Megas For All (Read the whole 1st post and check current slate)

Well, if we're doing different megas for Rotom's forms, even if it's one for all forms or one for each one, will Sky Shaymin and standard Shaymin at least have different megas? As far as the different moves, I'm not liking Freeze Dry for F. F would be too effective then because it would have a lot of bulk, letting people invest more heavily in SAtk plus he already gets electric and ice-typing which makes him a check/somewhat counter to water already, so freeze dry would be over kill. Maybe something like Frost Breath or even just Ice Beam.

Leech Seeds would give Rotom C a unique niche as the only pokemon who can seed and hold momentum with Volt Switch to provide a sorta team support.

Let's try to stay on track guys. I'll make a post later explaining in full the three options in greater detail, since there seems to be some confusion, especially over option 2.

I vote option 2, with the different new moves and typing between the appliances, but they get the exact same stat boosts and abilities. If the ability is levitate though, i know that Mega Fan will rot as PU trash forever.

I'm personally thinking Prankster for all of them.

OH OH OH LIGHTBULB

What if we gave the Forms Motor Drive? It's has so much flavor it's obscene (Rotom = Motor, mind = blown), and it has an actual competitive use. This could make the various forms great checks to things like Thundurus, especially Rotom Frost, who could switch in to a T-Bolt/T-Wave, and force a switch. This would give the refridgerator an actual niche separate from his compadres while retaining the same stats as them. Rotom Fan (or whatever the fuck it's called), with the addition of Hurricane, could find a niche on rain teams, where an electric-type immunity is always welcomed.

Adaptability would be kinda funny flavor wise, rotom doesn't need no adapter. If option 2, it would give Rotom-F (if we gave it ice beam) the most OP boltbeam ever.

I saw someone suggest freeze dry, which is an option I'm actually very fond of. It's weaker than Ice Beam, but allows it to bypass Quag.

Just wanna say that option 1 wouldn't mean they'd all have the exact same stats, but that they would get the same stat boosts. That is, the stat differences between normal Rotom and Rotom-App would be taken into account when going Mega. (so, if MegaRotom got +20 Speed up to 111, MegaRotom-App would also get +20 up to 96).

But it seems for now people prefer option 2, so whatever ?__? There are too many variables though (stat increases, typing, ability and moves), so we'll need to clarify what each one wants.

I though option 1 was to only create a Mega for the base form (I.e. Rotom, Deo-N, and so forth).

Option 2 is to my understanding that we create a Mega for each form and for Rotom, all the appliance forms get the same stats boosts as each other but not as Rotom.

I would be fine if we keep them all as a set with a common theme. For example, in my idea, Mega Rotom's forms CAN have 5 different abilities, but the abilities are effectively the water, ice, fire, grass, and flying versions of one another and that their boosts are constant between them (to keep how they're the same exact stats otherwise)

I'm still leaning towards a Mega for each form, Option 3. Each forme of Rotom plays differently, even if they are technically the same Pokemon, so in my opinion so should their Megas.

Mega Mantine what you're describing could be Option 3 (if a set of them wins with the same stat boosts); Option 2 has 2 Megas--one for Rotom and one for all of its appliance formes.

No, Mega Mantine is right. What you're thinking of as option 3 is really more like what option 2 is. Ace wasn't very clear on that part, sorry. The appliance forms share an ability and stat boosts, but retain their own unique typings and movepool.

This is the correct understanding of Option 2.

See though, the Wormadams all have different stat distrubition. The Rotom forms stats are exactly the same. What option 2 is saying, although not fully clear, that the only things the Forms will share are the same stats and ability. They will retain the specific typing and movepool for each unique form. That way, you have megas for each form that don't radically differ from the base forms.

That's not one mega for the alternative forms that's one mega per form if you want that vote for 3 and win with your submission. We do not need a seperate option for that to be honest because if you want that then win the votes because seperate typing = a seperate mega. Option 2 is for those who believe the BST rule is > the one mega rule and therefore there should be 2 Megas to preserve BST.

Edit: if you guys want ill do an option 4 that makes it so alternative forms are all the same vote so 1 person can make them themed but that's not option 2.

Okay, let's agree for just Rotom at this point: a Mega for each form, but you have to givd the appliance forms all the same Ability and stat boosts.

As the main advocator/partial creator of option two, I'm afraid to say you misunderstand option two. You changed what option two was, I'm afraid. Option 2 is essentially option 3, the only difference is all the forms must share the same stats and ability.

Forgive me, but I don't think option 2 was a mistake. If it were, then why even bother with option 3 given that everyone would gangbang any submission with corresponding stat boosts if option 3 wins?

Do I need to screenshot my PM with ace? What is currently Option 2 in his post is not what was ever intended.

Yes, Option 3 and Option 2 are very similar, but Option 2 makes it a requirement that they share they same stats and ability whereas option 3 does not.

Option 3 lets you give them individual stats and abilities whereas option 2 requires that all forms have consistent stat boosts and abilities. That said, option 2 is definitely the way to go.
