The only thing I look up to is the sky
[Pros]

It has an incredible offensive ability, with the movepool to support it.

Its high Special Attack and large movepool make it a very threatening special attacker.

[Cons]

It is incredibly slow, which severely hampers its sweeping potential.

It is fairly frail, and due to its low Speed, has difficulty performing as a usable glass cannon.

[Set Recommendations]

name: Special Sweeper
move 1: Water Pulse / Scald
move 2: Aura Sphere
move 3: Ice Beam
move 4: Dark Pulse / U-turn
ability: Mega Launcher
item: Choice Specs / Life Orb
evs: 164 HP / 252 SAtk / 92 Spe
nature: Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)

Clawitzer's only redeeming quality is its high Special Attack. When coupled with its ability, Mega Launcher, Clawitzer becomes a fearsome force, getting a boost to Water Pulse, Aura Sphere, and Dark Pulse. Scald is an alternative option to Water Pulse, being able to burn Clawitzer's checks, but the drop in power is fairly noticeable and should be taken into consideration. U-turn serves as a reliable way to gain momentum, as well as getting chip damage on more reliable counters to Clawitzer. Dark Pulse helps complete Clawitzer's coverage, while also getting a boost from its ability Mega Launcher, and as result is generally favored over U-turn. Choice Specs bolsters Clawitzer's already high Special Attack, with Life Orb offering slightly less power and the ability to change attacks at the cost of longevity.

The Speed EVs on Clawitzer allows it to outspeed unboosted base 70s, with the rest of the EVs focusing on power and bulk. Clawitzer greatly appreciates Sticky Web support, helping to augment its low Speed. Excadrill and Aegislash also serve as excellent partners, as they are able to reliably handle special walls and bulky Fairy-type Pokemon such as Sylveon. Similarly, Mega Gengar serves as a good partner, being able to trap and kill most wpecial walls and Fairy-types.

[Checks and Counters]

Special walls such as Blissey, Chansey, and Goodra serve as excellent counters to Clawitzer, being able to reliably wall all sets. Similarly, bulky Fairy-type Pokemon such as Sylveon serve as excellent counters. Fast Electric-type Pokemon such as Zapdos and Heliolisk serve as good checks, being able to threaten Clawitzer with STAB Electric-type attacks. Rotom-W serves as a particularly good check, being able to resist Clawitzer's STAB while threatening back with STAB Volt Switch. In general, Clawitzer struggles against fast offensive teams, as it lacks the bulk to stomach most attacks and is outsped by a majority of these teams.
