I still think that it's artwork could become any shape, thus fitting any stat distribution.
Alright dude, no need to criticize like this, they were all good submissions. I voted for CyzirVisheen again, because the appearance of a ground narwhal is just mind-boggling. Honestly, the concept of a Pokemon has advanced so much. This was a very creative submission. All of these were awesome, I liked the moves that Mysteriousfellows submission used. This makes my second place. I didn't really like DougJustDoug's from the beginning, but it is still a really good concept of a dark ground pokemon, seriously, a badass looking buffalo, that is awesome. I really liked these. ;]I voted for CyzirVisheen. The thing looks bad ass and it knows it, with its battle wounds, bare teeth, cool-looking horn etc. Looks like a pretty 'evil' kinda guy and hes in the ground so he it fits the dark/ground typing. The gritty appearance really rounds things off to me, giving it a rugged and bulky appearance which really applies to the stat distribution well.
DougJustDoug's sprite is well done but it kinda looks too unfurled and not-bad ass too be a dark pokemon.
As for Mysteriousfellow - I don't really get his. It looks like shit covered in wood chips erupting out of a hole in the ground. Note: I don't mean that the picture looks like shit in that sense; this isn't an attack or anything. It just literally looks like a large pile of crap
The only thing that might be difficult to flavor is Auto-Magic Coat, but we can think of something.
Either that, or it's Nose-Ring could have mystic powers.Though I voted for Cyzir's design, my thought on AMC for Doug's buffalo is that it could have something to do with it's being tribal. Perhaps some sort of tribal magic infused into its mask-like markings on its face or even the pattern on its back.
I know I didn't vote for Mysteriousfellow's design, but I don't understand the "it doesn't look Dark/Ground" and "it looks like a Ghost" arguments. A pokemon can only have two types. The fact that it's made of/lives in sand establishes the Ground type and the fact that it looks like it wants to rip your head off and eat it establishes the Dark type. Saying that "it looks too Ghost-like" is like saying "Flygon looks too Flying-like to be Ground/Dragon" or "Charizard looks too Dragon-like to be Fire/Flying". All that this design's non-solid appearance means is that it should get a few Ghost-type flavor moves if it wins.
But friendo, the fact that it doesn't look exactly Dark/ground sure helps people decide between the 3, eh?
