It's Raining Frogs!

Well, hope that got your attention. I made an OU Rain Dance team, but with some UU Pokemon. Please rate, it'll be really appreciated.

Here you go...

"Pud-DING!"
Impish
252 HP, 252 Def, 6 Atk

Stealth Rock
Rain Dance
Trick Room
Earthquake/Light Screen

My starter. As of now, EQ is my only attacking move, I decided to Max out its Defense and HP. Rain Dance will last 8 turns. It's also my starter for another reason: If I face Hippo/Tar/Abomasnow, I can make sure the weather is gone by setting up Rain Dance. Trick Room is there for Politoed and Octillery. Even w/o it though, my other team members still work fine.

"Sharp Shooter"
Lonely
Swift Swim
252 Atk, 240 Sp Atk, 16 Spe

HP Electric
Surf
Ice Beam
Waterfall

My 1st rain abuser. Surf for STAB, Waterfall for Bliss. Ice Beam for Dragons and Gliscor, HP Electric for Gyara.

"My BIggest Finger is the Bad Sign"
Adamant
Dry Skin
252 Atk, 52 Spe, 100 HP, 100 Def

Stone Edge
Sucker Punch
Brick Break
Swords Dance

My 2nd Rain Abuser. With those EVs in HP and Defense plus Leftovers and Dry Skin, this Croak can stand up too weak-average neutral hits. It also heals 18% of its health every turn.

rsitem164.png
"Look into my eyes..."
Calm
252 HP, 200 Sp Def, 52 Sp Atk

Focus Blast
Toxic
Perish Song
Hypnosis

My Special Wall. Hopefully, this will be better than Roserade. No need for another Water Attack, I already have plenty of strong STAB ones from Kingdra and Ludicolo. Hypnosis for sleep and Perish Song for shuffling.

rsitem162.png
"Critillerry"
Modest
Suction Cups/Sniper
252 HP, 252 Sp Atk, 6 HP

Surf
HP Electric
Energy Ball
Focus Energy

You may not know it, but Octillery has a great movepool and stats screaming Mixed Sweeper, but its extremely slow. Therefore, I pass Speed from Ninjask to this guy so he can sweep. When I switch in on a NVE hit, I usually scare away the opponent. I Focus Energy on the switch and I now have a 1 in 3 chance of getting a CH. Also, I'm not sure though, is it better getting Triple Damage in a CH or making sure you don't get roared away. Please help me pick.

272-f.png
rsitem164.png
"Ludy"
Calm
Swift Swim
204 HP, 224 Sp Def, 80 Sp Atk

Surf
Giga Drain
Leech Seed
Rain Dance

My 3rd Rain Abuser. I'm using a Drainer/Sp Wall ATM. Surf and Giga Drain for STAB. I'm also thinking of giving Ludi Rain Dance just to back up Zong in case he needs to explode early.

Back-Ups

rsitem164.png
"Zoom!"
Modest
252 Spe, 252 Sp Atk, 6 HP

Swords Dance
Substitute
HP (Electric/Ice/Fighting)
Baton Pass

Max Sp Atk Ninjask you ask? It's for surprising common switch-ins. Electric for Taunting Gyaras and Skarm (both a 2HKO on Bulky Gyara and min Sp Def Skarm) Ice for Dragons (all 2HKOs on min sp Def) and Fighting (OHKO Weavile, 2HKO Tar) Other than that, provides power for Croak and Speed for Octillery

121.png
rsitem164.png
"Holly"
Timid
172 HP, 120 Sp Atk, 216 Spe

Surf
Thunder
Recover
Rapid Spin

Your basic spinner.

rsitem164.png
"Luna Quack"
Modest
252 Sp Atk, 60 HP, 212 Spe

Calm Mind
Ice Beam
Psychic/HP Electric
Moonlight/Rest

My CMer. HP Electric's better than Charge Beam since CM already raises Sp Atk. Rest might work in conjunction with Roserade's Aromatherapy.

407-f.png
rsitem164.png
"Hidden Thorn"
Modest
252 Spe, 252 Sp Atk, 6 HP

Weather Ball
Toxic Spikes
Leaf Storm
Aromatherapy

My Aromatherapist. I noticed Ninjask wasn't really doing any good, so I replaced him. I Aromatherapy when Grass weak Pokemon switch out excpecting a Leaf Storm. I also have Toxic Spikes for walls like Suicune I have a major problem with. Weather Ball also becomes a 100 BP Attack in Rain.

Threat List

Metagross: Kingdra, Ludicolo and Toxicroak too some extent. First 2 can kill with Surf, Toxicroak can kill it with Cross Chop if weakened.
Heracross: Kingra can KO it in 1-2 moves and Politoed can sleep non-Restalkers.
Gyarados: HP Electric from Kingdra.
Blissey: Toxicroak. Waterfall from Kingdra also kills it.
Cresselia: Politoed can poison it, Bronzong can outstall it and Toxicroak can kill a weakened Cress with Sucker Punch. Kingra also kills this with Waterfall for Special variants.
Tyranitar: Focus Blast from Toed on an incoming T-Tar, Cross Chop from Croak and STAB Surfs from Octillerry, Kingdra and Ludicolo (in Rain).
Heatran, Hippowdon, Infernape, Metagross, Garchomp, Rhyperior, Tangrowth: Dies to STAB Surf or Ice Beam.
Forretress: Flamethrower
Electivire and Raikou: Electric Types I have problems with. Hopefully Bronzong can take a hit and kill them with EQ.

There's my team. Please rate!

Toxicroack go

Adamant, 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP
Cross Chop
Stone Edge
Sucker Punch
Swords Dace

Kingdra needs rain dance, and enough speed (88 EVs) to outrun scarfchomp, other wise people will send out Tyranitar to sandstorm whore you and fuck you with Garchomp.

Great Team

Hey ummm Isaac, ur team is basically a solid team that can OWN anyone if used correctly. You should go on wi-fi, battle me and test this team out :D

5*

But, I still own you. And pwn you.

Editted Zong and added Toed. If I'm right, there's another team which also uses Trick Room and Rain, I'm sorry if you consider this idea copying, but withouot Trick Room, Octillery is a dead weight. Also, I noticed that if there is no Rain, my team is actually fairly slow too. Please rate some more! :)

16 HP EVs on Kingdra need to change to speed.

Leftovers>Black Sludge on Toxicroak because Trickers can Trick more than once, which if it Tricks Black Sludge onto Ludicolo or something, you will die horribly.

Bumped. Editted the team and added a threat list. May I have anyone elses opinion specifically on the team or the strategy behind it?

your octoboy has 258 Hp ev's which is obviously wrong also what item is it holding I'm not to falmiliar with pictures of items

I would imagine they are Scope Lens by looking at the moveset and ability but I do understand that some people don't look at clues.

Anyways your team is really weak on the special side and I think you should add Blissey in there to remedy this. She can support with Aromatherapy in case your Bronzong gets slept and your Kingdra gets paralyzed, etc. Plus your team is really weak to Specs pokemon like Heatran/Gengar if you don't get Rain Dance set up in time.

If your opponent starts off with tauntados, your Bronzong is kind of screwed. You could add that to your threat list.

On Ludicolo, you might have better recovery with Giga Drain for your Grass attack and Big Root for your item. Big Root isn't better than Leftovers if you only have Leech Seed, but with both Giga Drain and Leftovers draining health, it might be worth it.

k, ty. I editted Ludicolo, as of know, its a drainer.

TauntDos though, can't I just switch in Kingdra when it taunts and then send it to oblivion with HP Electric?

Looking through at what could cause problems for the pokemon you've listed in the main team, after reading the "oh I'll so own you" posts I thought about the hail team I have... and realized, yeah Abomasnow could royaly mess you up. Blizzard is easily resisted by the waters, but even among your back-ups only Toxicroak and Octillery have moves that aren't resisted by Aboma, whose Snow Warning totally neutralizes any attempts at rain. I don't know about other uses of Aboma, but I know I carry Tentacruel to take its hits; aside from HP electric it laughs at your octillery's moves, and Toxicroak's only NVE move v. Tentacruel is sucker punch, but aside from rapid spinning something I know I wouldn't be attacking with it...

Other thoughts...
Do you really need that many water attacks? As in, would the rain boost warrant the slot for Surf over other possible attacks? In particular, I wonder about Octillery. It's got so many more options, you team really needs better coverage.

Hmm, I guess the water attacks are for STAB. Octillery can actually beat Blissey one on one with some lucky critical hits.

Kingdra needs both Water attacks; Surf as its general STAB; Waterfall for Blissey. I could replace Waterfall though, since Octillery and Toxicroak take care of Bliss. What can I replace it with?

And yeah, Aboma may cause some problems, but a quick Flamethrower or Brick Break will scare it off. And, which is why another reason I lead with Bronzong.

Can I hear everyones suggestions? TY.

"My BIggest Finger is the Bad Sign"
Adamant
Dry Skin
252 Atk, 52 Spe, 100 HP, 100 Def

Poison Jab
Sucker Punch
Brick Break
Swords Dance

If you're sticking with the 'sturdy' Toxicroak set, I'd put those 100 defense EVs into HPs to maximize his Dry Size/Leftovers/Blacksludge. Also consider Stone Edge over Poison Jab for far superior coverage. Brick Break is tough to consider over Cross Chop, but the accuracy improvement is warranted.

Sticking with Adamant nature, consider 72 EVs into speed to have him outspeeding standard Bulky Gyarados if you indeed go with Stone Edge. Adamant Toxi does 80%-95% if you factor in one Sword Dance for him, and Intimidate by Gyara coming in. Any field damage, and he's done in. Salamence (4 hp 0 defense) shared a similar fate, but is actually easily OHKOed.

Hope this helps, good luck.
