MLB World Series Official Thread

CC only had 3 days rest and he still only lost to Cliff Lee's awesome pitching. Talk about good pitching, both were excellent pitchers in Game one. Carl Pavano is only good off of 520 days rest.

New York - New York World Series would be pretty freking awesome.
my point was, look at free agents/trades the Yankees have made that didnt guarentee them anything. Pavano did nothing for those 3-4 years and was way overpaid for it. Again, hes 1-0 when coming off 500+ days rest

This might be good for laughs.

The "LOLMETS" are also way more talented than the Cincinatti Reds. Dont look at the record, just look at the injuries. ... They're an extremely talented team, they just suffered from the injury bug/shit medical staff this year

Besides the Mets, who suffered the second-most injuries in the MLB this past year? HINT: If you answered "Cincinnati Reds," you're right! Four of our five original starting pitchers were down to injury by the end of the year, we missed Bruce half the season because of his broken arm, blagh blagh blagh who cares. Nonetheless, all that talent and look where it got the Mets. That is the real joke. I'm pretty sure ESPN didn't run a Not Top 10 of the Reds...

To the rest of the Yankee HATERS: You need to learn that 200 mil in free agents doenst come with a guarentee.

No, it does not guarantee anything, but it does give them a consistently higher chance of succeeding. You still have to play the games but you're more likely to win if you can afford better "tools" (take that as you will) than the opposition.

lol alright? Lets throw a fact out there: Pitchers dont pitch every day. We lost beltran for more than half the season, Delgado for more than Half, Reyes for more than Half, and Wright for a decent portion. The Reds werent going anywhere anyway, so them being second in injuries is irrelevant. The Mets were a playoff type team, and we lost our best every day players for more than half the year. Edison Volquez also doesnt pitch every day, so you cant say that really really hurt you
