I thought the announcement said they were also on PS3 but I haven't really heard more of it. I wouldn't be surprised by FFXV hitting Xbox One.

Nintendo's conference was very strong and has not disappointed me in the slightest, even Sony's had its rough patches. E3 as a whole has really caught me off guard with KH3 and Megaman in Smash, both things I said wouldn't happen, happening and Fairy confirmation to top it all of. Hoping the Pokemon conference doesn't decrease my enjoyment so far.

I'm excited for so many Nintendo titles, I hope I can gather up the cash for PS4+WiiU (where was the WiiU price drop). Wind Waker HD is beautiful and since I haven't played the original it's definitely worth my investment. Dream Team actually reminds me of PiT+BiS the most but I hope it trumps both of those, looks very good so far.
 
Ok, so I dont think Fairy type is as bad as everyone thinks, it's just new. I dont think it'll have too much of an impact except here in competitive where it wont necessarily be a bad change, it could be really interesting, especially as it is super effective on dragon (why, god knows) All in all I think we should keep an open mind on this, it could end up being quite good.

Also, Fairy-type... confirmed! It seems pretty cool tbh, but it better not end up having a Dragon immunity... >:(
 
I thought WWHD looked really ugly on the screen actually, way too blurry, I believe the word is 'bloom'?? I heard it looked really nice irl though. I'd be shocked if they managed to fuck up a beautiful game like WW. Sounds like the improvements they added ('tempo') were much-needed, WW is one of my favourite games ever but the complaints against it are mostly kinda warranted.

Too bad I'm probably not getting a Wii U because they're apparently not putting Kingdom Hearts 3 on it, and I'm not buying a console just for a Zelda remake at this point. :( I barely played my Wii, I need to get some used games (lol!!) for it.

*crying because kingdom hearts 3*

ETA: oh yeah the other thing they forgot about was Professor Layton x Ace Attorney. They didn't show that in the third-party lineup!! Level-5 deconfirmed that for the west sometime ago, I was praying for a reconfirm. But they didn't even show AA5, which is coming out this September and is a bigger deal, so meh.

So far fairy type is not only FAR from bad, could the the best thing that's happened to competitive pkmn since dark/steel types in gsc. We all know how broken is Dragon-type...

Fairy is obviously designed as an Anti-Dragon type. My main worry atm is that, especially because of the rumors, it sounds like such a great offensive typing that it would just because the "next Dragon".

It seems like they're giving it to relatively bad Pokemon though. I could see Gardevoir becoming an excellent OU Pokemon, but part of what makes dragon so insanely strong is that a lot of the dragons have excellent stats to boot.

Well we've only seen 4. Gardevoir has some legit stats and Azumarill would really benefit from a physical Fairy STAB. Slyveon could be good depending on what its base stats are, similar to Jolteon can work out very well. Adding Fairy to random mons can add loads of strong offensive options, just imagine if the new Mewtwo were Psychic/Fairy.

Just pray for no Dragon/Fairy pokemon.

btw Theorymon did some calcs and it looks like Fairy Wind is 60 BP. That could make Fairy Wind similar to Ominous Wind/Ancientpower.
 
Dragon sounds badass and manly. It was always meant to be an OP and an Exclusive typing (just look at the ubers and name the most common type). It's perfectly deserving of the Strongth type title.
I don't think my logic can handle fairy holding a similar mantle.

And I'm okay with it being SE v/s Dragon (no idea WHY though) but being immune to dragon sounds a nonsense deal breaker to me (hope it's just a stupid rumor)

I think the most likely candidate at this point is Altaria. I don't think that'd be too broken on that. But if /Fairy was given to like a Salamence or something (god knows why) I could see it.
 
Oh my lord at Super Mario 3D World, I am so fucking excited for that! Super Mario 3D Land was a damn good game with an amazing concept for 3D Mario (linear 3D Mario that has 2D Mario mechanics), but it felt a bit undercooked mechanically and level design wise, especially with all those repeating levels. This is because SM3DL had a rather rushed dev cycle.

From what I saw of that trailer, this game already looks quite improved. I see a lot more variety in level design, mutliplayer looks fun, Cat Mario looks like a great and unique sort of replacement for "flying" that fits 3D Mario, and Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad playing differently is something Mario has sorely needed to return for a long time! Finally, level design wise, I noticed that the stages seem to be FAR bigger than SM3DL's, so this game might have a lot more exploration stuff. The smaller levels also seemed to have more interesting concepts than Super Mario 3D Land's sometimes bland level design. In particular, I liked that level with the rising death trap looking creatures, and seeing the Goomba's Ice Skate made me laugh!

Overall, I wouldn't be shocked if this was 3D Mario's New Super Mario Bros Wii: aka, a MUCH improved sequel to the portable original!

Edit: Something I forgot to mention: The great part about Cat Mario is that it fixes a problem linear 3D Mario has had. Flying power ups would be extremely broken in those (though tbh I can see Nintendo making levels designed around it working in 3DW so far), its the reason Tanooki was nerfed so hard in 3D Land (granted it was still sorta broken there). Cat Mario is perfect, it means that there's a way to sorta "fly" up walls without breaking level design too much! Also, this gives me hope that the game has less of the "boring floating platforms in space" issues that some 3D Land levels have!
 
nintendo didn't do a good job on selling me a wii u lol. i already have wind waker (so what if it has better graphics...) and super smash bros is on 3ds, which might be a better platform for it for casual matches, though i will give it the fact that party matches won't be as wieldy on the 3ds. so far the only ones that would drive me toward the wiiu is pikmin and rayman, but i haven't played games from either franchise so i'd have to try it before i buy it.
 
you nerds don't know whats good

fairy automatically claims best type because its going to include all of the fat pink normals which are all amazing
