Ugh, I HATE garchomp. It's better than Flygon in every way T_T , and its also ugly as sin. At least Salamence looks cool!

But yeah, I always get owned by the CB outrage ones... but it's because I rarely stray from UU or BL (darn battle tower teams lol)

I like the Banded variation myself. Sure, you don't get the raw speed the Scarf sets do, but does Speed matter when you're doing shit to Cresselia, who sets up Reflect and Ice Beams you? Garchomp is nearly as fast as Infernape, so it outspeeds plenty anyways, making it an excellent late-game sweeper.

what are you talking about. Garchomp is badass.

Eh, I voted for the ChainChomp set but I'm kind of split between that and the Scarf set now. I got owned by the scarf set in wifi battle tower so many times, and it's also helped me turn alot of battles around with a surprise kill.

I liked the idea of CB Garchomp on this Gravity Team: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26554&highlight=Gravity

Garchomp @ Choice Band
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Nature: Adamant
- Dragon Rush
- Earthquake
- Stone edge
- Fire Blast

Excellent idea. Adament CB STAB EQ wtih 252 Attack EVs in Gravity literally hits EVERYTHING very hard, and Gravity also increases the accuracy of Dragon Rush, which may be 20 points weaker than Outrage (30 after STAB is applied), but has the plus of being extremely powerful and not having to lock you in. Nothing resists Dragon/Ground under Gravity, and under Gravity, Skarmory, Bronzong, Gengar, and Cresselia suddenly lose their ability to safetly switch in and counter Garchomp effectively. Fire Blast for the sake of dealing with Grass types that might switch in.

Flygon does have a few advantages here and there. Fire Punch > Fire Fang, Levitate, Roost, U-turn...

Anyways, lately I've been using the CB Chomp, but with Tailwind support. It's like having both Band and Scarf at the same time. That, and I can run enough HP EV's to survive a hit from anything that's packing enough EV's to barely KO Chomp. Of course, you could do that on the regular Scarf set too, but eh. STAB Outrage from almost 600 attack and something like 420 speed hurts, and it usually runs out near the same time that Tailwind does.

That gravity set is interesting (I'd actually thought about that too awhile ago), but Dragon Rush loses a little of it's value since Garchomp still has Outrage to use. I'd be more likely to use it on CBmence (not sure if Gravity affects your team as well, though).

Almost every time I Wi-Fi battle, there's always that player with a Garchomp. I think it's best used as a Standard Sword Dancer, instead of the fancy Choice Scarf option. Though, my opinion about this wasn't differentiated by much.

I voted of CBChomp. Scarfchomp is easy to wall, SDChomp is okay, and Chain Chomp never catches me off guard. Subchomp is really gay though. I was 6-0ed by a Subchomp at 23% HP just because my 100% acc moves missed 3x in a row (Forry's Quake, Swampert and Cress' Ice Beam).

freaktron, however, demonstrated the power of CBChomp to me by knocking out my Cress which is at around 60% HP

ummm, scarfchomp's just that "guarantee" to get that KO on other chomps , obviously aswell as cleaning late game.

I'm not too keen on chainchomp at all, and brightpowder chomp is just fucking game changing.

Yes, yes it is. When everyone decides "Okay guys, let's play fair and ban evasion" and then one jackass gets in with a loophole, it makes it hard for the rest of us who aren't carrying never-miss moves and other evasion-related gear.

Just an idea

Garchomp@Leftovers/Choice Band
Adamant
236 HP, 16 Atk, 120 Def, 116 SpDef, 20 Speed
236 HP, 16 Atk, 40 Def, 116 SpDef, 100 Speed
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Stealth Rock/Stone Edge
Fire Fang/ Fire Blast

Enough HP for the highest lefties number, 16 Atk to get that bonus point. 116 SpDef survives an icebeam from 299 SpAtk or less 100% of the time (starmie). 20 Speed to outrun the standard Breloom, gliscor and jolly tyranitar and 100 to outspeed heracross. Leftover EVs put into Defense.

yeah, CBchomp is seriously underrated compared to the other forms, this thing can 2ko cresselia with outrage so you basically force your opponent to carry a steel type.

The difference between CSchomp and CBchomp is that CBchomp has a chance (and I say chance because it's by no means guaranteed if they're on full HP) to 2hko a lot of the things CSchomp needs 3hko. But once you do get that kill, then it's just a matter of your opponent bringing in a fast ice attack and kill you as you are locked in. So it's an eye for an eye. You lose garchomp in exchange for something of theirs.

The CSchomp is weaker and is walled by more things but it cleans up late game much better. Fast ice attacks won't kill it and you pretty much need STAB ice shard to do so. In most instances, it can kill more than 1 pokemon before it goes down.

I know I've made so many comebacks from like 5-2 down using just CSchomp because I had killed their steel type and any sweeper like infernape just get slaughtered before they can HP ice.

i like

garchomp @ focus sash
naughty, 252 att 252 spd
outrage
earthquake
brickbreak
flamethrower

but focus sash chomp wasn't on the list.

And let's not forget the whopping 79% damage on your Tyranitar which had took two hits from Stealth Rock.

Again, the best part about CBchomp is that if it isn't doing Outrage, if it has to switch out it won't lose its boosts.

Also, Dragon Claw isn't a bad option on CBchomp either, because CB Dragon Claw technically has the same amount of power as non-CB Outrage. Not sure if anyone pointed that out.
