As an NU player primarily, I shall be commenting on NU.
However, I have not played NU recently, due to things ect. I will also be waiting for the changes to be added to the server.
Still, onto the stats:
Leads:
Pinser is Number 1, and it makes sence with the trends in OU. It's one of the fastest users of Rocks, and is usually capable of dealing some damage.
Solrock at number 2. I think I might have popularised that back at the start of Nu, with my Sunny Day and rocks set. Solrock is bulky enough, and somewhat fast for an NU lead, to set up not only Rocks, but also a support move, such as Trick Room or Sunny Day. It also has a tendancy to be able to come back in and do it all again. Then explode.
What dissapoints me is Floatzel... only 10 uses as a lead... I think all ten of them are me. I expect that to EXPLODE once Charizard is added to the ladder. Stopping rocks done by nothing better than Floatzel in NU. Outspeeds all rock users, dosen't fear anything from common SR users, and hits quite a few for SE. Combined with Aqua Jet to mess with Persian, and a high base attack, and Flotzel is good in general, let alone as a lead.
At the Top End:
Aggron is number 1. No shoker there, considering it can single-handedly destroy any NU team lacking boosted Mach Punches, if it gets 1 turn of set-up. However, thank goodness we are spared the potentual suspect test, because Aggron's clearing out. When Aggron is used on average, on one side every battle, when Head Smash was only on for two weeks, AKA, half the test period, that implies that almost everyone was running around with Aggron. Overcentralisation much?
Sharpedo at number 2 is for one reason. Aggron. Sharpedo is a 'decent' Aggron counter, being able to OHKO it, and deal damage back with Rough Skin, should it face a Rock Polish set.
Medicham is Scizor of NU. Dosen't help that it's attack with a Choice Band hits about 1.5 times that of Scizor's making up for Technician. Thank god it's not Steel typed, or even has Mach Punch.
Other
Victreebel's BELOW Vileplume? Unprepared teams can be annihaled by the SD set. Vileplume does nothing.
Predictions
Sharpedo useage will remain high, to check Charizard and Magmortar, as well as Nidoqueen. Octillery, and possibly Solrock useage will rise, with Porygon2 coming in to save Trick Room. Solrock, Octillery, 'Tour, P2, Marowak + Gardevoir, anyone? Sounds like a solid Trick Room team.
Charizard will rocket to the heights of NU. It will also remain there. Dragon Dance, Swords Dance, Belly Drum, Mixed, CB, CSpecs, CScarf, all are viable. Charizard will be less predictable than Salamance.
At least Gastrodon and Quagsire will prove decent checks... but Swords Dance and Belly Drum sets will win, I think...
Nidoqueen leads! More easy kills for Floatzel...
Medicham will keep rising. Fake Outs with 800+ attack = Bellyzard counter.
Magmortar will be high in useage as well. We finally have a wallbreaker with decent speed (Octillery, looking at you), and a varied movepool (Victreebel, Sharpedo, Cacturne)
