OU Excadrill

You should add Substitute to moveset 1's last move, like that: move 4: Rapid Spin / Swords Dance / Substitute
It's good to beat Bisharp's Sucker Punch, make Rotom-W miss Hydro Pump (or fail WoW/Pain Split), scout the opponent's move or get momentum when the opponent is sending something to die.

slash jolly with adamant as jolly has some nice benefits in outspeeding adamant zard x, trace gardevoir and other pokemon which tries to speed creep on it. it should then also be noted that jolly works best with lo because without lo with jolly nature the attack drop is very noticable.

Had that Originally but Jukain told me to get rid of it so I made it OO

in other options or just in mentions you can say "jolly can be run to outspeed opposing excadrill but is otherwise meh" obviously word it better lol

Erm while I know it's nowhere near as common as it used to be, shouldn't conkeldurr be quite high on the checks list? Exca can't KO w/out boosting while conk can either Mach punch it out of the way or take the hit and recover most if not all of it's HP through Drain Punch thanks to Exca's pretty high base HP.

Thought it was already in... Added.

So this has been kinda just sitting there for quite a while now which leads me to believe that this is pretty much finished. I'd like to get the 3rd QC so I can move onto GP and get this done.

Jukain mind giving this it's last check please?

In the overview, i would add that Excadrill has common weaknesses to Ground, Fighting, Fire, and Water, that make it harder to set up and easier to check.

When talking about Iron Head, mention how it's Excadrill's best bet against Gliscor, Landorus-T, and Landorus, all important Excadrill checks.

In the set details of the first set, mention a Jolly nature to outspeed or speed tie at worst with opposing Excadrill, as well as outspeed Pokemon such as neutral natured base 100s (Manaphy, Mega Gardevoir, Charizard X, Charizard Y, Mega Medicham), Jolly Mamoswine, and Pokemon aiming to Speed creep Adamant Excadrill (don't mention the last one) outside of sand.

Under usage tips, i would mention some Pokemon that Excadrill can switch into relatively easily, such as Clefable, Chansey, Magnezone, and Raikou.

Add Latios, Latias, and Celebi as teammates, all of them check Pokemon that Excadril has troubles with and vice-versa.

In the team options section of the Scarf set, add partners to take care of the Pokemon that can set up on Scarf Excadrill.

In Other Options, mention a Mold Breaker + Swords Dance set + Leftovers, to get past Quagsire, and act as a decent hard hitter capable of spinning against stall. With those status immunities and SR resistance, Excadrill is very resilient against stall. Also, a bulky SR + Rapid Spin set with some HP and SpD investent to check Thundurus and Clefable is worthy of an OO mention.

Finally, elaborate and enrich your checks and counters section. Rotom-W is not a physical wall for example, and there are many checks and counters you have missed, such as Slowbro, Celebi, defensive Mega Scizor, and Chesnaught.

Do those and i will stamp this.

In the team options section of the Scarf set, add partners to take care of the Pokemon that can set up on Scarf Excadrill.
You didn't do this, nor did you mentioned Latios, Latias, and Celebi as partners for the Scarf set.

Also, you didn't mention that Jolly on the first set is helpful to speed tie at worst with opposing Excadrill, which can be very useful if your team is Excadrill weak.

Finally, explain how each of the Pokemon in the checks and counters fares against Excarill. For example, in the section of physical walls you mention that all of those Pokemon wall Excadrill all day long, which isn't true because Celebi, Tangrowth, and Mega Scizor without Superpower lose to the SD set if Excadrill uses SD as they come in.

Oh, you also missed physically defensive Hippowdon as a counter to Excadrill.

I will wait for you to add these stuff and write up OO and then i will give you the stamp. Tag me when you are done.

alexwolf I (think) I got everything this time. I added hippo, changed c&c to mention sciz, celebi, and tangrowth losing to sd, mentioned jolly and slashed it. also, i added in team options for scarf. i do have one question, however:
You didn't do this, nor did you mentioned Latios, Latias, and Celebi as partners for the Scarf set.
What exactly should I mention for these two? I havent used the scarf set in a good while and I dont remember anything notable that they would help with since excadrill is meant to remove hazards, and rotom loses to mold breaker eq. breloom, i guess? not disagreeing, but i just dont really know what to put.

Forgot about Mold Breaker EQ taking care of Rotom-W, but Lati@s are still nice to take care of checks to Scarf Excadrill such as Landorus-T, Skarmory, Slowbro, Gliscor, etc, though i guess it would be nice to have a check to Scarf Lando-T too. Whatever, add them if you think they have good enough synergy, i will leave this one up to you.

Overview
########
After being unbanned in Generation VI, Excadrill has taken the OU Metagame by storm. Having Access to Sand Rush allows him (this is allowed, but make sure to be incredibly consistent with it, also in relative pronouns etc.) to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame when sand is up. This, along with his incredible base 135 Attack stat, makes him a scary threatening revenge killer and / or late-game (add hyphen) cleaner. On top of all this, Excadrill gets the coveted Rapid Spin, which removes entry hazards on your side of the field while simultaneously keeping yours up. Combined with a Steel / Ground (add spaces) typing that has provides him with a 4x resistance to Stealth Rocks, Excadrill is one of the best hazard removers available. (remove blank lines) However, not all is well for while the mole. He sports a great HP stat, but it’s this is offset by his low 60 / 65 (add spaces) defenses, which severely limits the amount of hits he can take. Combined with a weakness to common priority moves in Aqua Jet and Mach Punch, Excadrill needs to have his checks gone before attempting a sweep. Common weaknesses to in Ground, Fire, Fighting, and Water also (redundant with 'even more') limit his setup (one word) opportunities even more and make checking him outside of sand much easier. Finally, a base 88 Speed stat is pretty slow average ('slow speed' is a contamination) by OU standards, meaning that he Excadrill needs either sand support or a Choice Scarf to be truly effective. Speaking of sand support, (stylistically inappropriate) Moreover, Tyranitar, Excadrill’s Excadrill's favorite teammate due to Sand Stream, shares some of the same (redundant with 'shares') weaknesses with him such as Ground, Water, and Fighting. All in all though, Excadrill is a top tier threat that every good team should be prepared for. (avoid contentless closures please)

Sand Rush Sweeper
########
name: Sand Rush Sweeper
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Iron Head
move 3: Rock Slide
move 4: Rapid Spin / Swords Dance
ability: Sand Rush
item: Air Balloon / Life Orb
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
nature: Adamant / Jolly

Moves
========
Earthquake is the most important STAB on this set Excadrill's primary STAB move, as it sports great power and coverage. STAB Iron Head allows Excadrill to hit Fairies such as Clefable, Mega Gardevoir, and Sylveon super effectively, while also being his best option against the likes of Landorus-T and Gliscor, common Excadrill checks, as well as other Pokémon Pokemon immune to Earthquake. Rock Slide gives forms the pseudo-EdgeQuake (add hyphen) coverage with Earthquake, allowing you Excadrill to hit Flying-types (add hyphen) such as Talonflame and Mega Pinsir super effectively. The fourth moveslot should be based on what your team needs. If you need entry hazard control, Rapid Spin is the superior choice. However, if you already have a form of hazard control, Swords Dance is an option that allows you to sweep teams late-game (add hyphen).

Set Details
========
The EVs are straightforward. Maximum Speed investment with an Adamant nature is used to Speed tie opposing Excadrill at worse worst. If that isn’t isn't an issue, however, an alternate spread of 52 HP / 252 Atk / 204 Spe can be used to outspeed Choice Scarfed base 110s Speed Pokemon. Regardless, Attack should be maximized to hit as hard as possible. An Air Balloon allows Excadrill to switch into predicted Earthquakes, as well as have a safety net against opposing Excadrill. If that isn’t isn't needed, then a Life Orb can be used to greatly increase his Excadrill's power output. Additionally, a Jolly Nature is an option to outspeed neutral-natured (add hyphen) base 100s Speed Pokemon outside of sand, as well as potentially outspeeding opposing Excadrill. (add period)

Usage Tips
========
This set should be used as a mid- to late-game (add hyphen) sweeper after his checks / and counters are have been removed. Excadrill also performs very well as a revenge killer. To do this, (AC) though, sand should be up, otherwise his Speed is lackluster. Bringing Excadrill in on Pokémon Pokemon such as Clefable, Chansey, non-Air Balloon Magnezone (watch out for Air Balloon variants), and Raikou is generally a good idea, as they have no way of hitting Excadrill hard.

Team Options

========

Sand support is a must. Tyranitar makes a great partner due to his more offensive nature than Hippowdon, the other sand setter. Smooth Rock is a good option for Tyranitar to give Excadrill more turns of sand. Additionally, teammates that who (consistency with your gendered pronouns) can take care of Rotom-W, such as Latias, Latios, and bulky Grass-types (add hyphen) like such as Celebi and Amoonguss, (AC) are good options. The latter two can also (redundant with 'as well') handle Breloom and Azumarill reliably as well. Keldeo also makes a great teammate, as he is able to beat Landorus-T, Gliscor, and Skarmory reliably.

Choice Scarf
########
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Iron Head
move 3: Rock Slide
move 4: Rapid Spin
ability: Mold Breaker
item: Choice Scarf
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
nature: Jolly

Moves
========
Earthquake is Excadrill’s Excadrill's most powerful move. Thanks to Mold Breaker, Earthquake is more spammable thanks to it bypassing Levitate, though Flying-types (add hyphen) are still immune. This allows Excadrill to get past the Lati Twins Latios, Latias, and Gengar without resorting to the much weaker Iron Head, which should really only be used against opposing Fairies and Pokémon Pokemon such as Landorus-T and Gliscor. Rock Slide provides coverage against Flying-types (add hyphen), while Rapid Spin removes entry hazards. Be aware that you're basically forced to switch out after spinning, as being locked into a 20 BP Normal-type move loses a lot of momentum.

Set Details
========
The EVs maximize Attack and Speed, while the remainder go into Defense to give an odd HP number. A Jolly nature when equipped in tandem with a Choice Scarf allows Excadrill to outspeed key threats such as Thundurus, Mega Zard Charizard Y, Adamant Dragon Dance Mega Zard Charizard X, Greninja, Gengar, Latios, and the Latias Twins, with Mold Breaker allowing him to bypass Levitate and beat the latter three.

Usage Tips
========
Choice Scarf Excadrill can check a variety of dangerous Pokemon such as Mega Pinsir, Talonflame, and Thundurus, as well as sweep, (RC) as well as and Spin remove entry hazards off your side of the field. Furthermore, it's he is one of the best offensive checks to Thundurus due to its his immunity to Thunder Wave. Unfortunately, being Choice-locked into Earthquake or Rapid Spin is easily taken advantage of through the use of setup (one word) moves, so use those moves with caution. Teammates that who remedy this such as Unaware Clefable or and priority users like such as Azumarill are appreciated.

Team Options
========
Teammates that who appreciate entry hazard removal such as Talonflame and Dragonite can capitalize on Excadrill’s Excadrill's spinning capabilities. Users of Volt Switch and U-turn, such as Mega Scizor or Mega Manectric, (AC) allow Excadrill to get in safely. Teammates that who are able to take care of Pokémon that Pokemon who can set up on Choice-locked (add hyphen) Excadrill, (AC) such as Keldeo for Gyarados, (AC) are appreciated, so as to not lose too much momentum. Additionally, bulky Grass-types (add hyphen) to take on the likes of Azumarill and Breloom, such as Celebi, Venusaur, Ferrothorn, or and Amoonguss, (AC) make good teammates.

Other Options please convert this into a paragraph, I'm GPing these sentences anyway because I presume you're not really gonna change them ^_^
########
  • An Assault Vest set with an EV spread of 120 HP / 136 Atk / 252 SpD and an Adamant/Careful (idr, you decide) nature can be used as a bulky spinner. However, this set misses out on the power of the Sand Rush and Scarf sets, and Reflect Type Starmie outclasses Excadrill when using a bulky Reflect Type set in this role.
  • Substitute can be used on the Sand Rush set to reduce the threat of protect Excadrill from priority moves on obvious switches (unless I'm misreading it this is kinda the generic Sub usage tip so not really necessary to mention in something like OO), as well as eat up hits that would otherwise KO Excadrill.
  • If you're (add apostrophe) really scared of opposing sand teams, Sand Rush could can be used on the Choice Scarf set to ensure that you outspeed opposing Excadrill
  • An Air Balloon set with Mold Breaker and Rapid Spin is an option. This set is usually inferior to the Sand Rush set, but unlike this set, it can still get past Rotom-W unlike the Sand Rush set.
  • A Mold Breaker + Swords Dance set holding Leftovers makes a decent stallbreaker, as Excadrill’s Excadrill's immunities to both Toxic and Thunder Wave, as well as a 4x resisance to Stealth Rock, make him quite resiliant resilient against stall.
  • A bulky Stealth Rock + Rapid Spin set with enough HP and Special Defense investment to take on Thundurus and Clefable makes for a decent Stealth Rocker setter and Rapid Spinner all in one package.

- Checks & Counters
########

**Physical Walls**: Pokemon such as Skarmory, Mandibuzz (Stealth Rock must be off the field though), Chesnaught, physically defensive Hippowdon, Slowbro, and physically defensive Gliscor can wall Excadrill all day long, thanks to their ability to tank repeated hits and recover off damage. Additionally, Tangrowth, physically defensive Celebi, and physically defensive Mega Scizor are able to tank his hits as well. However, these three lose if they come in when Excadrill uses Swords Dance.

**Bulky Pivots**: Rotom-W and Landorus-T are able to force out Excadrill repeatedly and gain momentum through the use of Volt Switch and U-turn, respectively.

**Priority Users**: Pokemon such as Azumarill, Crawdaunt, Conkeldurr, and Breloom are able to hit Excadrill with strong, super effective priority attacks. Bisharp also deals a large blow with Sucker Punch.
Ok, so you're still gonna have to convert OO into a paragraph. Gonna give you the stamp anyway because that's not gonna require a lot of new writing and I think I can trust you to fix that ^_^

Additionally, bulky Grass-types to take on the likes of Azumarill and Breloom, such as Celebi, Mega Venusaur, Ferrothorn, and Amoonguss, make good teammates.

Other Options
########
Excadrill does have a few options not mentioned above. An Assault Vest set with an EV spread of 120 HP / 136 Atk / 252 SpD and an Adamant nature can be used as a bulky spinner. However, this set misses out on the power of the Sand Rush and Scarf sets, and Reflect Type Starmie outclasses Excadrill in this role. Additionally, Substitute can be used on the Sand Rush set to protect Excadrill from priority moves, as well as eat up hits that would otherwise KO Excadrill. If you're really scared of opposing sand teams, Sand Rush can be used on the Choice Scarf set to ensure that you outspeed opposing Excadrill. An Air Balloon set with Mold Breaker and Rapid Spin is an option. This set is usually inferior to the Sand Rush set, but unlike this that set, it can get past Rotom-W. Also, a Mold Breaker + Swords Dance set holding Leftovers makes a decent stallbreaker, as Excadrill's immunities to both Toxic and Thunder Wave, as well as a 4x resistance to Stealth Rock, make him quite resilient against stall. Finally, a bulky Stealth Rock + Rapid Spin set with enough HP and Special Defense investment to take on Thundurus and Clefable makes for a decent Stealth Rock setter and Rapid Spinner all in one package.

- Checks & Counters
########

**Physical Walls**: Pokemon such as Skarmory, Mandibuzz when Stealth Rock is not on the field (Stealth Rock must be off the field though), Chesnaught, physically defensive Hippowdon, Slowbro, and physically defensive Gliscor can wall Excadrill all day long, thanks to their ability to tank repeated hits and recover off damage.

**Priority Users**: Pokemon such as Azumarill, Crawdaunt, Conkeldurr, and Breloom are able to hit Excadrill with strong, (remove comma) super effective priority attacks. Bisharp also deals a large blow with Sucker Punch.
