Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax to do a possible tour?

Yeah this is too good to be true, just because Lars might have had an idea about a tour like this doesn't mean that everyone is immediately going to go along with it, least of all Dave.

And yet we do not see what music you believe is amazing. Really did you start listening to Metallica and Megadeth on St.Anger and Risk?

I've heard the vast majority of both their works, I am yet to be impressed by either band with the exception of Ride the Lightning (Album, not song).

Megadeth and Slayer are doing a tour together in Canada so maybe it is likely. Than you realize that Anthrax has a lead singer problem (John Bush might not be permanent) and Metallica most likely won't join on a tour like this. It would be cool, but most likely won't happen.

Yes, not that likely to happen. Megadeth and Metallica are not exactly friends and Kerry King has made some remarks on Dave. I do not know if they have made peace or something, but I do not think this will happen. Though it would be really cool if it did happen.

...are you all blind fanboys? So a bunch of bands that climaxed by 1992 get together and tour (1991 if you do not want to count Countdown to Extinction). Even worse that they would get away with charging like $200 a ticket too lol

It'd be great if they all went on tour together, but ticket prices would be like... Yeah. I'm sure they could set their differences aside, they are grown men are they not?

If these four bands got together, and I got a ticket, I weep with joy ;-;

4 big bands is not bad for $200. I couldn't see Aerosmith because the price was $400 for good seats, I was not going to get lawn seats.

I bought my son tickets for a Metallica tour in October, in Cleveland. I got them the minute they came out. I got 7th row seating. Imagine this happening. They'd all be sold out in 10 minutes.

I don't know about Megadeth man, they still look like they kick ass live.Their 2008 tour vids on youtube look pretty awesome. I agree that the rest of them have peaked a long time ago though.

I'm seeing Megadeth in November and I have high expectations for the show based on their recent tours.

Besides, $200 a ticket is pretty reasonable considering Metallica tickets alone cost around $100.

holy fuck...

I might actually shell out the cash to go to this; that would be just insane.

Although the likely hood of this happening is slim, the idea is mind blowing.

I'm not all that excited about this TBH. I love Metallica and Slayer, like some of Megadeth's stuff, and am not really into Anthrax. However, Metallica dropped a lot of fans after the Black album (and disappointed me WITH the black album. It's not very good at all). Slayer is kind of has-been. Megadeth is decent but will always play second-fiddle to Metallica. It seems like a show of has-beens.

That being said, I did see Metallica during the Death Magnetic tour. The show was excellent, even though Hetfield somewhat botched "Master of Puppets" near the beginning.

This has been rumored for awhile now.

I would be excited if Metallica weren't terrible live nowadays, Anthrax lack their old vocalist (unless he's getting back together with them or something), Slayer aren't very good anymore, and Megadeth... Well actually Megadeth are still pretty cool actually.

Tell me when Dark Angel get back together and tour with Testament and Kreator, then I'll be excited.
