Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I need help using Pikatimer
1)I enter my calibrated delay (608) and seconds 14 in the box.
2)My wanted delay is 641 and seconds is 14 so I enter that.
3)My time shown in seed to time finder is 15:08:14 and it says"Minutes before target" is 1.
4)I set my time to 15:07:00.
5)I reset when the first timer hits zero.
Now,Do I just mash 'A' till I reach the game world or till i reach the continue screen ?
 
Normally, your delays are only even or only odd, so if you've calibrated an even results, make sure your target delay is even as well.

And once resetting for the first timer, you want to enter the game world (ie hit continue) once the second timer reaches zero.

Oh ok I didn't know that the target delay should be even I put in my fire red cartridge and thought I would hit the odd target delay but I guess I have to change my target delay
 
OH - if you calibrated without your fire red and got even you can certainly put it in to get odd. My mistake, I didn't assume that you knew about.
 
Whats the diffrence between Legandary capture and wild capture? is it just use Sweet scent instead of Talking to them or what?
 
Yes, which means monster frame is different. Majority of legendaries have a monster frame of 1 while sweet scenting is usually 2 or 3 depending on where you are (can be 1 in HG/SS too).

Other than that, be careful of wandering NPCs and you should be fine.

And of course encounter slots! Can't believe I forgot that earlier. Legend = always get legend when using a spread (duh :P). Wild capture...what pokemon you get from sweet scenting can vary so you'll have to use the nifty encounter code link RNG Reporter gives you.
 
I'm attempting to id/sid abuse for the second time, however I am only getting odd delays. I've tried inserting a GBA game and changing the year, neither worked. Thanks for any help.
EDUT: Nevermind, I just hit the delay! Woohoo!
 
ok so i was rnging dialga in the sinjoh ruins and my delay was 700 and frame 114. i hit the frame before 114 obviously but as soon as i get dialga, i found out i hit a frame of 129. i have arceus in my party along with another pokemon. Anything wrong?
 
I'm not sure if this is the place to ask, but I want to learn the ways of RNG, but nothing on the front page makes any sense to me. I know my SID and am playing SoulSilver. Can someone help me out?

And, if yes, could you VM me?
 
Arcticblast: I suggest reading Riski's guide and watching some youtube videos first to start out so you at least have a general knowledge of how to RNG before getting direct one on one help (which you'll find most of the time isn't needed).
 
i just trying to see wat seconds and delay i hit before i do anything else but this is wat i got first time around tell me does this seem alright or something weird about it

Calibrated results look fine, but you need to do it more to narrow down your seconds.
Riski's guide, as always, is the place to look.
 
i did everything right but i'm stuck at the changing time/date part

1) all you do for the changing of the date is change your current date on your ds 2 days ahead? for example, if i had 9/16 then i should change it to 9/18?

2) this is the MOST confusing to me

my target time is 2:00:14
this makes my synchronize time 1:59:00
and my reset time 2:00:00

now if i sync my clock with another, i have to wait till the next minute starts (2:00:00) and im suppose to reset at that point which i can't cus the DS will only let me turn it off, not reset; i have to turn on the ds all over again to hit my TARGET TIME (2:00:14) but that's impossible cus turning off/on the ds after settin the clock takes up too much time. can you please help? or tell me what im doing wrong?

1. If your target date is 9/18, set the date to 9/18. I don't know why you would set it two days before? That doesn't make a lot of sense.

2. Use Pikatimer it's just a timer that counts instead of that whole syncing thing it's a pain and unnecessary. You don't have to do the soft reset. When you first turn on your DS, you have the option to go to your DS game or your GBA game, instead of resetting you can click the "play DS game" part of that main screen, and that counts as "reset" since they are both starting the game and getting into. That's the way you should be starting your RNG.
 
yea i am rng abusing an egg. i can rng abuse a shiny egg but i'm trying to rng abuse a perfect NON SHINY egg


but like i was saying earlier, my delay is 14 seconds, so turning off my ds right after i set the time to my reset time, would not allow me to get to the continue screen in 14 seconds.

EDIT: i do not own an AR or any other devices, just the ds and the game
 
If you're asking how you reset the game when you can't do the start select etc. thing, then what you do is hit the enter game button on the ds main screen or wherever you do it with an AR.
 
I'm RNG a pokemon and called Joey to advance the frame, but he asked me to battle him. Does that advance the frame whatsoever?

I've heard it's good to avoid Mondays too, but for me it doesn't seem to matter, every time I've RNG'd for HG breeding it's always "lets rebattle" from Joey, and it advances just fine, but that might be my game.
