This round is gonna be pretty fucking tricky to keep balanced. I just want to point out that although balance is important, making a mega made to be banned isn't absolutely disallowed. Dnite is a really good pokemon already and making a balanced mega can be an issue so just submit what you think will be good.

Mega Snorlax
Typing
: Normal --> Normal
Abilities: Immunity/Thick Fat --> Unaware
New Moves: Slack Off
Stats: 160/110/65/65/110/30 BST: 540 --> 160/130(+20)/105(+40)/75(+10)/140(+30)/30 BST: 640

Need I say more? It's a no-brainer really and doesn't require much explanation of what it is supposed to do.

Power creep and metagame changes/trends had rendered Snorlax's walling capabilities to decrease in effectiveness. What held it back was its subpar Defense but more than that, even with the nerf to Special Attacks, its defenses can eventually fold over to offensive Special giants by virtue of its subpar typing and lack of reliable recovery. Now by giving it this Mega Evolution structure, Snorlax finds a strong niche in the OU metagame as an all-purpose wall and with its new ability Unaware, serves as a stop to some of the tier's dangerous boosting threats.

Boosting Threats

The thing with Dragonite is it's powerful because of Multiscale, but giving it another ability would not only set its Mega Evolution from its regular form, but would also save it from being broken.

Don't forget that a player can choose when to mega evolve so they can utilize multiscale as regular D-nite and then mega evolve and get a new ability.

I believe that Dragonite deserves a new typing, in the same sense that Gyarados got Dark over Flying. Except in Dragonite's case, it'll get Water, since it's prevolutions, Dragonair and Dratini, are heavily related to water (hell, you can't catch them except through fishing!).

It even gets cool Water-type STABs like Waterfall and Aqua Tail.

I fell Bellossom should get Drought because one of the dex entries states that many believe Bellossom's dance is a ritual to summon the sun.

Also given that this is the discussion period I think it's a good time to bring this up.
By the end of this there will surely be at least 150 of these megas that would OU viable, and we have to choose just 1 of them? I think it would be fair to say we should probably change the mega limit to 2 at the very least (but I would rather 3). I mean some people struggle to pick just 1 mega as it is now.

I've already brought this up to the council. We really don't want to focus too much on the technical parts of the metagame until we actually finish all the megas.

Also can confirm Megas for All Balanced Hackmons

I'm really tempted to follow this route too. Dragonite's Pokedex entries are mostly sea related. One even goes so far as to label it a marine Pokemon. With the water typing, however, Dragonite would probably be going straight to Ubers. Dragon/Water is a fantastic defensive typing; and not too shabby on offence either.

As for the ability... Multiscale is still nice, but I have been considering Tough Claws. Tough Claws is a fairly powerful ability, especially for a Pokemon with such high physical attack as Dragonite. Alternatively, with the dragon/water typing I could just give it Levitate.

Fairy typing would make sense on it actually. Putting all flavourness aside, it's design alone implies a Fairy typing as much as, say, Floette implies.

Well, guys, remember, Mega Garchomp is based off of a former ubers Pokemon and neither Garchomp nor Mega Garchomp are ubers. We can fix Mega Dragonite easily so it doesn't become uber.

I'm thinking Dragon/Water Dragonite... that keeps Multiscale. huehuehuehuehue

But for real, he should get Calm Mind. The Dex says it's intelligent and I can imagine that Dragonite is a pretty calm dude.

Mm, I'm thinking along similar lines. Levitate will probably be the ability I choose though. Kind of wishing I had 4 moves that I could add.

Mega Dragonite is a perfect candidate for Dragon/Fairy, with its defensive build and all. I'm going to play this for all it's worth when submissions open up. Moltres is going to be a ton of fun to work with but I have no idea what direction to go... Fire/Fairy? Magic Guard? Drought? This'll be interesting

I have an idea for Mega Dragonite to turn it into a mixed sweeper. In particular I'm thinking of making it be a Mixed Wall Breaker in the Rain similar to how Mega Garchomp is supposed to be a Slightly Mixed Wall Breaker in the Sand (variant of Sand Rush anyone?)

umm it not calm if you had seen episodes of pokemins and I agree that it would be great if I was dragonite was Dragon/Water Dragonite it would cool I wish they make in CAP project but it will not get multiscale it will get Levitate
