Shelcario - Edit that stupid Bibarel post before my head explodes. Ugh.
Torsoboy - You aren't allowed to start your SBP project until September. However, it wouldn't hurt to get some practice on Dugtrios or Beldums or something. A Duggy would be awesome. Also I've done it plenty of times without 3D glasses, so get some if you can, but if you don't it's certainly still do-able.
Tracker - I hope you're not trying to chain in Route 217, that's physically impossible. As for 216, make sure you're only doing pokemon in flashing patches, they'll show up much better. Try to find what time of day works best in terms of visibility. I can't remember what else, but I didn't find it as hard as the sandstorm.

Hurr hurr. Decided to try my hand at chaining, and since Beldum was the current swarm, I went with that... Took a bit of practice, but I finally got it down and made it past forty. Netted myself seven shinies.
... Unfortunately, there isn't a good one to be found among them. Best one I got was 22/26/14/0/0/27 (Adamant).
Ah, well. Might redo that one some time for a better catch.

If you can chain there, you can chain almost anywhere. Nicely done. I only managed 7 myself, not before it broke from a misstep, but from using up all the Repels. :(

I broke mine headed towards the eighth shiny square... Wasn't paying attention to the other spaces on that radar, unfortunately.
I ran out of Repels, after a full stock of all types, after my 16th shiny encountered/7th shiny caught Beldum.

I managed to keep myself from killing most of mine with Gengar + Hypnosis, but I suppose I just got lucky on mine. Used up a lot of Ethers, though...

Nicely done FalzBlade. Lorak meant you're obviously a good chainer if you can chain in the Sandstorm, so you should feel pretty good about yourself even if you didn't get exactly what you wanted. A respectable shiny nonetheless though. I think I've left a curse or something, my Metagrosses aren't incredible, yet everyone gets really close and never quite beats them. I wish you all would quit trying and chain something I can trade for! ;D

Heh. It didn't seem that hard, but I guess I don't have anything to compare to... I got a hacked Shiny Metagross in a trade just a few days ago [didn't think to fully look it over before trading-- stupid!], so I'd been looking for something usable to replace it. No dice this time, though...
Now I've just got to decide what to shoot for now, since I'm just about tired of Beldum at this point...

Oh, really? Luckily I got side-tracked with trading and the Battle Tower. :P
After tossing out a number of ideas, I decided to run with a Porygon chain, and I found it surprisingly easier than the Beldum chain I ran earlier-- I reached 40 much more comfortably, and in considerably less time. I've got Timid and Modest synchronizers, so hopefully I can keep this one running for a good long time... I just hope I don't end up with a great IV one with Download.
That's an interesting theory, thanks. I got a tyrogue chain on a flashing patch little while back; it's on 12 now.
I had them lying around the house. And I can check which lens it is later. I just close one eye, instead of punching the other one out. I think it was the blue one, offhand, that worked.
Im chaining voltorb atm for a project that got requested. So far I've gotten ONE shiny and wasted over 100 of repels without finding another shiny patch o.o; So yea, stuck on 41 for some hours now =/

I feel your pain. ;_; I've got a tyrogue chain up to 40, and I've been resetting since yesterday night.(on and off) No shinies yet. I've wasted at least 100+ repels. The worst part is, I can't use my ds for anything else while I'm doing this...
Are you only talking about Sandstorm? Every pokemon in the Sandstorm must be chained in flashing patches. If anyone gets to 40 in regular patches I'll give them my entire thread.
Is that a challenge!? :O
