Kojondo interested me so ill replace Scrafty with him, and im replacing that dragon (dnt remember name) with Lilligant

I really wanna post a "Ooh, this is my team I'm planning on using ingame!" post, but I don't know anyone beyond two: Snivy, my Starter, and Zorua, whom I've wanted to use ingame since I knew I could get it before beating the game. There are lots of Pokémon I like, but I figure I'll just pick up stuff and see how it works.

I've mostly been reading the topic for stuff on what works and what's crap. I just wish there was more Zorua discussion, but there was a bit of that a few days back.

But yeah, I like this topic.

If you already have the game, I could help you get a Zorua!
The thing with it is that it can only be obtained pre-nat'l dex via GTS. Even so, it has a crappy level up moveset at first and has shaky defenses. However, if you're patient to get is some good moves, it can hit really hard. Besides, if you abuse its ability, you can give it a bit of extra survival in the boss battles.

That's very nice of you, but I'm waiting for the US Release. I'll have the Event Celebi (and Beasts) so I won't need any help. I'm mostly scouting the topic to see what people think about stuff that I'm interested in. I was planning on using Panpour/Simipour, but if it's so poor, then I may look for Jellicant or something.

you can't transfer celebi or the beasts pre-elite four

sorry :/

They're completely different pokemon. However, I like pup better. Itt has higher attack and speed, and slightly less bulk.

Yeah, but what I meant was what should be best for the rest of the team. They are Samurott/Darmanitan/Lilligant/Sigilyph/Excadrill. Yeah, I know it is pretty similar to the person at the top of the page, but I made this team give or take a month ago, but am now reconsidering.

For a great gaming experience, I think you should take 2 top tier pokes (I strongly encourage you to take Sigilyph and Excadrill, for example) and get 3-4 pokes you like design wise. :3

I played BW when it was first released and saved the post game for the english version to save some of it. So, my memory may be hazy but here is what I used for my playthrough:

Samurott: He never really hit hard and took a lot of damage too late game but all in all, he's a pretty good all rounder. He helped me a lot in the gyms+E4 and was relatively easy to train with the Lucky egg. To be honest though, the other pokemon in the team just outperformed him. That may be because he was Naive and probably had shit IVs. Despite that, he belongs in Mid High Tier.

Doryuuzu: The star player in the team. Seriously, you get him early, he evolves pretty quick, is easy to train and hits hard. Best of all, he can take hits due to his...steelness...Anyways,This guy owned the Elite four. Top Tier for sure.

Denchura: Another good player. If I remember correctly, you get him around level 28-29. I got mine at 27 with compoundeyes and timid(of course after releasing the bad ones). He hits stuff hard with a pretty damn accurate Thunder. This guy was awesome and easy to train. Even in the Elite four, he would mostly 1-2HKO the foes. High Tier.

Cofragrigus: I used him because I thought I needed more defense because all my pokemon were very fragile. But he just doesn't hit hard and never really became useful so I replaced him with:

Chandelure: Not gonna lie. He was damn hard to train. When he was litwick and even Lampent, he would die with the slightest touch. And things hits pretty harder than slight mid to late game. But when he evolved, man did he hit hard. He still died pretty easily though but that's only when he failed to inflict massive pain and OHKO the enemy, which he did most of the time. Was it worth it? Probably. Would I pick him again? Not really. Too much pain to go through to get him to be amazing. Mid low tier.

Beartic: I got him for the 8th gym because none of my other pokemon could really go against dragons but man he is such a pain. It was easy to evolve him and stuff but he doesn't really get any good attacks. All he gets is icicle drops and that's just not good enough. I held on to him until after the gym and then deposited him in the box. Low tier.

And then I used A pidove evolution for my flier.

But I was way too weak for the E4. There was no way I could've beaten them with four-ish pokemon (I guess Beartic could have been useful but I didn't want to use him. He was a pain :().

So I caught a Monozu and spent a whole day to train him:

Sazandora: What can I say? I couldn't have won the elite four without him. I know he can be a pain to train but he was really worth it. Oh and I had to do the training without the Lucky Egg btw. I lost my lucky egg when i accidently released my cofragigus instead of taking the lucky egg from him and I couldn't restart because I caught a good candle by that time and I forgot to save -__-.
Anyways, even when he was a Jiheddo, he held his own. I had to baby him for a bit but when he evolved, everyone was decimated by his power. :) Mid Tier

Woot!! Got an event raikou today(I live in Oz)!!! I'm pretty sure this has been discussed, but what did you guys think of zoroark in terms of movepool, gyms and the E4? Is the computer fooled by Illusion? If so, what is a good in game partner?

You can send over Celebi/Shiny Beasts before National Dex. If you type in the phrase you can get it as soon as Castelia City.
@Overl0rd 14: I'm going to a MacDonalds on the weekend just to download Raikou. SOOO EXCITED! I know that wasn't related to the topic, so sorry. And the computer is fooled by Illusion, though dumb regular trainers may attack randomly anyway.

The illusion fools computers yes. From what I've been told Zorua is a tad difficult early game, but it evolves into its full stage quite early and immediately gets Night Slash while having perfect coverage with a fighting move. Its pretty fast too which is helpful.

It is neutral against the relevant gyms, but it deals nicely with the ghost/psychic E4

Anyone else have troubles finding Drillburr? Finding the ground spots is really tedious, especially in the Opening of Underground Water, as water spots can turn up as well

Get some repels and walk where the water is off screen. Took me less than 5 minutes to get him.

Wait, WHAT? Did you grind to level 64 for the Elite 4? At least it was the rematch against them, right?

Well the team i used in Black were as follows..I cant exactly remember how they did but yeah

Samurott: well put simply. Managed to take a few hits and deal them out too. pretty slow but i had the aqua jet also the mono water typing only gave 2 weakness and one of them i could take with an x-scissor. Definately using this when I get in english white.

Zebstrika: yeah this was ok i spose but it had a really bad movepool. Nitro charge(I know its Flame charge) kinda helped with a speed boost and coverage against grass but if im honest this thing wasnt great. Wont be using it in English white.

Sawk:Turned out pretty beastly. Helped out in the second and seventh gym while giving it Level ground,Brick Break, ankle sweep and other things. Was pretty fast earlier on and was pretty good. Might be using it in english white (although ill probably get a Timburr)

Krookodile: Monster. Was pretty Good base stage and first evo stage. truly wrecked stuff. was very good at soloing trainers regardless of typing because of the Moxie Boost. Definately getting this Mofo in English white.

Scholipede: Has an Awesome Cry! This thing was pretty good in game. Bug Bite and Poison Tail (Then X-scissor) proved nice moves as well as getting Level Ground. Its Speed was enough to revenge kill with retaliate. It had pretty thin defences though.
was cool but wont be using it in english white.

Final member was...Pidove...only to fly. couldnt get Bravairy as i was playing black but i will be getting bravairy as well as Gigalith and Conkeldurr (The slow but Mighty powerhouses) also Might get myself a darumakka for a solid fire type or Scraggy (Both are examples of cute pokes...That turn into badass ones) but seeing as i will have a fighting type in conkeldurr and a dark type in Krookodile i will probs not get one

On a recent runthrough, I used Reuniclus. Admittedly, I traded for an egg at the beginning of the game, so my opinion could be biased.

At the point where you get him normally, he'll be needing some solid grinding to get to the levels of your team. Then, you struggle quite a bit while he's Daburan, since it isn't very hard to kill unless you give it Evo Stone, in which case you have to sac lucky egg. After he evolves into Reuniclus, it gets a lot easier, as he can take hits easily, and can use Recover nicely as well.

In conclusion, keep him in Mid.

Side note: What do people think of Kojondo? If I were to trade myself an egg at the beginning of the game(with some good egg moves obv.), how would he fare?

Yep, it was a Jiheddo on the first time :) No way could I have leveled it to 64. I only managed 50. My team was around that level when I took on the E4 the first time.

If Kojo were obtainable early in the game I'd say high tier. The only reason it's not god tier is that evolves REALLY late.

If you could get it at say, level 20, then your moves would be Meditate, Detect, Fake Out, and Doubleslap. That's not really the best the best moveset for a few levels until you get Force Palm. o: But I guess it's still pretty good... The thing is, Kojofu is so good at the level you get him because of his moves at that level. If you get him at level 37, he gets Jump Kick. Even before that, Drain Punch and Force Palm aren't that bad. You don't get STAB on any moves until level 29. Getting him earlier on would be better, I guess, but it'd be a little tougher as opposed to waiting for the 7th gym.
