Here are some ideas for mythical Pokemon. I imagine you'd be able to get one of these in a post game event pertaining to the E4, depending on which element you match best.
already told you in discord but these look so good!! game freak loves to have legendary dragons, but having these be a quartet with each pulling from one mythology is so clever!! not to mention that they straight up look real sick, i love all four
Here's something slightly different from usual. Something that has always bothered me in One Punch Man is the distinct lack of cyborg smiles, so this is a quick attempt at rectifying that issue. Colors were done in a single layer to speed up the process. :)
Here's an updated version of Crystallix for the Science Pokemon Challenge by n0rtist.
Steelix-Variant / Crystallix
Typing:
/
Stats: 75 / 95 / 140 / 55 / 55 / 95 (BST: 510) Abilities: Rock Head / Sturdy / Sheer Force
Its body has recrystalized to withstand the intense pressure and heat of the earth's mantle. It is rarely seen near the surface, as the minerals in its hide become unstable under atmospheric pressure.
Based on the concept of metamorphism and different phase equilibria of minerals in reaction to pressure and temperature changes. While Steelix has somewhat of an earth core theme, Crystallix would represent the conditions in the earth mantle. The color and crystals are a reference to peridotite, which makes up most of the earth's upper mantle. *
* The use of peridotite is admittedly an oversimplification of the process that overlooks the vastly different composition of earth's mantle and crust. In reality, the (presumed) mineral paragenesis of Onix would result in a different equilibrium sequence which isn't as commonly known and isn't characteristic for the earth's mantle composition (since earth's mantle by large did not form through metamorphism of surface rocks). In order to produce peridotite through metamorphism, Onix would need to have an ultramafic composition with minerals such as serpentinite (which is actually strangely fitting for a Rock Snake Pokemon)
