I think it should definitely be 5. A lot of Pokemon just become broken with Arena Trap (especially with the +100 BST), so imo it should be restricted as much as possible.

New Moves: Wood Hammer, Bulk Up

Competitive Analysis: Stantler-Mega turns from an intimidating deer to an all-out reckless monster. With the ability Reckless, Mega Stantler can use Jump Kick and Double-Edge for great damage at the cost of HP. Reckless, in conjunction with Double-Edge, will 2HKO Clefable. Wood Hammer targets Tapu Fini, Pyukumuku, Hippowdon, and other bulky Pokemon. With its offensive presence, Intimidate pre-Mega, and average bulk, Stantler offers solid competition to Lopunny-Mega. (I initially added Flare Blitz > Wood Hammer, but that literally is unbeatable aside from "just outspeed it lol.")

New Moves: Flash Cannon, Thunderbolt
Competitive Analysis: Chimecho-Mega carves a niche as a check to Landorus-Therian, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, and more OU threats. Chimecho can run Defog utility movesets, or bulky Calm Mind sets. Flash Cannon and the Steel-type lets Chimecho wall Fairy- and Psychic-types like the aforementioned Tapu Lele. Coupled with beautiful 75/115/115 bulk in tandem with Recover, Chimecho safely switches into its resists and even neutral hits. Levitate allows it to still switch into Ground-type attacks bar Mold Breaker Excadrill's Earthquake and Zygarde's Thousand Arrows. Chimecho-Mega can afford to run niche coverage options such as Icy Wind, Shadow Ball or Thunderbolt for specific targets like Zygarde, Jirachi, or Celesteela respectively.

BST • 455 >> 555 (+100)
New Moves: Flamethrower, Fiery Dance
Competitive Analysis: Jynx becomes even more of a glass cannon on the physical side, with a pitiful 25 Def. It sports a fantastic 175 base SpA coupled with a nearly unrivaled 145 Spe. Jynx-Mega's Dancer ability allows it to punish Pokemon like Volcarona for using Quiver Dance. Access to Nasty Plot, Lovely Kiss, and powerful STAB and coverage options lets Mega Jynx become a premier offensive threat. However, it is prone to priority, such as Bullet Punch, Extreme Speed, or Greninja's Water Shuriken. Scarfers, especially those that run U-turn like Landorus and Protean Greninja, are big threats. Lastly, Jynx-Mega is 4x weak to Stealth Rock. This means it takes 49% upon entry, which makes it even frailer than before. It is in your best interest to keep hazards off of Jynx's side.

New Moves: Dazzling Gleam

  • Ice/Fairy is a slightly better typing than Ice/Psychic
  • Good special attack and speed tier.
  • Special defense allows Jynx to take some weaker special moves
  • Jynx's physical bulk is still terrible and even weaker physical attacks will do significant damage to it, especially with a SR weakness.
  • Dazzling Gleam is Fairy STAB, though not the best one.

New Moves: Swords Dance

  • Good attack and speed tier.
  • Solid coverage allows it to hit things that resist both STABs.
  • Adding Swords Dance to Stantler's movepool gives it a way to boost its attack, though Stantler doesn't always have room for it.
  • Frail and lacks resistances, making Stantler easily revenge killed and eliminated by bulkier attackers.

New Moves: Air Slash, Hurricane

  • Standard increase to make Chimecho able to work as a bulky-ish sweeper or a cleric.
  • Flying allows Chimecho to counter some fighting types easier, though it's arguably an actual worse defensive typing.
  • Magic Guard replaces the now useless Levitate. It's absolutely crucial to Chimecho as it prevents it from taking damage from rocks and prevents it from being worn down by status.
  • Hurricane and Air Slash are flying STAB.
  • Not amazingly strong if it doesn't use Calm Mind to boost, meaning it struggles against bulky Pokemon. On the other side, Chimecho's decent defenses are let down somewhat by its mediocre HP stat and below average defensive typing, granting it five relatively common weaknesses.

Also, I would like to propose the next slate to be Victreebell, Floatzel and Darmanitan. They all have been somewhat popular, but have elements that hold them back. Also, they form a FWG trio, so that’s nice.

New Moves: Gunk Shot

  • Great 135/130 mixed attacking stats plus Adaptability makes Victreebel an instant threat.
  • Can run a physically offensive Swords Dance set or a sun boosted special attacking Growth set
  • Gunk Shot is physical Poison STAB that Victreebel otherwise lacks.
  • Speed tier is good but crowded with several other offensive Pokemon. Compounded by Victreebel's bad bulk.

Swift Swim/Water VeilWater Veil

New Moves: Wild Charge, Thunderbolt

  • Solid mixed attacking stats and speed tier.
  • Electric typing 'cause of its color and the fact that it has aspects of a motor boat. For a frail attacker it's super useful if only due to the immunity to paralysis.
  • Water Veil, while useless if Floatzel runs a special set, is extremely useful for physical sets, preventing Floatzel from being crippled by burns.
  • Wild Charge, Thunderbolt are electric STAB moves.
  • Very frail. Also, since neither of Floatzel's attacking stats are overly amazing, it struggles against bulky Pokemon. More notably, it prefers its special set since its special movepool is much better. However its special moveset is completely walled by Chansey.

  • Amazing combination of high attack and speed.
  • Fire/ground is a pretty good offensive typing. Darmanitan is able to hit a majority of OU neutrally with just its STAB moves and has the coverage to hit the things it doesn't.
  • Sheer Force is not as amazing since Darmanitan can't hold a Life Orb, but it still gives a 30% to Flare Blitz and some of Darmanitan's coverage moves.
  • Though it has a high HP stat, Darmanitan has poor bulk. Combine that with Flare Blitz recoil and it's not going to stay alive all that long.

New Moves: Shore Up, U-Turn
Description: I’ve noticed MFA needed some tankier megas. Introducing Mega Floatzel. Not only does it heal itself Gliscor-style with a pseudo-Poison Heal, but it also gets a boost to its Defenses when coming in! Floatzel also fits this new role as it is at least partially based on lifeguards. As such, the mega stone emphasizes Floatzel’s care for others and reduces the attack stats in favor of bulk and speed. It also gets Shore Up for recovery and due to sandy beaches (I mean the only thing to naturally get it is a sandcastle so I don’t see an issue). It gets U-Turn to help pivot and reference to the way lifeguards turn right back around once they find someone in danger to help save them. The ability gives Floatzel more longevity and makes use of the life raft aspect of the Buizel line’s design. Overall, Mega Floatzel is a wonderfully defensively powerful mega that calls back to Floatzel’s origins.

New Moves: Double-Edge
Description: Darmanitan is a Pokémon that has two forms, and those forms seem like polar opposites. One an aggressive physical attacker that uses Sheer Force, and one that is passive and is in Zen, just sitting there. The idea behind this Mega is to explore the idea of the mega stone finding a middle ground between these two forms, much to the benefit of Darmanitan. That is where Mega Darmanitan comes in. While those stats seem a little counterintuitive, there is a good reason behind it, and that is the ability. With it and Double-Edge, Darmanitan has Fire/Fairy/Ground coverage with no drawbacks. As such, nerfing the Attack made sense in order to balance it (but if you think I could restore some Attack back let me know). From a flavor perspective, the middle ground of the two forms cost some Attack in favor of Special Attack and bulk. However, Darmanitan has a rather useful 125 speed, letting Darmanitan hit very hard very easily. Overall, Mega Darmanitan is the best of both forms wrapped into one extremely interesting and fun package.

Description: This Mega is meant to emphasize the Venus Fly Trap roots (pun intended) of Victreebel while improving it overall. Attack is reduced to make room for better stats everywhere else. The new moves are simply coverage to handle the types that its ability traps. Not much else to this mega.

Spe • 95 >> 85 (-10)
BST • 480 >> 580 (+100)
New Moves: Knock Off
Competitive Analysis: Darmanitan-Mega punches holes into opposing teams with a powerful Fire/Fighting STAB combo. Intimidate allows Darm to soften up attacks from Pokemon like Kartana and Tapu Bulu, allowing for more opportunities to come in safely. Darmanitan-Mega can punish Toxapex for switching in via Earthquake. Mega Darmanitan's primary issue is that its speed tier is below satisfactory, which allows Pokemon like Landorus-Therian, Greninja or Tornadus-Therian to revenge kill. Darm's high 180 attack and solid bulk allows it to be a premier threat, though.

New Moves: Wild Charge, Thunderbolt
Competitive Analysis: Mega Floatzel packs extremely strong Wild Charges and Liquidations thanks to Tough Claws. Floatzel could choose to run special moves to lure Rocky Helmet Tangrowth and Kartana. Mega Floatzel has poor bulk, but a solid 125 speed tier to compliment its high offenses. Floatzel will often find itself walled by Gastrodon and other Water/Ground types like Quagsire.

New Moves: Spikes, Earthquake
Competitive Analysis: Victreebel-Mega becomes a premier sun abuser. Mega Victreebel outspeeds many Pokemon in the tier under sun, and can sacrifice speed for power because of this. With solid 125 Attack and 150 Special Attack stats, Victreebel could potentially act as a mixed attacker. Earthquake allows Victreebel-Mega to punish Heatran. Under Sun, Victreebel has access to an extremely powerful Weather Ball, which OHKOs Ferrothorn, Scizor-Mega, 2HKO Assault Vest Magearna, and more. Spikes can punish switch-ins in case Victreebel opts out of a coverage option.

Victreebel-Mega
Ability: Chlorophyll (Gluttony) ----> Super Luck
Typing: Grass/Dark

Stats:

HP: 80 ----> 80
Attack: 105 ----> 155 (+50)
Defense: 65 ----> 85 (+20)
Special Attack: 100 ----> 100
Special Defense: 70 ----> 70
Speed: 70 ----> 100 (+30)
Base Stat Total: 490 ----> 590
Movepool Additions: Focus Energy, Fire Lash
Description: Victreebel uses its slender stem to whip out a Fire Lash. Dark typing gives it STAB on Sucker Punch and Knock Off, two of the best physical moves in its arsenal. Super Luck increases your luck, which goes handy with Leaf Blade, allowing it to plow through bulky set-up sweepers. Poison Jab hits Fairy-types for good damage while Fire Lash hits Steel-types.

Mega Floatzel
Ability:
Buoyant (When switching in, this Pokémon gets a boost to a Defense stat depending on then foe’s higher Attack stat. This Pokémon also heals 1/8 of its HP at the end of each turn. ) [Download + Poison Heal combo]
HP: 85
Atk: 105 ---> 95 (-10)
Def: 55 ---> 115 (+60)
SpA: 85 ---> 55 (-30)
SpD: 50 ---> 120 (+70)
Spe: 115 ---> 125 (+10)
Weight: 40 kg (+3.5)
This looks very suspicious in an OU metagame. To start off, it's bulkier than Magearna, with a typing that's not easily exploitable. It also has very fast speed, able to invest to outspeed things like Landorus-Therian and still have the bulk for stuff like this:
+2 252 Atk Landorus-Therian Supersonic Skystrike (175 BP) vs. +1 252 HP / 160+ Def Floatzel: 289-342 (77.2 - 91.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal
(Floatzel heals 62.5%)
+2 252 Atk Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. +1 252 HP / 160+ Def Floatzel: 166-196 (44.3 - 52.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Poison Heal
0 SpA Floatzel Scald vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-Therian: 132-156 (41.3 - 48.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Sure, its lowered stats means that it's more passive, but it can beat wallbreakers very easily by fishing for burns since it can heal 62.5% in one turn. This is ignoring the fact that it has teammates that can perform slow pivots for it to gain free health.
252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-Black Fusion Bolt vs. +1 252 HP / 160+ Def Floatzel: 126-150 (33.6 - 40.1%) -- 99.9% chance to 4HKO after Poison Heal
+2 252 SpA Keldeo Secret Sword vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Floatzel: 181-214 (48.3 - 57.2%) -- 4.3% chance to 2HKO after Poison Heal
+2 252 Atk Garchomp Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. +1 252 HP / 252+ Def Floatzel: 271-319 (72.4 - 85.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal
Finally, what does being a lifeguard or having a life raft have to do with boosting Defense or healing HP constantly? It doesn't make much flavor sense either.
