Heatran, Heatran, we need you ! (Bulkarona Grassy Terrain Hyper Offense, top 10 ladder after sacrificing lots of score to try Raichu X)
:Rillaboom: :Volcarona: :Glimmora: :Hatterene: :Absol_Mega_Z: :Mamoswine:

https://pokepast.es/f151c1b4992eb468

Although ppl spam Sneasler plus random Megas a lot in these kind of structures, I realized the true Giga Threat has always been existed in team building: The Sun Moth himself. With Seed and bulk investment, Volcarona owns Tank Chomp, Aegislash, Volcarona, Toxapex and even more. It can even eat +2 Aqua Jet from Golisopod or an H-rott‘s Razor Shell. Truly catastrophic.

:floette-mega::hippowdon::samurott-hisui::corviknight::slowking-galar::dragapult:
https://pokepast.es/be9c267fc4999cff

This is a Mega Floette team with a few adaptations for the new M-C meta. The differences with the old Mega Floette sample being the addition of Rocky Helmet, replacing Garchomp with the slightly more optimal Hippwdon, and Dragapult over Blaziken for the better Mega Golisopod matchup. Mega Absol is not an easy matchup, though with Rocks+Spikes+Sandstorm+Helmet chip+Aqua Jet+Hippo can tank a hit, it's manageable.

Incredibly effective offense with 4 attacks Mawile and revival Pawmot. Peaked number 2 last week and was also the team I used to achieve reqs. Very easy to use thanks to the amazing DD Dragonite and Scarf Primarina and very forgiving thanks to Revival Blessing Pawmot.

Pawmot can be, alternatively, :life orb: or :leppa berry: to either boost its individual breaking power or get greedy with your revivals, but :air balloon: is simply too consistent and very useful for this.. quite ground-weak team.

Edit: I didn't really expect to peak with this team so I don't have many replays--here are a couple from my suspect run lol

Magic Sun of the current Era (top 10 ladder)

- Clefable Mega is a fantastic glue mon for Sun team thx to its unique defensive profile, owning common Hazard Setter and Attackers such as Garchomp, Hippowdon and Samurott Hisui. Flamethrower destroys every Golisopod and Corviknight which is big deal.

- Offensive Cinderace with Charcoal is hella busted in the current metagame, with only few switch ins such as Healthy Hippowdon and Toxapex. Court Change is a nice boon to have.

Perfect Cherry Blossom (Empoleon Roar + Floette, #2 ladder)
:Empoleon: :Garchomp: :Rillaboom: :Sneasler: :Floette_Mega: :Aegislash:
https://pokepast.es/0df2850b99ed1412

The aim is to provide crucial chip damage so Sneasler + Floette could overwhelm the opponents. Empoleon has nasty defensive profile against Primarina and Floette, allow it to Roar almost effortlessly. It also act as Defog Punisher thx to Competitive.

Shoutout to Magcargo for this awesome idea.

Returned the old Delphox team to top ladder. Edited sets slightly to improve weak matchups and to deal with new and since-emerged threats. Final laddering tally is 42 wins and 4 losses.

Pretty solid for a 2 month old team, eh?

Peak #1, 1759 ELO, 82.9% GXE - Big Pod Offense

image_2026-10-01_134846201.png

Made an alt for suspect reqs and decided to take it as far as possible. Pod is absolutely broken when not facing its counters which it almost never sees anyway because of how popular Big 4 is. Although it can be stopped in its tracked by Encore Hamurrot if you get the turn wrong.

Team breakdown:

FOREVER BALLIN (Golisopod-Mega) @ Golisopite
Ability: Tough Claws
Level: 50
EVs: 32 HP / 31 Atk / 3 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head/Taunt/Close Combat
- Leech Life
- Aqua Jet

Broken sweeper that tanks most hits and powers through almost the entire tier after setting up. Aqua jet for priority, Leech Life for longevity, last slot may be CC to easily take down :Corviknight:, Iron Head for fairies or lucky flinches, Taunt is specifically for beating other :Golisopod-Mega:. In matches where :Golisopod-Mega: seems useless, it still can be used as an emergency Eject button in a pinch in order to safely bring in :Blaziken:. The minor speed investment is there to outspeed other :Golisopod-Mega: and better your odds of winning 1v1s.

:Glimmora:
Crack Dreams (Glimmora) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Toxic Debris
Level: 50
EVs: 2 Def / 32 SpA / 32 Spe
Timid Nature
- Mud Shot
- Power Gem
- Stealth Rock
- Mortal Spin

Standard lead Glimmora with Mud Shot to beat other lead Glimmoras 1v1. Mud Shot also has some utility outside of that one matchup as it allows for your slower team members to outspeed things that they normally are unable to.

:Hatterene:
Slitherman 4 Prez (Hatterene) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Magic Bounce
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 32 HP / 32 Def / 2 SpD
Bold Nature
- Healing Wish
- Mystical Fire
- Psychic Noise/Pain Split
- Draining Kiss

Physdef Hatt being the absolute GOAT in all my teams due to the prevalence of Garchomp and Hamurrot wanted to get up hazards everywhere. Its bulk also allows for it to tank Dire Claw from +0 Sneasler and beat Dragonite 1v1 almost every time. Pain Split can also be an option in order to get off as much damage as possible but in my experience, denying Roost and Recover is almost always better. Most important move on the set is Healing Wish as it allows for incredibly reckless play with either Blaziken or Golisopod, essentially giving you 2 of them. Many matches have been won off of wishing Golisopod back to full in the lategame once all its checks are dead or chipped.

:Blaziken:
Top Fire (Blaziken) @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 32 Atk / 32 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Protect

強力なカバー力 LIFE ORB FLARE BLITZ すべてを破壊する IMMINENT DESTRUCTION 常に攻撃せよ中性レジスト消滅

:Aegislash-Blade:
Slither Conspiracy (Aegislash) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Stance Change
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 32 HP / 4 Atk / 6 Def / 24 SpA
Quiet Nature
- King's Shield
- Close Combat/Flash Cannon/Iron Head
- Shadow Sneak
- Shadow Ball

Designated spinblocker able to make great progress spamming Shadow Ball into the enemy team. I generally run Iron Head for Sneasler in Psy Terrain but Close Combat is a very good option to catch Dark types like Gambit and Hamurott on the switch. The Air Balloon usually allows for a free one time switch into Excadrill and Garchomp's Earthquakes from which you may then double out or click Shadow Ball.

:Samurott-Hisui:
Till I'm Dead (Samurott-Hisui) @ Black Glasses
Ability: Sharpness
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 32 Atk / 2 Def / 32 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Taunt
- Sacred Sword
- Ceaseless Edge
- Aqua Jet

You just click Ceaseless edge regardless of what's in front of you. Taunt is for preventing defog and healing. Encore can be used over Taunt but is generally just worse on this specific team.

Additional Info:

The team runs 3 unconditional priority moves on account of the fact that it sorely lacks speed outside of boosted :Blaziken:, a runaway :Volcarona:,: Sneasler:, or :Charizard-mega-y: will 6-0.

Bad Matchups:

Stall as a whole can simply ignore any setup attempt and PP stall the team, very hard matchup to win unless :Blaziken: is able to break through without dying.

Rain out offenses this team, nothing is able to safely switch in so the match comes down to getting every single turn right and praying they waste their :Archaludon:

:Scovillain-Mega: - :Blaziken: needs to be conserved specifically for this guy which heavily limits its breaking potential. Everyone else gets burnt.

:Skeledirge: - Able to stop a :Golisopod: Sweep and comfortably kill it. Hazards need to be kept up against this.

:Clefable-Mega: - Beats the entire team if :Blaziken: and :Glimmora: are low or dead

:Dragapult: - Able to beat the entire team 1v1 except for :Aegislash:, you need to scout for its set and then somehow bring in :Aegislash:

:Raichu-Mega-Y: - Unless already put in range of priority, it will either cripple or kill something on every switch in, match is lost outright if you get full para'd.

:Meganium-Mega: - Soundly beats Golisopod 1v1 and nobody is able to switch into it

:Cinderace: - Hard to switch into and makes it difficult to stack hazards

How to play:

Repeat these affirmations: I cannot be guarded, I will get every turn right, I will not miss Ceaseless Edge

Replays:

I'll be using replays from both my accounts because it's hard to find good ones

Vs Veil Offense

I had a lot of success with this team recently, beeing in the top 10 with 2 different accounts quite consistently, despite really not being that good of a player

:Floette-Mega: :Pawmot: :Samurott-Hisui: :garchomp: :Slowking-galar: :Corviknight:
https://pokepast.es/11786f87f771992e

I think it makes a great sample team, as it is quite consistent and doesn't rely on a singular broken Piece, or some kind of MU fishing. Just good mons in the format synergising with each other and giving you all the tools you need.

:Pawmot:
The idea behind this team started with me realizing that most mons that feel broken in theory get held in check by Garchomp, which is on every second team and outputs a huge amount of pressure once it's on the field, also getting rocks up reliably. Pawmot got my attention for exactly this reason: It's an incredibly strong breaker that just destroys chomp and kind of dunks on B4 and other common mons in the Meta.

Pawmot @ Life Orb
Ability: Iron Fist
Level: 50
EVs: 32 Atk / 2 Def / 32 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Double Shock
- Close Combat
- Ice Punch
- Mach Punch

Doubleshock is just a Nuke. Icepunch is crucial to hit the ground, dragon and grass types that resist Double shock, also allowing you to 1HKO most chomps and even Tankchomp after any hazard damage. Mach Punch is crucial to finish low HP targets and having strong priority is just very useful in general, especially against sucker punch users which would otherwise KO it after enough LOrb and Helmet chip.
In the last slot I use Close Combat, to not be too passive after Double Shock and 1HKO both Archaludon and Exca, who would otherwise be an issue. It's helpful to 2HKO mons that can stomach a Doubleshock as well, like Rotom, opening up middle ground plays and preserving your Doubleshock. I experimented with Revival Blessing, because I like the idea of reviving Floette so it can suicide kill a check with Light of Ruin and come back afterwards, but missing CC was not worth it at all.

:Slowking-Galar:
After settling for Pawmot, I knew I needed a slow pivot due to how frail Pawmot is and Glowking is perfect for that. Having a grounded poison is also needed to not loose to toxic spikes.

Slowking-Galar @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 50
EVs: 31 HP / 4 Def / 31 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Psyshock
- Future sight
- Chilly Reception

Just a standard Glowking. Psyshock + Colbur gives this team another Sneasler check and Colbur is just useful in general, allowing you to emergency stomach some phsysical attackers without instantly dying to knock, or work as a 1 time check against Hydreigon.
Future sight is needed to break through stall, as some mons like Hippo and Pex are tough to break through for this team without it. I run 4 Def EVs to always live a Pawmot Doubleshock.

Edit: Changed to Sitrus after realizing many Sneaslers now use Shadowclaw instead.
Now that it can't reliably check Sneasler anyway, maybe Eeree Spell is a good alternative to punish Corv's using it to roost on it

:Corviknight:
After adding Glowking, Corv is only natural, giving this team reliable hazard removal and a strong physical wall.

Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Level: 50
EVs: 32 HP / 32 Def / 2 SpD
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Defog
- Roost
- Iron Defense

Standard ID Corv. I run ID instead of U-Turn to not die to Golisopod, also coming in in handy against physical spam teams that lost their special attacker. I started out running bodypress, but having your only attack entire walled by ghosts sucks. This team is also rather Volc weak and being able to deny it from setting up is very important.

:Garchomp:
This entire team started with me realizing how much of a glue Chomp is, of course I use it as well.

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
Level: 50
EVs: 32 HP / 32 Def / 1 SpD / 1 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Stealth Rock
- Flamethrower / Endure

I use a defensive set, because the team already has enough breaking power and Tank chomp is a great emergency check to any physical threat getting out of control. It's also how I handle Absol-Z.
You can choose between Flamethrower and Endure, the first one helping against Pod/M-Scizor and Corv, the latter helping against Absol-Z and Pawmot.
I recommend a bit of speed creep to outrun other tankchomp, given how common it is and that it doesn't need the 2 SpD

:Samurott-Hisui:
The spikes machine. Pawmot needs some kind of hazards to OHKO Glowking and Tankchomp and it's a crucial partner for Floette, while also offering a ghost resist.

Samurott-Hisui @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sharpness
Level: 50
EVs: 32 Atk / 2 SpD / 32 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ceaseless Edge
- Aqua Cutter
- Knock-Off / Sacred sword
- Flip Turn

Standard Scarf set. I previosly ran bulky Swords Dance and it helps to break defensive teams and especially Corv, but lacking speed control really hurt against some MU's like against Delphox Mega. Sacred sword is needed less since I have Pawmot and Mach Punch to force darks out and after switching from a breaker set to scarf, this team would sometimes struggle to break through Corv and keeping hazards up, that's what Knock-Off is for, getting rid of Corvs Lefties to chip it down easier or get rid of Helmet to freely Flip turn on it.
However, if you don't feel like you are struggling against Corv, Sacred Sword allows you to switch it into hard to switch into dark.

:Floette-Mega:
Big 4 often naturally builds itself and after I was done, I still needed a Mega. I picked Mega-Floette for the sole reason of just wanting a powerful special attacker and it does just that. It also gives this team a fairy type, which complements the other types well.

Floette-Mega (F) @ Floettite
Ability: Flower Veil
Level: 50
EVs: 2 HP / 32 SpA / 32 Spe
Timid Nature
- Light of Ruin
- Moonblast
- Draining Kiss
- Calm Mind

When i started using Floette, i was dissapointed by how it just cannot break through it's checks on it's own at all. Floette is *not* the offensive star on this team. What Floette does well is force very certain checks to come in, which you can use as an opportunity to double into Hamu or Pawmot. Therefore don't expect Floette to be the main breaker in most matchups and take advantage of the switches it forces instead.
On teams without a long lasting Floette check, this is where this mon starts to shine, just running away with games.

I ended up running 3 Fairy moves instead of Sub, because imo, all 3 are essential and Sub didn't feel too helpful, since it either just blasts through teams (making Sub reduntant) or gets walled complete (making Sub pointless).
I did not realize how great Light of Ruin was until I used the calc: It 2HKOs many of it's checks like Aegi, PhysDef Corv, Skeledirge, etc. It also outdamages Glowking regenerator healing, meaning with some hazards stacked up, you can actually attempt to break through, even though this shouldn't be your goal.
With LoR chipping it down, Drain Kiss felt even more important to keep it healthy. But just running Drain Kiss and LoR felt really bad, because you need to rely too often on the 90% chance of LoR, therefore all 3 Fairy moves are run.

How do you play?

Try to get your offensive mons in as often as possible and double switch betweenn them when they are hard walled. Against some teams you have a much easier time with hazards up, like against Glowking and Chomp to give Pawmot the 1HKO, so make that a priority if you can't break through otherwise. If Corv tries to defog on your Hamu, knock-off it to get rid of leftovers or rocky helmet. Corv is a total momentum killer, therefore think twice about switching it in: Tank chomp is able to deal with many physical attackers as well without loosing as much momentum. But be careful if there are any physical threats you can't wall, in that case you need to preserve chomp to chip them down attacking into it.

Bad Matchups:

:Volcarona: Volcarona outspeeds everything after a boost. You need to be really careful to not give it a free setup opportunity, like on Pawmot after using Doubleshock. Try your best to get Hazards up. Chomp can dragon tail it once and kill after rocks Damage, Slowking can chip it down with psyshock. At 22%, Pawmot can kill it with Mach punch, your goal is to chip it down as much as possible and deny setup opportunities as best as you can.
Against bulky Volc, this doesn't work, in that case you need to switch into Scarf Hamu as it outspeeds bulky Volc after 1 Quiver.

:Scovillain-Mega: Scov teams with good Hazard control and Glowking for Mega-Floette are really tough to break. Luckiely many Scov teams only have a single defogger, you can switch Corv into the opposing Defog to PP stall defog and let rocks stay against most Scov teams.

:Pawmot: Pawmot on it's own is fine to handle, if you switch between tank chomp and Glowking. However, once any kind of Hazards are up, this thing will get a kill. Try to keep hazards off at all cost and chip it down in range of your own Pawmot Machpunch. Sometimes you have to gamble for the speed tie if the game goes badly.

:Samurott-Hisui:Nearly every mon is grounded and you don't really have a switch in. I deal with it by sending in chomp to setup rocks as well, while also chipping Hamu down in Mach Punch range and Scarf sets can get perma stalled with Corv too. Floette can switch into Ceaseless as well.

:Garchomp:This one isn't a bad matchup, but I want to talk about it anyway. LOrb chomp is near impossible to switch into, therefore you need to be careful to not give it a free switch in. Luckiely this team has a offensive cores that makes it really hard for chomp to get in.

Also, keep Chomp-Z in mind! A surprise Mega on Pawmot cost me many games at first, so take a look at their team and check if they have anything else that wants to Mega first and scout if necessary.
Don't forget Scarf exists as well (same is true for Exca) so you sometimes want to scout that first.

:Aegislash:Mixed Aegi is really hard to switch into. Consider clicking LoR with Floette when it's the obvios switch in, to 2HKO it before it becomes a problem. You can play around it a bt with Corv and CHomp, baiting certain moves to bring Hamu in

:Skeledirge: Skeledirge stops every single mon on this team. Floette can 2HKO it with 2 Light of Ruins (which is yet another reason why this move is so important), but it takes heavy damage in doing so and many Skeledirge teams have a Poison regenerator on it for Floette.
To break through you need hazards, but it's hard to keep them up against many Dirge teams.
If all of that fails, you can double on the Floette check and either set spikes with Hamu, or get Pawmot in, who does more damage than 1 slack-off heals.
After decent chip and/Or Hazards, every offensive mons can break through, but getting there requires caution.

Doing experiment with Mega Altaria (top 10 ladder)

:Altaria_Mega: :Corviknight: :Hippowdon: :Slowking_Galar: :Meowscarada: :Ceruledge:

https://pokepast.es/cb4495dcddc15d2d

Quick summary:
I want to build a team around this peculiar Hoenn mon. Mega Altaria is kinda be outclassed by more powerful Mega Fairy options such as Floette, Gardevoir… but it does possess unique values thanks to the Dragon / Fairy typing and Will o Wisp, allowing it to check several major threats such as Rillaboom, H-Rott, Chomp, Blaziken and Mega Pod with ease. The Speed EVs help both of Altaria & Bulky Ceruledge to outrun Speedy Modest Prim.

Peak #1, 1739 ELO, 84.0% GXE - GodPod Priority Spam

Hello! This is my first post here so sorry if this is the wrong place to post this (I looked in RMT but didn't see Champs OU).

I hit Rank 1 with Mega Golisopod with the highest GXE out of anyone within the top 20 players:
Screenshot 2026-10-03 at 10.08.57 PM.png

This was my first time hitting rank 1 and it was with a team that I built myself! I wanted to share my thoughts on my team and share it for anyone who was interested in using it for themselves. If you end up using this team, please let me know your thoughts, if you enjoy using it, and any fun replays you end up getting!

Thanks to shwilliuhm for helping with testing.

The team: https://pokepast.es/5fe2a394dba7103d

Breakdown:

:sv/golisopod:
Golisopod-Mega @ Golisopite
Ability: Emergency Exit
Level: 50
EVs: 32 HP / 32 Atk / 2 Spe
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Aqua Jet
- Iron Head
- First Impression

First off is the star of the show, Mega Golisopod. Where this team differs from the other rank 1 Golisopod team is how it's used. Instead of the focus being on Pod's bulk and strength as an SD sweeper with leech life for longevity, I thought that Pod's most potent use was as a priority spamming pivot. The power of tough claws boosted STAB FIP cannot be overstated. This move can singlehandedly win you games and can do upwards of 70% to anything that isn't a resist. This is fantastic in endgames vs mons such as :raichu-mega-y:, :meowscarada:, :samurott-hisui:, and :kingambit:. It's also a super hard counter into stuff like :rillaboom:, :raichu-mega-y:, :greninja:, :greninja-mega: and :absol-mega-z:. Even mons with very reasonable bulk such as :metagross-mega: only need slight hazard chip to be put in range of FIP. U-turn is added as a necessary pivoting move to bring in other threats on mons such as :corviknight:, :skeledirge:, and opposing :golisopod-mega:. Aqua Jet is the second form of priority, which can catch mons off guard who are attempting to revenge Pod and do reasonable damage to :cinderace:, :excadrill:, :volcarona:, and more. It's also helpful in the lead matchup vs :glimmora:. Iron Head is a stab option that is helpful to hit mons like :clefable:, :clefable-mega:, and :hatterene:, since Pod often has the bulk to eat a flamethrower and then take a KO in return. I almost always lead pod, since getting the mega off is crucial to make it easier to switch Pod in.

Calcs:
32+ Atk Tough Claws Golisopod-Mega First Impression vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kingambit: 117-138 (66.8 - 78.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
32+ Atk Tough Claws Golisopod-Mega First Impression vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Metagross-Mega: 96-114 (61.9 - 73.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

32+ Atk Tough Claws Golisopod-Mega First Impression vs. 2 HP / 0 Def Garchomp-Mega-Z: 154-183 (83.2 - 98.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

32+ Atk Tough Claws Golisopod-Mega Aqua Jet vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Volcarona: 102-122 (63.7 - 76.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
32+ Atk Tough Claws Golisopod-Mega Aqua Jet vs. 2 HP / 0 Def Cinderace: 92-110 (58.5 - 70%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
32+ Atk Tough Claws Golisopod-Mega Aqua Jet vs. 2 HP / 0 Def Excadrill: 110-130 (58.8 - 69.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

:sv/samurott-hisui:
Samurott-Hisui @ Black Glasses
Ability: Sharpness
Level: 50
EVs: 26 HP / 32 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Ceaseless Edge
- Sucker Punch
- Encore

Next off is a mon that should probably be suspected, :samurott-hisui:. This is the only mon other than pod that I never once considered taking off the team and is in my opinion the most OP mon in the format. This set is great at getting spike up, revenging with sucker, and breaking through helmet :corviknight: that often comes in to chip with helmet and defog spikes away. SD on the switch, roost, or defog, then following up with encore can often put the opp too far in the back to come back. By being up in sacks golisopod can often just win the game, so samu is crucial for getting chip via spike and breaking stall via SD. This mon is pretty brainless and gets insane value in every game.

:sv/garchomp:
Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
Level: 50
EVs: 32 HP / 31 Def / 3 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Endure

Another mon crucial for getting stuff in pod range is tank chomp. The most interesting move here is endure, which is clutch at taking out physical threats singlehandedly while staying up in sacks. Chomper is the tream's defacto counter against stuff like :sneasler:, :cinderace:, :lopunny-mega:, :blaziken: and :volcarona:. Chomp should be used in earlygame to weaken things and get up rocks. It is also crucial against :charizard-mega-x:, since the team's only real way of dealing with it is through chip damage + priority. A double with :clefable: on flare blitz can let you pin it with a dtail. Tank chomp is a staple in the metagame and this team uses it with great effect to limit strong and fast physical offense.

:sv/rotom-wash:
Rotom-Wash @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Level: 50
EVs: 2 HP / 32 SpA / 32 Spe
Timid Nature
- Trick
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump

One of the team MVPs is scarf Rowash. I tried a couple mons in this slot, such as :hydreigon: and :rotom-mow:, but :rotom-wash: was by far the best. Scarfed rotom is necessary for revenging stuff like scarfed :samurott-hisui: and :quaquaval:. It is also the team's best way of hitting :archaludon: after chip and really carries the mu vs rain. It's also a good way of hitting :corviknight:, which is necessary when running the FIP pod set. Often, teams are structured in a way that once corvi falls pod just kills everything. It also sets up a great pivot chain with pod. Trick is great for mons like :clefable:, :slowking-galar:, and :dragonite:. Missing pump will unfortunately lose you games, but there isn't really another scarfer that can do the job. Since the team is generally slow, it is also clutch for revenging stuff like :pawmot:. It is also a super important mon for this team's mu vs :skeledirge:.

:sv/clefable:
Clefable @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
Level: 50
EVs: 32 HP / 21 Def / 13 Spe
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Flamethrower
- Moonlight

TBH, this was the team MVP. There are a lot of teams that just don't have a way to beat this mon. Any team that relies on :slowking-galar: to beat this is really not gonna cut it, since it is fodder unless it gets a crit. The speed on Clefable is to outspeed max speed ada :golisopod-mega:, but is also clutch against :primarina:, :corviknight:, :aegislash:, and opposing :clefable:. The moves are pretty self-explanatory. The Lorb is great for securing an OHKO on :golisopod-mega:, which can otherwise survive. If brought in on a U-turn, it's also the teams best way of getting an OHKO on a boosted :golisopod-mega: since it outspeeds and does not take much from jet or sucker. I won a loooooot of games I should have lost because I used :corviknight: as set-up fodder and then proceeded to sweep when down 2-4 or 2-5. Often, just getting a burn or getting rid of mons threatening big damage like :pawmot:, :sneasler:, or :floette-mega: is enough to let this thing run away with the game. It's also great into the prevalent dragons of the format in :garchomp:, :garchomp-mega-z:, :hydreigon:, and :dragapult:.

:sv/cinderace:
Cinderace @ Air Balloon
Ability: Blaze
Level: 50
EVs: 32 HP / 8 Atk / 2 Def / 5 SpD / 19 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Court Change
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pyro Ball
- U-turn

I saved ace for last because it was also the last mon I added to the team. It's super min maxed and was the difference maker that allowed this team to break the ~10 range and make it to rank 1. For a long time I had :ceruledge: in this spot, which trivialized a lot of mus and helped out a lot against :sneasler:, but through testing I found it was the weak link on the team and I thought :sneasler: could be reasonably dealt with via :garchomp:. Vs the problem MUs, Ace is the key. Good play is still needed, but these mus are now winable, instead of being auto-losses.

The EVs on ace are to ensure a favorable MU into :floette-mega:, which was normally a very difficult MU. The bulk allows ace to always survive a modest LOR after stealth rocks, and to always live two modest moonblast. After rocks, moonblast should almost always put ace into blaze (depending on invest) which allows an OHKO with pyro ball, while also allowing another switch in on stealth rocks. The defense invest is to always live a +2 spell tag shadow sneak after stealth rock from :aegislash: (I found that this was a roll, but 2 invest was enough to guarantee a live). Ace is a bit slow, which allows a slower uturn against opposing :cinderace:, while still being faster than all :pawmot: and anything slower. Ace is a great breaker with blaze, and it ends up being really easy to get into blaze via SR and weak hits from mons like :clefable: and :corviknight:. Court change is the team's only hazard control, which ends up usually being fine since Ace's balloon allows it to not take damage from spikes and tspike on the first switch in and :clefable: and :rotom-wash: do not care about spikes. It's a good move that can be used in MUs against :glimmora: to completely screw them over after Pod trades in the lead. The balloon is really clutch as a defacto boots against spike and in helping ace check mons like :dragonite:, :garchomp:, and :excadrill:. This is the teams best way at pressuring after a U-turn on :slowking-galar: or :corviknight:. This mon is also the team's only way at fighting :meganium-mega:, which while uncommon is otherwise just an auto-loss for this team.

Bad MUs:
:meganium-mega: : Yeah this is pretty rough. This team's main grass resist is pod, which meg can OHKO via weather ball. You need to play very well with :cinderace: and positioning in order to win, and even a little bad luck can be game ending. Hazards are also crucial to force heal turns and limit switch ins. I usually lead :cinderace: when I see :meganium:. If you can get it into range of FIP/use FIP to chip and revenge it is definitely doable.

:floette-mega:: Even with :golisopod-mega:, you die to two moonblasts or moonblast + LOR after hazards. Leading :golisopod-mega:, pressuring with hazards, and using :cinderace: at the right time are crucial to winning this MU. :rotom-wash: can also be used to revenge if :floette-mega: is sufficiently chipped from hazards or LOR.

:charizard-mega-x: / :charizard-mega-y: : Yeah, fire mega is good into pod. The worst part is guessing which it is, since the answer is very different depending on x or y. :clefable: HP and :garchomp: HP are crucial resources in trading into it, as well as :samurott-hisui:'s sucker punch and encore. Hazards are also crucial here. Main reason these are difficult is not necessarily a sweep, but them breaking a hole too big to patch up for other threats such as :sneasler: or :hydreigon:.

:pawmot:: This guy hits really hard with a life orb. Make sure to keep :clefable: healthy (above ~70/80%) if going for a sweep/trade and be careful about losing :cinderace: if this guy is alive and :rotom-wash: is also low. You might have to hit hydro pump. Keep in mind that if you trade :clefable: HP for a KO, the speed can let you get a clutch heal against :corviknight: which is a common partner.

:skeledirge: : This guy hard walls :golisopod-mega: and :clefable:, which are really the main wincons on this team. It also is hard for :cinderace: to do much against. A miss with :rotom-wash: or losing :samurott-hisui: early to a burn, helmet, or hazards can be game losing vs this guy. Def lots of counterplay (hazards + super effective hits) but it is not easy/a single mistake can screw you. Feel free to use pod as a sack vs this guy unless its needed for something like :rillaboom: or :raichu-mega-y:.

:archaludon: : After a couple stamina boosts, this guy is just thanos. Not a lot of great ways to hit it, but hydro pump from :rotom-wash: in the rain can do a big chunk. Vs rain, the sacks are crucial since :rotom-wash: can basically win on its own. Endure on :garchomp: is also great for chipping partners and wasting rain turns. I usually used :samurott-hisui: to get damage on it, stalled turns, and then got it in range of another move. Really dangerous if left until the endgame.

:garchomp: : sometimes this thing can be chipped hard by pod, but it will sometimes just have random fire coverage. just scout, not really a bad MU. :clefable: shits on it.

:primarina: : can also be difficult, but its managable with good play and trading HP with your most expendable guy. :golisopod-mega: can also do big damage with iron head.

ZARCHOMP + HOUNDSTONE + HYDRAPPLE SAND (Peaked #1 85.3 GXE)

445_f3.png

PASTE: :tyranitar: :garchomp-mega-z: :houndstone: :toxapex: :corviknight: :hydrapple:

IRON HEAD GARCHOMP VERS

FPUNCH TAR BPRESS HOUNDSTONE VERS

Hound inbound.

This team is built around the Anti-Offense power of Mega Garchomp and Sand Rush Houndoom and the balance-breaking insanity of Life Orb Hydrapple. Corviknight Toxapex and Tyranitar make up a proactive defensive backbone that enables the other 3 to shine. Spell tag Poltergeist Houndoom can be enabled to clean up or sweep with very minimal preparation, and its natural bulk allows it to trade against a multitude of threats. Teams that are not immediately threatened by Houndstone can be chipped by sand, toxic, stealth rock and burn to put them in KO range for later.

The optimal gameplan for this team is to get hazards up and do damage with Garchomp early. Fat teams will inevitably be farmed by Toxapex and Hydrapple, and Offense just can't handle the Draco spam from Garchomp-Z. Houndstone may end up thudding against teams that run itemless Pokemon, but wisp near guarantees that Houndstone will find use.

Weaknesses:
:clefable-mega:
Puts a lot of pressure on the team. A lot of fairy weak Pokemon on the squad that don't really have a lot of ways to touch Clefable. It takes a measly 20-30 from Chomp flame and blocks rocks. You could very well switch out rocks or quake for Iron head on Garchomp to help deal with it and the other fairies that threaten Corv/Pex at the cost of Rocks pressure or by making Slowking more threatening.

:primarina:
Flip turn pressure can make Toxapex a liability into Primarina. Your best options are to Thunder punch, Brave bird or Poltergeist Primarina to death. Keep rocks up with Garchomp the best that you can so that it cannot flip around forever with impunity.

:Kingambit:
Demands that you keep Tyranitar or Hydrapple healthy until late game. Haze Toxapex and Houndstone Will-O-Wisp can help keep Gambit from becoming too ocky too quickly, but neither can threaten it with any damage. Body Press Houndstone is a possible solution to that problem in particular, but psychic fangs will remain your best option as long as Sneasler is around.

:Sneasler:
Simply puts too great of a pressure onto your defensive checks. Unboosted Sneasler can't really kill anything on this squad but Ttar directly--but Tyranitar, Houndstone and -2 Garchomp or Hydrapple tend to invite it in to Swords Dance. Toxapex and Corviknight are already under an immense amount of pressure defensively, and sacking one or the other to try to chip or haze boosts away might lead to something else breaking through. Non-terrain versions of Sneasler are not nearly as threatening.

:golisopod-mega:
Hydrapple and Ttar invite it in for free. Thunder punch can be swapped for Fire punch to help with this, but do note you only do like 80 max. Your best options are to wisp with Houndstone or hope you chip it enough for BB corv to come in and trade. None of the above applies to Bulk up sub. Haze like your life depends on it.

:samurott-hisui:
Do you see a fairy or fighting type on this team?

Rabbit & Tank Offense (#6 ladder)
:Lopunny_Mega: :Garchomp: :Kingambit: :Hatterene: :Glimmora: :Dragapult:
https://pokepast.es/920729d877bd5c0a

- Lopunny is probably on the list of best 3 mega in the current metagame, with its combination of Speed + Priority Moves options having massive advantage against opposing heavily offensive powerhouse including Sneasler, Absol-Z and wide variety of Dark types in the tier.

- Bulky Glimmora: Super frustrating mon for the opponents due to the sheer looniness of Red Card + Toxic Debris can randomly wear down would-be checks such as Bulky Garchomp or Volcarona after sth clicking weak moves (Ceaseless Edge / U-turn and stuffs) into Glim.

- Life Orb Dragapult: Garchomp-Z on steroid, being used as mid-late breaker plus spinblocker that can punch huge holes against Corviknight, Primarina and weather teams in general.

I was having a lot of fun with this team but things might went south, especially if I have to deal with Ezra’s Stall.
