Should Deoxs-S be uber? (Read before voting)

I couldn't fit the pokes name in the title >.>.
But I'm here to debate on Deoxes-S to be OU.

"What? Is this guy absurd? It fits in uber!"
Well I have reasons that prove against it.

#1 Max speed Deoxes-S Still loses to jask after a Protect and X-scissor murders u, With 95 base stats in both attacks you practically NEED a choice item.

#2 Pressure? Pfffftttt LOL Not the best ability. Give it leviatate and then maybe SOME reason to go in uber

#3 It doesn't put a dent in much even WITH a choice item

#4 Defs and Hp aren't the best, (Who would ev train it as a wall anyway) It then needs focus sash, but as mentioned before a choice item is really what helps it sweep.

#5 It doesn't gain soul dew or stat raising items of the like.

#6 It's base stats only total up to 600. So does Garchomp, T-tar, Salamence, Metagross and Dragonite

Does it belong in uber? I don't think so.
 
If you're making a thread, at least put in enough effort to make sure your post is grammatically correct. Check the rules, its forbidden to debate a Pokemon's status in the Uber tier.
 
but it still has that massive, insane movepool that comes with the deoxys package. Deoxys-s is pretty crappy in ubers due to the slightly slower but still insanely fast deoxys-a outclassing it. but It would be broken in OU. For instance, it outspeeds all base-130's with zero ev's and a neutral nature. with max speed it outspeeds jolly scarfchomp, so this thing with a choice band could make a good revenge killer. It's just too bad for ubers, but too good for OU, mainly because of the speed and movepool
 
I definitley want it to be unbanned. And it right should be. I will make a top notch OU but definitley not uber. I have a team for it when it is unbanned lol.

No it wont. With a choice specs, its the best special revenge killer in the game. No question. It outspeeds scarfers WITHOUT NEEDING A SCARF. btw no discussing uber/OU teirs

Yes, it makes a great revenge killer. We know it's speed.

It's great in OU. But no where near unstoppable. It needs superpower or Focus Blast/HP fight to not be beat by weavile & tar every time. And even then, since it's always bound to choice specs, as soon as it makes a false move and they get in, it's the end to it. Metagross and TTar beat it nearly all the time, the ladder less if it carries super power. Unless it runs Life Orb it isn't doing enough to blissey with Super power either, and if LO then it lacks even more power. Specs is basically required on him, making him all the more easier to beat.

Don't mini-mod btw. And the 'testing' being done isn't much. Half of the people in the last round of the deoxys cup probably don't even have him on their team. I just really think it should be let into OU for a while, and see if it really proves to be uber.
 
It dies to any and all priority moves. That being said, it's probably no more of a threat than Choice Scarf Heracross/Garchomp/Heatran. As soon as it uses a move not called Superpower, Weavile Pursuits the living shit out of it. The trouble with Deoxys-A is that it's capable of hitting even those things in OU that resist it really hard, especially with a choice item. Probably does close to 50% to the standard Blissey with Choice Specs Psychic. Not so with his speed form.

EDIT: The fact that it's not being spammed in the Shoddy tournament just goes to show it's not as gamebreaking as people would like to believe.
 
On the "Weavile Pursuit owns it lololololol" debate, no, it doesn't. You'd have to be really stupid to give Deoxys-S a Choice item in OU just for that reason (T-Tar, too). If you give Deoxys-S a Choice item in OU, then it's your fault it got owned by a Weavile in every battle. The difference between Life Orb and Chice Specs/Band isn't a whole lot, and this guy can even go mixed. Imagine Infernape with 180 Base Speed.

In addition to his insane speed, Uber movepool, and not having any surefire counters, he doesn't have to sweep; He can support the team with the game's fastest Spikes, Light Screen, and Reflect, among other things. He can use Recover, throw T-Waves around, or do a CounterSash sort of thing. The thing is more diverse than Gengar and Salamence combined, and almost as fast. Just about the only thing he can't do is Baton Pass.

Go ahead, name a surefire OU counter for a non-choice Speed Deoxys.

My opinion: I don't think he should be let out of Ubers, but at the same time, don't think he would unbalance the Metagame to the point where you'd have to have both him and a counter on every team to be successful. Not very sure here.
 
Because of the fact that another thread is considering the Lati@s in the OU tier, Deoxys-S deserves an honorable mention. Its stats aren't that gamebreaking to be honest, so OU play is not out of the question. However, as most posters previously stated, calculations are the only sure-fire way to gauge its possible effects.
