I can't count how many lucario,pikachu,garchomp,ect. references i've seen. Including those people who just add Xs,Numbers, or extend the last letter- like Lucariooo.
 
I've had this name for a long time, so long ago that I don't exactly remember when I started using it. I got the incentive to use the name while playing the game Evolution Worlds for the GC. Evolutia was a very important plot device in that game.

Overall I like the name alot hence why it's stuck with me for so long. It does have it's negatives though...Like being mistaken for a female entirely too often -__-
 
Welllllll, I first was using master_of_darkness, as a snot-nosed 12 year old (at a different forum). Later on, I decided to shorten it a bit to darkmaster. Still, that name was really stupid, and people just called me darkie anyway, so I'm here as darkie! I had wierd punctation at first because I was really stupid, etc. I got it removed, and though I kind of wanted to change it to 'reaction' or something else chemistry related, I was already somewhat established as darkie, just like cookie.
 
Darkie don't forget the punctuation you used to have on your name. What was that all about?

Yeah, I got my nickname in a dream. I kind of felt obligated to write that down when i woke up and I 've stuck with it. Sometimes I'll go on shoddy as mastircheese, which I got from being angry that a place already had a mastercheese, so I went with the next best thing. Uhhhh, yeah, that's about it :P.
 
This is one of the few forums where I have the name 'Zero'.

'zeroality' is what I use at almost everywhere else and it's original - haven't failed to register with it at anyplace yet.
 
Duckman has been my nickname for years, but that was already taken. Duckster isn't that much different, and it comes from the same show, so it works.

I try to be consistent, in recent years I've been going with Duckster to conform with my smogon account as opposed to Duckman, which is only ever not taken on shitty 200 member invision free forums. Though odds are if you see a 'Duckman' posting on a Pokemon message board its me!

ill as duck is another tag I use occasionally, which is just a play on the phrase 'ill as fuck' and my nickname.

But yeah, Norulz pretty much hit the nail right on the [.head]. Other than that, it's a pain when trying to log-in on a different computer with punctuation as opposed to without.

My username is interesting really...

The "Law" part of my name is actually my initials. Logan A. W. (I'm not gonna reveal too much info here).

Anyways the "man" part is from a nickname my Uncle gave me as a kid. "Lawman". I liked it, so as I thought of a nickname here, I thought I might as well go with Lawman. Other places I go with LawmanX or Lawmanx25 should Lawman be taken, the X from... well, its random really. The 25 is my day of birth, 4/25.

I have also been thinking about another nickname I've used before, but it would be too similar to another username here for my preference.
 
I phail.

It came from my original Screen Name, which I still use, and that came from the fact that I play tennis. 0227 is my birthday, but I'm not going to get rid of it. Some numbers have a nice ring to them.
 
i like to play poker and pokemon and wanted to combine that into one name cause im cool like that. most people know the show high stakes poker or at least know that poker can be played for high stakes, and the concept of high stakes pkmn is just awesome in general, so thats how i combined the two :)

i was thinking of making the name hupkmn4rollz, but not enough people would get it.
 
In hindsight, my name does sound sort of stupid, but when I came up with it it sounded nice. The reason I came up with it was because I played an MMORPG, and my account name was DarkBladeKnight. Anyway, you couldn't have your account name and character name be the same, so I looked for a synonym for blade and found saber. I named my character DarkSaberKnight, and everyone just decided to call me Saber, so thats how I got my ''Online Alias''. The reason Shadow is there is because almost everywhere I go Saber is taken, and I didn't think of using a hyphen or something like that.
 
I just have to say that I've really enjoyed reading through this thread. I have always wondered the reasoning behind some of the more unique usernames.

As for mine, its a play on words. Ubermench is the German word for superman (which is where it was conceived), and munch has been a nickname people have called me for years (along with Jeff, Jethro, Jethro Tull, Jeffe, and many other strange variations). Putting the two together just seemed like a clever idea.
 
Bill Withers freakin wins. Not exactly a short name, but it's easy enough to remember.

I'm just tired of seeing stuff like "pikachufan18385" and "pokemonmaster1253". Anything with numbers is generally not to my liking, unless it's a leet variation of a name.

Lonely comes from being the only Ness player in SSBM at my local tournaments, being the only one of my kind I was fairly lonely...

Also rolls of the tongue pretty easily, and I generally find it to be a pretty bad ass name with plenty of ways to abbreviate. LN, LNess, etc.. etc.. etc...
 
I always found Cynthia from D/P to be a cool character with good team, and kind of an inspiration as a female Pokemon trainer. Cynthia's name is also pretty close to my real first name (same first and last letters.) Also wanted to show off how dashless I am now.

Anyway, my name comes from the sillyest of origins.This name came from one of my school friends after we were mucking around at school.
