Bottom right ftw. Ghost/Steel Glalie, anyone?

Here's the sketch of my work in progress design.

*Doug's Huge Pic Here*

Obviously I'm going for a combination of a robotic look with a skeletal look. I'm also trying to keep the "badass-ness" to a minimum. I want this to have a certain element of cuteness to it -- since so few of my CAP designs have that quality. My favorite part of this design is the head, so I don't plan to change it much. I'm open to suggestions for the rest of it. The "pipe-like" limbs and the circular joints are reminiscent of Fidgit, and I knew that going in. However, many people comment that Fidgit looks like a Steel-type, so perhaps this is a good thing.

I like this one A LOT.

It somewhat resembles Fidget? (CANT THINK OF THE NAME). Well, whatever your sprite is xD, bye the arms kind of.

I think it has a ton of potential

A lot of nice pics up in here. I'm really not sure I have a favorite, but I do like a lot of them :D

Kopie, Wyv and Douglas are the best so far. I was just talking about how I was gonna have more words per post than doug did, and then I go and see his post about the drawing. Definitely not gonna happen. :(

The upper left design is, as I've mentioned, a mecha fog ghost. Its spirit is held within the suit, and the spirit leaks out of various places. It also has an antenna on its dome of a head.
From you I prefer this guy and your banshee. Fog ghost sorta have this undead scuba diver vibe to it (blame Scooby Doo for this sudden connection). The only thing wrong with him is it's heavy appearance. While I don't give a damn about appearance = stat I felt that it could be somewhat slimmer or more nimble looking. I hope you understand.

Ive changed my Vote to Cyzirvisheen's first submission it looks extremely ghostly, but i think after it gets colored if its silver / purple it could look more like steel as well.

This one's kind of like a generic security drone thingy. It also has a mysterious paranormal ring around it. Those silver things are meant to be pincers (all I've got is MsPaint and a laptop).

Alright, I edited the robot a bit, removing the antennae and giving it a more ghost-like appearance by making its head levitate, with fog coming out of the brim of the body. I also changed the 'plug' arms to more mechanized ones.

Well, here are three rough sketches... Though it's really late, I was hoping that we'd have CAP7 not so big and maybe as small as Jirachi or Roserade. Please take the time to go and click on the links. What do you all think of them?

For the first one, I was thinking about a rogue assasin. with a shadowy cloak. Ghost enough IMO. Then, I thought about how to make it steel type. So then, I came up with the idea to make it's cloak silvery at the end and be able to manipulate itself into a weapon, or fire needles as seen in the pictures.

For the little tubby guy, I thought about having a little round guy like gengar. I also made him look more like a knight (a fat one too).

And now the last one, Lil' Diablo. He's personally my favorite out of all the three. I've been designing him for quite a while. Even though he might not fit the ghost/steel typing, he still looks badass IMO.

And so yeah. These 3 are my three and I need help to decide which one I should enter & make look good. Please comment on these guys. :)

NOTE: These were all mean't to be the size of about an Azelf or Pikachu or somewhere around that size.

Srry for crappy quality too, I was in a rush.

And once again, comments will be VERY appreciated. ^^

Hey, it was clearly titled as "A Bedtime Story". Bedtime stories are supposed to put people to sleep. What better way to put people to sleep, than a nice long wall of text?

I like the changes, you're pretty much there dude.

I am infinitely more confident about this second design. My main inspiration was the Vassagos enemies from Castlevania Curse of Darkness.

EDIT: Here's a pic of a Vassago:

Well, that's my image. It's the bear trapper pokemon. Feel free to give advice/criticism. If anyone expresses interest, I will happily add supplementary material.

Alternate Design

EDIT: Interesting how none of the official ghost pokemon have chains. Man those things are pretty ghostly!

hmm, is there perhaps anything specific you don't like? perhaps the lose the clock hands on the chest and neck to de-clutter it a bit?

ah yeah, the Dark comparisons...I dunno, most Ghost Pokemon look like they could be Darks too, and besides Gastly, they tend to have pretty solid forms. Oh well, it's starting to look like I'll have to scrap this design anyway. I kind of liked it, but we're not in the business of pleasing ourselves!
Actually, you shouldn't scrap it. at closer view it, i can understand it, but before i couldn't regonize it at a glance. just stick with the design.

I have been waiting a long time to do a ghost/steel pokemon. My original motivation was the robot called Archetype from Big O. It was a mecha hidden underground for years until given malevolent animus.

The idea I wanted to create was a machine or collection of machine parts animated by a beligerant spirit.

"This CAP project is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it. I know you were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen."

The actual concept for this picture comes from combining HAL with the Nightwalker art from D&D 3.5. I'm wondering if I should remove the the head and left shoulder entirely and put the satelite dish there in their place (the eye would go elsewhere on the body). I also haven't decided on a color scheme aside from the red and yellow for the eye.

So, CAP community, what are your thoughts?

Personally, I think the satellite dish looks really random and out of place. I'd consider scrapping that element.

Also, perhaps you'd want to distort the proportions a bit more. This passes off way too humanoid even by pokemon's standards. Shortening up the legs a bit might help alleviate this.

I'm not quite sure what's going on with the metal claw thing there, but perhaps making it a bit larger and putting one on the other arm too would look better.

There are alot of good designs this time around, I'd be happy with alot of them but my current favorites are KoA, Cartoons, and Caladborg.

It's a good try actually. I agree with KoA the satellite looks out of place. maybe placing it on the head to make it look like one of them anime hats. It really looks like a fighting/dark type, in general it looks like an assasin. It still looks great though.
