Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Was able to connect, but I tried again in game and the issue is still there. So it might be best to leave it be for the night and see what happens.

Eh probably a good idea. Hopefully if I input my home connection settings it wont interfere so I can still do other things too. At least I dont have a bunch of stuff I'm wanting to trade off.

I'm running into that problem as well. Was trying to check 6 eggs and it wasn't showing anything at all in regards to stats (last time I was able to get on (which was a little bit before the connection issues)). Then Instacheck would connect, and then wouldn't connect in game.

Could they have patched it now? That's my best guess.

They haven't patched it because I can consistently run it. First off. When the Ds disconnects from the hotspot for any reason you have to reset the hotspot completely. I find this means hitting delete connection on the Ds' connection settings. then setting the connection up again.

Also a known issue. If instacheck is scanning when you try to connect the game to the internet, the game will not connect, and you will be forced to reset the hotspot just to make it work.

As for not displaying any results. You need to do a couple of things.

A. Set the"frequency" on the drop down box to the wireless adaptor you use to run the hotspot.
B. Press start scanning before anything is shown in the trade if you want to see the results. You can start the scan while the Ds says communicating without issue. scanning after something is shown will not display results until something new is shown.

When I have to turn off, close or exit out of the game on my 3DS I stop running the hotspot, then reactivate it once more to re-connect to the internet through it.

Yea but I won't do that. I need the other connection. Can't just rely on that ONE connection. I only use it to check eggs. Period.
You can simply re-enter your other information after you finish using Instacheck if Instacheck's connection is on the 2 connection and your normal settings for your 3ds were the first. It's a hassle, but I'm pretty sure most have to do it too.

I have to delete my home net whenever I want to run instacheck, so I tend to run it for a very long time. When I need to disconnect and use the home net I have to re-enter all the data. Its a necessary inconvenience for running instacheck.

I just said that, the only other thing you can try is disabling the second wireless which is instacheck and enabling when you need to. Other than that, you're out of luck.
Edit: I'm not saying it's not a hassle, I'm just saying to me it's minor and we all know the program has it's flaws.

I did that and it didn't work. So it seems as if something's up tonight. Did the usual deleting on the second try as well and it was a no go.

Ah. Might try that.

Got it. You just have to start instacheck itself for it to connect.
Sounds like you were testing the connection through the DS settings. When you do that, and then go back into the game, you have to restart the hotspot again. Your DS disconnects from the internet in that short time you go from the settings to the game, requiring a restart of the hotspot. Sounds like that fixed it for you though...maybe.

What is it that you get when you do so? Just a blank instacheck screen?
It wouldn't connect all I got was the usual 'connecting to the internet' in game. This is after I restarted the hotspot. And started instacheck. So I had to shut the game off via the power button.

It wasn't scanning. I hadn't turned that part of it on. It was just trying to get online in game and it wouldn't even do that.

Ah. Thanks. Will remember to do that next time, if the program starts to work on my end again.

Hello everyone, my instant check isn't working but i would really love to check the shiny values of my eggs. Are there any nice people who would be willing to check the shiny values of my Eevee eggs? I can give you a few if you want. Thanks
