Trevenant: Anaconja (Anaconja You still need to update new moves. It already has Drain Punch.), Shoopz_Whisper, EyedMoon

Nice thanks guys, I had a lot of fun with this slate!
Might be passing on this one, as i'm not a huuuge Eeveelutions fan. But who knows I might want to challenge myself.
And there you go, 5 minutes later, I'm in.

I decided to use "physical" secondary typings for them so we don't use one of the "special" types that are left for Eevee's legit evolutions.

Mega Leafeon
Grass / Steel
Ability :
Weak Armor
HP: 63
Atk: 110 ---> 135 (+25)
Def: 130 ---> 160 (+30)
SpA: 60 ---> 85 (+25)
SpD: 65 ---> 65 (+0)
Spe: 95 --> 115 (+20)

New Moves: Smart Strike, Iron Head
Description:
Superman The Leafeon of Steel gets an aesthetic armor, glowing with sunlight, infusing it with the energy of the yellow sun. But it doesn't impede its quick little feet, as it was well trained by master Solaire of Astora. On the other hand, it gives Leafeon a good attack and defense boost.
It's already good defense lets Leafeon set up (Swords Dance, or even Curse!) in front of NSE/neutral/non-STAB-SE physical attackers and makes Weak Armor super valuable! I decided to keep its SpD very low to compensate for its very good stats-ability combo. This keeps Leafeon weak to Fire and special moves like strong coverage Ice Beams
Movepool-wise, Leafeon gets to but its brand new armor to good use with these Steel-types moves. With Leaf Blade and something to take care of Fire types and other Steel types (your options are Knock Off, Rock Smash, Dig and HP Ground, gotta make the +25 SpA useful), you can punch and slash your way through an unprepared team!
Hopeless against other Steel types, a bit predictable and susceptible to status but really fun.

Mega Glaceon
Ice / Poison
Ability : Viridae artica
(Thick fat clone)
HP: 65
Atk: 60 --> 90 (+30)
Def: 110 --> 110 (+0)
SpA: 130 --> 150 (+20)
SpD: 95 --> 105 (+10)
Spe: 65 --> 105 (+40)

New Moves: Sludge Wave, Calm Mind
Description:
What have you done Glaceon?? What made you think playing with thousands-years-old-virus-infused ice was a good idea? Well you're a poison-type now, i hope you're happy.
Viridae artica, a completely made-up name, is an evil megavirus found in the permafrost that spread in its fur and now tanks fire-type moves. Design-wise, I thought a strong wall-breaker like Glaceon wouldn't need a broken ability.
Poison is a weird typing choice, Glaceon normally having only Toxic, but it doesn't need much more than Sludge Wave. Add Calm Mind to the mix and Glaceon can destroy a ton of opponents.
Glaceon gets this weird typing, along a big boost in speed justified by the drug-like properties of the virus. The boost in attack lets it use Ice Shard, which can be useful to finish weak foes. Like its sibling, HP Ground can be an option against Steel or Water-Poison Pokemon.

Mega Umbreon
Dark / Fairy
Ability:
Nocturnal Shield (Shadow Shield clone)
HP: 95
Atk: 65 ---> 65 (+0)
Def: 110 ---> 130 (+20)
SpA: 60 ---> 95 (+35)
SpD: 130 ---> 160 (+30)
Spe: 65 ---> 80 (+15)

New Moves: Knock Off, Moonblast
Description:
Nocturnal Shield and the Fairy typing because yeah, it's Lunala's emissary. Yeah, I know Lunala's already an emissary, who said Pokecanon made sense?
This soldier of the night is a very defensive Mega with an amazing typing, healing itself with Moonlight while Moonblasting the opponent's face and removing items. It can use Heal Bell in case of a bad case of poisoning and its stats make it very difficult to kill.
There are many ways of playing Mega Umbreon, and while it's not very strong it can take its time, may it last all the night, to wear its opponents down !

Mega Glaceon

Ability: Refrigerate
HP: 65
Atk: 60 (+0)
Def: 130 (+20)
SpA: 180 (+50)
SpD: 105 (+10)
Spe: 85 (+20)

New Moves: Boomburst
Description: Glaceon becomes a one-dimension special wallbreaker that basically 2HKOes anything that doesn't resist or is a pink blob. However, it's still a slower Ice-type with virtually no coverage options, so it's very easy to revenge kill.

Mega Leafeon

Ability: Tinted Lens
HP: 65
Atk: 140 (+30)
Def: 150 (+20)
SpA: 50 (-10)
SpD: 105 (+40)
Spe: 115 (+20)

New Moves: Earthquake, Taunt
Description: Bulky and fast Swords Dance sweeper that really only needs Leaf Blade and Earthquake in order to function thanks to Tinted Lens, so it can run Synthesis or another utility move in the fourth slot.

Mega Espeon

Ability:
Sheer Force
HP: 65
Atk: 65 (+0)
Def: 70 (+10)
SpA: 180 (+50)
SpD: 95 (+0)
Spe: 150 (+40)

New Moves: Earth Power, Thunderbolt
Description: A Mega Alakazam alternative that has greater power at the cost of less defensive utility. Additionally, Magic Bounce before evolving is useful to have in order to pressure hazard setters.

Mega Umbreon

Ability:
Stamina
HP: 95
Atk: 95 (+30)
Def: 140 (+30)
SpA: 60 (+0)
SpD: 160 (+30)

Def: 130
SpA: 60
SpD: 65 => 95 (+30)
Spe: 95 => 115 (+20)
New Moves: Play Rough, Superpower
Description: Leafeon hits many 'mons hard with its massive 145 attack stat and Adaptability-boosted Leaf Blade and Play Rough. Unfortunately, it find itself walled by many poison 'mons, as well as fires like Volcarona, and steels like Skarmory, as it doesn't really have a way to damage them.

Mega Espeon
type: Psychic => Psychic/Fairy
ability: Magic Bounce

Stats:
HP: 65
Atk: 65
Def: 60 => 125 (+65)
SpA: 130 => 135 (+5)
SpD: 95 =>125 (+30)
Spe: 110
New Moves: Moonblast, Flamethrower
Description: Espeon becomes a Jack-of-all-trades, with high special attack, a wide range of Special moves, and a nice boosting option in Calm Mind for sweeper sets, and a good ability, defenses, recovery on Morning sun, and Heal Bell for bulky sets.

Mega Umbreon
type: Dark => Dark/Fairy
ability: Magic Guard

Stats:
HP: 95
Atk: 65 => 85 (+20)
Def: 110 => 130 (+20)

Competitive Analysis
A sturdy wall that fills a role similar to that of Tapu Bulu and Tangrowth—but with a twist—it packs Defog. That makes it much better of an Ash-Greninja switch in. However, it still has some trouble balancing EV’s to better check Ash-Greninja and still outrun Zygarde, not to mention Coil variants can be some trouble if Leafeon lacks Curse.
Rationale
The stats are all equal for all Eeveelutions, 65 - 65 - 95 - 110 - 130 - 160 but in different order. The Normal-type reflects the adaptable aspect of Eevee, as for Natural Cure, it only feels natural on Leafeon.

Competitive Analysis
With a speed version of Intimidate, Mega Glaceon is surprisingly fast and can pose a sizeable threat as a Calm Mind sweeper. However, a poor defensive typing and an equally poor weakness to Stealth Rock leaves it prone to getting taken down rather quickly.
Rationale
The stats are all equal for all Eeveelutions, 65 - 65 - 95 - 110 - 130 - 160 but in different order. The Normal-type reflects the adaptable aspect of Eevee, and Harsh Haze mimics its ability to create hazy and snowy environments in which moving is tough.

So when making these Mega Evolutions, I decided not to add any secondary typings, as I believe that is what Gamefreak would choose to do. And do spice things up, I changed what their highest base stat was.

Mega Glaceon
Ability: Snow Cloak ---> Technician
Typing: Ice

Stats:
HP: 65
Attack: 60
Defense: 110 ----> 160 (+50)
Special Attack: 130 ----> 155 (+25)
Special Defense: 95 ----> 120 (+25)
Speed: 65
Movepool Additions: Recover, Calm Mind
Weaknesses: Fighting, Fire, Rock, Steel
Resistances: Ice
Immunities: None

Pokedex: An emissary of the ice, Mega Glaceon's body can reach near absolute zero through its unrivaled temperature control. In battle, remaining in contact with Mega Glaceon will cause permanent frostbite damage.

Competitively: The addition of Recovery and Settup allows Mega Glaceon to be a formidable setup sweeper, with Technician also boosting its weak coverage moves considerably, like Water Pulse and Hidden Power. Additionally, this turns Frost Breath into a 90% accurate Blizzard that ignores opponent's stat buffs and Glaceon's stat debuffs. This will allow it to setup alongside other Calm Mind users and then immediately win the matchup.

Mega Leafeon
Ability: Leaf Guard ----> Tough Claws
Typing: Grass

Stats:
HP: 65
Attack: 110 ----> 155 (+45)
Defense: 130 ----> 145 (+15)
Special Attack: 60
Special Defense: 65 ----> 90 (+25)
Speed: 95 ----> 110 (+15)
Movepool Additions: Sacred Sword, Stomping Tantrum
Weaknesses: Bug, Fire, Flying, Ice, Poison
Resistances: Electric, Grass, Ground, Water
Immunities: None

Pokedex: An excess of sunlight has increased its energy production to extraordinary heights. If you pet the grass on its pelt the wrong way, you will be cut significantly

Competitively: Tough Claws boosts its offensive presence with contact moves, allowing it to deal out hit hard with boosted Leaf Blade, Sacred Sword, X-Scissor and Knock Off. This, aided by an adequate base 110 speed, neutralizes the speed issue that it once had. This speed and bulk is balanced out by its less-than-stellar typing, both defensively and offensively, granting it little options in the beating certain Steel-types

Mega Umbreon
Ability: Synchronize ----> Stamina
Typing: Dark

Stats:
HP: 95
Attack: 65 ---> 70 (+5)
Defense: 110 ----> 165 (+55)
Special Attack: 60 ---> 90 (+30)
Special Defense: 130 ---> 140 (+10)
Speed: 65
Movepool Additions: Stealth Rocks, Knock Off
Weaknesses: Bug, Fairy, Fighting
Resistances: Dark, Ghost
Immunities: Psychic

Pokedex: An excess of moonlight has increase its lastability to extraordinary heights. During a New Moon, its black body and glowing rings make it appear as though it is a collection of lights floating on their own.

Competitively: Naturally, putting all of the stat boosts into bulk, while it would be fitting for its playstyle, would create an unkillable and rather annoying Pokemon. So, some of the boosts were put into Attack and Special Attack. However, the extra bulk it now has makes it relatable to a Pokemon like Cresselia, and the boosts given by Stamina only further this. It can basically just do what it did before, but better, while still keeping the weaknesses it had previously

Leafeon: Anaconja, eyedmoon, _
Glaceon: TDA, Lyd, eyedmoon
Espeon: superstrike (imagine having this Espeonite in mix&mega), leonard, _
Umbreon: TDA, Anaconja, eyedmoon

Filling the blanks later

Last edited:
Leafeon: eyedmoon, Anaconja, TDA
Glaceon: Anaconja, eyedmoon, lyd
Espeon: leonard, anaconja, superstrike
Umbreon: leonard (from big bang theory), TDA, Anaconja

And with that, leonard wins Espeon, lyd wins Glaceon, Anaconja wins Leafeon, and TDA wins Umbreon.

Next slate:

Last batch of early game rodents.

Ability limit of 4.5 for Watchog and Gumshoos, 4 for Linoone and 3 new moves for Linoone and Gumshoos, 4 for Watchog.

Mega Gumshoos
Type: Normal
Ability: Mighty Jaw (Doubles the power of biting moves)
Stats: 88/130/80/70/60/90 | BST: 518
New Moves: Dragon Dance, Psychic Fangs, Superpower
Competitive: Doubled speed would already make Gumshoos decent, but a 160BP STAB with a chance to flinch is pretty nice too coming off that 130 Attack stat. Oh, and not to mention its new 130BP coverage moves in the elemental fangs and a 170BP move to hit Fighting-types. Ghosts, you say? Well say hello to 160BP Crunch. Of course, this creates the problem of 4MSS, but that's what keeps it in check.

Mega Linoone
Type: Normal-Fairy
Ability: Mega Berry (when this Pokémon drops below 50% health, it eats a berry created by the Mega Evolution energy and restores 50% of its max HP; only works once per switch in but ability restored upon switching out)
Stats: 78/100/81/50/81/130 | BST: 520
New Moves: Knock Off, Earthquake
Competitive: its like regular Bdrum linoone, but with better stats and a move to hit ghosts. it can even set up twice in one match. wow

Mega Watchog
Type: Normal-Psychic
Ability: Transcendent Mind (Doubles this Pokémon's Defense stat)
Stats: 60/5/69/130/129/127 | BST: 520
New Moves: Calm Mind, Psychic, Hyper Voice, Slack Off
Competitive: Watchog has got to be one of the worst Pokémon ever created. Completely outclassed in its debut generation by Stoutland, absolutely worthless in competitive, even being outdone by every other f'ing early game rodent in the dex; terrible stats, worthless abilities, stupid design, I mean jesus what the hell could save this thing from being total shit? Well i present Mega Watchog. With better stats and typing it completely shifts from a weak, slow, and frail "physical attacker" to a threatingly strong and fast set-up sweeper. Access to both Calm Mind and Nasty Plot make this even more unpredictable: could you be facing a bulky CM set, or a fast (but still bulky lol) Nasty Plotter? Great coverage, too, and that wasn't even my doing. Overall, blows the original so far out of the water that it's floating in space, wondering why it's such an utter piece of crap.

I'm new here so I hope I did this right :psynervous:

Gumshoos-Mega
Type: Normal Ground
Ability: Hustle
HP • 88
Atk • 110 >> 145 (+35)
Def • 60 >> 80 (+20)
SpA • 55 >> 55 (+0)
SpD • 60 >> 75 (+15)
Spe • 45 >> 75 (+30)
BST • 418 >> 518 (+100)
New Moves: Hone Claws, Stone Edge, Quick Attack

Competitive Analysis: Mega Gumshoos would act best as a powerful wallbreaker—packing a menacing 620 Attack stat if Adamant and an excellent 583 Attack stat if Jolly natured. Gumshoos-Mega's 75 base speed lets it outpace and threaten (not Timid) Heatran, Magearna, Tyranitar, and more. With this ability to force out Pokemon, Gumshoos-Mega can set up Hone Claws for potential late game cleans. Access to Quick Attack lets Mega Gumshoos pick off weaker Pokemon as well. The 75 speed tier is not the most impressive, especially for a Pokemon with sub par bulk and weaknesses to several powerful offensive types such as Ice, Fighting, and Water. Naturally faster Pokemon such as Greninja, Keldeo, or Kyurem-Black force Gumshoos-Mega out easily, though the former has to be weary of Quick Attack, which can OHKO at +1 (81.3% after Stealth Rock).
A moveset that you'd likely see is:
Gumshoos @ Gumshoosite
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly / Adamant Nature
- Hone Claws / U-turn
- Return
- Earthquake
- Quick Attack

Linoone-Mega
Type: Normal Grass
Ability: Infiltrator
HP • 78
Atk • 70 >> 105 (+35)
Def • 61 >> 91 (+30)
SpA • 50 >> 55 (+5)
SpD • 61 >> 71 (+10)
Spe • 100 >> 120 (+20)
BST • 420 >> 520 (+100)
New Moves: Glare, Swords Dance, Horn Leech
Competitive Analysis: Linoone-Mega differentiates itself from regular Linoone as a Swords Dance sweeper. While regular Linoone depends on Belly Drum + Extreme Speed alongside a berry, Mega Linoone can opt to Swords Dance. Glare is a decent option to punish potential checks to an SD + 2 Attacks set such as Ferrothorn, Landorus-Therian, and Scizor-Mega. With Infiltrator, Mega Linoone can completely shut down Pokemon like SubSeed Serperior and Substitute Zygarde. At +2, Linoone-Mega OHKOs the former after chip damage and 2HKOs the latter. Unfortunately, Linoone's naturally poor coverage lets it be susceptible to Pokemon like the aforementioned Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn. Kartana takes every attack relatively easily as well and retaliates with a Sacred Sword or even All-out Pummeling.
A moveset that you'd likely see is:
Linoone @ Linoonite
Ability: Quick Feet
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Extreme Speed
- Horn Leech
- Stomping Tantrum

Watchog-Mega
Type: Normal Psychic
Ability: Psychic Surge
HP • 60
Atk • 85 >> 140 (+55)
Def • 69 >> 99 (+30)
SpA • 60 >> 80 (+20)
SpD • 69 >> 94 (+25)
Spe • 77 >> 47 (-30)
BST • 420 >> 520 (+100)
New Moves: Psychic Fangs, Spikes, Trick Room, U-turn
Competitive Analysis: Watchog-Mega is a slow, but moderately bulky attacker. After gaining Psychic Fangs, Psychic Surge, and a monstrous 140 Attack stat, Mega Watchog becomes a powerful cleaner on Trick Room builds. Bar Deoxys and Smeargle, there are no Trick Room users with Spikes, so Watchog-Mega carves itself that niche as well. If you opt to run Trick Room on Mega Watchog, you'll often find yourself struggling to choose a 4th slot between U-turn, Spikes, and Swords Dance. There is room for coverage such as Stomping Tantrum, Fire Punch, and Knock Off as well, making Watchog rather unpredictable and letting it suffer from 4MSS. Watchog's bulk is the definition of decent, so it won't get up Trick Room as often as Pokemon like Cresselia or Magearna either.
A moveset that you'd likely see is:
Watchog @ Watchogite
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Return
- Psychic Fangs
- Trick Room
- Swords Dance / U-turn / Spikes

Weight: 14.2 kg

New Moves: Double-Edge, Fake Out, Knock Off
Description: Gumshoos becomes a very powerful wallbreaker, being able to switch in on mons locked in Ghost or Electric-type moves and dealing big damage to whatever switches in. Its main problem, though, is its only decent bulk and very low speed, though the latter becomes a strength in Trick Room.

Mega Gumshoos
Ability: Strong Jaw ---> Adaptability
Typing: Normal ----> Normal / Dark

Stats:
HP: 88
Attack: 110 ----> 136 (+26)
Defense: 60
Special Attack: 55
Special Defense: 60 ----> 84 (+24)
Speed: 45 ----> 95 (+50)
Movepool Additions: Knock Off, Swords Dance, Double Edge
Weaknesses: Bug, Fairy, Fighting
Resistances: Dark
Immunities: Ghost, Psychic

Pokedex: Overconsumption of Alola-Ratata and the energy of Mega Evolution has somehow altered the once-patient Gumshoos into a mad and hasty Mega Gumshoos. The contrast in personality is so great, it is often compared to the old novel of 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde'.

Competitively: Mega Gumshoos imitates Porygon-Z and Alola Raticate with the role it plays and the typing and stat distribution, respectively. Therefore, it's designed to hit hard but not to take hits, setting up with moves like Swords Dance and blowing things back with Crunch/Knock Off and Double Edge. The base 95 speed gives it an average level of speed, letting it break through slow and bulky mons but be countered by fast and powerful Pokemon. The extra 24 base stats went into Special Defense primarily to increase its bulk somewhat but still leave it vulnerable to Fighting-Type Pokemon. Use this along Pokemon that can switch in against Fighting-Type Pokemon, like Doublade, who also appreciate the Dark- and Ghost-Type resist/immunity Gumshoos offers

Mega Linoone
Ability: Pickup ----> Galvanize
Typing: Normal ----> Normal / Electric

Stats:
HP: 78
Attack: 70 ----> 115 (+45)
Defense: 61 ----> 76 (+15)
Special Attack: 50
Special Defense: 61 ----> 76 (+15)
Speed: 100 ----> 125 (+25)
Movepool Additions: Bulk Up, Flare Blitz, U-Turn
Weaknesses: Ground, Fighting
Immunities: Ghost

Pokedex: Zipping about the battlefield, Mega Linoone builds up static electricity with it's sleek fur coming in contact with air molecules. At its top speed, it appears to levitate, only touching the ground for an instant as it runs.

Competitively: Spam Extremespeed. But seriously, Galvanize Mega Linoone has excellent offensive presence, with access to its new Bulk Up to boost its Attack and Defense, allowing it to actually break through teams without needing Belly Drum on a Mega Evolution. Naturally, it falls over to any Ground- and Fighting-Types, though naturally if it can get in and set up, a +2 priority boosted Espeed will do some damage. Pair this with Pokemon like Mega Venusaur who can deal with Fighting- and Ground-Type Pokemon.

Mega Watchog
Ability: Analytic ---> Compound Eyes
Typing: Normal

Stats:
HP: 60
Attack: 85 ----> 60 (-25)
Defense: 69 ----> 74 (+5)
Special Attack: 60 ----> 135 (+75)
Special Defense: 69 ----> 94 (+20)
Speed: 77 ----> 102 (+25)
Movepool Additions: Blizzard, Fire Blast, Hyper Voice, Nasty Plot
Weaknesses: Fighting
Resistances: None
Immunities: Ghost

Pokedex: The top echelon of Watchog, it has learned how to effectively attack at a distance while still remaining at its post, rather than with physical force. It is able to watch over all with its significantly improved vision. It will always see an enemy before anyone else in its posey, and alert them accordingly.

Competitively: This Pokemon can be an impressive and threatening special sweeper if ever given the opportunity. Setting up with Nasty Plot and mowing through unprepared teams with an ThunBliz coverage and STAB Hyper Voice, along with boosted accuracy Hypnosis + Dream Eater and moves like Focus Blast, Fire Blast, Grass Knot and Shadow Ball, if it wants to use those. Naturally, as with everything else on this theorycrafting post, its weakness is its frailty, and one solid hit from basically anything physical crushes this Pokemon. Pair Mega Linoone with Pokemon that can serve as strong defensive switch ins, such as Chansey, Celesteela, and Magearna, who in turn appreciate the speedy offensive presence Watchog offers.

Description: Watchog watches you all day and all night. There is no escape!
Watchog's stats may not be much, but Arena Trap boosts its viability exponentially. With STAB Pursuit, even ghost types aren't safe against it. Mega Watchog can also set up against passive opponents with either Swords Dance and Nasty Plot, then proceed to sweep.

Gumshoos-Mega
Ability: Stakeout/Strong Jaw/Adaptability ----> Strong Jaw
Typing: Normal/Poison

Description: Gumshoos' jaws become stronger and now venomous. Gumshoos' Mega Evolution basically revolves around its Strong Jaw ability, with STABs Hyper Fang and Poison Fang boosted to higher power along with a plethora of ability boosted moves such as Crunch and Psychic Fangs. Mega evolution gives it stat boosts on much needed areas in attack and speed as well as useful resistances and fighting neutrality at the cost of new weaknesses.
