I have a question. If I contacted my opponent, but they have not responded yet, do I just wait until Thursday?
Yes, on Thursday they will likely be subbed out if they still haven't responded. If they don't get subbed out (because we might not have enough subs for all the inactives!) then you get a free win if they never get back to you
