SkillGamer12 : Sorry, there are 2 Florges so I'm not sure which one you wanted, the Bold or Modest one?

BTW, I’ll be SR’ing my PGL shiny Koko soon. And it’s not Timid-locked, for a change! Do you have a recommendation for a non-Timid Nature and/or HP for a Doubles Koko? I was thinking Naive/Hasty/Modest HP Ice, or maybe Jolly. I’ve only ever used Timid Koko (which are everywhere), so I thought a shiny non-Timid could be a novelty with an element of surprise :)

For doubles, I would definitely recommend Modest (that's what I'll be getting myself from that gift)! It's commonly used on Assault Vest sets since they have the bulk to sustain a hit and can use Electroweb for speed control, so the additional damage from Modest is welcome. Timid usually remains the best nature, but I think Modest is the second most viable - unless you want a mixed Z-move set similar to the one I have listed here in A-Rank, that's also good, but less popular or versatile.

Hippoudon (sand stream (BTW: Is this lad designed for a sandy trick room squad? with zero speed IVs on a fairly slow boi,)

Yeah, its speed tier is so low that going min speed makes it a lot better on Trick Room teams. It's not necessarily meant to be on sand teams though, it can just be a bulky attacker, a decent switch-in to several things, and can also do decent damage. It can also be used outside of Trick Room though, an advantage of a very slow tanky Pokémon alongside a fast team is that the AI will not set Trick Room themselves if they don't have the slowest Pokémon on the field, so it can help prevent that. Even just as a sand setter for a faster team I think Hippo could work. But it's definitely meant to be a Trick Room attacker primarily, yes :P

Flygon is a pretty good pick, a bit on the frail side but Tectonic Rage should prove very useful I think! Trevenant may have been a big potential blessing depending on what your other options will be, but it's definitely hard to pick a Trick Room setter right away before knowing what your next choices will be :/ That's a disadvantage of randomizing the pool one by one. Maybe you could allow yourself to see the choices for all 4 picks right away to help creating synergy?

Thanks for the tip! I was keen on more power, but was a bit concerned about losing Spd, but you’ve convinced me! I’ll go for Modest. Do you reckon HP Ice, Fire or Ground? I usually go for HP Ice, but arguments can be made for Fire/Ground in Doubles, even in VGC19.

BlazingBarrager : I couldn't find your Cutiefly, has it already gotten sniped? :(

HP Ice is mostly used in OU as far as I know. In doubles, it's a lot less common, HP Fire is usually preferred to hit both Kartana and Ferrothorn (hidden power is a relatively rare move to run on Koko overall though, except maybe on choiced sets). However, in the VGC19 format in particular, HP Water is the one you'd want (especially on a modest one), to hit Primal Groudon when paired with Kyogre or Rayquaza. That's a very niche pick though since it's not likely to be relevant in future formats (maybe in VGC 2022? who knows lol).
So in short, I'd go was Fire, unless you want to use it singles too, in which case Ice is probably better!
