Crud, I guess I'll have to actually explore outside Stark Mountain. :P I haven't even gone up it at all yet.

The level guy gave me a stupid black belt though and I still want my focus sash. Apparently save/reset only changes the level, not what you get? :(

The first time you do it he gives black belt, 2nd he gives expert, and 3rd he gives focus sash, then it repeats.

Thank you, and that's very irritating, I should have started a while back. I needs my focus sash for haxing the battle tower. :P

Staraptor is holding Life Orb.
Staraptor uses U-Turn. It takes Life Orb damage, then switches out.

Staraptor is not holding Life Orb.
Azelf is holding Life Orb.
Staraptor uses U-Turn. Switches to Azelf. No Life Orb damage.

The foe duskull used shadow sneak. Critical hit!
[ninjask] used U-turn. It's not very effective. [ninjask] restored a little HP using shell bell. *I get to choose a pokemon*

So, presumably, not, though I didn't test further or u-turn to a damaged pokemon.

Based on this, I am assuming that only those things that occur after the move has completely finished are affected by the new item... so choice band, which forces the pokemon to use the move used last turn, locks in (normally, the last turn has a switch only, which would lock the move), and flinching also doesn't get determined until the hit pokemon's turn comes up, I assume. It would be interesting to see if Metronome (the item) boosts the power of U-turn if used by the pokemon that is U-turned to.

Has anyone done any tests on Wish yet? It seems to be rather erratic in how it works. It doesn't work if your wisher dies and then you send out a Pokemon to receive the wish it seems. I'm probably not very clear on this but I had a battle where it was used 3 times and only once it actually healed a Pokemon...

Also, again I don't know if this is known/ever existed, intimidate works on whoever moves/selects a move fastest.

Say it is Blissey vs Gardevoir

The gardy user switches to Mence (selects it first) and the Blissey user switches to Garchomp. Mence comes out first, uses Intimidate on Blissey, then Garchomp is sent out to face mence, with normal attack.

When your Pokemon gets KO'd, the replacement Pokemon is sent out at the very end of the turn. If Wish is supposed to activate on that turn, it fails since you have no active Pokemon. You can't use Wish if you had used Wish on the previous turn since that one hasn't resolved yet. I can't really think of any other reasons that would cause it to fail.

From the first post:

Download- This trait raises Attack or Special Attack depending on what is the weakest defense stat of the Pokemon it switches in on. If Defense is higher, Special Attack is raised; if Special Defense is higher, Attack is raised.

This does not count as an official stat-up, so it stacks with other stat-ups of the same category, like Sharpen or Scheme, to allow you technically go over the limit of 4x stats.

Just noticed that this still hasn't been changed. It DOES count as an official stat-up and will not let you break the 4x limit on stats.

If your max HP is an odd number, is the damage lost by a Belly Drum rounded up or rounded down?

For example, if your max HP is 301, would a Pokemon using Belly Drum end up with 150HP or 151HP?

not that it would help you much, but tested this on emerald,

poliwag 103 HP belly drummed to 52 HP, which means it got rounded down

If you use Natural Gift with Salac Berry, the berry is used up. Does it provide the speed boost?

I can confirm that Belly Drum's "damage" is rounded down in D/P. So, if you want that Sitrus Berry to activate, you need to have even HP.

EDIT: Also confirmed that using a pinch berry for Natural Gift does not give you the benefit of the berry.

Repost from the Ability descriptions topic on the DP Analysis board:

Slow Start can be Skill Swaped away in English versions of DP. Regigigas's speed returns to normal. I'm not sure how this will apply in Wi-Fi battles between English and Japanese games. The English rules will probably be used.

Regarding Filter:
Lv25 Mime Jr. - 30 Def
Lv30 Chimecho - 44 Atk
Astonish

18 damage

Expected damage without Filter: 22-28

Filter doesn't half damage. It's probably reduces damage by 33% like Solid Rock.

I don't know if it's anything big, but Serebii didn't say this.

Chimchar gets Bulk Up as an egg move.

Chimchar can learn Bulk Up by TM. That's why you can breed Bulk Up onto it.

I have discovered the hard way that Lightningrod draws your partner's Electric attacks in 2v2. This was not the case in Advance.

EDIT: Lightningrod does not draw Discharge because it's not a targetable move. I figured this would be the case, but I tested it to be sure. *grumble, grumble* ...waste of a perfectly good Thunderbolt TM... *mumble, grumble*

Got that off of a guide on gamefaqs if you were wondering. I've had this for probably a year saved on my comp, so I couldn't tell you which one.
