I wanted to do Careful Altarias, lol. Gotta love that sprite. I don't care what you do though, Flurries. Also I assume you meant RSE Ball (singular), or am I missing something?

Just got to 40 on Slowpoke! Then got another shiny before even resetting the radar! I got 5 early shinies, which I believe is a personal record. I got them at 17, 21, 22, 39 and 40. 17 is tied for the earliest I've ever gotten a shiny in a chain. So far I've elected to catch all 6 shinies in Dive Balls, while using a Relaxed synch. The first shiny was Calm with embarrassing IV's, and it filled my party. I'll update when I'm done with the chain probably.

Edit: In other news, I'm retarded and obliterated a shiny with a Poison Fang from a Lv. 56 Crobat while I was zoning out. Oops.
 
i was just wondering about something.. it seems my chains NEVER break with patches located directly horizontal or vertical to me. e.g. (0,4) (4,0) always break directly diagonal tho e.g. (4,4)

was wondering if anyone tried this and if ur guys chains break on these patches?

broke my phanpy at 17~ hehe~ obey the grid!!!~~ o_O
 
This is stressful.... I'm on chain # 38 now. Hope I get to 40. 0_0 If not, my ds may be making a loud thud against my wall in the near future....

Nice, tennis! Sometimes I just really paranoid and reset for shinies on 39 and 40, like I did with this Slowpoke chain. Don't let your guard down now! Good luck to you sir.

EDIT: shiny gloom #2 has arrived. Let's see if I can get this one. Got it! This one I caught in a dusk ball.

0.0.... 3hrs, for that... ah well, I guess I'll use the timid one personally only. May have another go at it tomorrow if I get bored. To bad my chain broke on a floatzel's patch I accidentally stepped on. :(
 
Chain broke. D: Ah well, atleast I know that I can chain now. Thanks diesel! Your guide turned a crappy chainer whose chains averaged at about 10 to a decent chainer who finally caught a shiny!

How do you guys get so lucky and get such early shiny patches. My earliest one was like 26 on Nincada, and that only happened once to me...
 
Earliest was 19 on a Machop, rofl :(
But it was a Failchop, single digits across the board and Serious nature, ended up releasing it.
Yesterday earliest Bronzor was at 29.
 
Does anyone know if direct 4 aways can be safe if no other patches are connected or in a line with each other. I've already tested this about 5 or 6 times even at a chain in the high 30's and it still didn't break. Thanks for any help:)
 
Shelcario - I wouldn't "test" anything with chains in the high 30's, my friend. And I believe the answer is yes, although I don't know if I understand your question properly.

Pimplup - It helps to have a really shitty patch of grass where you have to reset a ton of times to get a decent formation, lol. In reality though, it's not all that great to get early shinies, if you break 40 in your chain it hardly makes a difference. It is exciting and surprising though, kinda like buttsex.
 
Most of it, tbh, lol. Can you edit your last post with an explanation? What's a direct 4-away? What's "in a line" mean? Why would connected/aligned patches make a difference? Yea, I basically don't get it.

This field is such a bitch. I'm on Route 205 (North) and there is almost no safe 4-aways when I stand in the center resetting for shinies. I've had to pass up over 10 shinies, and "gamble" on several other occasions. Anyway, other than that the chain goes well. I'm at 35 shinies thus far.

Relaxed: 24 - 20 Dive Ball'd, 4 Luxury Ball'd
Quiet: 11 - 10 Heal Ball'd, 1 Luxury Ball'd

Those are my results. I'm quite pleased. Nothing too stellar, but legit nonetheless. Sassy was a very pleasant surprise.
 
This morning I got a shiny Electrike on a chain of 1, and right now, while resetting for a shiny patch, I just saw two at the same time!

Luck is on my side today! :naughty:

I just hope it stays with me.
 
@Diesel- That first Slowking is very good. Since it can learn Nasty Plot, you don't need the high Sp.ATK. It has better defenses for survivability, and hey, that attack could be a surprise...?

That first Slowbro is impressive as well.
 
I've gotten about 25 shiny swablu so far on this one chain. I've had to pass atleast 8 shiny patches so far because they were on the edge or next to the boulder. The swablu patch is really small >.<

Diesel - that's a really nice pidgeot, and slowbros.
 
Flurries - Agreed on both. The attack can be used for a fighting move like Focus Punch. Actually though, Nasty Plot allows you to take care of Blissey with prediction. I use Slowking a lot on Shoddy and it's awesome when you force a switch, Plot up, Blissey comes in, you Plot up again, it thinks it can stall you out, and eventually it becomes obvious that you can Surf the shit out of it, so they're crippled and forced to switch or sacrifice.

JerryBeans - Thanks. This is with a Modest synch I'd assume? Tell us the results!
 
The best I've ever chained was a Ponyta that broke at 38. I lost that game, and I'm gonna start chaining on my Diamond.

This is sorta off-topic-ish, but my brother's friend got two shinys just going through the storyline.
 
Still on the chain, I hope it doesn't break anytime soon. I'll post all the results afterwards though, hopefully this batch will bring me a modest swablu that will match my standards =)
