Dinosaurs.

I'm ashamed that dinosaurs didn't summon sandstorms onto the battle field when facing rampardos's and meganiums...... Oh well.

One of my fav dino's would have to be the carnataurus. Probably because of one of the names it has obtained: Meat eating bull. If that isn't an awesome name, then I don't know what is! Plus they have odd impressions in their skin, arms that are even more ridiculous than the T-rex, and are just awesome. Awesomness oozes out of them.

Onto the discussion of fighting, I believe that these matchups would make sense. I'm too lazy to actually go online and check the dates, but lets just pretend that they are all in the same period, alright?

T-rex vs Ankylosaurus= Anky. I'd imagine that to get to the underbelly, rex would have to flip it over using it's head like a shovel. While it's trying to do that, anky can simply smash it's tail over the T-rex's head, since it's lowered, and break it.

T-rex vs Stegosaurus= T-rex. The spikes on the tail just simply aren't enough to defend it. T-rex wins.

T-rex vs Triceratops= Triceratops. Ah, now here's where spikes/horns are efficient! Stabbing it in the legs are gonna hurt, and it might get lucky and severe a tendon in the leg, to cripple the tyrant lizard. That, plus it's frill that protects the T-rex from biting it's neck helps too.

T-rex vs Brachiosaurus= no comment.

T-rex vs Pteradactyl= no comment.

T-rex vs Pachycelophasaurus (I'll just say ramp for rampardos)=tie. While ramp has speed and agility, rex has brute strength and the stubbornness of a bull. While ramp could easily smash it's head a couple of times, which would deal quite a bit of damage, the T-rex only has to bite it once and it's all over. However, taking speed and agility into context, ramp can run circles around rex thus avoiding the jaws. It's smaller than it, so it can easily avoid hits.

pachy would do nothing to a trex with a headbutt, and at that time it would be close enough for Trex to kill it. it's just too small. the only way it could stay alive is to run in the opposite direction, although I don't know how fast Trex is. a lot heavier, sure, but it's got a longer stride too

I'M GONNA LET THSI SLIDE because tomorrow's my birthday

but doN'T NECRO BUMP!!!

is that the internet term? idrk

i'm gonna let this slide because the pokemon in your avatar is maybe loosely based on a dinosaur

this thread is now for people that are dinosaur-related with a claim to birthday

Susan Hendrickson just had a birthday on December 2. She is best known for her discovery of a Tyrannosaurus rex fossil skeleton in South Dakota on August 12, 1990. Her discovery was the largest specimen of a T. rex found and one of the most complete skeletons. This skeleton is now known as "Sue" in honor of her discovery. It is on display at the Field Muse

Hey my name's dakota! And my birthday was like two weeks ago!

buttered toast you have this ALL wrong

rg and vkca, on the other hand, i am so pleased right now

Hmmm.... Well, you would have to think about what kind of damage a stegosaurus could do! I mean, the spikes are intimidating, but I personally don't think those spikes would do enough damage to it. It might scare the predator away, but if the Allosaurus is desperate, then it would definitely get it's "just desserts". I just don't believe that those spikes are powerful enough. Now, if they were like claws, then that would make more sense. But they are more like spikes like that of a triceratops. so yeah, Allosaurus wins IMO.

Also, another one of my fav dinosaurs is the dimetrodon. The dinosaur with the sail on it's back that walked on all four legs. But I don't understand how it's such a great hunter. It would be awkward moving around with that sail on it's back. Could someone explain it to me?

Dimetrodon, carnataurus, or stegosaurus pokemon. Who's with me?

Some theories suggest that Dimetredon's sail was for soaking up rays and getting moving faster than its potential prey, which potentially cancels out the burden of carrying the sail.

Also Dimetrodon is not a dinosaur.

Dimetrodon was a synapsid, a mammal-like reptile (or proto-mammal), similar to gorgonopsids. Synapsids are known for a single opening in their skull behind each eye, and are broken up into two groups; pelycosaurs (where dimetrodon and other early synapsids are designated) and therapsids (more advanced mammal-like reptiles like gorgonopsids). These animals developed during the Permian period, right before the Mesozoic era and the Triassic period.

Sorry, I really like prehistory.
It's a lot of fun, but I only know casual nerdy things.
Also, I think it's Carnotaurus, with an 'o.'
