Counter that OU Pokemon! **DON'T REPEAT SETS!!!!**

Skarmory would be the obvious choice, but someone already took him, so I'll take
477.png

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal | Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spd
Swords Dance / Earthquake / Ice Fang / Protect

Gliscor is a pretty decent counter to Conkeldurr. Gliscor can wall Conkeldurr to kingdom come, as Stone Edge only does 41% max. This can easily be healed off with Poison Heal and Protect. Don't forget, it's sometimes called Stone Miss for a reason. Gliscor can also set up SD and proceed to 2HKO with EQ. He can also simply PP stall Conkeldurr out of SE, meaning he'll barely be able to scratch Gliscor later. Once Conkeldurr is down, Gliscor may be at somewhat low health, but this isn't a big issue with Poison Heal. Gliscor can support as a physical wall, or possibly even sweep under the right conditions.
080.png

Slowbro @ Leftovers
Trait: Poison Heal | Bold Nature
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Sp!
Ice Beam / Scald / Psychic / Slack Off

Slowbro can easily tank any thing Gliscor has. Even boosted Earthquakes do pitiful amounts of damage. Slowbro can OHKO Gliscor with Ice Beam as well. Not to mention, the damage dealt by Gliscor can be healed off with Regenerator or Slack Off.

676.png

Kyurem @ Life Orb
Mild Nature
36 Atk / 252 SpA / 220 Spe
-Draco Meteor
-Focus Blast
-Hidden Power Fire
-Outrage

Kyurem has great natural bulk and can as such take Gliscor's earthquake with ease (even after SR), and of course switches into Gliscor's other moves with impunity. Draco Meteor OHKOes. Draco Meteor is very powerful and makes Kyurem very difficult to counter. Even if the counter survives this, they have to contend with an Outrage equivalent to that of a Jolly max attack Life Orb Flygon. This also means that Blissey is not a counter and Chansey is a risky switch-in. Steel types cannot take Focus Blast and Hidden Power fire easily. On top of that, the counter then must contend with Kyurem ridiculous natural bulk. This thing has 125/90/90 defenses (admittedly with horrible weaknesses, but still). This is one of my favourite wallbreakers out there. Can you stop it?

edit: damn ninjas. Thankfully Kyurem also beats Slowbro handily, taking all three of its moves easily and OHKOing with Draco Meteor. And poison heal Slowbro...really?

Cresselia @ leftovers
Nature: bold
Evs: 252 hp/252 def
-hidden power fire
-reflect
-moonlight
-ice beam

Cresselia is an all around dragon counter for every dragon who isn't named hydriegon. She can switch in on anything this kyurem does and can easily shrug off the damage. Ice beam doesn't do much to kyurem in particular but he can't exactly do anything back. Moonlight will heal off the damage from anything kyurem could have done and reflect makes cresselia's job of supporting the team easier.

Pretty sure that Cresselia is 2HKOed by DM + Outrage after SR. Not a counter.

edit: DM: 58.8% - 69.1%; Outrage: 31.1% - 36.7%. Two Draco Meteors would apparently also suffice. So it's an all round dragon counter for everything but Latios and Kyurem and Hydreigon and Haxorus. Nice.

Tbh, there are pretty much no standard sets that counter that thing, with the possible exception of SpD jirachi, which has already been used several times in the thread.

Infernape @ Life Orb
Nature: Rash
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA/ 252 Att
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Grass Knot
- Close Combat

Takes the impressive amount of 14% from Ice Beam, and freely sets up Nasty Plots. Fire Blast deals 93% max at +2, and cleanly OHKOes at +4. This particular sets makes it very hard to switch into, as fully specced CC wreck stuff. Most defensive pokemon don't do much to it, as Infernape freely sets up boosts, and after that wrecks more stuff. More speed can be ran to outspeed anything up to Terrakion and friends.

Chandelure (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Pain Split
- Shadow Ball
- Fire Blast

Chandelure can just come in and take in a fire attack as it is immune. Grass knot with no boost does around 20% damage and +2 does around 40%

337 SAtk vs 216 SDef & 261 HP (60 Base Power): 44 - 52 (16.86% - 19.92%)
(337x2) SAtk vs S216 Def & 261 HP (60 Base Power): 87 - 103 (33.33% - 39.46%)

Chadelure can just OHKO with Shadow Ball. Fire blast is for coverage against other pokemon, and substitute + pain split as a way to not get status and gain some hp back.

427 SAtk vs 147 SDef & 262 HP (80 Base Power): 250 - 295 (95.42% - 112.60%)

Tyranitar (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Superpower

Takes virtually nothing from either shadow ball or fire blast, and either crunch or pursuit will nearly finish off chandelure even without any attack investment.

Machamp @ leftovers
No Guard
Adamant
212 atk, 252 def, 44 speed
Dynamicpunch
Substitute
Bulk Up
Cross Chop
can easily take a pursuit or crunch from Tyranitar, doesn't quite outspeed TTar but can ohko with a 100% accurate cross chop, of course he won't like switching in on a superpower all that much, however, if the previous poke was a ghost type he can switch in just fine. Some fast powerful electric types like electrode or some dark types to deal with flying, then psychic and ghost types. He deals ko's to all who are weak against him. Dynamicpunch at 100% acuracy with a 100% confuse rate is always a boon, substitute and bulk up allow him to set up on whomever he resists while recovering with leftovers.
Perhaps we could eventually get some very ineresting/not obvious counters huh? That will be fun!

@ Machamp set

Jellicent (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 236 Def / 16 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt
- Recover

Can't touch this (rest of song). Seeing that you have two fighting type moves and no other way of hitting ghost types, this set or any ghost pokemon can easily switch in and break sub, if you set up one, and then cripple Machamp with will-o-wisp.

Starmie @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Recover

Starmie doesn't fear burns, resists scald, and can hit you hard with a life orb'd thunderbolt.

Chansey @ Eviolite
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic

I hate to use the blob, but Starmie's impeccable coverage leaves little options. Pink bitch here will take any hit that Starmie has, and can easily proceed to wear it down with Toxic and Seismic toss, forcing it out. It can also pass massive wishes to its teammates who might want to switch in and recover off a powerful hit from Starmie (Scizor can take any singular hit and get healed back to full thanks to Chansey's wish, for example, then proceed to pursuit trap Starmie).

Gengar (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Pain Split
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball

Gengar can switch in onto both Seismic Toss and Toxic with impunity. From there Chansey has no choice but to risk having its health zapped away by Pain Split or face being KO'ed by Focus Blast. Eventually, Chansey will be unable to cope since Pain Split will be able to out-pp the Protect+Wish combo. In his team, Gengar acts as an anti stall measure while still being able to hit offensive teams hard, even act as a revenger with his base 110 speed.

Scizor (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/ 40 Atk / 216 SpD
Careful (+SpD, -SpA)
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower

Focus Blast does 146 - 172, meaning that with Leftovers, it cannot 2HKO. Roost allows Scizor to stall out Focus Blast, or Bullet Punch Gengar to death once Focus Blast misses.

I'm pretty sure that falls a little short Reachzero. Not only is Scizor at risk from a 2HKO after SR or Spikes, but risks crits or SpD drops if it tries to stall Focus Blast out. Still, Gengar is a tricky Pokemon to counter.

145.png

Zapdos @ Lefties
Trait: Pressure | Nature: Bold
EVs: 248 HP / 228 Def / 8 SDef / 24 Spd
Thunderbolt / Heat Wave / Roost / Roar

Zapdos shuts down that poor little bug. With its bulk and resistences, Zapdos can shrug off everything Scizor can throw at it and simply Roost it off. He can then proceed to fry him with a Heat Wave. Should Scizor get too many boosts, Zapdos can just Roar him out. Once Scizor is down, Zapdos should be in fine shape, so it can continue walling physical threats, phazing out set up sweepers, and frying steels, possibly leading to a sweep.

Cradily (F) @ leftovers
Trait: Suction Cups
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Stockpile
- Recover
- Toxic
- Rock Slide

resists thunderbolt, doesnt take much from heat wave. Can fire a toxic at it, and it cannot be phazed away by roar because it has suction cups. After a couple of stockpiles, the only way to wear it down would be if another pokemon uses toxic. Otherwise, if no more pokemon that can toxic are left, only a crit could save their win because this Cradily is hard to take down otherwise, especially in a sandstorm.

Hariyama @leftovers Adamant
252Atk/172spDef/84 Spe
Close combat
Ice Punch
Fake out/stone edge
Bullet punch
Hari's bulk allows him to switch into any of cradilys moves and go to town with close combat. If he switches into toxic then he gets a guys boost. Ice Punch deters gliscor and dragon switchins, fake out is extra priority or stone edge for coverage if you really want it, and bullet punch to hurt frail ghosts such as gengar.

Bulk up Heracross
Heracross @ ChestoBerry
Trait: Guts
EVs: 208 HP / 104 Atk / 196 SpDef
Nature: Careful
-Bulk Up
-Megahorn
-Low Kick
-Rest

Not only does Close Combat from hariyama do only 36.5% - 43.1% to heracross. But it can outspeed and proceed to bulk up in the process to reduce damage. Since alot of coutners were already stated it might be pretty hard to switch into this thing.

EDIT: Changed it to Rest so it can heal off damage and bulk up some more. And changed the nature so it can take hits better

104 +1 Atk Heracross Megahorn vs 244 HP/12 Def Toxicroak: 24.18% - 28.53%
5-6 hits to KO (with Leftovers)

Toxicroak (F) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Dry Skin
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Taunt
- Drain Punch
- Stone Edge
Shuts down bulk up heracross with taunt, can set up on it with bulk up and outstall it with drain punch.

Gallade (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Steadfast
EVs: 240 HP / 244 SpD / 44 Spe
Careful Nature (+SpD, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Zen Headbutt
- Drain Punch
- Shadow Sneak

Bulk Up gallade with my own twist. It resists both of toxicroak's attacks and can match its bulk ups. If toxicroak taunts it in return, then it gets slammed with a Zen Headbutt for an easy KO. Drain Punch and shadow sneak give it some coverage and keep it healthy for the next opponent to come in.

Toxicroak (F) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Dry Skin
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Taunt
- Drain Punch
- Stone Edge
Shuts down bulk up heracross with taunt, can set up on it with bulk up and outstall it with drain punch.

Quagsire (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spe)
-Earthquake
-Scald
-Recover
-Toxic

Takes pretty much nothing thanks to Unaware, while you smack Toxicroak with Earthquake while it does almost nothing in return.

Celebi @ Life Orb
252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Substitute / Nasty Plot / Giga Drain / Psychic
If it switches into Toxic or Scald Burn, switch out or just kill it. Otherwise, set up Substitute and start Nasty Plotting. Even with Unaware, Celebi OHKOes and Quagsire fails to do, well, anything.

Edit: it took me about 5 minutes to type that up on my phone so forgive me it's a little short.

Heatran @ Leftovers
4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
Magma Storm / Torment / Taunt / Toxic

Fun stallbreaking Heatran I sometimes run. Breaks thru Celebi like nothing, while being able to beat Chansey and Blissey, as well as nonScald Jellicent.

Altaria (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 182 Atk / 76 SDef
Hardy Nature
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Roost
- Heal Bell

Takes ~30% from magma storm, earthquake does 87-100% in return. Toxic can be shrugged off with natural cure or heal bell.

Gligar@eviolite
Trait:Immunity
252 hp/252Defense/4 attack
Impish Nature
-Earthquake
-Taunt
-Toxic
-Roost

Outspeed altaria, doesn't care about dragon claw, taunts then toxics. If it came in on anything other than heal bell, it can taunt to block that too.
