Double Alias Mafia is a new concept. Brain was the first one to post it, and I thought of it seperately at one time...great minds think alike.
Like many games, mostly big ones, players will be assigned an anonymous alias to play under in addition to their own Smogon name. However, unlike full anonymous games, a game of 25 people would not consist of 25 anonymous names. Instead, it will consist of 25 anonymous names, and 25 smogon players. Both of these can be targeted, lynched and everything. This essentially gives every player two lives. Two different forms of playing merged together.
So to counteract the player list being twice as big as a usual small game, there will be more deaths at night. There will also be two lynches: one on the anonymous forums, and one on the Smogon forums. I'll update on only the Smogon forums just to have most of it in one place. I'll explain other details later.
This game, perhaps unlike Greatest Hits and Blindness Mafia, is a pretty serious effort. I think it will be a lot of fun, but it is also highly experimental. Go ahead and be creative in your strategies!
