E3 2011 Conferences Thread

The main problem with Microsoft's is that it was showing stuff we already knew.
MW3 looked good if you like CoD but no better than MW2, Tomb Raider looked great and was probably the high point in the conference though the release date is a bummer, ME3 and GOW3 also looked really good but we've known about both for a while. Halo: CE remake rumors have been circling about for almost a year and were pretty much confirmed a couple of months ago if I remember correctly, and no one should be surprised that they're making Halo 4 to come out the next year (now that the series is in Microsoft's hands, expect a title every year or two!).
Fable is going to be a Kinect on-rails shooter (lol), Star Wars looked absolutely terrible, and then they started appealing to the "casual" gamer who's never even heard of E3.
The worst part about the conference is that it might have confirmed that there won't be an Xbox "720" next year. If Project Cafe is coming out late next year, supposedly Microsoft was going to try their hardest to premier their system at the same time even if they had to rush it. But, with no announcements, hints, or anything about it, it's highly unlikely for it to come out so soon. November of 2013? Yikes.

I think you mean Nintendo's 2008 conference. 2009 gave us New Super Mario Bros Wii, Galaxy 2, and Other M as the big titles. 2008 had... Wii Sports resort and Animal Crossing.

The general dislike for the kinect hogging the spotlight stems largely from the games shown with it, it doesn't really matter if people predicted that they would focus on it again or not. It's like they're comfortable with putting crap on the Kinect and showing it off, which is ridiculous if your a serious company. If anything they should be more pissed, especially because they've done this twice now and AGAIN showcased an array of mostly stupid ass games while the games people care about took the back seat.
But I guess I can't speak for everybody, so...
EA is kicking ass but frankly I'm tired of all this hyper realism stuff and FPSs everywhere

Why would that be announced at a Microsoft or EA conference? It's a game by Square Enix for a Nintendo system...
I actually feel totally opposite about Ubisoft so far. I don't really dig the, I dunno...supposed to be kind of like real life shooters in real life environments and blah blah. I like my shooters to have imagination in the world, enemies, and characters created. Surviving in the jungle against terrorist groups who sell weapons of mass destruction has just been done too many times, even though Far Cry is kind of cool. The only thing that Ubisoft has excited me with so far is (obviously) the new Assassin's Creed.

Well Furious Four looks awful.
Microsoft already lost. There are only 2 games that I'm going to get; Halo 4 and Halo Custom Evolved Remake
It's a shame there have never been good movie-tie-in video games. Ever.
Except Finding Nemo. That game was the bee's knees and was hard as hell.
