Frosty Art

@ Bummer - I really do appreciate it, sir. I always find it interesting at how indecisive I am when drawing, so that's when I started taking progress shots (Starting with that Scizor, actually).

@ Bombiron - It sure is. I'm hoping soon (Once I get caught up on tattoo stuff for work), I can start doing more Pokemon drawing in this type of style.

@Maestro - I appreciate some good constructive criticism. You don't even know. I would almost prefer for everyone to bash my artwork extra hard than actually compliment it like I always hear. Okay...maybe not. But I do enjoy it occasionally, believe it or not.
ANYWAY, the two drawings you picked out are actually both 5 years old. Heh, but I do have a difficult time with human anatomy sometimes. I guess you look at other humans all your life and you don't really notice how precise and demanding the anatomy really is until you try to replicate it.

But anyway, I'm glad you guys dig it. Hopefully I'll have some more cool stuff up within the next week.

Slow week >.>

Uh...is that your leg? o_0 Anyway, I love your dark style, though I have to say your Dragonite is pretty cool too! Keep up the good work! And you're completely self-taught!

I started my hand. Hooray! Still have to do the fingers and fill in what I've got. Next I do my sleeve. Huzzah.
Some of the lines may look a little warped or not straight...but they all are. It's just the angle the picture is at and the way the skin wraps around the bones. Still, you guys get the idea.

I love it all. Seriously. All of it. Every. Single. Picture.
The puppies are amazing ;_; I love the complexity of your art, keep it up! =)

Wow your art is great, I particularly love the style of the Scizor and Gengar. But wait, are you tattooing yourself? And do you own a parlor or do tattoos out of your basement or something?

Either way, I would like to suggest/request a Mewtwo. Mewtwo seems like an easy enough candidate to put in a gloomy or grotesque form which seems to be the pattern set by the other Pokémon you've drawn. Thanks in advance

My skin? Oh no, this is just other people I tattoo. That blacklight biomechanical hand is the only one that's actually my skin. The rest are just customers.
And at Zacchaeus: I work from a local parlor.

Yeah well about that...
I will be on a tattoo hiatus for a few months: I'm going to go through another apprenticeship and take a few steps back in order to improve my work. I feel this is very necessary for my growth in the field, and I've found an excellent artist to teach me a lot of things that I need to get better.
So that's just a personal decision I made today, and I think it will definitely be for the best; I've only been satisfied with MAYBE one of my tattoos.

So that means you'll probably be seeing a lot more traditional art. Which is good I suppose...since there will be a lot more of it and it won't suck as much.

How do you practice tattooing without ruining someone's skin? It seems like everyone has to start somewhere and I'm not sure what you would tattoo on other than a person's skin. Hmm maybe animal skin..?

That kind of worries me though that you've been working at a professional business and you aren't satisfied with your work

I just feel like I have a lot of room for improvement. In fact, I think any real artist should feel the same: anybody that feels otherwise would be extremely arrogant and naive. It's only really practice in the sense that I feel like a lot of my basics are a little off and I want to train under the best guys in the industry to get to a point of near perfection. It's not like I'm a bad artist: I just need to learn things like how to adjust my machines appropriately and other techniques that really improve the result of skin art.
I feel bad though because now that I've quit, apparently my old job is going out of business >_____________________>

Sure. I started on human skin though. Pig skin, fruits, and other various materials are common though. Still...I think that taking a step back is the way to go.

Been away for a while; blame my old computer for breaking on me. I'm going to try to post a new picture every day this week, so keep an eye open.
