Here's my idea:

105/80/100/45/100/116

541 BST

Overal rating is 364, very good with bias to defense and physical attacking.

I made it up in five minutes, but I don't think it's too bad.
 
There is one reason I don't like that spread: It intentionally outspeeds base 115s. If you made it base 114, it would be fine, or even base 115.

I was thinking along the lines of Garchomp with its 102 speed that makes it able to outspeed everything without having to divert too many BP to the stat. But I guess having 115 speed would be completely fine.

Overall, 535 BST places it around Lapras, Magnezone, and Swampert.
I made the bias towards physical because ground types typically have higher Attack/Defense than they do Special Attack/Special Defense.
And I'm just making the assumption that it will be ground.

HP is 85, equal to that of Hypno
Defense is 105, equal to that of Miltank
Special Defense is 95, equal to that of Lickilicky

I liked the idea of decent speed, so I opted to fall around 105, where Mismagius is located.

I didn't spend the most time with this, so it's not ideal. I'm unsure how I would want to change this, though.
 
Hmmm, what about:
105/55/95/85/90/115

BST= 545, same as Togekiss (I believe)
Speedy, as fast a Starmie.
Can create 101 subs.
More power than weak "utilities" like Umbreon and Claydol, but not as strong as some sort of "sweeper" like Starmie.
Slightly bulkier than Swampert.
I can't get the stat rater to come up on this computer so I'll do that later.
I put a little more defense than Special Defense because it's likely that it will be Ground but I doubt that matters.
 
Oi, realized something, even though alot of people want a fast pokemon, didn't we also want something that can make effective use of trick room?

So I propose a pokemon that's fairly fast, but with a negative speed nature, and no IV's etc. would be fairly slow, I suggest 108 base speed then, achieving a maximum of 346, and a minimum of 189
 
That's outsped on a trick room team by lots of Pokemon without even trying.
Snorlax for one.
I think Rhyperior can also outspeed.
That speed is way to high.
If you want Trick Room speed, try base 25.
That can sure sweep.
 
Why does a Pokemon have to be slow to effectively use Trick Room ?_?

I used Trick Room Azelf before, and it was very effective. There is no reason to limit yourself to accepted stereotypes that aren't even necessarily true.

Good point.
I wasn't serious in suggesting this to be a slow Pokemon.
I want it to be FASTFASTFAST.
As made obvious by my spread.
115 is viable.

Speed aids utility.
Would you rather this thing die to Garchomp, or outspeed and get at least one thing done?
That's how I see it.
Speed is used for everything.
That's why it's so important in the Uber Tier, even for walls like Lugia.
 
Interestingly, most, if not all, stat spreads that have been posted are balanced.

So you know what to vote for later on in the base stat spread polls. :)
 
I kinda tossed in 150/65/85/50/70/111, which brings it to 536 BST.

That sets it as:

Physical Sweepiness: 102 (Rank 0: Average)
Physical Tankiness: 163 (Rank 5: Extremely Good)
Special Sweepiness: 81 (Rank -2: Moderately Bad)
Special Sweepiness 140 (Rank 3: Good)
Offense/Defense Balance: -25.7 (Bias to Defense)
Physical/Special Balance: 21.5 (Moderate Bias to Physical)
Overall Rating: 333


But that's just me. I kinda think that we could use some more high HP, moderate defenses since we have Dusknoir as the premier, "high defense, low HP" and Bronzong fits that well too.

Sorry if I sound kinda rude for just popping in and saying random stuff >__>
 
i don't think 600 bst this time around is too unbelievable. we've avoided it in the past because we've had fantastic type combos with incredible offensive/defensive potential.

poison/dragon and poison/ground is average on both of those counts. and it's not meant to be a tank, or a sweeper. it's meant for utility. so bst of 600 focusing on defense sounds fine to me....
 
So far I like GT's spread best. It's got a good mix of defense and speed, plus enough attack/sp atk to pose a decent-sized threat, and it looks like a natural distribution. I dunno if we're going to end up with a 580 BST though so it'll probably have to be toned down a bit.

BTS is completly irrelivant when we have BSR. There isn't even a poll to determine a BST. Nowerdays we use BSR soley to determine overall power. See the CAP Process guide for more info.

Please do not talk about giving this Pokemon a certain BST.

I'm sticking with my low HP concept. The problem with a fast, bulky Pokemon is when you come to EV it in practice. What do you do? If you max out Speed, defenses and attack would suffer. By having a low HP stat, the defenses will increase much more when investing 252 EVs in HP. You'd need more EVs to get to the same level of defenses with a more balanced defensive stat spread.

Poison/Ground that stat can really pull off since it has immunity to Thunder Wave, plus good defense.

This is my first time making a stat for a Pokemon but that was my ideas.

100 HP can work with subs and helps with taking hits.
75 Att because it's not meant to be hitting things and helps with STAB Earthquake and other common Poison Moves
90 Def/Sp.Def because it helps a lot with taking some hits.
50 Sp.Att because it's not meant to be an attacker and the better STAB moves are better on the physical side.
140 Spd so it can abuse moves like Gravity and Encore

BST: 545. Not every high and not low. Equal to Pokemon like Togekiss. More then Gyarados but less then Arcanine and the legendary trios.

I reckon it's OK for a first timer.
 
Obviously I have no real authority here, and I'm not well know as a CaP player, but I don't think that any spread that beats both Swampert's defenses and Starmie's speed will be a reasonable choice. This thing will likely destroy other utility pokes already, and with huge speed he will be able to destroy the fast, frail sweepers as well by hitting them with status or setting up a screen or encoring them.

As someone who has spent a decent amount of time playing with the CaP pokes, I have a problem with making them "too good," as I have mentioned in my previous posts. Revenankh (and to a lesser extent Syclant) was created without enough consideration of his power, and I would not like to see that happen again here. Huge speed and defenses make him way too useful in too many situations on too many teams, and I don't think a universally usable pokemon is in our best interest.

Once again, I don't think that 120+ speed and 100/90/90 defenses will be reasonable with the presumably fantastic movepool this guy will be getting.
 
TAY, it depends if it will get many damage-dealing moves or not. I hope it won't get any damage-dealing moves besides the STAB ones.
 
Even without good attacks, Swampert-level defenses with high speed and a good support movepool will make it unnecessarily difficult to take down. I really don't want our new poke to play like Cresselia.

Thats what everyone hates about Garchomp, the ability to outspeed base 100 pokemon at will.

You mean Infernape's base speed? I prefer 109, it outspeeds Nape and can still do whatever you want it to, while still being cripled by the fact that base 110s outspeed it.
