Pokémon Medicham

Mega medicham is a complete beast pokemon. If you want this beast to shine exceptionally well just use it in sync with a sticky web team. once this poke outspeeds its opponents then they will have a very hard life. the mest moves to use are zen headbutt, bullet punch, hi jump kick and ice punch. if you feel like a beast with that web up you can forget the mere bullet punch and go for bulk up to step things up a notch. This poke is in no way shape or for to be used in UU. it is OU. it will totally destroy every living creature in UU

I have a feeling that maybe.... Just maybe..... Mega medicham will be able to shine its true power in OU now that lucarionite got the boot to ubers, as the only other mega competion that sees real use is mega pinsir.

That flying stab quick attack's going to hurt

Medicham loses to Pinsir yeah, but that's not really the point.

Before, there was not a lot of reason to run Mega Medicham over Mega Lucario. Lucario was faster, could break walls just as easily, had better coverage, had three priority moves including ESpeed, could go special, had a better typing... it was just better, Medicham didn't really have anything over it. But comparing Mega Medicham and Mega Pinsir:

Pros for Pinsir:
105 base speed: outspeeds Thundurus, Landorus, and Garchomp, and doesn't risk a speed tie with base 100's
Better priority
Bulkier
Swords Dance
Main STAB move does not have a 10% chance of catastrophic failure

Pros for Medicham:
Takes 8x less damage from Stealth Rock
Hits way harder without boosts
Is not countered by Rotom-W (barring Mold Breaker Erfquake)
Baton Pass lets it act as an offensive pivot
Different stuff walls it. Pinsir has Skarmory and Zapdos, Medicham has Sableye and then an assortment of bulky Ghost/Psychics, some of which can be dealt with one of the elemental punches (or pursuit trapper)

It'll be pretty interesting to see where all the megas end up now that Lucario is banned.

Medichamite being forced to OU is kinda weird. Luckily its main competitor is gone, so people might start using it. It has the muscle to make it, but fighting type is a huge hindrance with flying priority so common, and 100 speed without any way to boost means it isn't likely to sweep. It mangles most bulky offense teams that lack checks, but anything faster can cause it an annoying amount of pain.

So, as a wall breaker (sub attacker, whatever you use), which team mates help it most? Travisbrown mentioned sticky web, but since some of its main threats are fliers, so I'd say SR is more practical. Medicham is great flying lure, ghost lure, physical wall lure (and breaker if you have the right coverage move), WoW lure, and a couple of other things, so how can people use these to their advantage? I'm going to retest this guy so I can answer these, but I'd love suggestions

Bisharp
. Sableye is pretty much the only thing capable of walling both Bisharp and Medicham.

Talonflame is common but it's a pretty big hindrance to Pinsir, too.

basically when I use medicham as a sweeper/wallbreaker I have blissey to aromatherapy. T-tar tanks flying moves and laughs at choice band talinflame, forcing it out. And heatran can absorb most status and counters talonflame

I really think M Aerodactyl is underrated. It threatens to outspeed and OHKO anything weak to Stone Edge, giving it plenty of opportunities to set up Hone Claws. Then only Crawdaunt/Metagross and certain Pranksters stand in the way of a sweep.
sure, but this isn't the aerodactle thread, also medicham easily deafeats aero because it has no reliable flying STAB to abuse.

ok, point taken. Its not like aero will ever go up against medicham anyways.
back on topic, which nature, adamant or jolly and for what reason? I run adamant with max speed to bring a lot more power to the table immediately, but I wish I could invest more in hp and need to know how many EVs I need for what.

You'd only want to run Adamant if it means turning some 2HKOs into OHKOs, and I can't think of any that are terribly important.

Adamant means you're outsped by base 87's and up, so this means Excadrill, Lucario, non-scarfed Lando-T, Mega Chomp, KyuB, and Hydreigon all outspeeding you, as well as a number of base 100's where you could at least hope to win the speed tie. The boost from Adamant nature doesn't really justify it IMO.

Yes but considering how frail medicham is those KOs do matter. A missed KO means status or a dead mega. I just wanted to know why and to know if there were any speed tiers I could aim for w/o jolly
also, half the mons you have mentioned scarf occasionally and some of these run max speed anyways, like garchomp who only runs max bulk if its a mega in my expeience

Considering you're going to attract a lot of flying types with megacham, Rotom-W makes for a logical partner. Asides from the appreciated flying check, you form a volt-pass core as well, should you run baton pass on megacham. Rotom-W can use its relatively slow volt-switch to get megacham in safely as well.
