Now this thread isn't about life changing mistakes, nothing serious, just stupid mistakes you might make in your daily life. Some of the more interesting, and when looking back at them, funny mistakes you've made.
I'll start with one of mine.
I think it was around 2 weeks ago, I wake up on a generic sunday morning, walk around the house, eat breakfast, play some video games. Then I realize I need to go get something from the pharmacy, and since it is near the video store, I might as well return the movies I rented a few nights back. I grab my keys and shuffle off to my car. I decide to go to the movie store first, its closed, as most stores are on sunday, but it still has that little slot in which you can return movies. I get out of my car and walk towards the store with movie and keys in hand.
I get up to the slot, still feeling particularly tired, and without really thinking throw the contents of my hand into the slot, of a movie store, which is closed on sundays. Realizing what I had done, I stare down at my hand, then at the slot, almost not being able to comprehend the situation.
I had thrown my car keys into the movie slot.
I then proceeded to yell very loudly for about a minute, not attracting that much attention seeing as the surrounding stores weren't open either. So my current situation, car keys in locked store, car locked, phone in car, surrounding stores not open either so no asking for help that is close, and spare keys at home at least 10 miles away. So I decided there must be a telephone somewhere nearer than my house. So I start walking towards where I know the pharmacy I was heading to is. It was only around 2 miles away, not bad, I get in ask for a phone call my brother tell him to go get my spare keys, he gets them for me and brings them, and drives me to my car. I write a note and throw it into the slot, hopefully they will read it, if not I planned on calling them the next day anyways.
In then end it worked out and I will always remember the feeling of having my stomach hit rock bottom upon my realization of what I had done. Looking back though I think it seemed much worse at the time, and I think it is hilarious.
Anyways lets hear your story if you've got one.
