[Help!] I Am Correcting An Injustice (´・ω・`)

Is the word "ramen" used in the same context on 2ch as "spaghetti" is on 4chan? (´・ω・`)

OP certainly reeks of ramen-spilling goodness.

Also, something that might interest people who find this sort of straight up batshit insanity amusing, here's a link to another person who apparently uses magic to fool themselves into thinking whatever the shit they want to, much like OP (though definitely more on the delusional side, if you can believe it). Original ref is from SA, but I copied and pasted this from tumblr because I think this description sums up the level of crazy pretty succinctly. Italics = highlights in WTFery.

you know that kid in school who just could not stop making shit up, no matter how outrageous his lies got, or how many times you caught him out?

that kid who had a gold-plated playstation 5 at his house that had all the Sonic games ever made on one disc (EVEN THE SECRET ONE WHERE SONIC KILLS DR. ROBOTNIK WITH A KATANA) but you could never actually see it because his mom kept it in a safe?

that one girl who went around with a knife in her shoe and beat up all the gang members and got made into their leader ‘but it was in Hawaii, they don’t know about me here’?

we all knew kids like that, but i’m pretty sure this lady blows them all out of the water:

http://michaelhutchenceandme.wordpress.com

  • She created the legend of Mulan and named the character after M. Night Shymalan
  • She wrote most of Tupac Shakur’s raps
  • And Vanilla Ice’s raps too!!!
  • And “Karma Kameleon”
  • And “Gangnam Style”
  • And most of AC/DC’s hits
  • She created the band Evanescence in 1983 and decided to name the lead singer after herself
  • Kurt Cobain faked his suicide, and his suicide note was addressed to her
  • Every time she tries to prove her claims, the head of Island Records shows up with the blessing of the Queen of England and rapes her in a van.
[*]Which is what the Nirvana song “Rape Me” is about.
    [*]No really.
  • Michael Jackson started lightening his skin after she fell asleep with her face on his chest and he woke up with her makeup smeared on him and said “I want to be this color.”
  • The song “Scream” is about being attacked by Kurt Cobain and a guy from Def Leppard in her home.
  • So is the movie franchise of the same name.
  • She invented gangsta rap to save black people from gangs! And named all the ‘ice’ rappers!

It was during this time I started writing rap songs and referring to “gangsta’s” in songs. It was also during this time I named the artist Vanilla Ice after writing “Ice Ice Baby”, writing the song “Cold as Ice” recorded by Foreigner, naming Val Kilmer’s character “Iceman” in Top Gun, and continued to use “ice” with naming the artist “LL Cool J”, “Ice T”, as well as Coolio.
My hope in writing rap songs and working with artists who once were in gangs or who represented the image was to give our youth an alternative to selling drugs and killing each other, and a constructive outlet focusing on music as a way out of poverty.

This lead me to write the song “Gangsta’s Paradise” recorded by Coolio.

You know, this is fake (because it can't possibly be real), but regardless, you have to consider that some of the 2chan dudes might have been seriously trolling who they though was a real fucked up dude. And that apparently there was an actual arrest incident before those threads.

Like, how do these people reach the worst of internet communities to begin with? It's disheartening no matter how you look at it.

I am also in the camp of "there's no way someone could possibly be this delusional", but I agree with you most strongly on the second point. In the astronomically small chance that this thread WAS real, why the fuck were there people encouraging him to hurt the girl he had feelings for? Unfuckingbelievable, it makes me sick to my stomach (´・ω・`)

It's still something that needs to be fixed. Sites, popular sites at that, that can actually destroy a dude in real life need to be moderated.

Or moderated better? Or brought down if that doesn't help? This kind of thing is mildly avoidable compared to other shit that happens online.

oh... my......

it's the internet. what do you expect?

(´・ω・`) Real talk, though. I think it's very sad that it's this way -- it's a given that people will treat it this way, especially because of the (to borrow the phrase) 'safety blanket of anonymity' and the detachment of the situation. It's a surreal situation being posted about by some stranger they understandably don't have much compassion for, so they didn't take it seriously. However, any of them who were taking it seriously and trolled forgot to have compassion for Denko in their eagerness to punish the OP for not listening, and in the end just spread more pain and got 'Denko' hurt even more (or would've lmao if she were real). Obviously they aren't fully at fault here since (´・ω・`)-kun mostly ignored them and selectively listened to the bad advice, and I'd in no way venture to say (´・ω・`)-kun shouldn't be 100% blamed for his actions (because I have little but condemnation for people who stalk and harass others), but that that bad advice was given so much in the first place is a little sad when you consider the context.

What it reflects is what we know to be reality, yes, but a disheartening reality -- that people don't take the internet seriously. So many people have very meaningful connections on the internet because they're able to remember that the internet is a way of connecting them to people just like themselves, and they don't automatically discard the value of interactions conducted on the internet just because of the medium. In short, they treat the internet as a way of broadening their horizons, rather than choosing to limit them artificially and detach themselves from humanity. You're (in the general sense, not referring to you as in Redew ^^) not better than the people you talk to on the internet. They are people, same as you, with valid feelings, and chances are they're the exact same people as you'd be dealing with offline who sometimes like to go online, just like you. Not to mention many people who are housebound for lots of reasons (disability, severe social anxiety and/or hikikomoriism, living in a very remote area, etc.) make use of the internet as one of their only regular ways of keeping in touch with the world, and the internet is something that brings them together because they can bond together over their isolation. Which is one way people like this end up on 2chan, btw -- a lot of hikikomori spend their time on boards like 2chan, and you'll notice that the OP reiterated many times how he doesn't have any friends except 2channers, etc. There are a lot of scary threads on 4chan, Reddit, etc. too! So, yeah, while this is reality, it's not a good thing that should be encouraged or passively normalised.

Also goes for when people encourage others to kill themselves, etc. in advice threads on the internet. Don't do that. It might seem funny to you... if you think other people's lives are less important than your temporary amusement and if you're good at compartmentalising, cognitive dissonance, and forgetting that there's a person just like yourself at the end of your screen, except that person is actually going through problems and isn't fortunate enough to be in a place where they can be like HA HA TELLING A PERSON WHO IS DEPRESSED TO KILL THEMSELVES IS FUNNY (´・ω・`) well that's my rant for today. Sorry, I know it wasn't very well-worded, but I'm super tired.

This is the greatest thread ever. And yeah its definitely fake, no one can be that dumb, the guy was probably laughing his ass at people believing him. (´・ω・`)

imanalt linked me to this yesterday in #capasb, and i read the whole thing

shared it with my friends today at lunch and we were busting our asses laughing, 2ch you have done well

edit: in case i sound fucked up for laughing at this, obvious troll was obvious

i agree with pluff, and i honestly do not understand how someone can sit back in their comfy chair and flame people on the internet. just because it's not on the internet doesn't mean that it doesn't effect someone just the same as it would in the real world. i cannot even begin to fathom how someone could hate another for posting a wrong (or less than, say, five) piece(s) of information; if it's wrong tell them, help them, and if they still don't get it then be a guide and a role model. i strongly dislike others hating one another, and i try not to hate the best i can. even though i'm only 15, i wish i would have realized this sooner instead of later. still, it slays me how even older kids (even adults!) do not realize this and how it effects others.

Hey. Foe a fifteen year old, you ain't so bad, dude.

But yeah, seriously, even though this has a very high potential of being fake (I mean who the hell texts his stuff at such a rapid pace while being assaulted by his so-called girlfriend?), there's times where you can be fun and you must be a role model, even on the internet. Role model being the key word here, because I've had enough experiences with people with the right idea but wrong words. Just be nice, people.

(Of course I know the impossibilities of doing that on a site as sleazy as the chans)

Yeah, we know, corrupt people online and offline, humanity needs a fix etcetera, point being that these incidents can be avoided without some kind of godly intervention as opposed to other things.

There needs to be a global body (or regional bodies with similar standards) in charge of keeping the peace when it's possible, akin to the police. If such a thing exists it isn't doing its job well enough. I don't know shit about this kind of thing but I'm assuming nothing like this exists because the internet is Land of the Free, in which case that has to change.

Someone linked this on Facebook a few weeks ago, read the whole thing
If its real it's horribly depressing, but as its nearly certainly a very good troll then it's hilarious.

Im of course dubious if whether or not its real, but the parallels between op and one guy i know are... Eerie to say the least... People unquestionably can be this clueless and do things like send 50 texts/emails an hour without reply
(The specific guy i was referring to texted me 40 times while my phone was off watching a movie...)

as long as nobody kills themselves over being trolled (or if authorities find out that they are legitimately cyber bullying and can find them) then i don't think anyone can do anything on a non-moderated forum. the best you can do is talk to the person directly, in private, and tell them to ignore the others. sadly, even others use this to troll, making the victim unsuspecting as to what their main intentions are.

Well, what if the government was in charge of the net in one way or the other? It's kind of radical when you compare it to the rest of ~*~the media~*~ but then again newspapers and online communities are completely different beasts in every aspect.

if the governments controlled the internet we'd have varying amounts of free speech amongst users. different governments have different rules (generally)

and if you're going to say "let one government rule the internet" that would be a bit selfish. don't take this as being mean (i feel like i'm sounding mean and i'm sorry if i do)

the best thing i can come up with is: your family does your thing, but when my dad sees something he doesn't like then he tells you guys what to do and you have to obey it or else you'll get in trouble.

this is really bad but it's all i could think of. if anyone else has a better analogy then feel free to post it.

No, I know, I also know it's a super controversial subject for that reason. Actually there's no need for extremes, just better education maybe? People won't be on the receiving end of this kind of thing if they know it exists in advance. And I'm not necessarily talking about trolling, but how some sites are more dangerous than others.

wasn't sopa/pipa/whatever that shit was about government controlling the internet and everyone hated it?

Hahahahaha I lost it at "Do you like anal?"

And to all the people saying it's obviously fake, several of the anonymous posters in page 2 or 3 referenced another thread about some artist that was a lot like these ones, and it ended up actually being real and the guy got arrested. There's really no way we'll ever know if it was real or not, but the possibility makes it pretty damn creepy imo.
