demolished. More often than not, 30i will also have to watch its recoil damage if running Brave Bird, which is often needed for some of the tougher opponents like Corviknight, who isn't even 2HKOed by +1 Drill Peck. Melmetal is perhaps even dicier, as even at +1 this spread is OHKOed by Melm's DIB after rocks, and even if 30i is at full it dies from recoil (takes 25% minimum), preventing 30i from truly 1v1ing Melmetal. Instead, Melmetal is better dealt with by chipping it before using 30i to finish it off. All this is to say that while 30i can be scary, it is absolutely not flawless. This 30i spread does what any good wallbreaker should: punch holes in teams. If 30i is able to do that, I think it'll be just fine.

Defining Moves: Drill Peck, Brave Bird, Poison Jab, Roost, Thunder Wave, Swords Dance, Knock Off

I've completely redone my submission following Lasen's much appreciated feedback. This is a slow but hard hitting stat spread, with lots of versatility in how it goes about breaking opposing teams. I chose Poison Jab over Gunk Shot, as the PJab is still plenty strong enough against Fairy types, while maintaining Slowbro and Toxapex as potential counter. Even with a significantly lower attack stat, +Atk Gunk Shot can potentially 2HKO Toxapex and Slowbro. While Brave Bird has the same power as Gunk Shot, the recoil is a substantial drawback that makes it less of a problem (especially on a slow, rocks-weak mon). There are numerous combinations of the defining moves selected that could viably be run. Drill Peck and Poison Jab provide recoil-free alternatives to Brave Bird, improving longevity but necessitating SD to break through counters. Thunder Wave and Knock Off provide ways to cripple switchins and potentially beat counters in the long run without needing SD.

This stat spread also keeps all the end numbers of each stat the same as 30b. Purely flavour, but quite nice.

140 attack allows 30i to 2HKO the standard Toxapex, Slowbro, Corviknight, and Skarmory sets with Drill Peck at +2, however unboosted it falls well short of 2HKOing these mons. It also falls just short against other common bulky mons like Blissey, Heatran, and Ferrothorn. This makes it more reliant on Swords Dance, hazard chip, full paralysis from thunder wave etc to break, although the absence of recoil gives it better longevity. Drill Peck is able 2HKO the defensive pokemon it hits super-effectively, such as Arghonaut, Buzzwole, Tangrowth etc.
30i does have the potential to 2HKO its would-be counters if it runs Brave Bird over Drill Peck. This forces it to take recoil however, and still requires some combination of +Atk nature/hazards/prior chip/knocked item/high damage roll. Brave Bird also has the benefit of 30i always 2HKOing Blissey, Heatran and Ferrothorn, and allowing 30i to OHKO many offensive checks that might try to switch in on a predicted Swords Dance (e.g. Weavile, Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Zeraora- Drill Peck cannot OHKO any of these mons).

With 140 Atk, 30i can easily 2HKO full PhysDef Clefable and CM Tapu Fini using Poison Jab. Poison Jab also allows 30i to OHKO Tapu Lele, Tapu Koko, Tapu Bulu, Jumbao and offensive Tapu Fini, providing 30i a recoil-free option to destroy offensive checks that try to switch in (without taking recoil), and making it scarier against some of the mons it may want to switch in against.

74 speed allows 30i to outrun most common defensive mons, including the standard Landorus and Heatran sets. Those two can outspeed 30i if they invest heavily in speed, but this is fine for Heatran as that's meant to be a pressure matchup anyway, and Landorus is only a threat if it carries the uncommon Stone Edge (otherwise it may even prefer to underspeed 30i for a slow u-turn).

After a Thunder Wave, 30i outspeeds everything up to Scarf Kartana. Even if it runs Adamant, it is still able to outspeed base 100 scarf mons. 30i cannot use Thunder Wave to slow down electric and ground types, however it switches in well on most ground types anyway, and electric types are meant to be checks so it's not bad that they avoid being paralysed.

The bulk for this spread allows 30i to avoid being 2HKOd by defensive Colossoil Knock Off even after taking rocks damage. It also takes less than 50% from Wood Hammer Banded Rillaboom (Knock Off only has a 1.2% Chance to 2HKO), and even if takes rocks damage, Jolly 30i can fast roost against a Rillaboom.

Even after taking rocks damage, 30i cannot be 2HKOd by the standard attacks from any of the Slowtwins (except Future Sight of course). Even if Sloking-G runs Thunderbolt or Ice Beam, 30i can live this after rocks damage. It also cannot be 2HKOd by Scarf Jumbao Moonblast after rocks, and cannot be 2HKOd from full by Life Orb Moonblast.

Why I dropped Gunk Shot:

The goal of this stat spread is to hit extremely hard, but have trouble switching in. While CAP 30i 2HKO's much of the tier, most of the tier KOs it right back. The choice of high HP and terrible defenses is intentional, to remain frail but have reduced recoil from Brave Bird. An official analog is Darmanitan, which functions similarly. Each stat value is a multiple of 5 away from 30B's respective values, which while irrelevant to the CAP process, is common in form changes and is aesthetically pleasing.

HP: With Base 115 HP, Brave Bird's recoil cannot 2HKO CAP 30i when used on a Blissey. When used against a Heatran, it will not be KO'd by the combination of Magma Storm's Base Damage, Magma Storm's trapping damage, and Brave Bird's Recoil.

Attack: The Attack stat was chosen so that, unless the target is a dedicated physical wall like Slowbro or Toxapex, most Pokemon will be hit extremely hard by Brave Bird. Specially defensive walls like Clefable and Blissey are 2HKO'd, and non-defensive Pokémon must think twice before trying to switch in.

Base 120 Attack with 252 EVs and a Jolly Nature will always 2HKO Clefable, Blissey, and Spdef Heatran. It cannot 2HKO Toxapex, Slowbro, Skarmory, Melmetal, or Magnezone regardless of investment. With 252 Attack EVs and a Jolly nature, CAP 30i cannot KO Kyurem with Brave Bird after Stealth Rock damage (and Adamant cannot OHKO as long as Kyurem still has Heavy Duty Boots equiped).

Physical Bulk: The Physical bulk was chosen to be KO'd by most offensive Pokémon, only able to shrug off resisted hits and weak neutral attacks.

It (almost) always avoids being 2HKO'd Rillaboom's Wood Hammer (0.4% chance), Banded Urshifu-Rapid Strike's Aqua Jet, life Orb Kartana's Leaf Blade, and Defensive Colossoil's Knock Off. Due to CAP 30i's unique item, it can survive hits from other Knock Off users like Bisharp, Landorus-T, Rillaboom, and Weavile. With no investment, Zeraora's Plasma Fists will always OHKO. Max Attack Melmetal will also OHKO with Double Iron Bash. Weavile always 2HKO's with Ice Shard, and OHKO's with Triple Axel.

Special Bulk: Similarly to physical bulk, CAP 30i has a low enough Special Defense to be OHKO'd by strong Super Effective hits, and only be able to tank weak neutral attacks and resisted hits.

With 115 HP / 65 SpD, CAP 30i can live Spdef Heatran's Magma Storm and have enough HP to use Brave Bird. Jumbao will (almost) never 3HKO with Moonblast (0.2% chance). Tapu Fini cannot 3HKO with Moonblast. Zapdos' Thunderbolt always OHKO's if Stealth Rock is up. Tapu Koko's Thunderbolt will always OHKO uninvested 30i. Tapu Lele will always OHKO with Psychic or Psyshock, regardless of investment. Dragapult 2HKO's with Shadow Ball and OHKO's with Draco Meteor.

Speed: 119 Speed outpaces Cawmodore and everything slower, including Adamant Weavile, Astrolotl, Kartana, and Alolan Ninetales.

I kept the HP the same for 30b and 30i because even when disregarding the aesthetic reasonings, 85 HP was a very nice number to work with as a whole.

The Attack is mostly designed to make sure that it would only be able to at most 3HKO its projected counters (Toxapex, Slowbro, and Skarmory) from full health and always be able to 2HKO them from full health after one Coil.

Its Defense kind of acted as a pseudo-dump stat in order to prevent any mixed set shenanigans from being as viable as the main goal of this stat line, though I do feel like it's a very nice attribute for 30i that can still be worked around by the opposition. The projected offensive checks for 30i all are still able to OHKO it or OHKO after some chip, which should be very easy due to the fact that it receiving chip in some from very quickly is inevitable.

Its Special Attack is the main dump stat, meant to be kept reasonable low so that opponents won't need to stress about the likelihood of facing a viable mixed set.

Its Special Defense is designed to be one of the main weaknesses for 30i, as any decent special attacker that's faster can revenge kill it very easily after it has taken inevitable recoil. It is enough for 30i to avoid the 2HKO from Choice Scarf Jumbao's Moonblast from full health, though.

Its Speed allows it to just outspeed Garchomp while making sure its projected checks up to Adamant Weavile would be able to still outspeed it. I also made it so that Krilowatt would always be able to outspeed because I didn't feel like it was important for 30i to outspeed it since it's so uncommon with the small added bonus that it becomes a fairly niche check to it if the opposition happens to be running it.

I chose to focus on Coil more rather than Swords Dance because I wanted to give 30i more variety with what it can viably run. Coil helps 30i hit the benchmarks I would like for it as much as Swords Dance, and I personally believe that its increasing physical bulk can be a very interesting trait. 30i already needs so many conditions to actually have a free turn to set up, not to mention having a turn to be able to take advantage of its boosts. Recoil will still be a very big problem for it, but its potential power when played right makes this hindrance very justified. I also made its special bulk a very prominent weakness of it, since I figured that being overall weak to even decent special attackers would be good compensation for its good bulk. The bulk is still low enough for physical offensive checks like Weavile and Zeraora to revenge kill it easily, even after a Coil boost, and overall strong physical attackers that are faster should be able to often revenge kill it as well due to how much recoil it will be facing. Coil also makes Body Press have somewhat of a niche in case to want to minimize recoil damage, but Brave Bird would still be doing more damage to Steel-types and you'd probably rather run a Poison-type move or a utility move. Poison Jab often does enough of the job against its target for Gunk Shot to be overkill, but perhaps that could justify having Gunk Shot in its movepool rather than Poison Jab due to it being less reliable, though that could very well be very flawed logic. Time will tell, I suppose.

I didn't really touch up on utility moves, though I do firmly believe that Taunt would be a little too overwhelming on 30i, especially with this spread. Rapid Spin is also one that I'm pretty divided, but a majority of the other ones should be fine with this spread.

Defining Moves: Brave Bird, Coil, Roost, Triple Axel, Gunk Shot, Body Press, Knock Off

The point of this spread is to be fast enough to outspeed most things, but have certain mons that will beat it, and to be able to do a lot of Physical Damage, with Tinted Lens making it hard to wall and switch in on, but its attack isn't so high and it is restricted to not hold an item, so Gunk Shot's Accuracy will eventually wear it down. Its goal is more to be a wallbreaker rather than a sweeper. With Tinted Lens and strong Stab moves it and coverage options it beats at least one wall almost always with Knock Off or just beating it with pure damage, but it can't pull off sweeps well with its more mediocre attack. 85 HP is for the same HP as 30b since I think that the HP staying the same makes sense, and its not a bad stat, and its defenses aren't that good, but its not super physically frail.
Roost lets it have some Recovery, and with speed, but it leaves it weak to ground moves because of its speed. Triple Axel beats certain pokemon that are good against it like Dragapult, and Gunk Shot is a strong Stab that lets it break walls, but makes it hard to do entire sweeps. Coil lets it raise its attack and Gunk Shot's Accuracy, with some Defense boosts which could theoretically be used in conjunction with Body Press. Knock Off lets it be more of a wallbreaker against things like Blissey with Leftovers. With its item and Tinted Lens its mediocre attack that could be not that great is made up for, especially on Stab moves, making Gunk Shot very spammable, until it misses at least.
This set lets 30i ohko Weavile with Gunk Shot, but only if it runs max attack, and it also makes it slower, which means that Weavile should always ko it but can’t switch in on it. It can 2hko a ton of pokemon like Slowbro, Slowking, and Zeraora unless they run high physical bulk with Gunk Shot and even hits things that switch in on it like Skarmory or Toxapex for at least a third with tinted lens. It is designed to not hit things too hard or go too fast to outspeed, but if it gets the chance to get a Coil then it will outrun a lot of things and ohko them, but will still basically always lose to certain mons. Tinted Lens lets Brave Bird 2hko Heatran, and ohko after Stealth Rock damage once. Knock Off doesn't reliably do a lot of damage, but it can make the opponent a lot weaker if something like Toxapex gets its Black Sludge knocked off, dealing about 25%, and it can be used when predicting a switch. Knock Off from 30i with 252 Atk does minimum 59% to a Slowking with 252 HP and an item. Galarian Slowking takes the same damage. The attack means that with max attack against Dragapult with no physical bulk at all, Gunk Shot with Poison damage will ohko. Gunk Shot specifically does just under half to Toxapex to make sure it doesn't just get beaten.
30i takes any fighting move, and can switch in on something resisted fairly easily. It is designed to be ohkod by Weavile’s and Syclant’s Triple Axel if it hits 3 times, and it can be ohkod by Plasma Fists from Zeraroa running at least a +attack nature. Slowbro with Modest and Slowking too can only ohko it with Psychic if they run 252 Sp. Atk and a +Sp. Atk nature, and if 30i runs investment in HP or special defense it will be a guaranteed 2hko. The higher physical defense is to boost body press damage, because while it probably wouldn't be run, with Coil it could boost its defense, and Gunk Shot's Accuracy, and with 90 Defense Body Press is a guaranteed ohko on Weavile if it switches in. Heatran with max Sp. Atk always ohkos at max HP with Eruption and always 2hkos with Lava Plume, and if 30i roosts on Heatran then Earth Power has a chance to ohko if 30i has no Special Bulk investment, and it will ohko with Stealth Rock damage even if 30b has 252 Special Defense. It is 2hkod by Dragapult's Shadow Ball. with Specs. Jumbao is ohkod with Gunk Shot or even Brave Bird if at least 96 Atk EVs are on, although a max defense Jumbao always lives a Brave Bird.
30i is designed to outspeed most things, but there are certain key mons it should not outspeed. It is slower than Syclant, and it can’t switch in on it, and it is slower than Weavile, meaning even if or Syclant miss Triple Axel on the switch in it has a chance, and Weavile remains a check to it sweeping with Swords Dance. It is slower than Tapu Koko. It is faster than Hippowdon, and is ohkod by Earthquake if it roosts on Hippowdon, and if it doesn’t roost Stone Edge will neve ohko even in the best circumstances, but if Hippowdon is max atk it will always be at least a 2hko. Tapu Lele with Choice Scarf and a speed boosting nature alone outspeeds max speed 30i, letting it ohko with Psychic with just 72 Sp. Atk EVs. Jumbao can only outspeed with a choice scarf, and even then it doesn't threaten much with Moonblast. 120 also lets you outspeed Cawmodore and deal over half to it with Brave Bird.

Defining moves:
Gunk Shot, Drill Peck, Roost, Thunder Wave, Rapid Spin

The idea behind this spread is, that 30i is capable of being self sufficient defensively against several high tier threats and use the turns it gets, through its defensive typing and bulk, to pick up KOs against a wide range of Walls.
At the same time, since Gunk Shot is it’s highest power move, it still has some counterplay in bulky steels, which are able to take a Drill Peck but still might be overwhelmed with Thunder Wave.

Mons, that can’t reliably check 30i:

With only drill peck though, it struggles vs. Corviknight and Skarmory (You have a 68% chance to 3hko Corvi through lefties and an 88%chance for Skarmory without rocks while not being able to 2hko even with rocks), which means without help from Twave or a lot of chip it can’t threaten them immediately.

At the same time it doesn’t take recoil from Brave Bird and it’s considerable special bulk as well as its serviceable physical bulk lets it tank hits from a host of special attackers alongside its typing that lets it serve as a ground, fairy, Grass and with careful play Fighting type check

Twave and Rapid Spin both give it the ability to help its teams and improve Matchups, that 30i would otherwise lose.
While Twave cripples the steels it can’t break reliably and gives it a shot at doing so, as well as help it outspeed some of its offensive checks, rapid spin let’s it remove hazards, which can otherwise impede its ability to check sever special attacking threats (pairing with a second defogger is probably key here) and with a positive speed nature be incredibly threatening to slower teams, where bulky steels have been chipped enough.

Defining Moves: Poison Jab, Drill Peck, Recover, Body Press, Rapid Spin, Ice Punch, Fire Punch

This set loosely attempts to emulate Lando-T's qualities, but with the key difference of being much less physically bulky.

Attacks: Very nice. Keeping in mind that we won't have access to LO, Band, or any other item for that matter, it's hard to reach truly monstrous values without boosting, which I avoided anyway.

252 Atk Crobat Ice Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Garchomp: 352-416 (98.5 - 116.5%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Crobat Fire Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Cawmodore: 136-160 (56.4 - 66.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Crobat Fire Punch vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Ferrothorn: 292-348 (82.9 - 98.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Defenses: We're fragile but hard to OHKO on the special side. It's feasible that you could invest in bulk for more longevity, but at the cost of being able to get some critical damage on key targets or being outsped. 85/70/90 bulk is pretty respectable in all honesty, specing into bulk is definitely feasible to ensure certain calls

4 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Landorus Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 100 Def Crobat: 263-309 (84.5 - 99.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Tapu Fini Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 88 SpD Crobat: 144-171 (46.3 - 54.9%) -- 62.9% chance to 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 88 SpD Crobat: 262-310 (84.2 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Speed: Our speed-tier is good, but unique in that a lot of relevant matchups depend on what nature you run (Jolly or Adamant). Our range of (meaningful) speed values are 220 to 311, so imagine Lando-T's speed tier (218-309), but with just a little bit extra juice to be able to invest a little bit more into other crucial stats if needed. Also the addition of Rapid Spin to the moveset could provide an interesting role as it the speed boost it provides can tip the balance against base 100's-120's that we couldn't beat otherwise.

Defining Moves: Brave Bird, Poison Jab, Body Press, Roost, Swords Dance

Originally I was going to go with 120 Speed because I wanted for us to be able to reach the speed cap, both because I wanted for CAP30b to form as a fairly conditional Cawmodore Check (I will elborate that in other sections) and because I figured that having as much speed as possible would work well with Swords Dance. I went with 119 Speed because in terms of the metagame, 119 and 120 are functionally the exact same (The only Pokemon with 119 Base Speed are Cinderace, which was banned months ago, and Kerfluffle, who we basically hard counter with our typing and isn't super common anyways), and I generally thought it looked nicer on my spread.

I chose 106 Attack as it allows us to OHKO Special Defense Heatran after Swords Dance, while at the same time it still allows defensive threats like Corviknight, Skarmory, and Physical Defensive Toxapex to avoid a 2HKO from Brave Bird without Swords Dance, and even afterwards live a Brave Bird from +2 (Corviknight has a small chance to be OHKOd from Brave Bird after Swords Dance if it has taken Stealth Rock damage, but both Skarmory and Toxapex always live.) Toxapex is most likely going to be the only one of these Pokemon who is really going to want to stay in on us after we get a Swords Dance up, and it having the ability to threaten us with a Scald Burn or remove our boosts with Haze helps make sure that CAP 30i isn't too overbearing to stall teams while still very much being a threat they have to consider. I also decided against having Gunk Shot and opted for Posion Jab instead as I figured that Brave Bird's power mostly was checked by the recoil it gave us, and having a move that had just as much power (Albiet a worse offensive type) and no recoil would be a bad idea.

252 Atk Sharp Beak Tinted Lens Crobat Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 168+ Def Corviknight: 152-180 (38 - 45.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

252 Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 109-129 (35.8 - 42.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

+2 252 Atk Sharp Beak Tinted Lens Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 230-272 (68.8 - 81.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
+2 252 Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 217-256 (71.3 - 84.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
+2 252 Atk Sharp Beak Tinted Lens Crobat Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 168+ Def Corviknight: 306-360 (76.6 - 90.2%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

I choose to go with 85/106 Defense so that we can hit two notable benchmarks, surviving Ice Shard from Adamant Choice Band Weavile and surviving a +6 Bullet Punch from Cawmodore, both of these after Stealth Rock is taken into effect.

For Weavile, I figured that being able to live Ice Shard from Weavile both makes us an overall more effective late-game sweeper and gives us a bit of a way to scout out its potential set, while at the same time still making Weavile a threat we have to deal with overall (Jolly Weavile can just outright OHKO us with Triple Axel if it gets all three hits in, and even just two puts us in range to KO ourselves with Brave Bird, while Adamant can deal with 30i after a bit of chip damage). I don't really anticipate 30i using Body Press, as the only thing Body Press outdamages Brave Bird on is Magnezone, who takes very little damage from it anyways, but I guess this could be seen as one potential reason for it to be used on 30i.

For Cawmodore, I figured that one thing CAP 30i sort of has to compete with Nasty Plot Tornadus-T in the role of a Flying-Type Wallbreaker, and one of the benfits that Tornadus-T would automtically have over 30i is that it can function as a Cawmodore check, so I figured that allowing 30i to check Cawmodore as well would give more incentive to use 30i when team-building. That being said, we aren't a perfect check for Cawmodore, as we do need to be pretty healthy to check it, the chance of KOing without any prior chip damage isn't super high (Around 37.5%, which could be better), and we take ourselves out in the process. However, I do think the chance of it being there is enough to help quell some of these fears in itself.

Since pretty much all of our checks are special and can take advantage of our pitiful Special Defense, or have powerful super effective moves that can just OHKO us anyways (Syclant OHKOs us with Triple Axel similar to Weavile, and Zeraora has a chance to OHKO us with Plasama Fists (Guaranteed with Stealth Rock), I don't think having such a high defense stat really messes too much with our checks and counters while still making us a better mon overall.

Calcs:
252 Atk Weavile Triple Axel (40 BP) (3 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 348-420 (111.8 - 135%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Weavile Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 194-230 (62.3 - 73.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Zeraora Plasma Fists vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 282-332 (90.6 - 106.7%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO

Due to us have fairly respectable bulk on the physical side, I wanted to make us fairly frail on the special side to overall make 30i a bit more of a glass cannon, but not be so frail on the special side that we are basically just Kartana. I went with 64 Special Defense as it allows Krillowatt to always OHKO us with Volt Switch (And even if it has had its Life Orb knocked off, it still always OHKOs with Thunderbolt and always OHKOs with Volt Switch after Stealth Rock Damage) and it gives Zeraora a small chance to do the same thing after Stealth Rock. It also gives Magnezone a very high chance to OHKO us with Thunderbolt (Guaranteed with Stealth Rock), making it an effective 30i answer.

Calcs:
252 SpA Life Orb Krilowatt Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 320-377 (102.8 - 121.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Krilowatt Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 246-290 (79 - 93.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Krilowatt Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 314-372 (100.9 - 119.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
4- SpA Zeraora Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 200-236 (64.3 - 75.8%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
0 SpA Magnezone Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 294-348 (94.5 - 111.8%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

Feedback is appreciated.

I am curious to see Body Press calcs for +1 (Coil) and +2 (Coil or Acid Armor) from spreads with substantial Defense. While I think making your spread built around Body Press is just wrong, especially since Brave Bird will almost always out damage it, Body Press in combination with Gunk Shot and/or Drill Peck is intriguing enough.

Aside from that, I am really liking most of the spreads so far and eagerly anticipated seeing their justifications fleshed out.

This spread is inspired by the winning spread with some direct stat swaps, between Atk and Def, and SpA and Speed. The spread still manages to achieve what you would expect it to
My reasoning for the specific stat benchmarks are given below:

A speed stat of 118 was chosen to be able to be as fast as possible against relevant targets. 120 would be nice in order to consistently outspeed Cawmodore and Kerfluffle, but in reality is not going to be particularly important due to the latter's low usage and weak damage output on 30i and the former's ability to push through with Bullet Punch after a boost.

I decided to preserve the same HP stat as the original submission as 85 allows us to without any investment whatsoever switch in to 4 Stealth Rocks. While this will still not be ideal especially factoring in Brave Bird recoil it does give us slightly more longevity. I also personally think it is more consistent with in-game logic to preserve the HP stats

I decided that physical bulk would be less useful for 30i than special bulk as a result of our most common switchins either being special, or if on the physical side using attacks that are 4x resisted or completely immune.

Our physical bulk while on the low side, still allows us to avoid the 2HKOs and 3HKOs from quite a few common resisted attacks allowing us to switchin and Roost or start wallbreaking. In addition, if using Coil, it can sometimes allow us to avoid being forced out by some other powerful neutral or super effective attacks at +1 as we will threaten back with a +1 move of our own.

Our special bulk with only 4 EVs of investment in SpDef goes a long way in allowing us to safely switch in on some of the most common Fairy types such as Clefable, Tapu Fini and Jumbao. It also gives us slightly more longevity against walls such as Heatran

113 Atk in conjunction with our combined Sharp Beak and Poison Barb is a solid benchmark for us offensively. It allows us to 2HKO pretty much every Pokemon in the metagame with Brave Bird or Gunk Shot, apart from Melmetal, Corviknight, Slowbro and Toxapex. In conjunction with Coil, a combination of +1 Gunk Shots, Brave Birds, Drill Pecks and Poison Jabs allow us to take this to the next level and muscle through. That being said the move is still not oppressive, aswe are able to be walled by Steels both before and after a Coil unless also running Brave Bird and are still consistently revenged by the faster Pokemon in the metagame such as Weavile, Zeraora and with Dragapult having a higher than 50% chance to OHKO with Draco Meteor. For the sake of calculations all unboosted Brave Bird attacks can also be interpreted as a+1 Drill Peck respectively.

I have chosen not to incorporate any non-stab defining moves as I believe them unlikely to be run with our unresisted STAB coverage.
While Brave Bird is a very powerful move, I do not believe that it will outshine our ability to run additional Poison moves in Gunk Shot, particularly when it comes to defeating some of the common Fairy types such as Clefable and Tapu Fini, which also does not wear us down any further with chip. Furthermore, many of our most powerful calculations with Coil factor in Brave Bird which will wear us down even further, especially since we can't hold Heavy-Duty Boots.

64 SpAtk was chosen as the dump stat to ensure that Cap 30b not bother with special coverage. I believe we are better off as a physical attacker due to the greater reliability of the physical moves at our disposal.

The main spread that I imagine to be run will be 252 Atk, 4 SpDef, 252 Speed Jolly. It's important that the 4 EVs don't go into HP otherwise we will be cleanly 4HKOd by Rocks instead of Surviving at 1.

Defining Moves: Drill Peck, Gunk Shot, Roost/Recover, Body Press, Thunder Wave, Coil

Decided to rework the whole thing. Reviewing the submissions revealed a lot of fast builds that I really didn't stand out amongst. As a result I wanted to have my sub feel more distinct, and felt a good way to do that was go full-on nuclear. This is still running Drill Peck, thus our Flying STAB remains weaker so Steel-types can actually have a shot at fending us of, and our Speed is wholly underwhelming: we get outpaced by a huge swathe of offensive mons and can't even reliably outpace Heatran. Subpar bulk and a serious Stealth Rock weakness also leaves us vulnerable to getting Revenge Killed at every corner, meaning we have to make the most of our time in play to make progress.

30i's entrypoints are going to be weaker defensive mons (esp. Knock users), Choice-locked Pokemon it can abuse like Rillaboom Grassy Glide, Urshifu-RS CC, Tapu Fini Moonblast/Trick, and Jumbao in general, or just pivoting in from teammates. From there it can either fire off attacks or use whatever status moves it elects for to make progress or stay healthy. Thunder Wave seems like a nice way to annoy Pokemon that might try to sit in front of it, or simply to play long-term instead of immediately going for an Attack and nabbing a KO, but getting Revenged the very next turn and potentially ending up in a worse position.

-1 252+ Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Drill Peck vs. 252 HP / 0+ Def Landorus-Therian: 127-151 (33.2 - 39.5%) -- 17.7% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

0+ Def is mostly to show that even relatively low investment PhysDef Landorus is a capable defensive check/pivot. Here's the sample set:

-1 252+ Atk Poison Barb Tinted Lens Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 164+ Def Landorus-Therian: 160-190 (41.8 - 49.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Drill Peck vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Ferrothorn: 153-180 (43.4 - 51.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Steels are the best defensive answers for 30i due to blanking Gunk Shot, meaning we can only use the much weaker Drill Peck as a STAB. Even with Coil factored in, we either get pivoted on, take too much damage, or get crippled by status. We can't even make use of our increased accuracy since Gunk Shot doesn't do anything to Steels.

252 Atk Garchomp Scale Shot (3 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 129-156 (50.1 - 60.7%) -- approx. 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Below are Pokemon we can get thrashed by.

252 Atk Weavile Triple Axel (2 Hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 194-230 (75.4 - 89.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
I had to manually edit this one: 2 hit Triple Axel does 60 BP worth of damage, which is enough to OHKO us after Stealth Rock.

252 Atk Choice Band Syclant Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 188-224 (73.1 - 87.1%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Syclant Icicle Crash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 270-318 (105 - 123.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
(Note that Icicle Crash is without Choice Band)

252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu-Rapid-Strike Surging Strikes (3 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat on a critical hit: 288-342 (112 - 133%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
This one is pretty important as it can always RK us even after n Coil boosts.

252 Atk Zeraora Plasma Fists vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 308-366 (119.8 - 142.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Iron Fist Melmetal Double Iron Bash (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 290-344 (112.8 - 133.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

At +1 Defense:

252 Atk Zeraora Plasma Fists vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 206-246 (80.1 - 95.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Weavile Triple Axel (40 BP) (3 hits) vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 258-312 (100.3 - 121.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Choice Band Syclant Icicle Crash vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 270-318 (105 - 123.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Iron Fist Melmetal Double Iron Bash (2 hits) vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 194-230 (75.4 - 89.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Even with +1 our physical offensive checks are reserved, assuming we've taken Stealth Rock damage. If not, Zera can't KO us, which is potentially a good reason to use Coil over just attacking. This helps solidify that Stealth Rock is a major roadblock to our ability to function.

As a side note, CB Syclant is so good at destroying us after Rocks it even nabs a KO with this:
252 Atk Choice Band Syclant Icicle Crash vs. +2 0 HP / 8 Def Crobat: 200-236 (77.8 - 91.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Heatran Magma Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 162-192 (63 - 74.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after trapping damage
(This Magma calc seems to be broken/misleading, as it kept saying it was a 2HKO after Rocks + Trapping damage, even though it should have rolls to OHKO after the Trapping damage goes through. Keep that in mind)

Below are various Special Attacks we cannot live, some with and without Stealth Rock. Assuming we never get access to SpDef boosting, these Pokemon should always manage to threaten us out with their moves.

200 SpA Kyurem Freeze-Dry vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 218-260 (84.8 - 101.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Krilowatt Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 168-200 (65.3 - 77.8%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

I'm pretty happy with this one compared to the previous. It's obviously super scary, but in actuality this is less immediately threatening than something like Darmanitan, who is not only faster but also hits harder with unboosted Sheer Force Flare Blitz. Now there's plenty of reasons why you don't see Darm, and 30i has much more going for it movepool and stat/typing wise. The point being that 30i has a lot of inherent positives (Tinted Lens, neat typing, Knock-Off immune) and inherent negatives (always weak to SR, no item access, Offensive Poison Type).

I really like the Drill Peck/Gunk Shot dynamic, with one being weaker but reliable, and the other very strong but more exploitable and prone to backfiring. It's what allowed me to be comfortable with going so high on Attack, as otherwise Brave Bird would be a bit too much. I should mention, even with 150 Base Attack, we're doing less damage with Drill Peck compared to Brave Bird.

-1 252+ Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Drill Peck vs. 252 HP / 164+ Def Landorus-Therian: 108-127 (28.2 - 33.2%) -- 92.6% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
Here's the damage my 150 Attack spread does...

-1 252+ Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 164+ Def Landorus-Therian: 112-133 (29.3 - 34.8%) -- 100% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
And this is Brave Bird. From normal Crobat.

Much of the offensive power comes from Tinted Lens making our Flying STAB virtually unresisted, and Gunk Shot's high BP making it generally very strong off our massive Attack stat.

Defining Moves: Drill Peck, Gunk Shot, Roost/Recover, Body Press, Taunt, Toxic

For this spread I wanted to run Drill Peck and Gunk Shot as our strongest STAB moves. I feel like Brave Bird would be so spammable we'd have little reason to run any Poison moves at all. This dynamic gives us one STAB that has almost no resists but lacks raw damage, while the other STAB has high damage potential and status spreading at the cost of low accuracy and PP. This makes it so Steels are pretty solid answers to us, as are Pokemon with naturally high Defense. I think it's important that 30i has Steel-types as a general answer seeing how it generally ignores much of the type chart.

111 Speed gets jump on Base 110s and Adamant Weavile but can be beaten by the many other faster mons ahead of it. If you're not running max Speed you hit a stat of 321, leaving you vulnerable to +Speed Urshifu and thus anything at or above Base 97 that has max Speed investment.

Adamant 111 Attack is enough to let Drill Peck 2HKO Kartana after Stealth Rocks and always OHKO Blacephalon, but cannot OHKO Weavile without hazard chip. Gunk Shot always OHKOs Clefable, but only has a roll to 2HKO Pex and never 2HKOs HDB Slowbro. Buzzwole and Landorus (with -1 drop) aren't 2HKO'd either.

The poison chance is the real seller here. A lot of Pokemon really don't want to switch in even if they otherwise could simply because you can cripple them long-term.

If you aren't running +Attack, Clef can live with extreme defensive investment and Blace isn't always OHKO'd either, though unlikely. I think there's a good amount of merit to running either nature: more Speed means a larger portion of mons you can outpace and finish off or KO, while more Attack lets you hone in on your Ability to hit much of the metagame for neutral damage.

252 SpA Tapu Koko Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 312-368 (100.3 - 118.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Koko is able to KO with Thunderbolt even when Electric Terrain is not active: otherwise, Volt Switch is just as capable at OHKOing 30i

:syclant::weavile:
252 Atk Syclant Icicle Crash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 278-330 (89.3 - 106.1%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO

Even without Choice Band you have a roll to KO. Weavile performs similarly, if not better due to running Triple Axel.

:dragapult:
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 217-256 (69.7 - 82.3%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 351-414 (112.8 - 133.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Draco can KO you while Shadow Ball has a good roll after taking Rocks damage.

:tapu lele:
252 SpA Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 390-462 (125.4 - 148.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Scarf Psychic has no trouble KOing you, considering this is the strongest attacker on here.

:zeraora:
252 Atk Zeraora Plasma Fists vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 320-378 (102.8 - 121.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
4- SpA Zeraora Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 186-218 (59.8 - 70%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Low investment Volt Switch is able to 2HKO you, giving Zera a bit more room in its ability to threaten or force you out, though you will not fall to Stealth Rock + Volt Switch.

Zera can opt for a -Def/SpDef nature if it wants to preserve damage for Special Attacks. In this case you can fall from Rocks chip + Volt Switch. Max SpA sets only secure an OHKO if Rocks are up.

4 SpA Zeraora Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 204-242 (65.5 - 77.8%) -- 25% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Zeraora Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 258-306 (82.9 - 98.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

:tornadus:
252 SpA Tornadus-Therian Hurricane vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 211-250 (67.8 - 80.3%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Torn is the weakest offensive answer on here so far, as Hurricane only has a chance to KO even with Rocks up, and it has to hit Hurricane. Still, this is a pressure matchup and staying in on a potential Hurricane is a risk you have to be willing to take.

The list of answers is greatly increased if you choose to run Adamant. Of note:
:urshifu:
252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu-Rapid-Strike Surging Strikes (3 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat on a critical hit: 300-354 (96.4 - 113.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
:krilowatt:
252 SpA Life Orb Krilowatt Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 374-445 (120.2 - 143%) -- guaranteed OHKO

30is switch-ins:
:landorus-therian:
0 Atk Landorus-Therian Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 70-83 (22.5 - 26.6%) -- 26.6% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Landorus-Therian Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 84-99 (27 - 31.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

:arghonaut:
0 Atk Arghonaut Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 56-66 (18 - 21.2%) -- 93.1% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock

:clefable:
0 SpA Clefable Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 65-77 (20.9 - 24.7%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Stealth Rock
Of note: You can switch into Rocks twice and still dodge a 3HKO from Clef's moonblast.

:jumbao:
This one is a bit tricky. If Jumbao somehow gets Traced Tinted Lens you are not in a good position.
252+ SpA Tinted Lens Jumbao Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 218-258 (70 - 82.9%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Otherwise Scarf Jumbao can only 2HKO you with Moonblast if Rocks are up.
252+ SpA Jumbao Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 109-129 (35 - 41.4%) -- 64.8% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

:rillaboom:
252+ Atk Choice Band Rillaboom Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 123-145 (39.5 - 46.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Choice Band Rillaboom Grassy Glide vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat in Grassy Terrain: 64-76 (20.5 - 24.4%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Stealth Rock

:colossoil:
0 Atk Colossoil Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 91-108 (29.2 - 34.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
0 Atk Guts Colossoil Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 135-160 (43.4 - 51.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Admittedly you have a small number of truly safe switch-ins but I think that's a fair trade-off considering what we have going here. Plenty of strong breakers and attackers often need support to get in safely, and I don't see why 30i should be much different.

Seeing as this move is required but doesn't neatly fit into our offensive or defensive calcs, I figured I would mention it here.
Our moderate but unimpressive Defense makes Body Press pretty hard to justify. The most you get is a better advantage versus 4x Fighting weak mons like Weavile, Bisharp, TTar, and you do hurt Magnezone more since it actually resists Flying.

I decided to stick with Toxic and Taunt as utility options. Since we're already good at breaking a large portions of walls, I felt Taunt was okay. Steels can still threaten us with damage or simply pivot out, and if we use Taunt they're not taking damage that turn anyway. Toxic felt fine as it's a semi-useful status move that doesn't horribly break a lot of our matchups like Thunder Wave might. I am not sure how to feel about Boosting, Swords Dance feels a bit overboard given our stats, but other options feels a bit lackluster. Coil would be great if the defense-raising part wasn't so dangerous. There may be room to fit it, but it wasn't among my considerations.

I definitely wanted to be pretty cautious with my spread: though I'm running Drill Peck I don't actually get close to even the unmodified limit of 550. Tinted Lens is very strong and with our movepool still up for arms, I wanted to stay modest on the strength of 30i's stats. With the Knock-Off resistance, unique typing, recovery, and ability to ignore much of the type chart, I feel it's already got a good head start.

There was definitely room to go faster but I didn't see it as worthwhile. Base 120/119 would let you outpace Cawm, but tbf this is not the time nor place to give ourselves an answer to what I consider a conceptually poorly-designed mon.

I do want to work on this a bit more as I think there are ways to make the spread bulkier while preserving losing matchups against our offensive checks. It is past midnight where I am and I have many things I need to do tomorrow, so that will have to wait.

115 HP / 106 ATK / 60 DEF / 54 SPATK / 90 SPDEF / 115 SPEED

BST: 540

PS: 119.66
SS: 74.20
PT: 80.77
ST: 113.69
BSR: 548.23

Defining Moves: Brave Bird, Coil, Roost, Gunk Shot, Rapid Spin, Thunder Wave

A spread designed to not be able to come in often thanks to its SR weakness, but is dangerous if given the opportunity. It's also somewhat weak compared to other spreads, in order to balance its access to utility. High HP stat decreases Brave Bird recoil substantially, as to not wear down 30i too quickly.

Heatran is always OHKOd by a +2 Brave Bird at max attack investment.
(+2 252 Atk Sharp Beak Tinted Lens Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 388-456 (100.5 - 118.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO)
Kartanta is always OHKOd by a +1 Brave Bird after rocks at max attack investment.
(+1 252 Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kartana: 243-286 (93.8 - 110.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock)
Brave Bird will never OHKO Tapu Koko at max attack investment.
(252 Atk Sharp Beak Tinted Lens Crobat Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tapu Koko: 234-276 (83.2 - 98.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO)
Brave Bird will never OHKO Zeraora at max attack investment.
(252 Atk Sharp Beak Tinted Lens Crobat Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zeraora: 258-306 (81.3 - 96.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO)

+1/Banded Weavile always OHKOs 30i with Ice Shard after rocks
(252 Atk Choice Band Weavile Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 282-332 (76 - 89.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock)
Zeraora always OHKOs 30i running max HP
(252 Atk Zeraora Plasma Fists vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 444-524 (102.3 - 120.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO)
2 hits from Weavile's Triple Axel always OHKOs 30i after rocks (Ice Shard represents first hit, Icicle Crash is the second)
(252 Atk Weavile Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 96-114 (25.8 - 30.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO)
(252 Atk Weavile Icicle Crash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 188-224 (50.6 - 60.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO)
Victini's V-Create nearly always OHKOs 30i, and always will considering Brave Bird recoil
(252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 370-436 (99.7 - 117.5%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO)

Specs Dragapult's Draco Meteor always OHKOs 30i after rocks
(252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 289-342 (77.8 - 92.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock)
Tapu Lele's Psychic always OHKOs 30i
(252 SpA Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat in Psychic Terrain: 420-494 (113.2 - 133.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO)
Nevermelt Ice Kyurem's Freeze-Dry always OHKOs max HP 30i after rocks
(252+ SpA Never-Melt Ice Kyurem Freeze-Dry vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 330-390 (76 - 89.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock)
Tapu Koko always OHKOs max HP 30i after rocks
(252 SpA Tapu Koko Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Crobat in Electric Terrain: 338-398 (77.8 - 91.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock)

Always outspeeds Chromera, Victini, Volcarona, Zapdos-Galar, Urshifu, and Jumbao with max speed and a neutral nature
Always outspeeds Astrolotl, Adamant Weavile, Alolan Ninetales, and Kartana
Never outspeeds Syclant

I am here to give some mid-week but also weekend feedback! I like what you all have submitted so far, but since we already have a set BST, some of the spreads are gonna have similar traits so I will be grouping them together to avoid repeating myself when giving feedback. Keep in mind, this feedback isn't negative, it's my impressions of the spreads.

Fast&strong, moderate bulk

Snake_rattler: 85 HP / 110 Atk / 85 Def / 55 SpA / 85 SpD / 120 Spe
Tommaniacal: 115 HP / 120 Atk / 58 Def / 63 SpA / 65 SpD / 119 Spe
starfalcon555: 75 HP / 115 Atk / 90 Def / 50 SpA / 90 SpD / 120 Spe
DaPizza Man: 85 HP / 106 Atk / 106 Def / 60 SpA / 64 SpD / 119 Spe

As the subtitle suggests, all of these spreads are fast and strong with moderate bulk. I chose to group them together because they come super close (or hit) to the Speed stat limit. Tommaniacal is more geared towards reducing the impact of Brave Bird recoil and goes for higher Attack. Da Pizza Man has put more emphasis on Defense but we don't yet know what he wishes to do with this specific stat. I'd argue that differentiating between these spreads is quite hard, so I'd like to see some reasoning provided.

Glass cannons

dex: 85 HP / 122 Atk / 72 Def / 65 SpA / 86 SpD / 110 Spe
explosion badger: 85 HP / 126 Atk / 73 Def / 72 SpA / 80 SpD / 104 Spe

These two spreads go all in on Attack and have formidable Speed stats, but their defenses leave a bit to be desired. Now, this seems to be out of choice-and that's perfectly fine. I do think these two are, again, way too similar with Explosion badger looking at both neutral and speed boosting nature, while Dex aims to outspeed Adamant Weavile and max Speed Alola-tales. I do want to see if you can make one of the defensive stats be lower so as to fully embrace the glass cannon route or if keeping it as fits your creative vision; telling the two apart is difficult as they currently stand, though.

Speedy, strong and bulky

quziel: 85 HP / 106 ATK / 80 DEF / 53 SPATK / 104 SPDEF / 112 SPEED
Binacleisthebest: 115 HP / 106 ATK / 60 DEF / 54 SPATK / 90 SPDEF / 115 SPEED

If I'm being honest, these two spreads are perfectly fine. The problem is that their numbers are actually WAY too close to one another. Quziel has gone for more Special Defense and some respectable Defense, while BinPin is focusing on HP and has a lower Defense stat. The key difference is that quziel wishes to utilize Coil while BinPin's spread has Swords Dance listed. Is that enough to tell the two apart? Not really.

85 HP / 127 Atk / 79 Def / 68 SpA / 83 SpD / 98 Spe

This spread is very close to Miasmaw, having an awkward Speed tier and a very high Attack stat. The defenses are what I would describe as "fine" but nothing stands out about this spread. I'd like to see a clearer direction with it as any stat besides Attack feels middle of the pack right now.

30b re-arranged

ultramafia: 85 HP / 118 Atk / 64 Def / 70 SpA / 90 SpD / 113 Spe
MrDollSteak: 85 HP / 113 ATK / 70 DEF / 64 SPA / 90 SPD / 118 SPE

Both of these spreads feel like they were built with flavor aspects in mind first, then tried to find an identity through re-arranging the base stats. MrDollSteak comes closer to what other spreads look like with his spread speed tying Cawmodore which isn't exactly something we're after. I'm also scared it might warp future voting patterns. While 30b's spread seemed fine, simply changing the order doesn't cut it in my humble opinion.

85 HP / 121 Atk / 111 Def / 70 SpA / 50 SpD / 103 Spe

Estronic has very clearly tried to use Coil and Body Press, having above average Speed and solid Defense with our Special Defense being a clear weak point. I do like the stats submitted and I don't feel that it's breaking the bank when it comes to power nor bulk as it has clear upsides and downsides. I am a bit worried that the vision of Body Press being used won't come to fruition but I can't say I would change up any statlines.

Low BSR

1blulizard: 85 HP /110 Atk / 95 Def / 65 SpA / 70 SpD / 115 Spe
shnowshner: 85 HP / 111 ATK / 91 DEF / 71 SPA / 71 SPD / 111 SPE

The BSR for these two is extremely low, which one might not expect when looking at the stats. However, they're both quite a bit underwhelming; they're not excellent in Speed, they're not the strongest attackers and their defenses are just kind of OK, with physical Defense being higher on both spreads. Without some super strong justification through calcs, they won't stand out too much. Maybe pick a stat and focus down on it - whether it's even higher Attack or better bulk on one of the two sides.

85 HP / 135 Atk / 68 Def / 60 SpA / 112 SpD / 80 Spe

Amamama has gone for a significantly slower spread when compared to (almost) everything else submitted. This has given them the opportunity to have an even higher Attack stat, and some bulk to boot. I am a bit concerned that 112 SpD / 80 Spe puts our eggs on one of the two baskets a bit awkwardly; I'd like to see some points from SpD allocated to Speed- going for even MORE Attack might make slower teams have an awful time dealing with this 30i.

85 HP / 81 Atk / 101 Def / 116 SpA / 88 SpD / 69 Spe

Zephyri's the only Special spread in the whole thread and I applaud the effort. However, I do think this is extremely similar in stats to how 30b looks (85/70/113/118/90/64) with lower bulk and just a bit more SpA. Going for novelty isn't necessary-no need to re-invent the wheel.

85 HP / 135 ATK / 66 DEF / 72 SPA / 95 SPD / 92 SPE

This spread is first off, above the allocated BST. Yep, not BSR, the BST. As such it'd normally be immediately disqualified. This warning post should be enough to fix the spread, and my suggestion would be to maybe swap the Def and SpA numbers (and of course lower SpA, then!). Not a bad spread, close to Amamama's purpose but with "middling Speed" being the key phrase here.

This should also serve as your 48h notice before the preliminary slate goes up! If you haven't finalized your spread by then, it won't be considered! So, you've been warned!

Despite the higher HP, my spread is actually less bulky than the other's (with the exception of Pizza's special bulk). Unless it's a resisted hit or a non-stab neutral attack, most moves are going to 2HKO. This is done to balance the higher offensive potential. The extra attack offers more OHKOs and 2HKOs, but has more trouble coming in with its poorer bulk. Besides the speed stat, I'd argue that my spread's other stats are different enough to be considered unique.

Thanks for the feedback!

85 HP / 117 ATK / 71 DEF / 60 SPA / 93 SPD / 114 SPE

PS: 129.74
SS: 79.6
PT: 77.23
ST: 98.18
BSR: 548.13
Defining Moves:
Coil, Brave Bird, Drill Peck, Gunk Shot, Recover

Defensive stats:
85 HP because it looks nice, easy to work with, + matches 30b. 71 Defense lets us always live Zeraora's Plasma Fists at +1 so that it can never revenge kill us from full if we have at least one Coil boost. 93 SpD Does not hit any intentional benchmark, but if sticking with 60 SpA, the SpD stat then brings me to a nice round BST and comes close to maximizing BSR.

Offensive stats:
117 Atk always OHKOs Kartana at +2 with BB. 60 SpA is my dump. 114 Spe ties with Astrolotl, which really means we outspeed it because Astro is never running full speed.

This spread is very similar to some other spreads such as dex's but I think certain small differences eg attack and speed give it its own identity. Going into this spread, I highly valued boosting moves while still being able to put out respectable power unboosted, as well as a decent-good speed tier to force out key offensive threats.

hi three speed tiers i felt like would be worth posting about since there are a fair number of spreads hovering around the 110-118 range

111 Speed means you can outspeed 252+ Jumbao with 252 Adamant 30i
115 Speed means you can outspeed 252+ base 100s with 252 Adamant 30i
117 Speed means you tie with 252+ Garchomp with 252 Adamant 30i

food for thought when running calcs and considerations for +Attack natures instead of +Speed natures
