Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Here's the spreadsheet for the template. You get three this time, ONE should be viable and TWO should be flavor (and will not be coded as a result). The one viable one should be above the line marked on the template. For flavor you can do bad items or ones meant for ingame use only. I will be looking more carefully at balance here, since any Pokemon can use these items. You have a few days!
Hope you like Pecha Berry, I tried really hard to make it reference the original effect of Pecha Berry (it's an item in Pokemon), but it was kind of hard since Poison only sort of exists here, so I had to take some creative liberties.
Emblematic Scarf: Choice Scarf equivalent, but with a twist. Quite nice for mons that like to spam their STABs, while also allowing for more than just revenge-killing. Fast supports are very much possible with this item given the right moves.
Captain's Concertina: Serenade your opponent with a timeless classic.
Enigmatic Shield: A mechanical shield that is constantly shifting and altering. Appears to be able to defend well against supereffective attacks.
Joltemons Protector. We are currently lacking many defensive items whatsoever, and we don't have a single item that can reduce damage received. The Enigmatic Shield aims to fill that missing niche for items right now.
Lost Totem:A wooden carving, said to be used to summon weather in distant land. While functionally useless here, this Totem appears to have a calming effect of Pokémon here, especially Folklore types.
I wonder where this totem came from?
Gift Basket:A basket containing a large quantity of food. Pokémon holding the basket feel inclined to gift this food to adjacent allies.
Doubles item. Useless in the main format, singles, however if Extreme Reboot Doubles ever exists, this might be useful.
Alright, some flavor items either would be viable and will be discluded if the mod ever has any other side projects (marked in one asterisk) or include something that don't exist (marked in two asterisks), but those aren't really problematic. Other than a negative item I'm adding in the future, we're finally able to move on to Pokemon!
Slate 7 - Starters
According to Gravity Monkey, he intended for the four seasons for starter types, but is open to people doing whatever. So really, there aren't any limits. Keep in mind that you'll be submitting entire evolutionary families, but should ideally aim for flavor with any unevolved forms rather than trying to make any NFE Fakemon viable or anything like that. Otherwise, you're free to do what you want. Submissions end in 4-5 days or so!
You are also free to give one signature move OR ability to each starter.
Name: Cherrub(Cherry+Cub)

Effect: When this Pokemon is on the field it summons a storm of petals that help increase the power of spring type moves by 1.3x ,The petal storm also increases the priority of spring type moves. However the storm only lasts for 3 turns and it has an 5 turn cooldown meaning once the activated it cannot be activated again until the ability’s user has spent five turns on the field.(if ur confused it’s like how you can only burn turns of sleep when your pokemon who’s asleep is on the field)

Name: Sakuroar(Sakura+Roar)
Type: Spring/Storm
Ability- Sakura Storm
Effect: When this Pokemon is on the field it summons a storm of petals that help increase the power of spring type moves by 1.3x ,The petal storm also increases the priority of spring type moves. However the storm only lasts for 3 turns and it has an 5 turn cooldown meaning once the activated it cannot be activated again until the ability’s user has spent five turns on the field.(if ur confused it’s like how you can only burn turns of sleep when your pokemon who’s asleep is on the field)

Weight-115 lbs
Flavor Moves: Seasons Greetings,Rose Field ,Body Bash,Tragic Flower,Daisy Chain,Floral Breeze
Notable Moves: Sakura Strike, Speed Weed,Cherry Blossom,Lurker Lash,Prickly Bush,Violent Toss,Rabid Maw,Pollinate, Turf Control, Panacea
Descripton: Sakuroar is a strong and fast yet very frail wall breaker, it’s dangerous ability allows it to tear through opposing teams defenses with boosted spring type attacks, it’s also hard to revenge kill with boosted priority on its spring type moves. Sakuroar however is it not flawless in order to make its ability balanced I gave it a cooldown time meaning that Sakuroar has to burn 5 turns in order to use its ability again. And burning those turns will be a pretty tall task as Sakuroar has paper thin defenses so it will be very hard to switch in and it will have a hard time staying in order burn cooldown turns against opposing pokemon. Overall I believe I have created a high risk high reward wallbreaker that if used properly can destroy opposing teams with ease.
Flavor: Cherry blossom leaves now surround the lions entire body. It’s mane is now completely developed and it’s very beautiful. Sakuroar’s roars are powerful enough to summons wind storms which cherry blossom leaves from its body frequently get caught in. Pokemon professors have named this phenomenon “Sakura Storm”

Weight (kg): 150 Customs: Call of Spring: 90 BP, 16 PP, Special, Sound. Until the end of the turn, Spring, Sky, and Earth attacks used by allies do 1.5x damage (not including Call of Spring). Description: A bronze automaton shaped in the likeness of a common species of frog. Every year, it chimes out the beginning of spring with the bell in its throat, with all of the Crucibels' cries combining into a deafening chorus to bring in the new year. However, it generally stays still for the rest of the year, allowing all sorts of flora to grow over its exterior. Based on spring peepers, so it also has a large cross pattern on its back, and preferably clovers growing on it. Interesting mixed attacker, with most sets being carried by its access to Megaton Burst with a wide Sound movepool. Call of Spring, its signature, has perfect synergy with Megaton Burst, and with a wide support movepool and reasonable physical bulk, it can also pull off more defensive sets. It can even go fully physical, with extremely scary Strength Up + Swift Strike sets that can cleave through unsuspecting opponents if given the chance, and its bulk gives it many opportunities to set up multiple times. Very versatile mon that fits on multiple different team builds.
Decoy, Deep Breath, Guard Up, High Noon, Hot Shower, Intimidate, Rainy Season, Refreshing Breeze, Supercharge
Weight (kg): 85 Description: Hullacane has mastered the art of the hoop, and the many hoops on its body form heavy gales around it whenever it moves. It can only be approached when calm or asleep, as otherwise the area around it is too full of debris and harsh winds. Based on the Hawaiian monk seal. Standard physical sweeper, with great offensive stats, great STABs, and setup in Sunbathe. Struggles against Serenity, which is key in balancing it, as it otherwise crushes most other matchups.
Decoy, Deep Breath, Earth Bump, Guard Up, Hibernate, Intimidate, Relax, Reverse Time, Take Cover
Weight (kg): 34 Description: With its 3-meter-long legs, it wanders through autumn fields and dim forests, cutting away unripe grain and dead plants for it to feast upon. Anything it doesn't eat immediately will be wrapped in silk and buried underground, allowing it to ferment before Paciphal digs it up later. Its eyes have atrophied, so it relies on smell and hearing to move around. Is peaceful by nature, but will defend itself with its bladelike appendages if provoked. Based on the harvestman. Very nice bulky pivot, with tons of utility, a great ability in Scavenge, and many interesting attacking options. Hoping I've got my finger on the pulse of the defensive meta with this one, as with Scavenge and Life Gem it fills what I'm guessing will be the best defensive role in this meta, an offensive wall. Of course, its offensive typing isn't the best, and it lacks 100% reliable recovery, but with multiple great ways to boost its bulk (such as Wilt and Stock Crops) and a respectable 115 Attack, it should easily pull its own weight.
Blizzari Freeze, Energy Shot, Freeze Over, Frost Blast, Ghostly Howl, Inhuman Shriek, North Wind, Polar Night, Season's End, Snow Shuriken, Snowball, Winter Gale

Weight (kg): 45 Description: An ancient mountain spirit that lures travelers in by mimicking the shape of classic winter furniture, then pulls them under its cloth exterior and freezes them to death with the chilling air inside (aka it's a reverse kotatsu lol). Very dangerous special wallbreaker, with the familiar combination of Snowbringer and Arctic Blast, as well as Jumpscare to provide it with an amazing dual STAB combination. Its STAB combination is in fact one of the best combinations possible, so to balance this it lacks good coverage. Of course, it's not without its flaws, as it is rather slow, and has no form of setup or pivoting, making it struggle to wallbreak against Winter resists. However, it should be great both as a standalone mon and a Snow enabler.
Weight (kg): 7 Description: They appear in droves after heavy rain. Because of their propensity to warm, wet environments, they're often covered in moss and clover, though a Frover will sometimes shed this plant layer to fool predators while it makes its escape. Every spring, the air is filled with their cries, which sound like wind chimes.
Cricket's Tune, Dew Shower, Dormant Power, Energy Shot, Lucky Star
Decoy, Deep Breath, Earth Bump, Guard Up, Hibernate, Intimidate, Rainy Season, Refurbish, Repair, Rules Rewrite, Soil, Strength Up
Weight (kg): 29 Description: Its body is coated with a thick outer layer of wood for protection, with beautiful floral patterns all across it. It is uncertain if these appear naturally or if it adds them itself. It has large ridges along its back that it will run up against tree branches when frightened, producing a harsh rasp to scare away the offender.
Energy Shot, Ocean Blast, Summer Daze, Swelter, Whirlpool
Decoy, Deep Breath, Guard Up, High Noon, Hot Shower, Intimidate, Rainy Season, Refreshing Breeze
Weight (kg): 8 Description: It carries its inner tube with it everywhere. Because of this, it isn't very good at swimming, and any time it attempts to do more than just float, it ends up spinning in circles.
Decoy, Deep Breath, Guard Up, High Noon, Hot Shower, Intimidate, Rainy Season, Refreshing Breeze
Weight (kg): 35 Description: Having exchanged its inner tube for a hula hoop, it now studies the art of the hoop. Its max right now is 3, but its potential is limitless. Very competitive, and doesn't take losses particularly well, so don't attempt to win against one unless you can take the beating that is sure to follow.
Decoy, Deep Breath, Earth Bump, Guard Up, Hibernate, Intimidate, Relax, Take Cover
Weight (kg): 8 Description: Very small and weak when alone. To avoid being eaten, they will gather together in clusters of 50 or more and spread throughout dimly-lit areas. They are very friendly towards people, but playing with one is a dangerous endeavor, as their legs are like needles.
Decoy, Deep Breath, Earth Bump, Guard Up, Hibernate, Intimidate, Relax, Take Cover
Weight (kg): 20 Description: Makes its nest in piles of dead leaves. Will create intricate traps out of its silk to confuse predators and capture prey, but its gentle nature means it usually ends up letting go anything it catches. Often accidentally breaks its own webs with the sickles on its legs.
Energy Shot, Freeze Over, Frost Blast, Ghostly Howl, North Wind, Polar Night, Season's End, Snow Shuriken, Snowball, Winter Gale
Chilling Breeze, Decoy, Deep Breath, Frosty Fingers, Guard Up, Hibernate, Incantation, Intimidate, Pure Sky, Reverse Time, Snowfall, Take Cover, Tattle Tale, Universe Fate
Weight (kg): 15 Description: Lives in only the most remote mountains, but loves the company of strangers. It can run across snow drifts with ease, practically floating above the snow, and can scale cliffs with massive, one-legged hops. Based on the Yuki-onna.
Blizzari Freeze, Energy Shot, Freeze Over, Frost Blast, Ghostly Howl, Inhuman Shriek, North Wind, Polar Night, Season's End, Snow Shuriken, Snowball, Winter Gale
