What up guys? This team right here has been seven months in the making of nothing but hardcore IV breeding and getting extremely lucky with RNG. This team is considered a "Flawless Team". That's right, all IV's on every single one of these Pokemon's stats are 31. Each Pokemon has a specific role on this team, and they each help each other in their own way. Although this team is undefeated as of now, it still has some flaws that could hurt me in some more competitive battles.
This team isn't focused on a certain theme, like a Sun, Rain, or stall team, but mostly just an average team that's here to kick some butt!
I have competed in about five battles with this team and won all of them. Most of them by a landslide, while others were quite challenging. I like a challenge, and to strategize with my team, so that's why I veer away from the Uber Metagame because most people use Ubers for nothing but raw power. This team went up against an Uber team and demolished them, probably because this person had no idea what he/she was doing. Anyway, here is my team!
Team Layout:
Weavile (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature (+Spe, -Def)
-Fake Out
-Ice Punch/Taunt
-Aerial Ace/Brick Break
-Night Slash
This Weavile is my Attacking Lead. He will be brought in at the start of the battle and tries to do as much damage as possible. He is not meant to be a suicide lead, but occasionally he will stay in until death. His Fake Out is used to eliminate Focus Sash's on suicide leads like Aerodactyl and even other Weavile. Taunt and Ice Punch are very useful, but in different situations. I perfer Ice Punch due to a high powered STAB ice move, but Taunt is useful for bulky slow support Pokemon like Bronzong. Aerial Ace seems like a better option then Brick Break because of its type coverage against Fighting types, but Brick Break eliminates other Ice, Dark, and Normal types. Night Slash is crucial because of the STAB and high critical hit ratio. Weavile works best with Hitmontop because he can protect Hitmontop from Flying and Psychic types. Hitmontop can also support Weavile and eliminate other Weaviles/Ice types.
Sceptile (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 252 Atk / 80 SpA / 176 Spe
Hasty Nature (+Spe, -Def)
-Leaf Storm
-Rock Slide
-Leaf Blade
-Low Kick
My favorite Pokemon, and for good reason. Most people when they see a Sceptile might automatically assume that it's all Special based. Not mine. He is a Mixed Attacker, so people might bring out a SpD tank and not expect the Leaf Blade. Then, assuming it's physical, bring out a Def tank, then get a Leaf Storm! Rock Slide is good coverage for Fire and Flying Type like Moltres, Infernape, and Staraptor. Low kick will take care of heavy Steel and Normal types. You better watch out you Swampert fans! If my Sceptile gets his hands on them, they will basically be no use what so ever other then a death fodder! His main weakness is, bulky fire types. Although he has Rock Slide, he just doesn't have enough physical power to take down Arcanine. Sceptile works best with his good pal Swampert. Sceptile can protect Swampert from other Grass types, and he can provide type coverage to other Bulky Pokemon that Swampert may not have the moves to take out, like Water and Ice types.
Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 SpD
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spe)
-Stealth Rock
-Earthquake
-Ice Beam
-Roar
Introducing, the Tank! This big guy can leave an opponent frustrated out their mind trying to figure out what this thing is used for, and how to take care of it without getting demolished! First, he sets up a Stealth Rock, so the opponent might assume a switch right after, or a Protect. They will most likely try to stat boost to set up a sweep, but just as they get a sweep ready, he Roars, foiling the sweeping plan and getting damage from Stealth Rock. He can continue to Roar until hes got a good match up, then Ice Beam away at Flygon, Altaria, and Dragonite. For Steel and Fire types like Metagross and Arcanine, Earthquake is a powerful STAB that could demolish anything that has no resistance to it. Although he is almost indestructable, he MUST stay away from Grass types like Tangrowth and Sceptile. Swampert works well with most of the team, but he works best with Sceptile. Swampert can provide some amazing type coverage against Flying, Electric, Poison types, and allow for a devastating tag team if used correctly.
Dragonite (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 HP / 44 Atk / 212 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Thunder Wave
-Fire Punch
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you, The Swiffer! No just kidding, but the reason I said that is because this big guy is basically a tank with the ability to sweep. When I was thinking of my last member to this team, I wanted a Dragon type that didn't ruin the spirit of the match like Garchomp, so I thought, why not Dragonite? Having naturally good defensive stats, this thing can take the hits, and then deal an even bigger one right back at ya! First, he brings other sweepers to their knees with Thunder Wave, then Dragon Dances away. When the time is right, he comes at you with an extremely powerful STAB Dragon Claw, eliminating almost anything that has no resistance. For those pesky steel types, Fire Punch is there for some nice coverage. Dragonites only problem is Speedy Ice Types like Froslass and Bulky Regice. Dragonite works best with Jolteon. Jolteon can take out mostly anything, but Ground types leave him defenseless. Dragonite can give Jolteon a helping hand with the immunity to Ground types, and sense most Ground types lack in Physical Defense, Dragonite will be all over them.
Jolteon (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball
-Signal Beam
-Wish
The hit and run speed demon! This 394 speed/319 SpecA Choice Spec Jolteon is no laughing matter just because of it puny defensive stat. If your team is full of Water/Flying types, you'll be begging for mercy if this guy crosses your path. Its STAB Choice Spec Thunderbolt will fry your Water and Flying types, and its Shadow Ball will be the one scaring your Gengar and Azelf. Signal Beam is a great attack for taking out Weavile and Espeon with no hassel. Wish may seem strange, but can be extremely useful for my two tanks Swampert and Dragonite, seeing that they both lack a recovering item (this is why Roost was replaced by Thunder Wave). Although he may seem too fast to stop, ground types like Swampert will make Jolteon fall to his knees. If Dragonite needs a helping hand, Jolteon is there to help. Jolteon will shoot the Flying types out of the sky that usually leave Dragonite wondering what to do. He also gives the Water types like Vaporeon a jolt just in case they have any Ice type moves lying around. He can also heal the big guy's health with Wish, making the opponent basically wanting to quit from frustration of trying to take Dragonite out again!
Hitmontop @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SpA)
-Rapid Spin
-Foresight
-Close Combat
-Sucker Punch
This is a classic Rapid Spinning Top with a slight twist. Once the Rapid Spin is done to eliminate Spikes, Seeds, or Stealth Rock, most opponents expect a switch. Nope. Even on a Psychic type, he'll stay in. Thinking I'm stupid they'll try to Psychic me but then BAM! As quick as a flash their Psychic's poor defensive stats kicked in, and they just got Sucka Punched. For those pesky Ghost types, Foresight will eliminate their immunity to Fighting, and next thing they know they just got hit by a Close Combat. How embarrasing! The only thing that scares this Hitmontop is Speedy Choice Spec Psychic types like Espeon. Although Hitmontop has high SpD, if Choice Specs come into the picture, he is the one getting topped. Hitmontop works best with Weavile. Hitmontop can foil a Seeding Sceptile or a Spikes Skarmory fast by Rapid Spinning. He can also provide some amazing coverage against Weavile's nemesis, Weavile. If another Weavile is sent out, Hitmontop will have the ability to Close Combat/Sucker Punch combo it, then bring back Weavile to finish the rest off.
Ok that was my team! I hoped you enjoyed my witty humor :naughty: and my team itself. If you have any recomedations, please feel free to reply. Thanks again!
