It's 5-7-5 in Japanese mora. Traditional way of doing it that sometimes wasn't even followed, but was the easiest way to translate to English format so people just ran with it. Its a choice. Rereading it I messed up the juxtaposition and made a part rhyme which was a screw up. Td;lr don't make a post at 5 am so you don't have to research haikus like it's highschool again.but u typed it in english
