Fall Semester Classes

School: Johns Hopkins University
Major: Cellular+Molecular Neuroscience
Year: SENIOR!!!!~

I was re-admitted to jhu today after three semesters of medical leave... and I have no idea what the fuck to take! All my requirements are done already, so I can basically sign up for whatever I want... at least, as long as it is all compatible with my lab work schedule (I have a lab job I'm getting credits for!!! yayyyyyy) and still has open spots...
The open spots thing might be problematic because everyone else including the incoming freshmen signed up for classes all the way back in the spring, so I'm pretty late for the party.

Still, I'm psyched to be going back for my senior year! I'll let you all know when I actually decide what the hell I'm taking :toast:

I've finally had a class or two of all my classes so here they are:

Duke University
Undecided Major
Sophmore

Linear Algebra: This class is horribly boring, but they make me take it and I can't test out of it. At least there are still females in this class XD

Probability: This is some advanced version of the normal one though I'm not sure how different it is. So far it's pretty intuitive but that's because we've only done the basics. I expect it to be increasingly more interesting. It also helps that the teacher is pretty cool.

Analytical Chemistry: Here is where I have a dilemma. I'm like 1 class and 2 labs away from actually getting a Chemistry major after A-chem, but I don't know if I want to do chem anymore. So far it's not as bad as P-chem was, but I've only had two lectures.

P-chem lab: This class fulfills half a WRITING credit. I don't know how this will go.

Chinese: smh this class so much work, we've already had two 500 word essays assigned (in Chinese) and I sound like a 2nd grader when I write. ;-;

OKAY so I finally know what classes I'm (probably) taking!! I can basically take whatever I want this semester because I've fulfilled all my requirements for graduation aside from random credits, so this schedule is basically everything I've always wanted in a schedule ^_^

-Genetics (I'm insane)
-Genetics Lab (see above)
-Research (specifically on cellular+molecular aspects of the development of bipolar and schizophrenia... I'm gonna get to work with induced pluripotent stem cells! Fuck yeah!)
-Rise of the Modern Short Story (the epitome of BS classes, apparently. It's taught by a really old rich dude who has given a ton of money to the school so he can pretty much do whatever the fuck he wants. There's not much homework at all, save for a relatively short paper at the end of the term, so all you really have to do is show up and mayyyybe talk a little bit during discussions and you'll get an A. It's taught at this dude's house, and he keeps alcohol in his fridge for himself and his students to drink whenever they want. ALSO he has kitties. Yup. I think I win.)
-maaaaaybe something else, idk, the add/drop period doesn't end till next week so I still have plenty of time to decide. I'll probably go for a fun upper-level neuro/psych class if I do end up taking anything else

<- That's my school. Senior this time, basically 2 "Globalization" related classes and 3 "Investments" related classes (Behavioral Economics, Investments, etc). Should be fun!

School: University of Alberta
Year: Sophomore
Major: Undecided (probably physics)

CMPUT 274 —Introduction to Tangible Computing I
MATH 125 —Linear Algebra I
PHIL 120 —Symbolic Logic I
PHYS 261 —Physics of Energy

I live in Alberta too! Though I'm not in university yet. Anyone from Ivy Leagues?

Sup, UofA sophmore physics major here. Still straightening shit out but im going to be doing PHYS 281, MATH 115, MATH 225 this semsester, and ive checking out some arts/humanities courses but not much interests me, but I need a few credits worth of them. HOw's PHIL 120? Strngly considering picking up a philosophy intro course, like today.

How is it that I find my English and Theology classes more disconnected from reality than my 3 math courses.

A bit hilarious that this semester I don't have any classes who's subjects take place in the real world.

Am I the only one here who is not an engineer?

Vanderbilt University
Economics and Philosophy

Women and Gender in Everyday Life (I know everyone is probably laughing at me for this)
Environmental Philosophy
Economic Statistics
Intro to International Politics
Intro to Anthropology

It hasn't been that long since I left law school and started working (graduated end of 2011, started work August 2012), but it seems like so long ago. Probably because I think of my classes from my first degree, which I finished in 2009. [/Ancient].

Sophomore in HS taking AP World History. Incredibly easy so far, mostly because our teacher is amazing. He won jeopardy pretty recently.
