Okay since this hasn't been posted yet voting is now open for the rotom question please PM Peef Rimgar your vote for either

1. Rotom gets one mega for all forms
2. Rotom gets 2 Megas one for its regular form and one for its alternative forms.
3. All Rotom forms get a mega.
4. All Rotom forms get a mega but you can only vote for one submitter for all the forms

Voting will remain open for the next 24 hours consider this time an extended discussion period for our next slate.

They haven't been posted yet. The voting period was extended a day to incorporate the votes for how we're handling the Rotom forms
Ok, thank you.

I've decided to vote for #3 option, btw: I feel like every Rotom is a different pokemon, regardless of their equal base stats - their typing difference really means a lot, competitively talking. And I don't like being forced to vote one single user's submissions: I mean, if one comes up with a great idea for Rotom-C, while his Rotom-S mega sucks - but mega Rotom-S from another guy looks great to me - why should I vote the one I dislike? Since, as I already said, find every Rotom to be very unique, I don't understand why I should count them as a block.

I personally think option #3 is more healthy for the project as a whole. It allows us to more easily adapt to the individual needs of each rotom to give them all OU viable megas. While option #4 is most definitely a valid option and makes more sense logically, I'd hate to see us once again have the lesser used formes unable to compete with Rotom-W - which is almost inevitable given the circumstances. Also, please note that even under option 3, there's no rule against making parallel submissions. I'd just very much not like to be restricted when it comes to making them fun and usable options in our meta, but that doesn't mean you can't do both, which option 3 gives us the most leeway for.

This project appreciates creativity and diversity greatly, but sometimes a little restraint is a good thing. And seeing as how the Rotoms are all the same pokemon, as you can see by looking at the shared stats and ability, who has possessed different types of machinery, as you can see by the different secondary typings and the extra moves unique to that form. I don't think voting for a single set is at all unreasonable, and I believe it provides a chance to spur even GREATER creativity, in seeing how well you can make five versions of one pokemon that all fulfill different roles and perform differerent functions in such a way that one doesn't outclass the other. Stemming from this, let us not forget that it is inevitable that certain megas will outclass another -- we went in to this project knowing that, and I see no reason why that should be such a great concern now. Competitiveness is more important than flavor, yes, but flavor is still incredibly important, and should never be discounted.

This being said, I am showing my support for option 4, not discrediting option 3, as while I prefer the structure of 4, option 3 does not disallow anything presented in option 4. So if you are reading this with the hope of starting an argument, for fuck's sake please don't.

I suppose since the wording is more simplified, I'd be okay with option 4. My biggest concern for option 4 was the requirement to make stat boosts identical, as under that, it is impossible to make all of them viable when electric/ice is shit typing compared to water/ice. Since it was reduced to "vote for the same person", technically, option 4 doesn't disallow anything that option 3 allows, just restricts submissions to a single users vision. Which while a bit less desirable, is perfectly acceptable. The only option I disagree with is option 1, which defeats the entire purpose of megas for all. Every pokemon should be able to hold a mega stone and transform in some way, period.

Right. But there's creative ways to make Rotom-F work. Freeze Dry, for example. Lets you bust past Quag, and a pseudo-BoltBeam combo that receives STAB from both is, up to now, almost nonexistent.

The reasoning for Hurricane was being another form of a Rain Dance Sweeper (100% accurate Thunders and Hurricanes. AND they have STAB)
Except weather isn't that great anymore, especially rain, so I think functioning well outside of rain is more important

It just gives it a new niche. Also, someone could be a douchenozzle and not only give it Hurricane but give it Serene Grace too for 60% Paralysis and Confusion rates

And Searing Shot for the BURNZ
Oh god, just imagining all the stupid shit we could give the Rotom forms for Serene Grace abuse...

Protip: No one should give the Rotom forms Serene Grace (I could see it now Rotom-S gets Hurricane and Air Slash, Rotom-H gets some fire move, Rotom-W gets Scald or Water Pulse, Rotom-F gets its ice moves) That's a bit overpowered...

... Ahem, since my friend above didn't make it clear, you would want to read the WHOLE first post (as mentioned in the title), before you post anything. You can see that we're doing specific Megas and not any one you want right now.

Also, this Mega is way too broken. +50 in both defenses is stupidly strong and Gamefreak would NEVER do give that to any Mega
