But Chikorita's the only Johto starter I like... ;~;

Nah, kiddin', it'd be cool if the stationary pokémon were dependant on your starter, hoping that the Beasts' IVs aren't as screwed as in Fr/Lg.
I actually have a soft spot for Chikorita too, it was my first ever Johto Pokemon.

To be honest, to me it seems kinda obvious that it's going to be Suicune no matter the starter. The intro videos are my backup for this. In the bit with the face shots of the three, Suicune's stuck around a fair bit longer than the other two. And there's that one bit near the end with just Suicune.

By the way, anyone notice the other part of my earlier post?

lol, I have mad love for all execpt Todidile :( *shudder*

Yeah, wouldnt they make it where you can obtain all three of the stationary pokemon? (such as Uxie, Azelf, and Mespirit)

well no more lati@s rumors since the 9 ingame legends have been revealed.

Suicune, Entei and Raikou weren't there.

And about Suicune being stationary, it's going to be only it. The official site clearly mentions Suicune and Suicune only on Eusine's profile. And of course, there's also the intro.

I was playing through firered, and I was thinking of a copycat move tutor. Remember that girl in the city named the copycat? Mayby if you have an item, she'll teach you copycat. And instead of doduo, she could have a chatot. That reminds me, do you think that important characters will have their pokemon following them. I guess it will tell you one of their pokes, but..

The copycat girl was already in GSC, you needed to get her Clefairy doll back to her and she gave you the ticket for the train.

I'd rather have a Me First tutor (I'm looking at you, Flygon) than Mimic. Have you forgotten the Mimic glitch from Japanese D/P already?

I agree, Me First might actually help some pokemon out whereas Mimic is much more of a gimmicky move and much more situational.

Mimic or Copycat makes more sense than Me First.. Or she could be a tutor for all 3 moves!

CoroCoro should leak in a few days. Is this the last CoroCoro before the games get released?

Oh, and since this is probably the last time we'll return to Kanto, I hope that Machop guy has finished his building =( Poor guy.

Last time? What about the 20 year anniversary remake? I can imagine a conglomerate remake game where they bundle together a bunch of generations (Hoenn, Johto, Kanto, etc.) in the future. They're already (fully) bundling Kanto with Johto this time around so it wouldn't be too much of a shock if it happened. I know some of you might say " Kanto was in Johto the first time!"; but I believe that the detail which they bundled Kanto into Johto hints at other full generation bundles in the future.

I can only hope you're terribly mistaken.

I second this.

I'm already worried about the inclusion of Kanto in this remake. G/S showed that Gamefreak doesn't do to well if they go for to much quantity. Not that the Kanto in the Original Gold/Silver was that terrible but it was far from interesting.

I hope they've decided to do something more with poor old Kanto this time around. (IIRC this wish has been expressed a few times on the thread already)

Oh dear, I hope this doesn't happen :(

Kanto and Johto are essentially one region, that's why they can be bundled together. Hoenn is far away and Sinnoh not much closer iirc, it just wouldn't make sense to try to connect either of those two with an already existing region. And we've been to Kanto in EVERY generation so far, doing it again is really pushing it unless they wait a very long time. Hoenn and Sinnoh will probably be remade in future generations before Kanto.

What's wrong with bundling them all together?: Nothing wrong with it when it comes to sense(they can make whatever shit up they want, or have you go on a cruise to another region, ride an airplane/Dragonite, etc.) it is the $ factor. Why give consumers a deal in 10 years if they can make more money off of multiple carts?

No, the problem is not bundling regions together for whatever reason, the problem is to make it while having a point to do so, and making it a enjoyable experience, not a chore. I hope for Kanto to be useful this time.

About the Vermillion guy, i really want to see him finish his building, and that building being something useful for the player. But i believe it won't be complete again xD like in the original GSC. It's like a gag now.

It normally hits on the 15th, so next month's will be within a few days (before or after) the release.

WRT Kanto: I suspect after one playthrough I will be officially sick of Kanto. Especially if it's just a carbon copy of the original game (and given that they have to run it on the DS game engine, that wouldn't surprise me in the least). You might go to the same place for vacation every year, but eventually you want a change.

Actually, according to Serebii, this month's issue will come out earlier (the 10th or 11th). So, it's possible we get a blurry scan tomorrow already, and better ones on the weekend.

^Yeah, but Ondore was talking about next month's issue (the one that comes out in September), when the release schedule will be back to normal, and thus the issue itself will come out after the games are released.
