Serious chrustmas gift reaction thread

My family and friends tried out a White Elephant for the first time. Highlights involve my unopened DIY Battlebots (remember when that was a thing) finally getting some love, my friend's mom getting stuck with her own best of Adam Sandler SNL video, and my dad picking Dr Awful's Food Chemistry Set from 2006.
 
We dont open gifts until morning but I hope i dont get any games. I am so burnt out on gaming until gta 5. I need a laptop and thats it.

Sorry to hear it. :( There's been a bit of that going around lately. I can think of multiple users, including myself (my aunt died last week, and my grandmother had cancer in 2010). So I know how hard it is at a time like this especially, and my sympathies are fully with you. I hope your relative will be okay and your family can pull through. Stay strong and safe these holidays.

not as exciting or fun as last year but it's the thought that counts!!

i gave my bisexual bestie a "box full of fannies" (Skins (UK) reference - we're obsessed), just a couple of erotic magazines, grow me a girlfriend, some vagina lips candies as an inside joke kind of gift haha
 
i got fifa 13

which is a great game

but i already own it

so i'm returning it and buying a nik stauskas jersey (michigan basketball)
 
i've yet to receive all gifts due, but at this point my favorite thing is probably the urban outfitters gift card my father gave me. otherwise, got some hard cash, and lots of fattening cookies
 
Well, I got some cash, about 2kg of candy, a new monitor/keyboard/mouse, some clothes and a couple of awesome books about baking tiny (and adorable!) cakes and pies. Not a bad year!
 
I got the classiest winter coat ever conceived because that's just who I am
 
In the Stocking: Planter's Cashews, a shit ton of various candy, and a 6 oz bag of Jack Link's Beef Jerky.

Actual Presents: Flame Red 3DS, Kid Icarus Uprising and MK7, the guide to Kid Icarus, NBA 2k13, 85$ worth of gift cards, and the guide for BW2.

So not a bad haul at all this year.
 
I got what is probably the nerdiest game on the planet (Star Trek: Catan) and my brother and I gave our Dad a bottle of whiskey. My dad also made this programmable LED bracelet for my cousin. Kind of surprised I didn't get a shirt from Think Geek this year.
 
Starving/stingy University student #1 got a bunch of new clothes to replace some old ones, a couple books although I've still yet to catch up on all the crap I didn't read during the term, tickets to see Bon jovi (fuk yea) and then money from various places.

Most of that money went to gifts for my mom, stepdad, and sister (terrific reaction) but the rest is being saved for a special someone when I get back to Ottawa.

The best was my Dad though, handmade him a scrapbook of photos of me and my sister and he was blown away. He liked the e-reader too.
 
I got a lot of crap. Best present? Got a Wii U. It's just awesome.

I also got a solid state drive, and after putting it in my laptop, it's now fast as a bullet. I also got Pokemon LeafGreen Version..... IN THE BOX. And a Zoroark plush!

A discounted textbook for next year (that I'm paying for) and the opportunity to sleep in until 1:30pm.

Parents are both working.
