in HGSS does the radio show in the bottom right hand corner vary by day? 2 of them which I can't remember the names of advance the frame by 1 each, but Buena's Password doesn't advance it at all. Does Buena's Password only appear on Tuesdays or something?

Pokémon search party plays for one hour from 00:00, 03:00, 06:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00 and 21:00.
Serial Radio Drama plays for one hour from 01:00, 04:00, 07:00, 10:00, 13:00, 16:00, 19:00 and 22:00.
If your time is outside this, you will get Buena's Password, which cannot be used as it does not affect

the poke flute doesn't advance the frame at all, right? (so if I advance it to one before the target with elm calls then turn the radio to poke flute and talk to snorlax it should work?)
 
Alright so I'm in the process of learning how to RNG Breed on HG. I just want to see if I'm doing this right.

I took not of the three roamers Raikou, Entie, Latias. Then I save and turn the game off. My target time is 4:57:13 with a delay of 487 and frame of 5. So I set my DS time to 4:56 since my usual seconds delay is 13. Load the game SR when the time reached 4:57:00 and once in-game I immediately go to the PokeGear and check the positions of my roamers. My question is, for every time I don't land on my delay/seed do I need to take note of the positions of the roamers again? or can I continue to base my SR off the first Positions of the roamers I took note of.
 
You base your SR off the first position of the roamers - ie the time right before you save. All subsequent resets and differing roamer locations are used to show what delay you landed on.

Note that a frame of 5 on the nature/Shininess/gender/ability section is rather high. Ideally, you want 1 or 2 so you don't have to do any advancements. I hear you can Joey to advance the frame by 2 each - if you're doing it this way, then you're fine.

For IVs soft reset, set the frame a bit higher than 5. Like 7-9 or more maybe so that you can get a good elm verification.

Alright cool. So I landed on my delay/seed. Now I need to deposit my Parents and then call Joey 2 times to advance my frame to 5 correct? After this do I just ride up and down until they produce an egg and will the first egg be my egg? Sorry I just want to be VERY SURE
 
If i start up platinum ready to catch somethin RNG abused is the starting frame 0?


like if my target frame is 1 so would i have to advance it ?
 
Champloo: Starting frame is not always 3 - it depends on roamers. With 3 roamers, it is often times 3...but sometimes it can be more. I've had it at 4 before so yeah. It's nothing to concern yourself with though - simply enter in your data into RNG Reporter and it will calculate it for you. From there, just confirm with roamer location and a few elm calls to see if you hit your delay. That's the reason you should normally pick a target frame of about 7 or more when IV abusing.

Also, I take it that means you got the shiny egg - congratulations :)

Riddlinkid: To my knowledge, Joey call advances it too (it says so in most guides I've read). If that has changed, then nvm, but yeah :P

-Lux-: Starting frame is 0 + monster frame + roamers + random NPC Movements before the interaction. So sorta but not really, lolz.

Crap..I'm lost now I did the entire amount of Elm Calls to confirm my delay and I did land on it.

Basically this is where I'm at and I'm to scared to move now until I'm sure what it is I need to do lol:

Seed: F70C01FD
Delay: 495
Frame: 9
Elm Repsonses: P, K, E, K, P, E, P, E, K, E, P, K
Roamers: R: 35, E: 36, L: 14

So I basically did all those calls. Did I advance the frame to far O_o....
 
Yes, unfortunately so - you can call elm as much as you want for Shiny/ability/nature/gender but that's because it's on a separate counter.

Riski has put forth an amazing amount of effort (and time) putting together her guide on this part - which is amazingly helpful and imo how you should be doing all types of IV abuse and catching. Thanks to Pehu as well. I don't think anyone else can give a better explanation so I'll just paste the link:

That's what I'm reading :P and I just read the part where I should match the calls up to a frame before I hit my frame. CRAP oh well at least now I know what to do. Basically hit my seed, match my calls up until a FRAME before my target frame. exit out and collect the egg as fast as possible and then just hatch to the egg to check. CRAP I hate hitting my delay/seed I need to learn how to use Pikatimer since I hear it's a godsend when it comes to hitting delays.

EDIT: So I basically advanced the frame to 15 since I was at three and I called Elm 12 times correct?
