Old Gen Tournaments Calendar
Introduction
Smogon Classic [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7] is an official tournament series that was introduced in 2015 for competing in Gens 1-5 OU (the old generations at the time). It has remained that way since. When the past gen championships were introduced in 2018, ORAS was now an old gen, so an unofficial ORAS cup was created to keep the points systems across each generation very similar. In 2020, an unofficial SM cup was also introduced.
Classic cups are first-to-2 win single eliminations tournaments, with RBY, GSC, ADV, DPP and BW Cups earning you points towards entry into the Smogon Classic Playoffs. Winning the playoffs awards you with a trophy in your postbit. The remaining unofficial SM and ORAS Cups, along with the individual official ones, count towards RoA Forum and Past Gen Championships.
Results in these tournaments earn you 8× base points for the Past Gen Championship 2019 circuit onwards.
