Introduction
------------------------------
HI SMOGOON! ARE YOU READYY?

First of all. Did you know that Inglorious Basters is awesome movie!

So, after my old team "Luce, Use the Force" I have read articles and investigate different pokemons and combos. One specially combo which i minded a lot was Bronzong/Vaporeon, but because I love offensive play style I just little bit changed that combo. But without longer talks, here's the team:

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Ability | Sand Veil
EVs | 252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 Atk
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SpA)
- U-Turn
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Taunt

***

This is wonderful Heartbre-... Umm, i mean Stallbreaker! But the real thing why it's in this team is for it's ability to wall Lucario and Gliscor, which are quite big threats to me. Taunt is lovely against Blissey, i just can taunt it and spam EQ till the end. Gliscor helps so much other team members and it has earned his place in my team. It can easily wall Scarfed Heatran which is the most common Shaymin counter. Also it's immune to Electric and Ground moves, so it can take Thunderbolts etc. which are aimed to Suicune and same for Ground moves.

EVs are for outspeeding Jolly Lucario and OHKO it with Earthquake. Also it's a bit bulky.

Lead Threat List:

Pokemon highlighted in a green = Easy orange = Troublesome red = Difficult
dpiconani482.gif
| Azelf: I Break sash with U-Turn on Tyranitar and set-up.

dpiconani376.gif
| Metagross:
Easy~ Earthquake is an OHKO.
dpiconani385.gif
|Jirachi:
Earthquake is 1-2OHKO, i'm not sure.
dpiconani142.gif
|Aerodactyl:
I break Sash with U-Turn and finish with Suicune.
dpiconani260.gif
|Swampert:
Well, normally i U-Turn on Shaymin and OHKO. I hope it doesn't use Ice Beam, because it hurts Shaymin badly.
dpiconani235.gif
| Smeargle:
I Break Sash, switch on Shaymin to absorb Sleep, Switch to Nape and hope that it doesn't use Spore again.
dpiconani392.gif
|Infernape:
I OHKO with EQ.
dpiconani407.gif
| Roserade:
Again i break sash, switch Shaymin and switch back Nape hopin that Powder misses. :P
dpiconani291.gif
| Ninjask: U-Turn to break Sub and switch to Suicune and set up. Then i hope theres somethin which doesn't beat Suicune.

dpiconani485.gif
| Heatran:
EQ is an OHKO.

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability | Levitate
EVs | 252 HP / 36 Atk / 220 SpD
IVs | 0 Spe
Sassy Nature (+SpD, -Spe)
- Gyro Ball
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Stealth Rock

***

Teams supportter Structure and beginning of the team. But jeah, analysis. Gyro Ball is hard hitting STAB move, which get more power from Macho Brace, man that really hits hard! Earthquake is normal move. It hits hard to Steels, nothing special to say about it. :P Stealth Rock is for supporting other team adn Trick is for crippling sweeppers, like Gyarados. Really, theres so many switch i could make with this guy, his really hard to knock out!

Nature, Atk EVs and 0 Spe IVs are for giving extra power to Gyro Ball. And Defenses are making it a bit more Bulky. I really dont have much to say.

Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability | Pressure
EVs | 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Surf
- Calm Mind
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power
ElectricIC_Big.png

***

Yeah, second part of teams main idea; combo between Brongzong and Suicune. Machamp is easily walled by Suicune, I made some calculations and Max Attack Dynamic Punch makes only 35.6% - 42.3% damage. Suicune is at the same time very bulky and very powerful, coupled with nice set-up move Calm Mind it's almost unstoppable and pokemon which would stop it i had KOd with ScarfTar. Suicune also has wonderful synergy with other team mates. ScarfTran which stops Shaymin is easily checked by Suicune and Brongzongs Fire Weakness is easily covered by Suicune. It's all about synergy, right?

Suicune also is important check to Dragons which are scared by Ice Beam. Surf i an important powerful STAB move. EVs are shared so i can outspeed that troublesome Lucario and KO it with Surf. Others are dumbed for bulkiness and power.

Spr_4h_248.png

Tyranitar @ Babiri Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs | 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Crunch
- Dragon Dance
- Fire Punch
- Stone Edge

***

But anyway, it was clear option because it removes almost all CM Suicunes counter. Starmie Check, Rotom Check, Gengar Check, etc. Also, it have very good synergy with Infernape by checking common infernapes counters and Gliscor profit from Sands Stream. I told before that Lucario is big threat to me, so Tyranitar can revenge kill it too. Tyranitar is so useful to me, i'm lovin' it. I had bad Stall Weakness and 2 Scarfer was a bad idea, so Twist of Fate Suggested using DD Tar over ScarTar. I decided to use Fire Punch over Earthquake it gives me another chance to counter CB Scizor which can be troublesome. This can set-up against those stallers and begin to sweep.

EVs are (again) straight from Smogon. :P
It has to be fast on strong.

Spr_4p_392.png
Bag_Life_Orb_Sprite.png

Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability | Blaze
EVs | 252 Atk / 58 SpA / 200 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SpD)
- Fire Blast
- Stone Edge
- U-Turn
- Close Combat

***

Choice Scarfed Anti-Lead nape is awesome. Normally people thought it's Focus Sash variation and there they do a big mistake. Infernape is extremely powerful, his Overheat gets a massive 210 Base Power after STAB and everyone who doesn't resist it starts to cry. Close Combat is my second powerful STAB attack hitting with 180 Bas Power. Hidden Power Ice is for KO Lead Gliscor and Anti-lead Dragonite, but it's also good way to revenge kill DD Dragonite and Salamence in late game. HP Ice is there primarily for Gliscor and Dragonite leads, but also makes a handy Ice attack to hit DDmence with, even after a dance thanks to Scarf. U-Turn has pointed to really useful move. I can scout, break sashes and run away slower pokemons which are dangerous for my Ape.

With 192 Speed EVs im allow to outspeed Salamence with +1 Speed. Special attack is maxed to do massive damage with Overheat and last EVs are dumbed to Attack to hit hard with CC and U-Turn.

Yeah, was my lead, but Frankys suggestion to Swap Gliscor and Infernape has showed for good little change and it has helped me. 200 Spe EVs are for outspeeding other Infernapes. U-Turn is always great scouting move, but i only have to beware using it too much. Life Orb is for power of course. Theres not much to say and i'm tired so i dont write more analysis.

Spr_4p_492.png
Bag_Life_Orb_Sprite.png

Shaymin @ Life Orb
Ability | Natural Cure
EVs | 32 HP / 252 SpA / 224 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Seed Flare
- Hidden Power
FireIC_Big.png

- Earth Power
- Rest

***

Aww~ Shaymin is so cute. :3
Shaymin may not have the greatest support moves out of all of the possible choices in OU, but as a Special Sweeper, it can shine. Leech Seed is a decent move, but it's really situational, and I'd rather go for coverage than wall breaking, as the rest of my team deals with stall well enough. Two, I really like the idea of abusing Natural Cure with Rest because Synthesis is ruined in Sandstorm. I chose this over Celebi for the following reasons: one, Shaymin's main counter is Heatran, while Celebi's is Scizor. This set is made to lure in Heatran and OHKO him with Earth Power, as well as lure in dragons like Salamence and Flygon. Think of this as the "Tinkerbell" set for Shaymin. Seed Flare causes tons of switches, and doesn't power down my Special Attack, like Leaf Storm does. Plus, I can beat Blissey one on one, if it lacks Toxic - how cool is that?

Seed Flare is an amazing STAB move that makes any switch in fear it, regardless if it resists it, thanks to the -2 SpD drops it causes. Earth Power OHKO's Heatran, who naturally would wall and OHKO Shaymin otherwise. HP Fire hits Scizor for OHKO, who would normally OHKO this set with U-Turn. Rest Natural Cure Combo is nice for Restoring HP. EV's maximize Special Attack and Speed, while Timid outruns and OHKO things like Lucario 100% of the time.

Conclusion
------------------------------
Yup, heres the end. I hope you enjoyd what you read. :) I love this team and these guys. They have so fantastic synergy and they are so lovely, especially the cutie Shaymin. :3

I edit Biggest Threats and other information in the end some day. I'm so tired now, i writed this twice, because my account logged out once when i was writing. :/

Spr_4p_437.png

So, i was interested about Bronzong and bulky water combo very surprising that Bronzong is first pokemon which i picked. \o/ Bronzong is an awesome pokemon and very interesting. There's so many way to use it and you cant be 100% sure which variation it's so opponents have to be on his toes.

Second I needed that Bulky Water...

Spr_4p_437.png
Spr_4h_245.png

I have used both of commons bulky water; Suicune and Vaporeon. I decided to take Suicune because like i told, i love offensive playstyle! Suicune is way more offensive than Vaporeon and with CM set-up it's very difficult to take down.

Spr_4p_437.png
Spr_4h_245.png
Spr_4p_492.png

Now i thought good Grass Type Pokemon will be wanted. I had two canditants; Celebi and Shaymin. I haven't used either of them, but i knew that Celebi is used more stalling and i read some RMTs and research some information and i found that Shaymin is so cute and small but at the same time very dangerous and pure destroyer. Man, Shaymin is a Terminator!

Spr_4p_437.png
Spr_4h_245.png
Spr_4p_492.png
Spr_4h_248.png

I Found that Special Sweeper runned over my team and I needed a trapper. Tyranitar came in my mind, because same time it's really good Trapper and it helps a lot Suicune, because it can Trap and KO pokemons which normally walls or stops Suicune, like Rotom-A and Starmie.

Spr_4p_492.png
Spr_4h_248.png
Spr_4p_392.png

Because i picked EQ over Superpower on Tyranitar, i needed good Physical Fighting move. There was 2 options; Machamp and Infernape. I decided to use Infernaper 'cause it fits into my lead role and same time it's important Mixed Attacker. It's good Revenge Killer too.

I needed something to cover my SD Lucario and CB Scizor weakness, so i decided to use Gliscor. Gliscor fits perfectly in my team.

Biggest Threats
------------------------------

dpiconani121.gif
| Starmie
Starmie, especially Scarfed Starmie has shown hard to handle. Only Suicune can easily take Hydro Pump, other take big damage (min. 35%). Usually i have sacrifased Bronzong adn boomed Starmie away. Sometimes Starmie is difficult sometimes not. I can try to maneuver and bring Tyranitar in when SS is on to Thunerbolt or Ice Beam (17% - 20.2%) and set-up myself. Normally then Starmie switch out give second free set-up and then it's my victory.

I like the synergy this team has with its various typings and resistances. The only real issue I see is the gaping stall weakness you have. Dual Scarfers isn't helping you at all in the stall-weak department, and a simple core of Blissey / Gyarados or Starmie / Swampert / Rotom-form walls your entire team. Shaymin is your only real hope against opposing stall teams, but Seed Flare's PP will just be stalled and then you can't do anything unfortunately.

The simple switch without changing up much of the team is to turn Tyranitar from the Scarf variant into the Dragon Dance version. You lose out on the initla speed and the ability from the onset to check Gengar and Starmie, but I feel that Bronzong and Shaymin do well enough to force them out provided you switch often. Dragon Dance Tyranitar absolutely decimates current stall teams without Hippowdon because Swampert gets worn-down quite fast, and the flexibility in dealing with other common Pokemon on stall teams is too good to pass up.

Thanks for rate Twist of Fate. Honest, i didn't liked idea having 2 Choice Scarf users in my team so that's why your idea sounded pretty good. Now after quick testing, it has show for a great idea. I hope and i think that would help me with my stall weakness. :)

Now i have changed my Tyranitars set, so gimme moar rates! 8)

I could see a scarfed starmie being a huge problem for your team if its ran as a lead.

Given the appropriate attack, Hydro / Ice B / T-bolt / Trick

Could T-bolt Sui on the incoming for probably at least around 40%-ish. Then could trick it a scarf

Could hit bronzong on the u-turn in w/ Hydro for 35% at least, and would nearly OHKO anything else on your entire team except maybe TTAR due to sandstorm boost.

and Hydro dents the shit out of everything on your team but Cune for more than 35% considering the lead is an infernape a water move isn't at all uncommon.

lets just say best case scenario bringing in Bronzong if it chooses to pump again the least damage your team can get by with is like 70% and if it switches on bronzong fearing a trick or explosion it still remains a very potent revenge killer that your team is weak to.

/E: Ice beam on Gliscor is ohko, ice beam on incoming shaymin could maybe be a 2hko I can't remember the damage calcs from a while ago

Yeah, that Starmie weakness... I have notice it. :/
Starmie really gives me a headache. Almost every case i have to sacrifase somebody to handle it. Any suggestions?

I little changed Bronzongs set and i think it helped a little with that starmie. I changed item to Leftovers and Trick i replaced with Payback.

Really, i need help. All help is very welcome! :)

Hi Maketsu,

Seems like ToF hit the nail properly, a well-played stall can circle this team. A simple change to look for without changing the entire start of the match for you is swapping Gligar and Infernape, and tweaking Infernape's set to a simple physical Life Orb set with U-turn. This means going for the EV spread 252/56/200. 200 Spe ensures that you outpace opposing Ape who run 196 -- it will be problematic for you once Suicune is gone. For the movesets Close Combat / U-turn / Fire Blast / Stone Edge. U-turn ensures you scout out its counter, allowing you to prepare for it the entire match. I don't recommend using it a lot as ss + lo will rack you up some hp too quickly. Physical Ape helps penetrate normal counters such as Vaporeon, essentially letting DD Tyranitar sweep easier now. Swampert is easily weakened anyways as Tof pointed out.

As for other options, strike for that 252 Spe on Gliscor. Speed is the most important stat in the game, you don't want to risk speed-tieing. If you're not feeling Suicune with Speed + Bulky (which is not effective from experience). Strike for a simple 252spa/252spe spread. To be honest, you can help yourself tie with enemy Timid Suicune and also beat Rotom who invest just enough to beat Adamant Luke instead of Speed-tieing it. The offensive set will give you enough umph to trouble bulky offensive teams, I know this from experience. You'll only miss out on checking Salamence better I guess, but Bronzong is there for that. Lastly, look for Explosion over Payback. If all else fails, and you really need to remove a Starmie, Explosion will fix the issue. Further, Explosion also has its uses outside of Starmie and it can make a pretty good hole opener (assuming you catch something like Swampert or Vaporeon). overall gl.

Hi Franky, thanks for a rate a lot.

I swapped places of Nape and Gliscor and changed Movesets. Nape is like you recommended but on Gliscor i changed U-Turn/SR/Roost/EQ I think i dont need Taunt, because Stealth Rock isn't problem for my team, i have 0 weakness.

Now Gliscor has SR i can give Hypnosis for Brongzong and i replaced Payback with Boom. I have now tested these changes a bit and i'm really satisfied. :)
And also i use 252 Spe/SpA on Suicune now on.

Tawp, i alreadt swapped Gliscor to my lead.

I have updatet my team, so now i'm waiting for rates. ;)

Hi.

Since Gliscor now sets up Stealth Rock, it isn't needed on Bronzong anymore which frees up a slot I believe you can utilize to improve the team furthermore. Instead of SR on Bronzong, I would reccomend using Hidden Power Ice. With HP Ice, Bronzong becomes an excelent Salamence check (make sure you don't switch into Fire Blast though). After SR and one turn of Life Orb damage, Salamence is OHKOed by HP Ice. HP Ice also turns Bronzong into a solid Flygon and Gliscor counter. After the removal of Scarf on Tyranitar, Starmie becomes a lot more threatening, that's why I would reccomend using this EV Spread on Bronzong: 252 HP / 36 Atk / 220 SpDef. The EVs allow Bronzong to survive two consecutive Hydro Pump from Life Orb Starmie while you 2HKO with Payback. So assuming you play right, Starmie should be easy to handle. In addition, with these EVs, Bronzong is never OHKOed by a combination of Brick Break + Fire Blast from MixMence.

On Shaymin, HP Fire is lowering your Speed IV, so there is no need to max out Speed since you are not able to tie with base 100 Speed Pokemon. Just go for: 32 HP / 252 SpA / 224 Spe. With the given HP EVs, you reach 349. This allows you to use Life Orb 11 times as opposed to 10.

Other than that, I don't have anything else to say as other raters have already covered the Stall weakness.

Hello Maketsu,

I see you switched Gliscor and Infernape's position, which seems reasonable. I just want to suggest keeping Stealth Rock on Bronzong in tandem with your other current moves. This way you can give Gliscor Taunt and not make it setup fodder for stall. The moveset for Gliscor is the following: EQ | Roost | Taunt | U-turn. Since Bronzong is already setup fodder why make another of your pokes it.

On Suicune, I second using the Offensive variant with 4 HP | 252 SpA | 252 Spe, b/c the power difference it provides is nice and it still checks Gyarados. Keep lefties on it though.

Now for the nitpicks, using Explosion over Payback is a good idea as mentioned by Franky, but isn't needed if you prefer catching the Ghost switch-in and getting rid of Starmie. Also, I think a Special MixApe would be better for this team, since Grass Knot can catch Swampert and Hippowdon (primary counters to DDtar). You might say you have Shaymin, but no one thats smart is leaving them on it. It also hits Rotom much harder. The only thing that holds me back is the usefulness of U-turn, and anyways choosing between Physical and Special is more of a personal preference at this point imo.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

First of all, thanks for rates Nosferalto and Enz0

Nosferalto: Yeah, i have already removed SR from Brongzong, i only hasn't edited it or i just have forgot it. :)
Now I have Hypnosis in that slot, but i think it's not forth of it. So i'll try using HP Ice immediately. Salamence especially has been not well enough checked so this would help with that beast a lot. That EV Spread on Brongzong sounds good too. Then i just have to more careful with switching in Physical Moves. I think i use that EV spread, but i'll run Explosion over Payback because then Starmie is defintely gone and it's really good hole opening. But now i have little problem, which one should i pick; HP Ice or Steath Rock and Run Taunt on Gliscor.

Oh, good point that Shaymins max speed. I defintely change it, because now i'm just wasting those EVs.

Enz0: ^^ I mentioned that small problem. Which one i fear more, Salamence or Stallers. :P Though decision. I have think it a while and test it which one fits better.

Same on Suicune, i have used 252 SpA/Spe spread but i haven't edited it. :D
I mentioned it too on my last post.

I have to think that Infernape too because Hippowdown adn Swampert haven't been trouble at all. With a bit of stradegy they cant even scratch me. But let me think and test it a bit. It sounds good too and imo U-Turn isn't really important on my Infernape. It's almost only for scouting Counters.

Thank for rates. I edit later those things which i mentioned in this post. Keep on rating guys! :)

LO starmie can cripple this team. The only thing that doesn't get hit hard is bronzong and he has no instant recovery. Maybe switching bronzong for scizor? Maybe a bulkiesh one to take starmies hits but enough power to KO the troublesome sea star. If you want to keep bronzong, that's fine but you no longer have a reliable starmie counter.

?Earthquake would be a definite 1 hit KO on Metagross, but you aren't sure if it would be a 2 hit Ko on Jirachi? Metagross has higher Defense

First off, Gliscor does not need 252 Spe EVs to outspeed Jolly Luke, it needs 216. The strategyDex clearly stats that. You then need 40 Atk EVs, just dump extra spe EVs into atk, so EQ is an easy OHKO. Please read and know the facts before posting and acting like you knew.

Most Pert Leads are used as Death Fooders, they get rocks and hit a poke hard and usually die or maybe even switch. While it may be likely that Pert will Ice beam, it's very unlikely. You could always use Taunt first turn to make sure Pert can't lay rocks, and if it Ice Beams you, you die and get free switch in with Shaymin. Very bad strategy but it does keep Shaymin alive.

Luke isn't really a threat unless you allow it to sweep you. Honestly, the only way that would happen is if both Gliscor and TTar are out. Gliscor takes the +2 ES and OHKOs with EQ. Or just outspeeds the Ice Punch and OHKOs with EQ.
Here's how it would go down.
You switch out PokemonX
Yout send in Gliscor
Luke uses Swords Dance
Luke uses ES and does 51.1% - 60.5% (yikes)
Gliscor used EQ and does 102.5% - 121.7% (only with the EV spread I suggested. If you keep the one you have you do like 90% and die)
To show Gliscors EQ power, I'll give Max Def Luke V EQ from Gliscor = 61.6% - 73.3%. Of course, the odds of seeing a Max Def Luke is like... 0.0000001/2. Honestly, it's just a gag. It can easily come out and SD on switch to Gliscor, absorb the EQ and Ice Punch for KO... Might have to try that... Don't tell anyone.

Luke = checked. Do make sure Shaymin isn't out and you switch to Gliscor... their using Ice Punch or HP Ice.

I'll be the first to say it, I hope so at least, with no real check to Mence, Shaymin will get obliterated in Standard. And becuase you haven't specified that you're playing in Suspect, if it's still around, than Shaymin is totally garbage. The only real check you have is Suicune. But what if it's not MixMence but DD Mence. Let me break it down for ya.

You withdraw PokemonX
You switch in Suicune
Mence uses DD
Mence uses Outrage and does 100.3% - 118.4%. Raped.
From there Mence rapes your entire team hitting Nape for 194.5% - 229.4% with EQ, Gliscor with Outrage for 119.8% - 141.5%, Shaymin with Outrage for 127.2% - 150%, TTar with EQ for 155% - 182.5%, and Bronzong with Outrage for 60.7% - 71.6%. You really need to drop Cune for a ScarfMie so you can revenge kill Mence who sweeps your entire team no problem.

Orly, please read "Biggest Threats" And Scizor wont help at all. With 244 HP / 168 SpD and Careful Nature LO Hydro Pump is 2HKO, but my Brongzong loses "only" 41.7% - 49.1% so without SR it's 3HKO, which means i can come in and boom it away.

?Earthquake would be a definite 1 hit KO on Metagross, but you aren't sure if it would be a 2 hit Ko on Jirachi? Metagross has higher Defense
Yeah, they was only estimates. :P I Cheked and both of them are 2HKO with EQ.

Lucien: Swamperts Ice Beam is an 3HKO on my Shaymin, what means i can come in and OHKO with Seed Flare and use Rest Heal after that. That's pretty risky strategy too, if opponent switch in faster pokemon.

Uff, i hate Salamence. Hope his going on Ubers... Btw, +1 Outrage makes 50.6% - 59.5% on Brongzong. So, if Salamence Appears i hope my Brongxong is alive, switch it in DD and Explode it. Perfect Strategy.
