Description: Coming up with an attacking Normal-type move that could have wide distribution but didn't take up an already existing niche was very hard (especially in a Return / Frustration gen). I also didn't wanna cop out like they did with Terrain Pulse and introduce a type-changing move. So I landed on the idea of sound-based moves. This is a more powerful Hyper Voice but it comes at the cost of being unable to use any other Sound-based moves for the two following turns. This can be especially useful on -ate attackers, particularly Mega Gardevoir giving it a more defining niche in the ORAS metagame with a burst attacking option (but remember, this also blocks Hyper Voices after!), and giving Mega Altaria a special attacking approach, or a stronger option on defensive / support sets! Maybe could be used on Mega Pidgeot and/or Sylveon as well?

Description: The user throws a cursed apple at the target that deals super effective damage to Fairy-Types. This also has a chance to poison.
Concept: Fairy-Tale poisoned apple (Snow White), helps dark and fighting-types deal with fairy. Azumarill and Diancie in shambles. Flavor wise it's mostly intended for Honchkrow and the two grass/ghosts but as a DLC move it would have good distribution. Honestly not that strong but the flavor is fun.

Description: Fire-Type Venoshock, Weaker because Burn’s already a useful defensive tool.

Since this is a regional dex format - last time I checked, anyways - I’ve balanced it with lower scald distribution in mind. Would definitely pair well with a Cherry Bomb user, if that wins.
Name: Cleansing Wave
Category:
Special
Typing: Water
Base Power: 40
Accuracy: 100%
PP: 16
Effect: Remove Leech Seed and entry hazards of both side, and decrease Speed of damaged Pokémon by one stage. Hit all adjacent foes.
Users (by fully evolved): :lugia::suicune::manaphy::phione::corsola::swanna::milotic::lapras::politoed::slowking::alomomola::masquerain::blissey::cinccino::audino::chimecho::aromatisse::illumise:
Viable Users: :lugia: (Ubers), :suicune:, :manaphy:, :milotic:, :politoed:, :slowking:, :alomomola:, :blissey:
Description: Hazard control with chip damage and speed control. Water as a Type can do a lot of thing, so this move distribution is restricted so that Gen 6’s only OU-allowed Drizzle user in Politoed have a further niche, while Suicune, Manaphy, Milotic, Blissey, Slowking, and even Lapras provide support. In Ubers, Lugia can help fellow Ubers by slowing down faster threats like Palkia and Xerneas, as well as cleansing off Stealth Rock that is set up by Primal Groudon(!) to help teammates like Ho-Oh to switch in more safely.

(!) If this got in by “ORAS forms available with DLC” given ORAS is the definite Gen 6 competitive scene. And obviously, the move fails if attempting to use against Primal Groudon due to Desolate Land, so use it when it is switched-out.

What we have planned for Slate 3 is to give the new winning moves to new Pokémon that can well make use of one or several of them!

Indeed, this is distribution time!

Thoughts on winning moves:

Vocal Strain (lydian)
This move is pretty fire. Its just ursa bloodmoons signature but on damn near everything (and a bit weaker, tri attack users stay winning lmao), but thats all it needs to be.
The pixilate users are also pretty cool, looking forward to how they fare in the metagame

Bad Apple (Akira 153)
gen 6 didnt really have many top fairies tmk, not nearly as many as gen 7 anyways, but regardless, good move. Helps nerf fairy in a way that doesnt push some other type over the edge, and lets us put more fairies into the meta without the fear of them being overbearing. (Also, congrats on the tiebreaker win! Votes were very close)

Kindle (Me!)
Nothing new that I haven’t already gone over in the original submission. Salutes to Sunburn, because oops, and Hot Tag, which would’ve enabled the (very funny) trick “Hot Tag + Assault Vest”
I’m personally hoping this makes burn not too much more common, but just enough to make guts users run other items to deter it, because a burned guts choice band facade isn’t fun to try and wall (1.5 x 1.5 x 2 (x 1.5 if STAB) = 4.5 (6.75) x 70 = 315 (472) effective BP Facade)

Cleansing Wave (Samtendo)
Rapid Spin if it was Cool:
Fr though, more hazard control is nice (though admittedly not the most necessary in a defog gen, especially without a certain pile of coins in the way), and the users list is, while small, very neat. The speed drop is also quite nice, though less relevant on the slow users like blissey (who likes having yet another disruptive tool, very cool) or slowking. I would like to also mention that, due to water absorb, Lapras can block its own cleansing wave, but is held back by a rocks weakness (and before you mention suicune, suicunes hidden ability is inaccessible as it was never distributed)

Thanks for reading! Excited for slate 3, and happy belated holidays!

Well, we intended Slate 3 to already be opened but I guess we weren't clear enough.

So we open Slate 3! Reminder: it is a distribution slate, where we give the moves to some viable users.

As for Slate 4, well, we're opened to suggestions!

In all Honesty (IMO) we should just have a full on slate 3.5 to discuss what slate 4 should be. Then returning non-kalos mons, regional forms, new megas/pokemon, items, etc. Are all on the table as ideas.

In all Honesty (IMO) we should just have a full on slate 3.5 to discuss what slate 4 should be. Then returning non-kalos mons, regional forms, new megas/pokemon, items, etc. Are all on the table as ideas.
Well, this is what we're gonna do. The distribution for the moves will be the ones in the winning subs, and we will discuss how to proceed with next slate!

For those who didn't join the Discord, please do!

And what's next?

Well, it's up to you guys! We take every idea, and it's time for a Slate 3.5!

What we have in mind right now is a similar type of slate compared to older versions of DLCmons, being a two times Fakemon slate.

First step: We decide the niches we want. Buff a playstyle, have an anti meta mon, have a certain role in mind, use a particular type of move... Or also, lore ones are also on the table!

Second step: We sub for a chosen winning niche. This time, I'd say we could have new regional forms of existing mons, new cross gen mons (from regional forms like Obstagoon, or not like Ursaluna), or even megas would be on the table!

Sun is already pretty strong with M Charizard Y. Rain is generally strong due to the defensive and offensive strengths it offers among a very varied pool of abusers. Sand is fine on its own between Tyrannitar and M Tyrannitar and can function as anti-meta in VGC, beating M Charizard Y, for instance. Hail is kind of relegated to Trick Room, and with how strong some of the Steel Pokémon are (think of Aegislash and M Mawile), I imagine it wouldn't hurt to make Hail more viable, in whatever form you prefer. Whether it's for Singles or VGC. It could be interesting to have an abuser or more making good use of chip damage, reminiscent of the famous Hail + Ice Body Walrein combo in gen 4, or so I heard.
So, yeah, promote Hail, either for Singles or VGC. It wouldn't hurt to have more than one potential abuser if you desire flexibility and diversity in this archetype. For instance, people could collab or their work contribute to it separately.

  1. Let That Sink In
    • Gravity setter/abuser or something in between.
  2. Old Dog New Tricks
    • Take an older Pokemon that has fallen to the depths (or just isn't very good) and either make a viable money that does the same stuff or an evolution
  3. Gift Box
    • Make a Pokemon that can use a move or two that are almost never used because of it being weak, having bad distribution, or no good users.

I'm gonna post more ideas later.

- Fast, bulky pivot: This is just an archetype I love, be it Crobat or Tornadus-Therian. A pokemon that has Speed and can invest in bulk more easily, and usually ends up having some defensive utility. Think Noivern-Mega from M4A.

I'm just gonna propose a shitpost mon lorewise, or at least a funny one.
Because it's something to win or lose in a mod.
But it's a brand new world when you win because of the power of a shitpost.
(a legitimatly useful shitpost I mean, not just a gimmicky practically useless shitpost)

“One Trick Ponyta” - A mon who only really has one (or two) goals in a match but has the tools to get that goal(s) completed (with reasonable checks of course)

“Coverage BEAST” - a Pokémon designed to have disgustingly strong coverage options but really middling/bad STAB options

I got nothing else atm i’ll be back later though probably

I'll add one niche:
- New move user: Transparent, a viable user of one or more of the new moves (Vocal Strain, Bad Apple, Kindle, Cleansing Wave). Some of them have a low number of viable abusers (especially Kindle and Cleansing Wave), so it might be worth giving them a shot.

Well I think we have enough niches, so now, it's time for Slate 4!

Slate 4: Design a new Pokemon with one or more of the niches below:
  • Hail buff (for Singles or VGC)
  • Let that Sink In : Gravity setter/abuser/in between
  • Old Dog New Tricks : Take an older Pokemon that has fallen to the depths and make a viable mon that does the same stuff, or an evolution, or any mean to make it in a better way.
  • Gift Box : A Pokemon that can use a move or more that are almost never used because of it being weak, having bad distribution, or no good abuser
  • Fast, Bulky pivot
  • Shitpost lore/funny lore Pokemon (that must be still viable or useful)
  • One Trick Ponyta - A mon who only really has one (or two) goals in a match but has the tools to get that goal(s) completed (with reasonable checks of course)
  • Coverage Beast: a Pokémon designed to have disgustingly strong coverage options but really middling/bad STAB options
  • New move user

Now, what do I mean when I say a new Pokemon, what do I mean exactly? Well, kind of free for all, only rule is that it must follow at least one of the niches above! You can design:
  • A brand new Fakemon
  • A regional form of an existing line/Pokemon
  • An evolution of an existing Pokemon like Ursaluna (or an evolution of a regional form, think Obstagoon)
  • A mega evolution of an existing Pokemon (including one of the regional forms from Slate 1 but those ones are tricky ngl)

You can either use a line already existing in current Dex, or even import one! If you do a mega evolution, you are allowed to give some more moves to the base mon, but please be careful in what you give (basically think M4A like for the guidelines).

Let's go!

Gravity Setter + Abuser
Self-explanatory.
New line. Based on a neutron + star, and a system (assemble of a star and surrounding planets).
Name: Systaos (System + Chaos)
Stats
82 HP / 53 Atk / 134 Def / 105 SpA / 76 SpD / 57 Speed | 507 BST
Typing: Psychic / Electric
Abilities: Gravity Station(!) | Flash Fire
Gravity Station summons Gravity for five turns on switch-in.
Notable Moves
Physical:
Sand Tomb
Special: Psychic, Psyshock, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Focus Blast, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Fire Spin, Charge Beam, Flash Cannon, Solar Beam, Earth Power, Heat Wave, Giga Drain
Status: Toxic, Protect, Substitute, Rest, Spikes, Calm Mind, Nasty Plot, Trick, Will-o-Wisp, Thunder Wave, Taunt
Height + Weight: 1.5 meters | 454.5 kilograms
Description: A coalition of neutron-like orbs that gather up to emit psionic and electric energies at their opponents and control gravity. Many orbs are colored purple while a few are colored orange. Around them are several rings with slightly larger orbs, one that is blue, another is red and yet another being green.
Competitive Uses: With Gravity Station, decent Special Attack and unusually high Defense for a Psychic-type, Systaos can make perfectly accurate Thunder, Focus Blast and Heat Wave for five turns, while also grounding Flying-type Pokémon to be hit by the Spikes it set up, as well as a teammate’s Toxic Spikes. It’s high physical bulk allow it to survive Pursuit, and Calm Mind can be used to patch up it’s lower Special Defense. Having no consistant recovery other than Giga Drain means it will get worn down by passive damage.

Pre-Evos Stats, Differences and Evolution Methods
(Pre-Evos does not have Hyper Beam nor Giga Impact by default)

Neutalite (Neutron + Satellite + Lite): 42 HP / 33 Atk / 74 Def / 55 SpA / 46 SpD / 57 Speed | 307 BST
- Heat Wave, Earth Power, Solar Beam, Focus Blast, Taunt, Nasty Plot
Rattled instead of Gravity Station
Evolve into Planano at level 16 or higher.

Planano (Planet + Nano): 62 HP / 43 Atk / 94 Def / 85 SpA / 66 SpD / 57 Speed | 407 BST
- Earth Power, Focus Blast, Taunt, Nasty Plot
Contrary instead of Gravity Station
Evolve into Systaos upon using Gravity twelve times throughout the game.
Hail “buff”
A non-Ice Pokémon that can benefit from Hail and beat up Steel-type opponents.
Based on the white mountain ermines. They are known as ruthless hunters and crafty survivalists.
Name: Ertimenor (Corruption of Ermine + Exterminator)
Stats
55 HP / 102 Atk / 57 Def / 102 SpA / 57 SpD / 90 Speed | 463 BST
Typing: Ground / Fighting
Abilities: Snow Cloak / Slush Rush (!) | Fur Coat
Slush Rush (backported Ability): Double Speed during Hail. Now protects the Pokémon from Hail damage.
Notable Moves
Physical:
Earthquake, Close Combat, Brick Break, Ice Shard, Knock Off, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Mach Punch, Icicle Crash, Icicle Spear, Rock Slide
Special: Ice Beam, Earth Power, Blizzard, Focus Blast, Vacuum Wave, Dazzling Gleam, Surf, Energy Ball
Status: Toxic, Protect, Substitute, Rest, Yawn, Stealth Rock, Swords Dance, Nasty Plot, Switcheroo, Hail, Taunt, Torment
Height + Weight: 1.2 meters (in length) | 34.2 kilograms
Description: A small weasel-like Pokémon with white fur, bruise-like patches and beige markings on it’s ears and tip of their tail. Crafty and ruthless, Ertimenor hunt for rodent Pokémon like Pikachu and Dedenne to take their fur and better immolation during winter times.
Competitive Uses: Ertimanor focuses on providing Hail team a non-Ice member capable of threatening most Steel-type Pokémon such as Mega Mawile and Aegislash thanks to Ground-type STAB, and the combination of Ice, Fighting and Ground coverage means very few can safely switch into it, especially with Yawn in mind. It does have low bulk and an average Speed tier, so it’d want to use Slush Rush for Hail teams or Fur Coat for outside of Hail teams.

Pre-Evo Stats, Differences and Evolution Methods
(Pre-Evos does not have Hyper Beam nor Giga Impact by default)

Glamine (Glagla (sound of cold in French) + Ermine): 35 HP / 75 Atk / 37 Def / 75 SpA / 37 SpD / 55 Speed | 314 BST
- Close Combat, Vacuum Wave, Focus Blast, Double Kick, Blizzard, Icicle Spear, Icicle Crash, Taunt, Torment
- Fighting-type
Evolve into Ertimenor at level 20 or higher.
New Move User (Cleansing Wave + Kindle)
A new Mega Evolution of a Pokémon that also gain access to Kindle, to combine with Scald, and Vocal Strain as it’s once-per-three-turns nuke.
Mega Phione is based on mutation caused by unintended breeding + foreshadowing to Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. Fairy-type is explained as a “primal fae of light”.
Name: Mega Phione (Phione must hold a Phionite)
Stats
80 HP / 110 Atk / 80 Def / 110 SpA / 80 SpD / 120 Speed | 580 BST
Typing: Water / Fairy
Ability: Primal Force
Primal Force: Moves that don’t match any of the user’s types receive a 50% power boost akin to the Same Type Attack Bonus.
Notable Moves
(Bolded means added to base Phione; Play Rough, Vocal Strain and Ice Punch are given to Manaphy)
Physical: Waterfall, Ice Punch, Zen Headbutt, Aqua Jet, U-Turn, Return/Frustration, Knock Off, Bounce, Last Resort, Play Rough
Special:
Vocal Strain, Kindle, Scald, Hydro Pump, Surf, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Icy Wind, Signal Beam, Hidden Power, Grass Knot, Weather Ball, Dazzling Gleam, Moonblast
Status:
Toxic, Protect, Substitute, Rest, Cleansing Wave, Swagger, Sleep Talk, Psych Up, Haze, Helping Hand
Height + Weight: 0.4 meters | 6.4 kilograms
Description: Known as the “Primal Fae of Light”, Mega Phione’s appearance and Mega Stone is rumored to be a result of a phenomenon that occured in another region eons ago. The intense light from Mega Phione’s antenna allows it to use a variety of moves with greater efficiency, at cost of it’s sanity. The bright white neon lines surrounding Phione’s body will occasionally turn bright pink, referring to it’s Fairy-type upon Mega Evolving.
Competitive Uses: There is no reason to use base Phione over Manaphy in tiers Manaphy is allowed, so Mega Phione aim for a more offense oriented counterpart that have less bulk, but more Speed and a better immediate offense presence. While unable to hold an item, it is capable of boosting non-STAB that gives it’s coverage moves, Return / Frustration and Vocal Strain
into pseudo-STABs, which means 50% more power to those. It can also combine Scald + Kindle to threaten Fire-weak opponents, particularly Mega Mawile that hates getting the Burn status as it undermines their Huge Power Ability.

Mega Phione’s base 120 Speed allows it to outspeed important threats like Mega Altaria, both Mega Charizard X + Y, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Pinsir, Mega Medicham, Mega Latios / Latias, and non-Scarf Landorus-Therian, Latios / Latias, Keldeo, Kyurem-Black, Garchomp, Zapdos and more, but it’s still slow enough to be revenge killed by faster Pokémon, among Mega Evolution being Mega Alakazam (who can even copy Primal Force via Trace!) and Mega Beedrill, and hates getting hit by a Bad Apple which is a Grass-type move that is super effective against Fairy-type.
Old Dog New Tricks
A Bug-type dead on arrival now evolve further to keep up with even the new metagame threats.
Based on ladybugs, sentai heroes and close combat shonen heroes.
Evolved from a Ledian that has defeated a total of five Pokémon measuring two meters or taller throughout the game.
Name: Ledellar (Corruption of Ladybug + Stellar)
Stats
75 HP / 120 Atk / 60 Def / 60 SpA / 110 SpD / 110 Speed | 535 BST
Typing: Bug / Fighting
Abilities: Illuminate / Mold Breaker | Iron Fist
Notable Moves
Physical:
Close Combat, Mach Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Mantis Fists (!), U-Turn, Focus Punch, Knock Off, Brick Break, Bad Apple, Drain Punch
Mantis Fists: Bug-type, 15 PP (max 24), 40 BP, —% Acc.; hit twice in one turn. Bypass accuracy check. Fist-based and contact-based, but ignores contact-delibtating mechanics like Iron Barbs.
This move may be given to other Pokémon, but initial distribution is Ledellar only.
Special: Infestation
Status: Toxic, Protect, Substitute, Rest, Swords Dance, Bulk Up, Reflect, Light Screen, Tailwind, Encore, Roost, Agility, Helping Hand, Defog, Follow Me
Height + Weight: 2.1 meters | 77.7 kilograms
Description: With their fists becoming even more sturdy and destructive, Ledellar’s single punch can break apart a diamond. Quick successions of their punches will eventually break even Tyranitar’s armor, a feat that was once considered as impossible. Much taller than Ledian, bigger fists and a more slender eyes that gives an impression of a frowning and serious face.
Competitive Uses: Unlike similar concepts of Ledian fan evolutions, Ledellar focuses on both offense and support, the latter which was attempted by Ledian but the latter was let down by their bad defensive typing and an atrocious stat distribution. This Ledellar can be used as a set-up sweeper, or as an offense pivot that provides Reflect and / or Light Screen then U-Turn once it has done. This is also true in VGC thanks to access of the above moves, Tailwind and Follow Me. Mantis Fists allows it for Bug-type STAB thay also benefits from Iron Fist, though Mold Breaker may be preferable in Single Battles.

Their high Special Defense allows Ledellar to survive a few Special hits, especially if equipping Assault Vest, to the point even a Psychic from a non-special Pokémon (not a Mega nor Legendary-level) would not take it down in one hit, unlike most other Fighting-type Pokémon that does not have the secondary Dark-type. Bad Apple also heavily discourage Fairy-type switch-ins, but 4MSS means the player has to choose between Bad Apple or a non-STAB fist move like Thunder Punch. It’s low physical bulk leaves it prone to be revenge killed by physical opponents as well.

Name: Snorlax-Kalos :snorlax:
Type: Fighting
Abilities: Bulletproof / Thick Fat / Scrappy (HA)
New move: Drain Punch (already has an insane movepool)
Pokemon Protester
Kalos has a long time tradition for protestations, revolutions and in general the people not happy with the government. Snorlax, a pokemon whose habit is to block roads, has become with time a living symbol of this tradition.
Bulletproof is here to block blast balls, used in Kalos against protesters. Scrappy is not only here because it became a fighting type used in rebellions : it's also because when you don't have enough money for your beer, you are not afraid by ghosts.

Competitive aspect:
Well, Snorlax is in UU in gen 6, so it doesn't seem to need overpowered stuff.
It's new fighting type, combined with Scrappy, helps it to run Curselax sets with one offensive move.
Being a fighting type means it will be more "extreme" in its matchups: easier to counter steel types for example, but it will struggle much more against psychic (especially with Psyshock before any Curse) and fairy types.
Technically both a shitpost lore and kind of a "old dog new tricks" if we consider Snorlax as too old for OU.

Name:Tardrucker (form Tardigrade and Michel Drucker)
Height: 10 cm Weight: 1kg
Type:Water/Rock
Stats: 90/5/200/5/200/5 (505 total)
Abilities: Sturdy / Water Absorb (HA)
Notable moves : Rest, Guard Split (lol), Substitute, Baton Pass
Useless moves : Venoshock, Sludge Wave, Cross Poison, Boomburst, Return, Frustration, Double-Edge, Celebrate, Defense Curl, Explosion, Extreme Speed, Facade, Giga Impact, Guillotine, Hyper Voice, Last Resort, Mega Kick, Me First, Retaliate, Self-Destuct, Shell Smash, Endure, Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Sandstorm, Aqua Tail, Brine, Hydro Pump, Surf, Water Spout, Crabhammer, Eruption, Fire Blast, Flare Blitz, Flamethrower, Overheat, Energy Ball, Leaf Blade, Leaf Storm, Petal Dance, Power Whip, Solar Beam, Wood Hammer, Electro Ball, Thunderbolt, Wild Charge, Volt Tackle, Earth Power, Earthquake, Magnitude, Acrobatics, Air Slash, Brave Bird, Sky Attack, Head Smash, Power Gem, Rock Blast, Rock Slide, Rock Throw, Ancient Power, Rock Wreaker, Rollout, Smack Down, Stone Edge, Bug Bite, Bug Buzz, Fell Stinger, Fury Cutter, Leech Life, Megahorn, Pin Missile, Signal Beam, Silver Wind, X-Scissor, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Ice Shard, Icicle Crash, Shadow Ball, Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, Phantom Force, Dark Pulse, Sucker Punch, Pursuit, Crunch, Outrage, Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Psychic, Future Sight, Psyshock, Dazzling Gleam, Play Rough, Bullet Punch, Gyro Ball, Iron Head, Flash Cannon, Meteor Mash, Close Combat, Superpower, Focus Miss Blast, Cross Chop, Focus Punch, High Jump Kick

No Attract because you cannot be attracted by Michel Drucker.
THIS POKEMON IS NOT AN ORIGINAL CONCEPT. It is in fact a fakemon already presented by l'Ermite Moderne in this video.
Tardrucker is a fossil pokemon, based on a tardigrade and Michel Drucker, a french TV host known for his almost absurd longevity on television.
(this longevity is so insane that the joke of Tardrucker existed already in 2013 and still works in 2025)
It was combined with a tardigrade, an animal also known for its almost comically high resistance to almost anything.
The stupidely powerful type coverage is here only for the joke of having one of the best coverage movepools ever, but absolutely no reason to use it. I didn't gave it any move with more than 10% chance of inflincting a status just in case.

Competitive aspect:
Technically it's both a shitpost and a one trick Ponyta: it wants to never die, no matter how hard you try, and use Rest when you have hopes to do it.
With such a high tankiness, being passive is necessary because it would be used everywhere otherwise (just a move like Toxic ou Seismic Toss would be terrifying). So, being unable to do anything else than just saying "I refuse to die" can still have its uses. Water Absorb is in fact an interesting tool against Rain, making it able to stall rain turns with no problem at all, but yet again, you cannot do anything too, so don't abuse it.

Wring Out my beloved

Stats:

A highly affectionate Pokemon, Hugfish will hug anything it sees. It seems blissfully unaware of its target's attempts to escape.
This Pokemon is covered in thick, sticky slime that renders its hugs inescapable. It gets along well with Goodra.

Hugfish is primarily designed as a Gift Box for Wring Out. It also has Brine, another underutilized move that pairs well with Wring Out, though realistically it'll probably just run Scald. It's also got Cleansing Wave, for what it's worth.

I'll make full movepools for them if they win
I'll also make prevos for some of them if they win
I'll also make stronger flavor for them if they win

:sv/dracozolt:
Name: Tundzolt (Tundra + Zolt)
Typing: Electric
Abilities: Volt Absorb / Ice Body // Quick Feet
Stats: 100/75/110/100/80/65 (BST: 530)

:sv/appletun:
Name: Applwirm (Apple + Worm)
Typing: Ground/Bug
Abilities: Hustle // Katabatic Winds (If Gravity is active, this Pokemon is immune to Flying-type moves.)
Stats: 80/115/95/60/80/110 (BST: 540)
Weight: 1.4 kg
Full Movepool: Acid Spray, Acrobatics, Astonish, Attract, Bug Buzz, Bulldoze, Bullet Seed, Defense Curl, Dig, Drill Run, Earth Power, Earthquake, Endeavor, Endure, Facade, Giga Impact, Grav Apple (ported back w/, Gravity, Hyper Beam, Infestation, Ingrain, Iron Head, Leech Life, Lunge, Megahorn, Mud Bomb, Mud Shot, Mud-Slap, Protect, Quick Attack, Rage Powder, Recycle, Rest, Rock Slide, Rollout, Round, Sand Attack, Sleep Talk, Snore, Solar Beam, Spikes, Stealth Rock, Stomping Tantrum, Stone Edge, String Shot, Substitute, Sunny Day, Taunt, Toxic, U-Turn, Withdraw
Description: Resub from Iron Fist/Secret Santa. Set Gravity, now you're immune to Flying, Megahorn is more accurate, EQ can hit Ground-types, and Grav Apple hits a lot harder. Anyone who submits a Gravity on switch in ability is boring (jk, its fine, just not as interesting).

:sv/crawdaunt:
Name: Crawnish (Brutish + Crawdaunt + Crawn)
Typing: Water/Dark
Abilities: Hyper Cutter / Shell Armor // Adaptability
Stats: 83/125/105/95/65/50 (BST: 523)
Weight: 54.5 kg
Movepool Additions: Clamp, Hydro Pump, Memento, Muddy Water, Torment, Trick Room
Description: Crawdaunt evo that becomes way beefier and hits a bit harder. It also gets Trick Room. Crawdaunt has the lovely niche of blowing people up with a large bomb. Crawnish does this but more.

:sv/charjabug:
Name: Motoroll (Roll + Rollypolly + Motor)
Typing: Steel/Electric
Abilities: Rolling Stone (Slow Start but SpA instead of Att)
Stats: 130/85/105/105/85/105 (BST: 615)
Weight: 270.0 kg
Movepool: Roleplay, Rapid Spin, Gyro Ball, Iron Head, Flash Cannon, Wild Charge, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Thunder Wave, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Gunk Shot, Rollout, Overheat, Rollout, Iron Defense, Bug Buzz, Steamroller, U-Turn, Lunge, Bulk Up, Volt Tackle
Description: Roleplay to dispose of Slow Start + huge stats + pivoting + Rapid Spin

:sv/floatzel:
Name: Floatzel-Mega
Typing: Water
Abilities: Water Veil
Stats: 85/125/85/85/90/125 (+0/+20/+30/+0/+40/+10)
Weight: 43.5 kg
Movepool Additions: Block, Cleansing Wave, Heal Pulse, Superpower, U-Turn
Description: 85/85/90 bulk + hazard removal and pivoting + 125 speed + 125 Att which beats out Greninja + Water Veil for burn immunity since Burn is very strong this gen.

:sv/feraligatr:
Name: Investigator (Investigator + Alligator)
Typing: Water/Psychic
Abilities: Inner Focus / Keen Eye // Sleuth (If this Pokemon hits a Pokemon with an attack, its moves will always hit the target until they switch out.)
Stats: 118/60/70/87/90/100 (BST: 525)
Weight: 76.9 kg
Movepool: Hypnosis, Waterfall, Hydro Pump, Surf, Psychic, Psyshock, Trick, Lock-On, Odor Sleuth, Zen Headbutt, Crunch, Aqua Tail, Whirlpool, Muddy Water, Future Sight
Description: 100 speed Sleuth with Psychic, then hit with Hydro Pump or Hypnosis 100% of the time. They have the counterplay of just switching out and Investigator has fairly low defense. The numbers in its stats that don't end in zero put together to make 1887 which is the year Sherlock Holmes came out. Also the name Investigator lmao.

:sv/gengar:
Name: Malitch (Malice + Litch)
Typing: Ghost/Poison
Abilities: Cursed Body // Magic Bounce
Stats: 105/75/80/85/90/100 (BST: 535)
Weight: 40.4 kg
Movepool: Stealth Rock, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Memento, Explosion, Light Screen, Reflect, Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Sludge, Phantom Force, Poison Jab, Swords Dance, Toxic, Will-O-Wisp, Torment, Magic Coat
Description: Suicide lead. Enters battle, spews your choice of hazards, screens, & utility, then dies.

:sv/steelix:
Name: Automent (Automation + Element)
Typing: Steel/Electric
Abilities: Plus / Water Absorb // Light Metal
Stats: 60/110/120/60/90/80 (BST: 520)
Weight: kg
Movepool: Iron Head, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Discharge, Waterfall, Aqua Tail, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Lunge, Dragon Tail, Iron Tail, Coil, Crunch, Bite, Superpower, Low Sweep, Seed Bomb, Surf, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Hydro Pump, Energy Ball, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Flare Blitz, Icicle Crash, Calm Mind, Ice Fang, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Stealth Rock, Glare
Description: Physical attacking Electric, but it has coverage to hit everything. It does get Thunder Fang, but are you really running Thunder Fang over any of its insane coverage?

:sv/magcargo:
Name: Snaisland (Snail + Island)
Typing: Fire/Rock
Abilities: Magma Armor / Flame Body // Weak Armor
Stats: 70/60/140/95/90/45 (BST: 500)
Weight: 110.0 kg
Movepool Additions: Magma Chamber (Rock, Special, 100 bp, 100 acc, 8 pp, Removes the target's Fire-typing.), Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave
Description: Big tank. Flame Body + WoW + Lava Plume for mass burn spreading. Rock-typing can be used to blow up Fire-types and Magma Chamber hits really hard but can only hit Fire-types super effective once, however, you can then burn them. Kindle also hits hard while spreading burn. Also doesn't burn deal 1/8 damage in this gen? That makes Kindle a lot stronger than one may think.

Behold: a pair of Gravity Setters!

Despite their shared typing and similar movepools, Mega Solrock and Mega Lunatone end up exploiting Gravity in pretty different ways. Solrock mainly benefits offensively, greatly appreciating the boosted accuracy of Stone Edge, Zen Headbutt, and Fire Blast, while also boosting its utility with Will-O-Wisp. Lunatone gets some offensive benefit with Stone Edge and Blizzard, but the main attraction is perfectly accurate Hypnosis.

With some more time going, I decided to put some review on some potentially redundant / too weak / too strong submissions.

I understand it’s supposed to be both funni and usable, but the type and stat distribution makes it way too similar to Shuckle conceptually. It can keep the Abilities as-is, but you should change one of it’s type to make it overlap less with Shuckle as XY/ORAS does not have Dexit in effect.

:sv/floatzel:
Name: Floatzel-Mega
Typing: Water
Abilities: Water Veil
Stats: 85/105/85/85/110/125 (+0/+0/+30/+0/+60/+10)
Weight: 43.5 kg
Movepool Additions: Block, Cleansing Wave, Heal Pulse, Superpower, U-Turn
Description: 85/85/110 bulk + hazard removal and pivoting + 125 speed + Water Veil for burn immunity since Burn is very strong this gen.
I do not think the added bulk alone will suffice to make it viable, as non-Mega Pokémon can go faster or hit harder by virtue of holding any item other than a Mega Stone. You have a good justification for Water Veil so you may keep it. Move some Special Defense into Attack (around 120) so that it can be a good alternative to Greninja by virtue of higher Attack and immunity of Burn. This allows Mega Floatzel to maintain it’s role as a fast, bulky pivot while actually boosting it’s higher stat like most Mega Evolution do.

I lumped these two together since they have a similar scenario to Mawile and Sableye. Not a bad thing, mind you, but what gives Mega Mawile and Mega Sableye such an edge are great defensive type, and very helpful stat distribution that back up their Ability (Huge Power and Magic Bounce respectively).

I doubt Mega Solrock and Mega Lunatone would make a significant impact on their own, so it would not worth using a Mega Stone slot for any of the two just for setting up the highly helpful Gravity. Mega Charizard Y, one with Drought, not only has a learnset helpful for it, but also has stats to back itself up.

Thusly, if you want your two Megas concept to be viable in anywhere but PU / NU, I’d advice to boost their lower Defense instead of boosting their lower Attack. This means less SpA and more SpD for Solrock, and less Atk and more Def for Lunatone. This way, they have enough bulk to make up for their awkard defensive type.

Now that we are in the new month, the slate is now closed and you can start voting. Here's where the submissions start: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threa...new-fakemon-with-niches.3754885/post-10432875

To quote Selene's words on how voting works:

It will work as it did in V2 - place your three favorite subs in order, from your favorite to your least favorite - 1st place will give that submission three points, 2nd place two points, and 3rd place one point.. You are allowed to vote for your own submission, but not to put yourself in first place.
The 5 submissions that receive the highest votes will win.
Voting will last for 2 days!
