[OVERVIEW]

**Water:**

Keldeo's high Speed and Special Attack make it a staple on most offensive Water teams and, combined with its access to Secret Sword, allow it to break through physical and special walls alike as well as easily take on types such as Normal, Dark, Ice, and Steel. It is able to plow through common bulky cores that Water often has a hard time dealing with, namely Normal's Porygon2 + Chansey and Grass's Cradily + Ferrothorn, with Secret Sword, which differentiates Keldeo from any other Water-type special attacker. Its great defensive typing in Water / Fighting allows it to check a plethora of threats, including Bisharp and Mega Gyarados. Its ability to spread burns with Scald also allows it to avoid KOs and muscle past its checks and counters. Furthermore, its unusually high Speed for a Water-type gives Water a reliable wallbreaker and late-game cleaner.

However, outside of its STAB coverage, its movepool is nothing special; this leaves it unable to hit a lot of Pokemon super effectively or for good neutral damage. Furthermore, while its Speed is above average, it is still outsped by Latios, Latias, and Mega Diancie, all of which can OHKO Keldeo if they run an offensive set.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Scald is Keldeo's most spammable move and should be used both for its decent Base Power and for its chance to burn, which can help cripple the foe and chip away at their health. Secret Sword allows Keldeo to break past special walls that take less damage from its special moves, as the damage is dealt based on their Defense. Hydro Pump lacks the accuracy and chance to burn of Scald, though it greatly helps Keldeo in wallbreaking, OHKOing Mega Medicham and 2HKOing Zapdos and Mew. Icy Wind hits Pokemon such as Dragonite, Latios, and Latias, all of which resist both of Keldeo's STAB moves. It also lowers the foe's Speed by one stage, allowing Keldeo to more easily take them on. Hidden Power Flying is used to hit Mega Venusaur, which otherwise walls Keldeo; however, it doesn't hit anything else notably, and it comes with a loss of coverage. Alternatively, Hidden Power Electric can be used to hit opposing Water-types such as Gyarados and Azumarill that wall Keldeo on the switch.

Set Details
========

252 EVs in Speed alongside a Timid nature allow Keldeo to be as fast as possible, while maximum Special Attack investment is used to increase Keldeo's offensive presence as much as possible. Choice Specs turns Keldeo into a frightening wallbreaker, boosting the power of all its moves at the cost of being locked into one, which generally isn't a big deal for Keldeo anyway.

Usage Tips
========

Scald should be the move Keldeo spams most of the time so that it can spread burns and wear down the foe, thus making it easier for Keldeo to take them on later. Don't switch Keldeo into unresisted attacks due to its mediocre bulk, as it needs to maintain its health in order wallbreak easily. Hydro Pump is very risky, as its low accuracy can be a game-changer, so use it sparingly. Don't be careless when selecting what move to choose, as the foe can easily take advantage of Keldeo if it's locked into an inopportune move. For example, when up against a Fire team and the opponent has a Volcanion, be careful when spamming Scald, as they might switch it into Keldeo, forcing you to switch Keldeo out. Use Icy Wind on Dragon-types switching in to lower their Speed and take out a decent chunk of their health. Hidden Power Flying should be used to hit Mega Venusaur, which will usually switch into Keldeo in the attempt to wall it. Use Keldeo early-game to wallbreak and soften up the opposing team for a teammate to clean late-game. Avoid getting Keldeo paralyzed, as it needs its Speed in order to effectively wallbreak, and try to keep it away from burns or poison, as they generally wear it down very quickly. Take advantage of Keldeo's defensive typing by switching it into Bisharp and Mega Gyarados.

Team Options
========

Bounce Gyarados and Psychic Starmie are both good partners for Keldeo, as they are able to eliminate Mega Venusaur, Keldeo's main counter and a major threat to this set if Hidden Power Flying is forgone. Azumarill is another good partner, as both it and Keldeo are powerful wallbreakers that can put huge dents into the opponent's team so that a teammate can clean later in the game. Mega Gyarados and Mega Sharpedo appreciate Keldeo weakening their checks and allowing them to sweep. Mega Sharpedo also appreciates Keldeo weakening or burning Slowbro so that it can take Slowbro out. Empoleon and Swampert are both good teammates thanks to their ability to set and remove entry hazards. Stealth Rock from both of them allows Keldeo to gain extra KOs, such as on Mega Venusaur, by weakening foes every time they switch in, while hazard removal support from Empoleon prevents Keldeo from being worn down too easily itself. Swampert also provides an Electric immunity, allowing it to switch into Electric-type attacks. Lanturn provides an Electric immunity as well but, on top of that, it provides invaluable Heal Bell support to remove the likes of paralysis, burns, and poison from Keldeo and a slow Volt Switch to bring Keldeo in safely. Tentacruel can help against Fairy-types, which trouble Keldeo; set Toxic Spikes for Keldeo, which it really appreciates to help it wallbreak; deal with Grass-types; and spread burns with Scald alongside Keldeo, wearing down the foe. Volcanion and Cloyster are able to deal with the Grass-types that Keldeo struggles with, as Keldeo has to rely on a rather weak Icy Wind to hit them. Furthermore, Cloyster appreciates Keldeo's wallbreaking capabilities in order to sweep late-game. Manaphy and Keldeo both share the same checks, so Manaphy can help wear down the Keldeo's checks—and vice versa—while also stallbreaking with Tail Glow. Rotom-W provides a Ground imminity, which is useful, as Excadrill is a threat to Keldeo. In addition, it provides Will-O-Wisp support to cripple the foe, an Electric resistance, and slow Volt Switch support to safely bring Keldeo in.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Scald is Keldeo's main STAB move and wears down the foe, especially if it manages to burn them, crippling them and wearing them down quicker. Secret Sword allows Keldeo to better take on specially defensive walls that take little from its STAB moves; these walls include Chansey, whose sky-high Special Defense stat allows it to shrug off any damage dealt by Keldeo's special moves. Hydro Pump is Keldeo's stronger Water-type STAB move and is great for severely weakening the foe if not outright OHKOing them, though it might miss at crucial moments. Icy Wind is a good move to spam against Dragon-types and Grass-types that take little damage from Keldeo's other moves, because of its additional effect, which lowers the foe's Speed, crippling them and making it easier for them to be revenge killed. Hidden Power Electric hits opposing Water-types and Flying-types, most notably Gyarados.

Set Details
========

A Timid nature with maximum EVs in Speed amplifies Keldeo's pace and, when paired with a Choice Scarf, allows it to outspeed the base 100 Speed tier, making it an efficient revenge killer as well as a late-game cleaner. Furthermore, Keldeo is also one of the few viable Choice Scarf users on Water, so it is a staple on most offense teams in need of the aforementioned roles. Maximum Special Attack EVs augment Keldeo's damage output and allow it to deal as much damage as possible.

Usage Tips
========

Primarily, this set should be used as a revenge killer to Pokemon such as Dragonite and Serperior, threatening them with Keldeo's great Special Attack, decent coverage, and high Speed when equipped with a Choice Scarf. Be wary of what move to use, as Keldeo will be spamming the move until it switches out or until its item is removed, and it can easily be exploited if it is locked into an unfavorable move. Spam Scald most of the time to spread possible burns and chip away at the foe's health, but be careful of Pokemon that might take advantage of it, such as Water Absorb users. Keldeo should be sent out late-game to sweep and clean up after its teammates have broken down the opposing team. Consequently, refrain from sending Keldeo out on neutral hits or status moves like Thunder Wave, as you need to keep it as healthy as possible to ensure it can effectively sweep. While Keldeo is a nice check to common Knock Off users like Scizor and Bisharp, losing its Choice Scarf destroys its ability to be an effective late-game cleaner, so be careful when up against the aforementioned Pokemon or any suspected Knock Off user. Use Hidden Power Electric on Gyarados when it switches in, as Gyarados can otherwise threaten Keldeo with Bounce.

Team Options
========

Mega Swampert is a great partner to Keldeo for many reasons; first off, it provides a much-needed Knock Off switch-in so that Keldeo can keep its Choice Scarf and, consequently, its role as a revenge killer. Secondly, it can set Stealth Rock for Keldeo, which is really appreciated, as it can help Keldeo weaken the foe. Finally, it provides an Electric immunity, which is invaluable, as Keldeo usually struggles against Electric-types and loves support to help with this. Wallbreakers, such as Azumarill and Tail Glow Manaphy, are able to punch holes into the opposing team, making it fairly undemanding for Keldeo to sweep late-game; they are also able to whittle down Keldeo's checks and counters in the process, allowing it an easier time to sweep. Another good partner to Keldeo is Rotom-W, which can bring Keldeo in with a slow Volt Switch, preventing Keldeo from getting hurt in the process, and also cripple the foe with Will-O-Wisp. Empoleon provides Stealth Rock support, allowing Keldeo to have an easier time wearing down the foe. It also has access to Defog, alleviating the pressure off Keldeo if it is switching in a lot and preventing it from being worn down. Choice Specs Volcanion is a nice partner that can also punch a lot of holes into the opposing team, but also deal with Mega Venusaur, a major threat to both Keldeo in general and in particular, this set. Gyarados helps with Grass-types, and Mega Gyarados and Mega Sharpedo can aid Keldeo in dealing with Psychic-types that it often struggles to beat. Lanturn can spread burns alongside Keldeo with Scald. Not only that, but it brings an immunity to Electric to the table, as well as invaluable support in Heal Bell. Tentacruel and Starmie are both very useful partners; the former deals with Grass- and Fairy-types, can also spread burns with Scald, can remove hazards with Rapid Spin, and on top of that provides Toxic Spikes support, whereas the latter provides a Mega Venusaur answer and Rapid Spin support.

[SET]
name: Substitute + Calm Mind (Water)
move 1: Calm Mind
move 2: Substitute
move 3: Scald
move 4: Secret Sword
item: Leftovers
ability: Justified
nature: Timid
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Calm Mind boosts Keldeo's Special Attack and Special Defense, which, when coupled with its hard-hitting STAB moves, allows it to take on types like Normal and Steel even better. Substitute works well with Calm Mind, as it allows Keldeo to set up easily without the fear of being inflicted with status or hit with a hard attack. Substitute also allows Keldeo to scout for the foe's moves, easing prediction. Scald is Keldeo's primary STAB move and has the handy chance to burn, which is very useful for crippling physical attackers and wearing them down. It also makes it harder for physical attackers to break Keldeo's Substitute, granting it extra opportunities to set up. Secret Sword is Keldeo's secondary STAB move and allows it to break through specially defensive Pokemon such as Chansey and Cradily, both of which simply shrug off any damage dealt by Scald.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed investment with a Timid nature allows Keldeo to outspeed the crowded base 100 Speed tier, and maximum Special Attack investment is used to get the most out of Keldeo's offensive potential. For the item, Leftovers provides Keldeo with gradual passive recovery, which is useful for when it is boosting and behind a Substitute. It also allows for more Substitutes to be made, which in turn helps Keldeo easily boost.

Usage Tips
========

By virtue of its typing, Keldeo is able to set up easily, so use said defensive typing to your advantage. It's best to use Substitute when you expect the foe to switch out or when you're absolutely sure that it can't do much to Keldeo. Take advantage of Leftovers by bluffing a Choice set, allowing Keldeo to find opportunities to create more Substitutes. Keldeo is best used as a late-game sweeper when its counters have been eliminated by its teammates, which makes setting up much easier. Furthermore, Keldeo can work as a good revenge killer thanks to its good Speed and Special Attack. Make sure you keep Keldeo as healthy as possible. Avoid strong attacks and status moves so that Keldeo is able to create more Substitutes and set up more. Don't use Calm Mind recklessly; it's best to use it against weak and passive Pokemon that fail to even touch Keldeo. Examples of such Pokemon include Armaldo and non-Power Whip variants of Ferrothorn.

Team Options
========

Substitute + Calm Mind Keldeo appreciates having Volcanion as a wallbreaker to soften up the foe, allowing Keldeo to set up and sweep late-game. Both of them also share similar checks and can wear down the opponent's team together. Additionally, it can help deal with Grass-types for Keldeo, which is useful, seeing as this set lacks Icy Wind. Mega Venusaur checks like Starmie and Gyarados are appreciated, as Mega Venusaur laughs at Keldeo due to its inability to do much to it. Rotom-W is another good partner because it allows Keldeo to safely get in with Volt Switch, can chip away at the foe in the process, and can wear down the foe with Will-O-Wisp so that Keldeo has an easier time creating Substitutes. Burns also cripple physical attackers and walls, allowing Keldeo to take them on more easily. Swampert and Empoleon both set entry hazards for Keldeo, which is appreciated to net more KOs. Swampert also provides an Electric immunity. Another Pokemon that provides an immunity to Electric is Lanturn, which can switch into some attacks for Lanturn, such as Starmie's Psychic, Togekiss's Psychic, and all Electric-type attacks thanks to Volt Absorb. It can also remove status ailments such as burn and poison from Keldeo with Heal Bell, allowing Keldeo to have an easier time setting up. Tentacruel is another partner to think about, as it can provide Toxic Spikes support to wear down the foe, check Grass-types like Whimsicott, and check Fairy-types like Mega Diancie. It can also remove hazards for Keldeo, which is useful, as Keldeo is worn down very quickly by them.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

**Water:**

A RestTalk set can be used to help Keldeo counter Dark-types better and also have a way to restore its HP, but Rest + Sleep Talk is a fairly unreliable combination, and Keldeo has to forgo two STAB coverage moves if it does decide to run such a set. As a result of this, Keldeo is unable to wallbreak or revenge kill, making a Choice or Substitute + Calm Mind set generally a better option. Expert Belt or Mystic Water can be used to bluff Choice Specs and still boost the power of some of Keldeo's moves; however, the decrease in power is noticeable. Life Orb can be used to remain slightly powerful and have the ability to switch moves (which is unavailable when running Choice Scarf or Choice Specs), though Keldeo is worn down more if you opt for this option. Taunt can be used in conjunction with Keldeo's high Speed to prevent sweepers from setting up as well as stop Pokemon such as Skarmory and Ferrothorn from setting entry hazards. However, Keldeo has to forgo a coverage move to run this. Focus Blast can be used alongside Secret Sword to grant Keldeo Fighting-type coverage against physically defensive Pokemon, but Keldeo again must drop a coverage a move. Salac Berry can be used on the Substitute + Calm Mind set if Keldeo is going to be setting up Substitutes often, as the boost in Speed is greatly appreciated, and Keldeo can sweep teams if it has a few Calm Mind boosts under its belt. However, the gradual recovery from Leftovers is appreciated. Hidden Power Rock can be used to OHKO Mega Charizard Y.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water**:

**Grass-types**: Bulky Grass-types such as Mega Venusaur, Celebi, and Whimsicott wall Keldeo due to Keldeo's inability to do much to them outside of the relatively weak Icy Wind. Whimsicott can also mess around with Keldeo by crippling it with Prankster Stun Spore.

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-types such as Latias take little damage from Keldeo's STAB moves and can take it out with their Psychic-type STAB moves; however, they must be wary of a Scald burn, which can cripple them.

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types such as Dragalge are able to take out Keldeo thanks to their typing and many resistances. Dragalge resists both Water and Fighting, and while Zygarde does not, it is still able to 2HKO Keldeo with the combination of Earthquake and Extreme Speed. However, they must be wary of Icy Wind.

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types such as Azumarill and Togekiss resist Secret Sword, as well as Scald in the former's case, and can hit Keldeo back with their super effective STAB moves. Togekiss can cripple Keldeo with Thunder Wave and 2HKO it with Air Slash, while Azumarill can set up on Keldeo and prepare to sweep. Even without a boost, Azumarill OHKOes Keldeo with Play Rough.

**Water-types**: Jellicent walls Keldeo thanks to its immunity to Fighting and Water. Tentacruel and Slowbro are able to set up Toxic Spikes and boost with Calm Mind, respectively, while Keldeo can't do much to them.

**Faster Pokemon**: Thundurus-T, Mega Gallade, and Mega Diancie all outspeed non-Choice Scarf variants of Keldeo and immediately threaten it with a Life Orb-boosted Thunderbolt, Zen Headbutt, and Moonblast, all of which instantly KO it. Serperior is another threat to Keldeo, as it OHKOes it with Leaf Storm, though it must be wary of switching into Icy Wind or Secret Sword.

**Status**: Paralysis slows Keldeo down, making it much harder for it to wallbreak, sweep late-game, or set up depending on the set. Poison and burns wear Keldeo down, and this also makes setting up harder for Keldeo, as it has no method of reliable recovery.

this is ready for QC, i originally had specs > scarf > subcm but scarf and specs were really really similar and there was no point having two sets that were similar, if not exactly the same, but i'd like some opinions on this.

I would separate the two. They operate pretty differently, sure they both are Bisharp checks and Dark resists etc, but the specs set is primarily for wallbreaking annoying types like Normal (P2 isn't 2HKOd by scarf secret sword), Dark (BB Mandibuzz / CM Sableye can be annoying for scarf), and Flying (Zapdos/Togekiss)

whereas the scarf set is a great revenge killer that is quite unique on Water teams because everything is really slow. can revenge kill weakened Serperior and Scarf KyuB, +1 Mega Gyarados, +1 Dragonite, etc. Put all this stuff in Usage Tips and this should differentiate the two sets enough.

The teammates section is going to be very similar in terms of defensive synergy, but you can differentiate them offensively because the scarf set likes stuff like TG Manaphy that can wear down checks they share and lets Scarf Keldeo sweep late game, and specs set works especially well with mega sharpedo and gyarados which struggle against normal teams, etc.

will qc once you separate

Alright then, I'll separate them.

  • Hydro Pump fulfils the role of Scald's primary STAB move alongside Scald and has a higher Base Power than it, at the cost of a lower accuracy and losing the helpful chance to burn. It can also help Keldeo net more KOs that it would be unable to get with Scald.

Usage Tips
========

  • Scald should be the move Keldeo spams most of the time so that it can spread burns and wear down the foe. (Emphasize how the burns that Scald inflicts can wear down Keldeo's checks early-game, allowing you to break past them more easily later on)
  • Don't switch Keldeo into unresisted attacks (add "because of its mediocre bulk" or something like that, here), as it needs to maintain its health in order to freely use its coverage options.
  • Avoid using Hydro Pump unless it's absolutely vital, as its low accuracy can be a game-changer.
  • Don't be careless when selecting what move to choose, as Keldeo will be locked into the move, and the foe can easily take advantage of a Choice-locked Pokemon.

  • Bounce Gyarados and Psychic Starmie are both good partners for Keldeo, as they are able to eliminate Mega Venusaur, Keldeo's main check and a major threat to this set.
  • Azumarill is another good partner, as both it and Keldeo are powerful wallbreakers that can put huge dents into the opponent's team so that a teammate can simply clean through it.
  • Mega Gyarados and Mega Sharpedo are able to get rid of Psychic-types that threaten Keldeo, while in return, Keldeo can weaken or remove their checks and allow them to easily sweep.
  • Empoleon and Swampert are both usable teammates thanks to their ability to set and remove entry hazards. Stealth Rock allows Keldeo to gain extra KOs by weakening the foe every time they switch in, while hazard removal support prevents Keldeo from being worn down.

========

  • scald wears down the foe especially if it manages to burn them, crippling them and wearing them down

  • icy wind is a good move to spam against dragons/grass-types as well as other types that don't resist it thanks to the speed drop it causes.
  • hp flying hits mega venusaur on the switch / hp bug hits psychic types / hp electric hits water-types (Take out mention of HP Flying, it only does (31.1 - 36.7%) to offensive Mega Venu variants. It should stay on the CSpecs set though, since that does 2HKO. The other hidden powers are ok, because they can fill more purposes and 2HKO their target after Stealth Rock)

Set Details
========

  • timid nature + max evs in speed maximize keldeo's speed and when paired with a choice scarf allows keldeo to outspeed the unboosted base 100 speed tier
  • Add in how Keldeo is one of the few viable users of Choice Scarf on Water (rotom-w and possibly volcanion are the only other two, although the latter is better with Specs)
  • max special attack augments keldeo's damage output

  • be wary of what to lock keldeo in, as it can easily be exploited when locked into an unfavorable move
  • scald should be the move keldeo uses most of the times, icy wind is usable to hit grasses that tend to switch in on keldeo. refrain from using hydro pump due to its inaccuracy.
  • keldeo should be sent out during the late-game to clean up the opposing team. therefore, it should ideally be kept healthy and not statused/worn down/switched in on neutral or super effective hits.
  • choice scarf enables keldeo to be an effective late-game cleaner and revenge killer so for this reason, it's best to make sure it isn't removed so as to not make it harder to revenge kill Are you referring to Knock Off here? I'd reword this part a bit, maybe like "Although Keldeo is a great check for common Knock Off users like Bisharp and Scizor, losing its Choice Scarf makes it harder for Keldeo to revenge kill and clean late-game"

Team Options
========

  • mega swampert is a good partner due to its ability to absorb knock off for keldeo and also provide entry hazard support to allow keldeo to easily get kos.
  • wallbreakers that can effectively punch holes in the opposing team are appreciated to make it fairly undemanding for keldeo to sweep late-game, pokemon that provide this support include azumarill and tail glow manaphy.

  • empoleon also provides stealth rock as well as defog support which is useful for keldeo to prevent it from being worn down easily
  • scarf volcanion is a good partner as it can punch lots of holes into the opposing team with steam eruption I wouldn't pair Scarf Volcanion with Scarf Keldeo, say Specs Volc > Scarf Volc since it seriously tears up Grass teams, 2HKOing SpD Cradily for example.

  • mega gya and mega sharpedo can eliminate psychics for keldeo while keldeo removes their checks
  • mega venu checks like starmie / regular gyarados are appreciated as venu walls keldeo don't say "regular gyarados" just say "gyarados", and move this bullet point right before the one above to help with clarity
  • rotom-w is another good partner b/c it allows keldeo to safely get in with volt switch and can wear down the foe with will-o-wisp so that keldeo has an easier time setting subs
  • swampert and empoleon both set hazards for keldeo which is appreciated to net more kos
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

**Water:**

  • resttalk set to counter dark types better but rest is unreliable Say how you lose out on the wallbreaking or revenge killing capabilities provided by the other sets
  • expert belt / mystic water to bluff specs but decrease in power is noticeable
  • Point out the option of Life Orb possibly
  • surf > scald for more power but chance to burn is more helpful
  • taunt can be used to stall break but this can only be used on the subcm set and keldeo has no space for it
  • focus blast > secret sword for more damage but leaves keldeo walled by chansey
  • sitrus berry / salac berry > lefties on subcm set but gradual recovery is really appreciated and preferred Sitrus Berry shouldn't be mentioned, it is definitely not worth using over Leftovers
  • on subcm set: hidden power electric hits opposing water types
  • on subcm set: hidden power bug hits opposing psychic types but scald hits most for already good damage and the move is quite weak. furthermore, keldeo has no space for these two moves, as two moveslots are taken up by sub and calm mind, so it needs its stab moves in the remaining slots Take out HP Electric and Bug for the SubCM set, Keldeo can't drop anything on that set

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water**:

**Grass-types**: Bulky Grass-types such as Mega Venusaur and Amoonguss wall Keldeo due to Keldeo's inability to do much to them outside of Icy Wind, which is relatively weak.

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-types such as Latias take little damage from Keldeo's STAB moves and can take it out with their Psychic-type STAB moves; however, they must be wary of a Scald burn, which can cripple them.

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types such as Dragalge and Zygarde are able to take out Keldeo thanks to their typing and many resistances. Dragalge resists both Water and Fighting, and while Zygarde does not, it is still able to 2HKO Keldeo with the combination of Earthquake and Extreme Speed. Zygarde isn't the best example here since it doesn't like taking Scald or Secret Sword.

**Water-types**: Jellicent walls Keldeo thanks to its immunity to Fighting and ability Water Absorb which also grants it an immunity to Water. Tentacruel and Slowbro are both able to set up Toxic Spikes and boost with Calm Mind respectively while Keldeo can't do much to them.
Nice work here :) My comments / changes are in bold.

Hey friend!

Overview:
In the coverage line, remove the extra about Hidden Power. I don't think that's necessary and, since Hidden Power Flying is the only slashed Hidden Power on any set, it's not really connected to the rest of your analysis at a glance.

In the outspeeding and OHKOing line, Mega Gallade doesn't have a guaranteed OHKO with Psycho Cut, so Mega Diancie, which is a common threat, is probably better.

AoA:
Moves:
Scald doesn't have a favorable chance to burn, it's only 30%.

"Hydro Pump fulfils the role of Scald's primary STAB move alongside Scald and has a higher Base Power than it, at the cost of a lower accuracy and losing the helpful chance to burn. It can also help Keldeo net more KOs that it would be unable to get with Scald." Not really sure where this is going, but I'd just say it's a more powerful tool to break walls with, although it lacks the accuracy of Scald.

Whimsicott doesn't really belong in the Icy Wind list, as its Prankster Stun Spore still cripples Keldeo.

Hidden Power Flying isn't outclassed by Icy Wind. They do two different things. Hidden Power Flying allows Keldeo to 2HKO Mega Venusaur. Icy Wind instead improves coverage significantly. So instead of saying Hidden Power Flying is outclassed, say it's a loss in coverage.

Hidden Power Electric is pretty niche so you need to explain the exact targets it hits. It hits Azumarill and Gyarados while hitting Volcanion that lack defensive investment harder than Secret Sword does, having a decent chance at KOing after Stealth Rock damage.

Hidden Power Bug makes very little sense on a Water Keldeo, as it's more a tool for Fighting Keldeo to take on Psychic-types, so I wouldn't mention it.

Hidden Power Grass is the only other good Hidden Power because it hits the likes of physically defensive Swampert and Gastrodon, both of which take very little from even Choice Specs Secret Sword, while still doing good damage to Azumarill but loses the coverage against Gyarados and Volcanion.

Set Details:
Technically true that Choice Specs locks Keldeo into a move, but I suspect this might be a relic from a previous Life Orb slashing? The downside of being locked into a move isn't particularly problematic for this set, which does absurd damage and can fish for Scald burns against its checks anyway.

Usage Tips:
I don't understand why someone should avoid using Hydro Pump? It's not particularly inferior to Scald in most matchups. If there is no important Keldeo check to Scald burn, such as Mega Venusaur, Hydro Pump is probably preferred for its sheer damage.

Explain the usage of coverage moves. Select Icy Wind on expected Dragon-type switch-ins, as crippling their Speed is often devastating. Hidden Power Flying should be used to catch Mega Venusaur on the switch in, as otherwise Giga Drain healing will put Mega Venusaur out of range. Hidden Power Grass is useful especially against Water teams that take advantage of rain, as it lands a OHKO on Mega Swampert and a 2HKO on physically defensive Politoed. It can also be used to catch Azumarill switching in, putting it in range of being KOed by another.

Mention something about Keldeo's wallbreaking power. It should be brought in often early-game to break open walls to allow its teammates more freedom.

You should bring up that Keldeo must avoid paralysis at all costs, as being paralyzed can make it slower than the walls it wants to break, potentially putting it in a losing situation such as against Skarmory, Zapdos, and making Mega Venusaur untouchable even with Hidden Power Flying.

Team Options:
"Bounce Gyarados and Psychic Starmie are both good partners for Keldeo, as they are able to eliminate Mega Venusaur, Keldeo's main check and a major threat to this set." Note that this is even more relevant to the Keldeo that lack Hidden Power Flying. While Hidden Power Flying Keldeo can catch it on the switch in for a 2HKO, it is quite unreliable compared to these two options.

For Mega Gyarados and Mega Sharpedo, thanks to Hydro Pump, Keldeo can 2HKO any Psychic-type other than something like Slowbro or Celebi. So instead of saying that they help Keldeo with Psychic-type checks, I would just mention that they appreciate Keldeo weakening their checks. The reason is if Slowbro is KOed, they can easily sweep Psychic teams anyway, so at that point Keldeo's freedom is irrelevant.

Cloyster kinda sucks vs Grass-types. Breloom, Ferrothorn, and Mega Venusaur all easily take it on with little to no worries. I honestly just wouldn't mention it. If you really want to, you can say it takes advantage of Keldeo's ability to break walls down so it can sweep late-game.

You may want to rework the entry hazards section. Swampert can't remove entry hazards. Anyway, name some specific KOes that Keldeo appreciates entry hazards for. One example could be that Mega Venusaur is always 2HKOed after Stealth Rock damage.

However, Swampert is very important for its Electric immunity, so that should be mentioned for sure as an important teammate. Lanturn is another Pokemon immune to Electric-type attacks, and it also has great support options in Toxic, slow Volt Switch, and Heal Bell.

I would add Tentacruel to Team Options. It helps a ton against Fairy-types, it has Rapid Spin, it has Toxic Spikes support, and it can take on some Grass-types and fish for Scald burns.

Manaphy is a great teammate as well, being one of the best stallbreakers. It shares a lot of the same checks as Keldeo, so they can help wear these checks down.

Rotom-W is an okay teammate, being able to use a slow Volt Switch, Will-O-Wisp, and take physical Electric-type attacks quite well. It also comes with an immunity to Ground-type attacks, making it a great switch-in for Excadrill, which can OHKO any even barely damaged Keldeo.

Choice Scarf:
Moves:
Again, Hidden Power Bug is completely useless for Keldeo. Hidden Power Electric is relatively pointless on this set as well, as it lacks the power to KO Slowbro and can't even 2HKO Azumarill.

The only Hidden Power I would consider is Flying, which should definitely have a mention here. Fighting teams are incredibly frustrating for Water to deal with, thanks to the likes of Heracross, Breloom, and Mega Medicham. Hidden Power Flying allows Keldeo to OHKO Heracross after Stealth Rock damage, OHKO Breloom after its Focus Sash is gone, and generally have an easier time with prediction. You absolutely don't want to accidentally burn a Heracross with Scald, as Close Combat will OHKO Keldeo or at worst 2HKO the switch-in afterwards. Hidden Power Flying, while doing quite little without Choice Specs, can also be used to pick off a weakened Mega Venusaur, which is definitely useful at times.

Set Details:
"timid nature + max evs in speed maximize keldeo's speed and when paired with a choice scarf allows keldeo to outspeed the unboosted base 100 speed tier" I don't understand why you said unboosted. Keldeo still outspeeds a +1 base 100 Speed Pokemon.

Keldeo absolutely should never use a Modest nature, because the likes of Choice Scarf Victini and Kyurem-B will now outspeed it.

Usage Tips:
"scald should be the move keldeo uses most of the times, icy wind is usable to hit grasses that tend to switch in on keldeo. refrain from using hydro pump due to its inaccuracy." Doesn't make much sense. Icy Wind is not very good at all, as this set will rarely do any damage to the bulky Grass-types. Instead, Scald spam is very useful to fish for burns against Keldeo's checks. Also, again, Hydro Pump should not be avoided at all. This set seriously lacks power without Choice Specs, so Hydro Pump is invaluable for its damage. If you were to avoid using it, why would it be the 3rd moveslot with no slashing? Hydro is a great move.

Team Options:
Include Swampert's Electric immunity. Also add Lanturn for the reasons I mentioned above. And Tentacruel.

Mention that Choice Specs Volcanion and Starmie are incredibly important for beating Mega Venusaur, which walls this set completely.

SubCM:
Usage Tips:
The bluffing doesn't really work in most cases, but I guess you can keep it here.

Mention that Keldeo should set up Substitute and Calm Mind boosts mainly against passive Pokemon that can't touch it, such as Gyro Ball Ferrothorn or Armaldo.

Team Options:
Choice Specs Volcanion again is very notable for beating Mega Venusaur.

Cloyster isn't very good here at all.

This Keldeo doesn't help Mega Gyarados or Mega Sharpedo against Psychic at all, and if they break down Keldeo's checks, they can sweep themselves.

Again mention the Electric immunities, Tentacruel.

Manaphy is an amazing teammate, as they share similar checks and will break them down so that one of them can eventually sweep.

Other Options:
Surf is awful. Don't use it.

Taunt can be used on a Mystic Water / Expert Belt / Life Orb set. It should not be used on the Substitute + Calm Mind set, which cannot drop any of its 4 moves for anything else.

You can mention that Focus Blast can be run alongside Secret Sword at the cost of coverage, allowing Keldeo to break almost every wall in the game. Secret Sword should never be replaced on any set.

You kept bringing up Hidden Power Bug, so I guess if you really like it, it can go here. I don't think it has any purpose on a Water team though.

Checks and Counters:
Amoonguss is not nearly common enough to warrant a mention. Mega Venusaur can be listed on its own for being a solid check to Keldeo. You could also mention Celebi for stopping Keldeo rather effortlessly. Whimsicott can as well thanks to priority Stun Spore and Giga Drain

Your Dragon section should mention that they need to avoid Icy Wind. Further, as SirSkit said, Zygarde is not a good example because Scald burns will cripple it.

You could add Fairy-types, which are generally quite specially bulky and resist Secret Sword. They also easily OHKO Keldeo with their STAB attacks.

Faster Pokemon should have a mention, as they can revenge kill Keldeo. Particularly good ones are those with super effective coverage, such as Mega Diancie, Thundurus, and Mega Gallade. (Priority revenge killers are quite bad at beating Keldeo due to its great typing)

Status should be here too. Paralysis cripples all variants of Keldeo completely, neutering Keldeo and making it useless. Toxic poison and burns will end any dreams of a Substitute + Calm Mind Keldeo as well.

Overview

"Secret Sword, which differentiates Keldeo from any other Fighting-type special attacker" there doesn't exist another Fighting-type special attacker for water teams so it doesn't need to be differentiated and this line doesn't really make much sense, maybe just change it to Water-type special attacker or just special attacker or remove it.

This is one of the best Pokemon in the entire metagame, so you shouldn't leave out any positive. Mention its great defensive typing letting it check Pokemon like Bisharp and Mega Gyarados, mention how Scald burns can let Keldeo muscle past most of its checks and makes it extremely hard to switch into, and mention how Keldeo is useful in just about every matchup. Stress how Keldeo's high speed is unusual for a water type and what that adds for Water teams.

Specs

Mention some notable OHKOs and 2HKOs that Hydro pump gets (Mega Medicham, can 2HKO specially defensive Zapdos, Mew, etc.)
Remove HP Grass mention from Usage Tips (you don't have it on the set or mentioned in the moves) -- move it to Other Options
Mention its ability to check Bisharp / Mega Gyarados in Usage Tips
Disagree with Eien here, mention in Team Options that getting a burn or chip damage on Slowbro can guarantee the OHKO with Mega Sharpedo and it can sweep

Scarf

This is where HP Electric shines, slash it with Icy Wind. It's one of the best Gyara checks Water teams have to offer (add its use as a Gyara check in usage tips and moves)
Remove HP Flying mentions here, it is really bad and very weak and both of those pkmn take significant damage from STABs (Eien)

Edit: misworded a line, and oh also mention hp rock in oo for specs to ohko zard y

[OVERVIEW]

**Water:**

Keldeo's high Speed and Special Attack make it a staple on most offensive Water teams and, combined with its access to Secret Sword, allow it to break through physical and special walls with Secret Sword alike. Its coverage options in Secret Sword and Icy Wind allow it to as well as easily take on types such as Normal, Dark, Ice, and Steel, and this is further augmented by its great Special Attack stat. (not too happy with my here, but final part is redundant + none of those types are weak to Ice so i'm not sure what Ice is doing there. main problem is repetitiveness across those two sentences, and it might be an idea to just remove it outright) It is able to plough through common bulky cores that Water often has a hard time dealing with, namely Normal's Porygon2 + Chansey and Grass's Cradily + Ferrothorn, with Secret Sword, which differentiates Keldeo from any other Water-type special attacker. Its great defensive typing in Water / Fighting allows it to check a plethora of threats, including Bisharp and Mega Gyarados. Its ability to spread burns with Scald also allows it to muscle past its checks and counters. Furthermore, its unusually high Speed for a Water-type gives Water a reliable wallbreaker and late-game cleaner.

However, outside of its STAB coverage, its movepool is nothing special, and this leaves it unable to hit a lot of Pokemon super effectively or for good neutral damage. Furthermore, while its Speed is above average, it is still outsped by Latios, Latias, and Mega Diancie, all of which can OHKO Keldeo if they run an offensive variant set.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Hidden Power Flying is used to hit Mega Venusaur, which otherwise walls Keldeo; however, it doesn't hit anything else notably, and it is comes with a loss of coverage. Alternatively, Hidden Power Electric can be used to hit opposing Water-types such as Gyarados and Azumarill that wall Keldeo on the switch.

Set Details
========

252 EVs in Speed alongside a Timid nature allow Keldeo to be as fast as possible, while maximum Special Attack is used to increase Keldeo's offensive presence as high much as possible. Choice Specs turns Keldeo into a frightening wallbreaker, boosting the power of all its moves at the cost of being locked into a move one, which generally isn't a big deal for Keldeo anyway.

Usage Tips
========

Don't be careless when selecting what move to choose, as Keldeo will be locked into the move, and the foe can easily take advantage of a Choice-locked Keldeo if its locked into an unpleasant inopportune (subjective I suppose, "unpleasant" just reads really weird) move. For example, when up against a Fire team, if the opponent has a Volcanion, be careful when spamming Scald, as they might switch it into Keldeo, forcing you to switch it out. Use Icy Wind on Dragon-types switching in to cripple lower their Speed and take a decent chunk of their health.

========

Bounce Gyarados and Psychic Starmie are both good partners for Keldeo, as they are able to eliminate Mega Venusaur, Keldeo's main counter and a major threat to this set if Hidden Power Flying is forgone. Azumarill is another good partner, as both it and Keldeo are powerful wallbreakers that can put huge dents into the opponent's team so that a teammate can simply clean through it (or "cleave through it" ig) later in the game. Mega Gyarados and Mega Sharpedo appreciate Keldeo weakening their checks and allowing them to sweep, so they also make good partners. Mega Sharpedo also appreciates Keldeo weakening or burning Slowbro so that it can take it out. Empoleon and Swampert are both good teammates thanks to their ability to set and remove entry hazards. Stealth Rock from both of them allows Keldeo to gain extra KOs, such as on Mega Venusaur, by weakening the foe foes every time they switch in, while hazard removal support from Empoleon prevents Keldeo from being worn down from entry hazards too easily itself. Swampert also provides an Electric immunity, allowing it to switch into Electric-type attacks. Lanturn provides an Electric immunity as well but, (AC) on top of that, it provides invaluable Heal Bell support to remove the likes of (or dont include this, or make it "status ailments such as", idm, i just want to get rid of "and the like") paralysis, burns, and poison and the like from Keldeo and a slow Volt Switch to bring Keldeo in safely. Tentacruel helps against Fairy-types, which trouble Keldeo; can set Toxic Spikes for Keldeo, which it really appreciates to help it wallbreak; can also deal with Grass-types; and spread burns with Scald alongside Keldeo, wearing down the foe. Rotom-W provides an Ground imminity, which is useful, as Excadrill is a threat to Keldeo. In addition, it provides Will-O-Wisp support to cripple the foe, an Electric resistance, and slow Volt Switch support to safely bring Keldeo in.

Moves

Scald is Keldeo's main STAB move and wears down the foe, especially if it manages to burn them, crippling them and wearing them down quicker. Secret Sword allows Keldeo to better take on specially defensive walls that take little from its STAB moves; these walls include Chansey, which has a whose sky-high Special Defense stat that allows it to shrug off any damage dealt by Keldeo's special moves. Hydro Pump is Keldeo's stronger Water-type STAB move and is great for severely weakening the foe if not outright OHKOing them, though it might miss at crucial moments, leaving it a tad bit unreliable.

Set Details
========

A Timid nature with maximum EVs in Speed amplifies Keldeo's pace (RC) and, (AC) when paired with a Choice Scarf, allows it to outspeed the base 100 Speed tier, making it an efficient revenge killer as well as a late-game cleaner. Furthermore, Keldeo is also one of the few viable Choice Scarf users on Water, so it is a staple on most offense teams in need of the aforementioned roles. Maximum Special Attack EVs augment Keldeo's damage output and allows allow it to deal as much damage as possible.

Usage Tips
========

Keldeo should be sent out late-game to sweep and clean up after its teammates have punctured broken down (real awkward use + doesn't seem to have the nuance you're looking for in the first place) the opposing team.

========

Mega Swampert is a great partner to Keldeo for many reasons; first off, it provides a much needed Knock Off switch-in so that Keldeo can maintain keep (can't use this verb for tangible things) its Choice Scarf and, (AC) consequently, its role as a revenge killer. Secondly, it can set Stealth Rock for Keldeo, which is really appreciated, as it can help Keldeo weaken the foe. Finally, it provides an Electric immunity, which is rather invaluable, as Keldeo usually struggles against Electric-types and loves support to help with this. Another good partner to Keldeo is Rotom-W, which can bring Keldeo in with a slow Volt Switch, preventing Keldeo from getting hurt in the process, (AC) and also cripple the foe with Will-O-Wisp. Empoleon provides Stealth Rock support, allowing Keldeo to have an easier time wearing down the foe. It also has access to Defog, alleviating the pressure off of Keldeo if it is switching in a lot and preventing it from being worn down. Choice Specs Volcanion is a nice partner that can also punch a lot of holes into the opposing team, but also deal with Mega Venusaur, a major threat to both Keldeo in general and in particular, this set. Gyarados helps with Grass-types, while Mega Gyarados and Mega Sharpedo can aid Keldeo in dealing with Psychic-types that it often struggles to beat. Lanturn can spread burns alongside Keldeo with Scald. Not only that, but it brings an immunity to Electric to the table, as well as invaluable support in Heal Bell. Tentacruel and Starmie are both very useful partners; the former deals with Grass- and Fairy-types, can also spread burns with Scald, can remove hazards with Rapid Spin, and on top of that (RC) provides Toxic Spikes support, whereas the latter provides a Mega Venusaur answer and Rapid Spin support.

Moves
========

Calm Mind boosts Keldeo's Special Attack and Special Defense, which, when coupled with its hard-hitting STAB moves, allows it to take on types like Normal and Steel even better. Substitute works well with Calm Mind, as it allows Keldeo to set up easily without the fear of being inflicted with status ailments or hit with a hard attack.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed investment with a Timid nature allows Keldeo to outspeed the crowded base 100 Speed tier, and maximum Special Attack investment is used to get the most out of Keldeo's offensive potential. For the item, Leftovers provides Keldeo with gradual and passive recovery, which is useful for when it is boosting and behind a substitute. It also allows for more Substitutes to be made, which in turn (RC) helps Keldeo easily boost.

Usage Tips
========

By virtue of its typing, Keldeo is able to set up easily, so use said defensive typing to your advantage. It's best to use Substitute when you expect the foe to switch out or when you're absolutely sure that they it can't do much to you Keldeo. Take advantage of Leftovers by bluffing a Choice set, allowing Keldeo to find opportunities to create more Substitutes. Keldeo is best used as a late-game sweeper when its counters have been eliminated by its teammates, (comma) this which makes setting up much easier, as it need not worry about said counters. Furthermore, Keldeo can work as a good revenge killer thanks to its good Speed and Special Attack. Make sure you keep Keldeo as healthy as possible. Avoid strong attacks and status ailments moves so that it Keldeo is able to create more Substitutes and set up more. Don't use Calm Mind recklessly; it's best to use it against weak and passive Pokemon that fail to even touch Keldeo. Examples of such Pokemon include Armaldo and non-Power Whip variants of Ferrothorn.

Team Options
========

SubCM Keldeo appreciates having Volcanion as a wallbreaker to soften up the foe, allowing Keldeo to set up and sweep late-game. Both of them also share similar checks and can wear down the opponent's team together. Not only that, but Voclanion Additionally, (AC) can also help deal with Grass-types for Keldeo, which is useful, seeing as this set lacks Icy Wind. Burns also cripple physical attackers and walls, allowing Keldeo to more easily take them on more easily. It can also remove status ailments such as burn and poison from Keldeo with Heal Bell, allowing it to have an easier time setting up.

**Water:**

A RestTalk set can be used to help Keldeo counter Dark-types better and also have a way to restore its HP, but Rest + Sleep Talk is a fairly unreliable combination, and Keldeo has to forgo two STAB (coverage?) moves if it does decide to run such a set. As a result of this, Keldeo is unable to wallbreak or revenge kill, making a Choice or SubCM set generally a better option. Expert Belt or Mystic Water can be used to bluff Choice Specs and still boost the power of some of Keldeo's Fighting-type and Water-type STAB moves respectively; (not accurate atm, and rewording it is gonna make it super clunky, so thisll work too) however, the decrease in power is noticeable. Life Orb can be used to remain slightly powerful and have the ability to switch moves (which is unavailable when running Choice Scarf or Choice Specs), though Keldeo is worn down more if you opt for this option. Taunt can be used in conjunction with Keldeo's high Speed to prevent setup sweepers from setting up as well as stop entry hazard setters Pokemon such as Skarmory and Ferrothorn from setting entry hazards. However, Keldeo has to forgo a coverage move to run this. Focus Blast can be used alongside Secret Sword to grant it Fighting-type coverage against physically defensive Pokemon, but Keldeo again must drop a coverage a move. Salac Berry can be used on the SubCM set if Keldeo is going to be creating setting up Substitutes a lot often, as the boost in Speed is greatly appreciated, and Keldeo can sweep teams if it has a few Calm Mind boosts under its belt. However, the gradual recovery from Leftovers is appreciated. Hidden Power Rock can be used to OHKO Mega Charizard Y.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water**:

**Grass-types**: Bulky Grass-types such as Mega Venusaur, Celebi, and Whimsicott wall Keldeo due to Keldeo's inability to do much to them outside of the relatively weak Icy Wind, which is relatively weak.

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types such as Azumarill and Togekiss resist Secret Sword, (AC) and as well as Scald in the former's case, and can hit Keldeo back with their super effective STAB moves.

Tentacruel and Slowbro are both able to set up Toxic Spikes and boost with Calm Mind, (AC) respectively, (AC) while Keldeo can't do much to them.

Serperior is another threat to Keldeo, as it OHKOes it with Leaf Storm, though it must be wary of switching in to into Icy Wind or Secret Sword.

**Status**: Paralysis slows Keldeo down, making it much harder for it to wallbreak, sweep late-game, or set up depending on the set you decide to run. Poison and burns wear it Keldeo down, and this also makes setting up harder for Keldeo, as it has no method of reliable recovery.

[OVERVIEW]

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

========

Rotom-W provides an Ground imminity, which is useful, as Excadrill is a threat to Keldeo. In addition, it provides Will-O-Wisp support to cripple the foe, an Electric resistance, and slow Volt Switch support to safely bring Keldeo in.

[OVERVIEW]

**Water:**

Keldeo's high Speed and Special Attack make it a staple on most offensive Water teams and, combined with its access to Secret Sword, allow it to break through physical and special walls alike as well as easily take on types such as Normal, Dark, Ice, and Steel. It is able to plough plow through common bulky cores that Water often has a hard time dealing with, namely Normal's Porygon2 + Chansey and Grass's Cradily + Ferrothorn, with Secret Sword, which differentiates Keldeo from any other Water-type special attacker.

However, outside of its STAB coverage, its movepool is nothing special; (SC) and this leaves it unable to hit a lot of Pokemon super effectively or for good neutral damage. Furthermore, while its Speed is above average, it is still outsped by Latios, Latias, and Mega Diancie, all of which can OHKO Keldeo if they run an offensive set.

Moves
========

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

For example, when up against a Fire team, (RC) if and the opponent has a Volcanion, be careful when spamming Scald, as they might switch it into Keldeo, forcing you to switch it Keldeo out.

========

Mega Sharpedo also appreciates Keldeo weakening or burning Slowbro so that it can take it Slowbro out. Tentacruel can helps against Fairy-types, which trouble Keldeo; can set Toxic Spikes for Keldeo, which it really appreciates to help it wallbreak; can deal with Grass-types; and spread burns with Scald alongside Keldeo, wearing down the foe. Rotom-W provides an Ground imminity, which is useful, as Excadrill is a threat to Keldeo. In addition, it provides Will-O-Wisp support to cripple the foe, an Electric resistance, and slow Volt Switch support to safely bring Keldeo in.

Moves
========

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

========

Gyarados helps with Grass-types, while and Mega Gyarados and Mega Sharpedo can aid Keldeo in dealing with Psychic-types that it often struggles to beat.

Moves
========

Set Details
========

It also allows for more Substitutes to be made, which in turn helps Keldeo easily boost.

Usage Tips
========

========

Swampert and Empoleon both set entry hazards for Keldeo, which is appreciated to net more KOs. any specifics? Swampert also provides an Electric immunity. Another Pokemon that provides an immunity to Electric is Lanturn, which can switch into some attacks for Lanturn, such as Starmie's Psychic, Togekiss's Psychic, and all Electric-type attacks thanks to Volt Absorb. It can also remove status ailments such as burn and poison from Keldeo with Heal Bell, allowing it Keldeo to have an easier time setting up.

Other Options
=============

Focus Blast can be used alongside Secret Sword to grant it Keldeo Fighting-type coverage against physically defensive Pokemon, but Keldeo again must drop a coverage a move.

===================

**Status**: Paralysis slows Keldeo down, making it much harder for it to wallbreak, sweep late-game, or set up depending on the set you decide to run. Poison and burns wear Keldeo down, and this also makes setting up harder for Keldeo, as it has no method of reliable recovery.

It also allows for more Substitutes to be made, which in turn helps Keldeo easily boost.

Usage Tips
========

========

Swampert and Empoleon both set entry hazards for Keldeo, which is appreciated to net more KOs. any specifics? Swampert also provides an Electric immunity. Another Pokemon that provides an immunity to Electric is Lanturn, which can switch into some attacks for Lanturn, such as Starmie's Psychic, Togekiss's Psychic, and all Electric-type attacks thanks to Volt Absorb. It can also remove status ailments such as burn and poison from Keldeo with Heal Bell, allowing it Keldeo to have an easier time setting up.

Other Options

Focus Blast can be used alongside Secret Sword to grant it Keldeo Fighting-type coverage against physically defensive Pokemon, but Keldeo again must drop a coverage a move.

===================

**Status**: Paralysis slows Keldeo down, making it much harder for it to wallbreak, sweep late-game, or set up depending on the set you decide to run. Poison and burns wear Keldeo down, and this also makes setting up harder for Keldeo, as it has no method of reliable recovery.
